"Victor managed to win his fifth Gym Badge, before he, Gloria, as well as Gym Leader Opal, go to Hammerlocke to continue their Pokémon journey, when…"

"A Rivalry Revival"

Victor and Gloria continue to walk ahead, past Opal.

"Victor!"

Victor and Gloria turn around, with Opal also looking to the side, with them seeing Bede.

"Bede?" Victor asks.

"I have been waiting for you," Bede says.

"You have…?" Victor asks, with Gloria placing her hands on her hips.

Bede points at Victor, "I challenge you to a Pokémon battle!"

"A-a Pokémon battle?!" Victor responds, surprised.

Opal turns completely, with a small smile.

Gloria stands in front of Victor, "You are no longer a Gym Challenger, Bede. Victor doesn't have to accept your battle challenge."

"It's okay," Victor says, with Gloria turns to look at her. "I want to accept his challenge."

"Excellent," Opal says, with Victor and Gloria looking at her. "Then I will have a little talk with Raihan about letting you two use the Hammerlocke Stadium."

Victor and Gloria watch as Opal turns to leave.

"Then it's settled," Bede starts, with Victor and Gloria looking at him. "It will be a full Pokémon battle…"

"Actually, I only have five Pokémon," Victor raises a hand.

"Pathetic," Bede whispers under his breath, before continuing. "Fine, it will be a five on five battle. Don't take too long to get ready."

Bede turns and starts to walk away, with Victor and Gloria watching him.

"You think he would be more graceful since you're not required to accept his challenge," Gloria says, before looking at her friend. "Speaking of which, why did you accept?"

"It's an old custom that when two Trainers' eyes meet, they have to battle," Victor answers.

"Still…"

"Besides," Victor interrupts. "When I looked into his eyes just now… I can tell how much this battle means to him…"

Gloria tilts her head slightly, "I'm not sure if I understand."

In the stadium, Gloria, Raihan, Opal, and Gloria's Pokémon are sitting in the stands closeby.

Gloria leads forward to Raihan, "Excuse me, but how did Opal convince you to let them use the stadium?"

Raihan continues to look straight ahead, with a sweatdrop, "Opal is very hard to say 'no' to."

Gloria cocks an eyebrow, before noticing Dan in the arena, "No kidding. She got Dan to referee?!"

Dan clears his throat, "Okay, on this side we have Victor, from Postwick! And, on this side we have Bede, from… hum…"

"I'm just Bede. Now let's get this started," Bede holds up a Poké Ball.

"Right, both Trainers send out your first Pokémon," Dan instructs.

"Since I'm the challenger, I'll go first," Bede says, before he throws a Poké Ball. "Go, Gothorita!"

The Poké Ball opens, shoots out red energy and forms Gothorita, "Goth! Goth!"

Victor's Rotom Phone flies, "Gothorita, the Manipulate Pokémon, On nights when the stars shine, this Pokémon's psychic power is at its strongest. It's unknown just what link Gothorita has to the greater universe."

Victor lowers his Rotom Phone and holds up a Poké Ball, "Then I'll choose…" He throws his Poké Ball. "Silicobra!"

The Poké Ball opens, shoots out red energy and forms Silicobra, "Sili!"

Gloria seats back in her chair, with Drizzile looking at her, "Silicobra is Victor's most inexperienced Pokémon. Could he be trying to get more experience and test out Bede's strength."

"Anything is possible," Opal says, as Sirfetch'd looks over to her.

"Let the battle start!" Dan announces.

"Gothorita, Psybeam!" Bede calls out.

"Silicobra, dodge with Dig!" Victor instructs.

"Goth! Goth!" Gothorita fires a beam from her hands.

"Sili!" Silicobra jumps and digs into the ground, barely missing the beam.

"Now, Gothorita, use Rock Tomb to block the hole!" Bede instructs.

"What?!" Victor responds.

"Goth!" Gothorita holds back her arms, as she floats back, while large rocks float next to her and then are launched forward. "Goth!"

Two large rocks stick into the hole, completely blocking it.

"Now, slams the ground with Rock Tomb!" Bede adds.

"Goth! Goth!" Gothorita floats up, as large rocks float up and then slam up and down on the ground.

Victor almost loses his footing, "Whoa?! Wait, don't tell me, are they creating vibrations throughout the ground to lure Silicobra out?!"

Opal leans forward with her hands on her umbrella's handle.

"Sili!" Silicobra suddenly burst out of the ground.

"Silicobra!" Victor calls out.

"Psybeam!"

"Goth! Goth!" Gothorita fires a beam from its hands.

"Sili!" Silicobra is blasted with the beam.

"Silicobra, quick, counter with Brutal Swing!" Victor calls out.

"Sili!" Silicobra spins around, swinging its tail.

"Gothorita, Fake Tears," Bede instructs.

"Goth! Goth!" Gothorita starts to cry.

"Sili?!" Silicobra stops swinging its tail, while blushing.

"Now, Psybeam!"

"Goth," Gothorita stops crying, with a small grin, before firing a beam from its hands. "Goth!"

The beam hits Silicobra at close range and knocks it far back, "Sili!"

"Silicobra!" Victor calls out. "Use Dig to get away!"

"It's too late for that," Bede holds out a hand. "Gothorita, stop it with Rock Tomb!"

"Goth!" Gothorita holds back her arms, as she floats back, while large rocks float next to her and then are launched forward. "Goth!"

"Sili!" Silicobra is slammed by the large rocks, before finding itself surrounded by them, with one pinning its tail. "Sili! Sili!"

"Now, finish this, with Psybeam!" Bede instructs.

"Goth! Goth!" Gothorita fires a beam from its hands.

The beam blasts Silicobra, blowing away some of the large rocks, "Sili!"

"Silicobra!" Victor calls out.

"Sili…" Silicobra is lying on the ground, surrounded by broken pieces of rocks, with its eyes whirling.

Victor sighs, "You did well, Silicobra."

Bede narrows his eyes on Victor.

Raihan watches as Victor recalls Silicobra back to its Poké Ball, before looking over to Gloria, "Has your friends battled before?"

"Bede isn't really a friend," Gloria says, with a sweatdrop, before looking ahead. "But yeah, they did battle once before…"

Hatenna jumps up, avoiding fireballs. Now, straight in front of Scorbunny, Hatenna starts singing a loud song, knocking Scorbunny back by the shockwaves.

Scorbunny is slammed hard against a wall, releasing its ears.

Bede uncrosses his arms, holding out one hand.

Hatenna's body glows brightly, before small orbs shoot from it and hit Scorbunny, before it finishes falling to the ground.

"Victor lost, badly," Gloria finishes answering, with Raihan then looks back ahead. "Victor said Bede needs this battle, but maybe Victor needs this too."

Victor throws a Poké Ball, "Go, Corviknight!"

The Poké Ball opens up, shoots out a red a beam and forms Corviknight, "Knigh!"

"Let's end this quickly," Bede holds out a hand. "Gothorita, Psybeam!"

"Goth! Goth!" Gothorita fires a beam from its hand.

"Corviknight, dodge!" Victor calls out.

"Knigh! Knigh!" Corviknight flies around, dodging the beams, spins around and continues to dodge.

"Counting on Corviknight's aerial mobility?" Bede realizes. "Think again. Gothorita, Rock Tomb!"

"Goth!" Gothorita holds back her arms, as she floats back, while large rocks float next to her and then are launched forward. "Goth!"

"Knigh!" Corviknight flies around, dodging the large rocks, and continues to fly to the side.

"That it, Corviknight, deep on dodging… wait a second," Victor watches as Corviknight continues to dodge the large rocks, as it flies to the side. "Are they luring it to the Max Barrier…? Corviknight!"

"Now!" Bede calls out.

"Goth!" Gothorita spreads out its arms, as large rocks fly past it.

A large rock slams into the Max Barrier right in front of Corviknight, forcing it to stop, "Knigh!" Then more large rocks slam into Corviknight, blasting it against the Max Barrier.

"Gothorita, Psybeam!"

"Goth!" Gothorita fires a beam from its hands.

The beam blasts Corviknight, still up against the Max Barrier, "Knigh!"

"Again!" Bede calls out.

Victor looks from Bede and then looks back up, "Corviknight, Drill Peck!"

"Goth!" Gothorita fires a beam from its hands. "Goth!"

"Knigh!" Corviknight flaps its wings and starts to fly forward, while spinning around. "Knigh!"

Corviknight drills through the beam.

"Goth!" Gothorita stops firing the beam and floats to the side, barely dodging the drilling Corviknight as it passes it.

"Before Gothorita could recover, use Steel Wing!" Victor calls out.

"Knigh!" Corviknight stops spinning, and turns around, with one wing glowing silver, which slams against Gothorita.

"Goth!"

"Great! Now use Drill Peck, again!" Victor adds.

"Knigh!" Corviknight flaps its wings and starts to spin downward.

"Block with Rock Tomb!" Bede instructs.

"Goth!" Gothorita brings its arms together, as a couple large rocks float up to in front of it.

The spinning Corviknight slams into the large rocks, before blows them apart and then slams into Gothorita, sending it flying into the ground.

"Knigh!" Corviknight stops spinning and flaps its wings to keep itself in the air.

As the dust settles, Gothorita is lying on the ground, with its eyes whirling.

"Goth…" Gothorita turns into red energy and flies back into Bede's Poké Ball.

Bede lowers the Poké Ball, "One lucky win doesn't mean I'm gonna lose to you."

"Mmhm," Opal leans forward in her chair.

"Go, Gardevoir!" Bede throws a Poké Ball.

The Poké Ball opens, shoots out red energy and forms Gardevoir, "Devoir!"

Victor's Rotom Phone flies up, "Gardevoir, the Embrace Pokémon, It has the power to predict the future. Its power peaks when it is protecting its Trainer."

"Are you gonna do that for every Pokémon?!" Bede annoyingly asks, as Victor lowers his Rotom Phone.

"Now, when you're ready, continue the battle!" Dan announces.

"Gardevoir, use Calm Mind!" Bede holds out a hand.

"Devoir," Gardevoir brings its hands together, as it closes its eyes, with its body giving off a small glow.

"I'm pretty sure Calm Mind raises its user's Special Attack and Special Defense, so we better hurry," Victor realizes. "Corviknight, use Drill Peck!"

"Knigh!" Corviknight flaps its wings and starts to spin forward.

"You're just repeating yourself," Bede holds up a hand. "Gardevoir, Psychic!"

"Devoir!" Gardevoir opens its eyes and holds out a hand, with its eyes glowing.

Corviknigh glows before it is slammed on the ground, stops spinning.

"Now, Dazzling Gleam!" Bede adds.

"Devoir!" Gardevoir holds out its arms, as it emits a powerful flash of light from its body, knocking Corviknight back.

"Knigh!"

"Corviknight!" Victor calls out.

"So Bede raised his Pokémon's Special Attack and Special Defense, before following it up with two Special Attacks back to back, not bad at all, boy," Opal says. "What will your next move be?"

Raihan looks over to Opal.

"Corviknight, are you okay?" Victor asks, as Corviknight flaps its wings and lands in front of him.

"Knigh, Knigh," Corviknight looks over to its Trainer and nod its head.

"Great," Victor smiles, before holding out a hand. "I want you to try to get in close with Drill Peck!"

"Knigh!" Corviknight flaps its wings and takes off.

"Gardevoir, Wish!" Bede instructs.

"Devoir," Gardevoir holds its hands together and closes its eyes, as a constellation appears over it temporarily.

"Knigh!" Corviknight spins forward, drilling.

"Now, Power Trip!"

"Knigh!" Corviknight stops spinning and stretches out its claw, hitting Gardevoir.

"Devoir!"

"Follow it up with Steel Wing!" Victor instructs.

"Counter with Dazzling Gleam!" Bede calls out.

"Knigh!" Corviknight slams forward its glowing silver wing.

"Devoir!" Gardevoir holds back its arms, as its body emits a bright flash.

Both Pokémon are knocked back.

"Devoir!" Gardevoir lands, before it glows slightly, as the scratches on it fade away.

"Gardevoir healed!" Victor realizes. "It must've been Wish activating. But if Gardevoir heals too much, we might not be able to beat it…"

"Al-crem!" Gigantamaxed Alcremie yells, before three beams shoot down.

"Knigh!" Gigantamaxed Corviknight flaps its wings back, dodging the beams, which blows apart the spikes, causing a large explosion, which Corviknight flies around the edge of the Max Barrier to barely dodge it.

"Al-crem," Alcremie says, as it glows slightly.

"We might not be able to win like we did with Alcremie. We need to end this fast," Victor thinks, before holding out an arm. "Corviknight, gets in close with Drill Peck!"

"This again?" Bede crosses his arms. "Gardevoir, use Dazzling Gleam!"

"Knigh!" Corviknight spins forward, drilling.

"Devoir!" Gardevoir spreads out its arms, as it emits a bright flash from its body.

"Corviknight, power yourself through Dazzling Gleam, I know you can do it!" Victor calls out.

"Knigh!" Corviknight continues to drill forward, as Gardevoir emits a bright flash.

"And use Power Trip!" Victor calls out.

"Knigh!" Corviknight, upon reaching Gardevoir, spins out of its drilling state and slams it with one of its claws.

"Devoir!" Gardevoir is knocked back, landing hard on the ground, with its eyes whirling.

"Knigh…" Corviknight lands on the ground, breathing heavily.

"Good job, Corviknight," Victor says. "But it took a lot out of it."

Raihan crosses his arms, "I'm impressed by this Victor and his Corviknight's use of strength and their determination to beat Gardevoir."

"But remember," Opal holds up a finger, with Raihan looking over to her. "Coriknight is now low on energy. With three more opponents waiting, was it really worth it?"

Gloria watches the two, "Wow, it's kinda terrifying seeing two Gym Leaders commenting on a battle…"

Bede holds up a Poké Ball, "Return, Gardevoir."

"De… voir…" Gardevoir turns into red energy and flies into the Poké Ball.

Bede throws another Poké Ball, "Go, Reuniclus!"

The Poké Ball opens, shoots out red energy and forms Reuniclus, "Reuni!"

Gloria's Rotom Phone rises up, "Reuniclus, the Multiplying Pokémon, while it could use its psychic abilities in battle, this Pokémon prefers to swing its powerful arms around to beat opponents into submission."

Gloria grabs her Rotom Phone, before noticing Bede glares at her. Gloria lowers her Rotom Phone.

"Now, continue!" Dan calls out.

"Corviknight, Steel Wing!" Victor calls out.

"Reuniclus, Hammer Arm, now!" Bede calls out.

"Knigh!" Corviknight flies forward, with a wing glows silver, before swinging it.

"Reuni!" Reuniclus flies ahead, with one arm growing slightly before swinging it forward.

Corviknight's wing and Reuniclus' arm collide, before colliding again, and then again.

"Enough, Reuniclus, Future Sight!" Bede instructs.

"Reuni!" Reuniclus flies back, before shooting up energy from its body which swirls together and disappears.

"Future Sight, huh?" Raihan crosses his arms, with Gloria looking over to him.

"What is it?" Gloria asks.

"Future Sight is normally a high level move for such a Pokémon," Raihan says. "Bede must've trained his Reuniclus greatly to teach it Future Sight."

Gloria looks ahead, "Be careful, Victor…"

"Corviknight, get in close with Drill Peck!" Victor instructs.

"Knigh!" Corviknight spins ahead, drilling.

"Keep on repeating yourself?" Bede holds out a hand. "Reuniclus, block with Reflect!"

"Reuni!" Reuniclus holds out its arms, as a yellow-colored barrier appears, blocking the drilling Corviknight.

"Corviknight, use Steel Wing!" Victor calls out.

Bede crosses his arms, "Reuniclus, keep on using Reflect!"

"Knigh!" Corviknight slams a glowing silver wing, which is blocked by another yellow-colored barrier.

"Corviknight, get around with Drill Peck!" Victor instructs.

"Knigh!" Corviknight flies back, before starts spinning and flies around Reuniclus, before coming down from above.

"Reuni!" Reuniclus holds up its arms, with a yellow-colored barrier appearing, blocking Corviknight's attack.

At that moment, a swirling portal appears above.

"Wait, is that…?" Gloria wonders.

"Future Sight!" Victor realizes.

Energy shoots down from the whirling portal, slamming down on Corviknight, "Knigh!"

"Now, Reuniclus, Hammer Arm," Bede calls out.

"Reuni!" Reuniclus holds up its arm, which grows slightly, before bringing it down on Corviknight.

"Corviknight!" Victor calls out.

"A battle long in the coming. Victor and Bede's match heats up. While Victor managed to defeat two of Bede's Pokémon, Corviknight appeared outmatched against Reuniclus. Will Victor be able to find a way to defeat it? And even if he could, Bede has two more Pokémon. Can Victor and his Pokémon find a way to win out?"
