"Victor and Gloria had arrived in Hammerlocke, where Bede challenged Victor to a five on five Pokémon battle. Bede had defeated Silicobra, but Corviknight manages to avenge its friend by defeating Gothorita and Gardevoir, but now its fighting a losing battle against Reuniclus…"

Energy shoots down from a whirling portal, slamming down on Corviknight, "Knigh!"
"Now, Reuniclus, Hammer Arm," Bede calls out.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus holds up its arm, which grows slightly, before bringing it down on Corviknight.
"Corviknight!" Victor calls out.
Corviknight falls onto the ground, with its eyes whirling, "Knigh…"
"Corviknight is unable to battle," Dan announces. "Victor, choose your next Pokémon."
Victor holds out a Poké Ball, which shoots out a red beam, turning Corviknight into red energy and flies back into the Poké Ball, which Victor looks at, "You did your best, Corviknight."
"Bede already defeated Silicobra and Corviknight," Gloria realizes. "What Victor's gonna do?"
Victor throws a Poké Ball, "Go, Toxel!"
The Poké Ball opens, shoots out red energy, which forms Toxel, "Toxe!"
"Toxel, huh," Bede says.
"Toxel, let's start off with Acid!" Victor instructs.
"Toxe!" Toxel shoots globs of acid from its mouth.
"Reuniclus, block with Psyshock!" Bede calls out.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus spins around, before emitting glowing shockwaves from its body, with the globs of acid splash apart against the shockwaves.
"Now, use Hammer Arm!" Bede adds.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus flies in close, as its arm grows slightly.
"Toxel, counter with Flail!" Victor instructs.
"Toxe! Toxe!" Toxel flails its arms randomly, before its arms are pushed back by Reuniclus' large arm.
"Quick, use Nuzzle!" Victor calls out.
"Toxe!" Toxel rubs its cheeks, before electricity shoots off its body.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus flies back, while slightly getting blasted by the electricity.
"I gotta say, this Toxel's strength and prowess is pretty impressive for being so small," Raihan leans back in his seat.
"Perhaps, but I'm not sure if it will be enough," Opal says, with Raihan looking over to her.
Gloria notices Sirfetch'd seemed focused on the arena, "Sir, fetch…"
Gloria smiles, "Don't worry, Sirfetch'd, I'm certain Toxel will be okay."
"Reuni!" Reuniclus flies in with its enlarged arm.
"Toxel, use Acid!" Victor instructs.
"Toxe!" Toxel shoots a glob of acid from its mouth.
"Reuniclus, Psyshock," Bede instructs.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus holds back its arm, as it emits glowing shockwaves from its body.
"Toxe!" The glob of acid is blown apart, as Toxel is knocked back by the shockwaves.
Victor looks ahead with a small sweatdrop, before instructing, "Toxel, use Flail!"
"Toxe! Toxe!" Toxel jumps ahead, flailing its arms randomly.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus is knocked back by Toxel's flailing arms.
"Flail damaged Reuniclus?!" Victor realizes. "That right, Flail does more damage if the user is low on energy."
Bede grunts, "You won't luck out like that. Reuniclus, Future Sight!"
"Reuni!" Reuniclus flies back, before shooting up energy from its body which swirls together and disappears.
"Future Sight again?!" Victor calls out. "Toxel, quick, end this with Flail!"
"Guess again, Reuniclus, Hammer Arm," Bede instructs.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus swings down its large arm, slamming Toxel down.
"Toxe!"
"Toxel!" Victor calls out.
"Sir, fetch," Sirfetch'd says, as it and Gloria look ahead.
"Toxe…" Toxel is lying on the ground, with its eyes swirling.
"Too bad, Toxel was so closed," Raihan says.
"Unfortunately, Victor allowed his memory of Future Sight's attack on Corviknight cloud his judgement and he panicked," Opal says. "And now he only has two Pokémon left."
Victor throws a Poké Ball, "Go, Pikachu!"
The Poké Ball opens, shoots out red energy, which forms Pikachu as it jumps out, "Pika Pi!"
"Pikachu, Quick Attack!" Victor calls out.
"Pika Pika Pi!" Pikachu starts to run ahead at a breakneck pace.
Suddenly, a swirling portal appears overhead, with energy shooting down from it, blasting the ground around Pikachu, sending it flying.
"Pika!"
"Pikachu, we must keep going," Victor says. "Use Electro Ball!"
"Pika Pika Pika!" Pikachu lands, as a ball of electricity forms on its tail. "Pika Pika Pi Chu!"
Pikachu whips its tail, launching the ball of electricity.
"Block with Psyshock!" Bede instructs.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus spins around, before emitting glowing shockwaves from its body, with the ball of electricity blowing apart upon hitting the shockwaves.
"Now, another Psyshock!" Bede calls out.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus charges ahead, as its body emits glowing shockwaves.
"Pikachu, use Quick Attack to dodge!" Victor instructs.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu runs to the side quickly, as Reuniclus flies past it.
"I was reckless with Toxel, but I must focus. I need to find a way around Reuniclus' defenses," Victor realizes. "Pikachu, keep on using Quick Attack and avoid Reuniclus!"
"Pika Pi Chu!" Pikachu calls out, as it runs around Reuniclus, who just watches it.
Raihan crosses his arms, "Victor is looking for an opening."
"There's no way Bede will allow that," Opal adds.
Gloria watches them, "The Gym Leaders commentary is on point, again."
"Reuniclus, use Future Sight!" Bede calls out.
"Pikachu, get in close with Quick Attack!" Victor instructs.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu stops running before speeds ahead.
"Reuni!" Reuniclus shoots energy up at the sky, just before Pikachu slams into it.
"Now, Hammer Arm!" Bede instructs.
"Did Bede allow Pikachu to hit Reuniclus so it will get close?!" Victor realizes. "Pikachu, quick, Thunder Shock!"
"Reuni!" Reuniclus raises an arm, which grows in size, before bringing it down.
"Pika Chu!" Pikachu calls out, as it shoots electricity from its body, filling the surrounding area with electricity.
"Wait…" Victor realizes. "That's not Thunder Shock…"
"Mhmm, it would seem Pikachu learned the move Discharge," Raihan realizes.
"Reuni…" Reuniclus falls down, with its eyes whirling.
"Pika… Pika…" Pikachu is breathing heavily, as it looks at Reuniclus.
"Well done on learning a new move and defeating its opponent at the same time," Raihan claps.
"Victor and his Pokémon aren't out of the woods yet," Opal says. "Bede still has two fresh Pokémon to use, and Reuniclus fainting will not stop Future Sight from activating."
"Return, Reuniclus," Bede holds out a Poké Ball, as a red beam flies to it. He then holds out another Poké Ball and throws it, "Go, Rapidash!"
The Poké Ball opens, shoots out red energy, which forms a Galarian Rapidash, "Rapi!"
Bede holds down his Poké Ball and looks at Victor, annoyingly, "Well, aren't your Rotom Phone gonna give any data on Rapidash?"
Victor rubs the back of his head, "I actually already seen a Rapidash."
Bede grins, "Not like my Rapidash."
"Pikachu, are you good to go?" Victor asks.
Pikachu looks over to its Trainer and nods its head, "Pika Pi!"
"Then, let the battle resume!" Dan announces.
"Rapidash, Psycho Cut!" Bede calls out.
"Rapi!" Rapidash holds up its head, with its horn glowing, before throwing its head forward, sending a spinning blade made out of psychic energy.
"Pikachu, dodge with Quick Attack!" Victor calls out.
"Pika Pi…!" Pikachu slowly starts to run at a breakneck pace, moving left to right, dodging a spinning blade.
"Pikachu is getting tired, I need to end this quickly," Victor realizes. "Pikachu, use Discharge!"
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu gets close to Rapidash, as its body is surrounded with electricity. "Chu!"
A blast of electricity surges from Pikachu's body, as Rapidash jumps high over the attack.
"Watch out!" Victor calls out.
"Pika!" Pikachu looks up slightly.
"Now, Rapidash, Stomp!" Bede instructs.
"Rapi!" Rapidash lands, slamming a hoof down on Pikachu.
"Pika!"
"Follow it up with Dazzling Gleam!" Bede adds.
"Rapi!" Rapidash raises its head, as its horn emits a bright flash of light.
"Pika!" Pikachu is knocked back.
"Pikachu!" Victor calls out, as he watches Pikachu slowly get up, with Rapidash running toward it. "There's got to be something we can do, if only… Wait, that might be it!"
"Pikachu, I have an idea, but it's a risky one," Victor says. "Up for it?"
Pikachu finishes getting up and looks over to its Trainer, nodding its head, "Pika Pi."
Victor smiles, "Then use Discharge!"
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu surges with electricity, before releasing a blast of electricity all around it. "Chu!"
"You're repeating yourself again!" Bede yells. "Rapidash, Stomp!"
"Rapi!" Rapidash jumps up over the blast of electricity.
"Pikachu, Quick Attack!" Victor instructs.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu speeds away, as Rapidash's hoof slams down, missing it.
"Rapidash, Fairy Wind!"
"Rapi," Rapidash turns its head, before swinging its hair, blowing a large gust of glowing wind.
"Fire Electro Ball straight down!" Victor slams a hand down.
"Pika Pika Pi Chu!" Pikachu whips around its tail, firing a ball of electricity down, which explodes and propels Pikachu high up, missing the gust of glowing wind.
"Okay, Pikachu, let use Thunder Shock next!" Victor instructs.
"Pika Chu!" Pikachu, still in midair, fires a blast of electricity down.
"Rapi!" Rapidash runs to the side, dodging the blast of electricity.
"Attack with Fairy Wind, again!" Bede calls out.
"Rapi!" Rapidash swings around its hair, blowing a large gust of glowing wind.
"Thunder Shock, at the Max Barrier this time!" Victor instructs.
"Pika Chu!" Pikachu fires a blast of electricity at the nearby Max Barrier, propelling itself sideways, dodging the gust of glowing wind.
"What is Victor doing?" Gloria wonders. "They are only dodging now…"
"I think I know," Raihan grins.
"It is becoming quite obvious," Opal adds.
Gloria looks at the two Gym Leaders, confused.
A swirling portal appears over the arena.
"Here's our chance!" Victor realizes. "Pikachu, jump onto Rapidash!"
"Pika!" Pikachu jumps onto Rapidash's back, holding onto its hair.
"Rapi?!"
"So that's what he's up to," Bede realizes. "Rapidash, throw Pikachu off!"
"Rapi! Rapi!" Rapidash bucks around wildly.
"Pika Pika..." Pikachu keeps on holding onto Rapidash's hair.
Energy shoots down from the whirling portal.
"Pikachu, jump!" Victor calls out.
"Pika!" Pikachu jumps off Rapidash's back, as the energy hits, blasting Rapidash with Pikachu sent flying. "Pika!"
Pikachu slams hard on the ground, before looking up to see Rapidash is lying down, with its eyes whirling, "Rapi…"
"Rapidash is unable to battle!" Dan announces.
"Pika… Pi…" Pikachu stands up, while shaking slightly.
"Alright, Victor! Pikachu!" Gloria calls out, as she and her Pokémon are cheering.
"It was a risky move, but it appeared to work pretty well," Raihan holds a hand to his chin.
"I just wonder how well it will work with Bede's last Pokémon," Opal says, with Raihan looking over to her.
"Now, go, Hatterene!" Bede throws a Poké Ball.
The Poké Ball opens, shoots out red energy, which turns into Hatterene, "Hatt-rene!"
Victor's Rotom Phone flies up, "Hatterene, the Silent Pokémon, It emits psychic power strong enough to cause headaches as a deterrent to the approach of others."
Victor lowers his Rotom Phone, "Hatterene must've evolved from the Hatenna we battled in the Galar Mine."
Bede sighs, "It's time we finish this battle."
"Agree," Victor says, before he holds out a hand. "Pikachu, use Quick Attack, and follow it up with Discharge!"
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu charges ahead, quickly, while its body surges with electricity.
"Hatterene, uses Calm Mind…" Bede starts.
"Hatt-rene," Hatterene lowers its head and closes its eyes, with its body giving off a small glow.
"Now, Mystical Fire!" Bede adds.
Hatterene's eyes shoot open, before it breathes a large blast of fire, "Hatt-rene!"
"Pika!" Pikachu is knocked back by the blast of fire, as it releases a large blast of electricity.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene is blasted by the electricity, but remains steady. "Hatt-rene."
Pikachu is knocked onto the ground and starts to get up, "Pika…"
"Interesting," Opal starts, as she leans forward slightly. "Hatterene used Calm Mind to raise its Special Attack and Special Defense, before using Mystical Fire, which not only damaged Pikachu, but also lowered its Special Attack, reducing the damage from Discharge."
"Pikachu, use Quick Attack to get around Hatterene!" Victor instructs. "Look for an opening!"
"Pika Pika!" Pikachu starts to run ahead, at a breakneck pace.
"Repeating your strategies will only ensure your defeat," Bede says. "Hatterene, stop Pikachu with Psychic!"
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene turns slightly, as its eyes glow.
Pikachu stops running and is floating slightly off the ground, with a glow around it, "Pika? Pika Pika!"
"Now, Dazzling Gleam," Bede swings an arm to the side.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene swings its tentacle back, as its body emits a bright flash of light, knocking Pikachu away.
"Pika!" Pikachu slams hard on the ground, before its eyes swirl, "Pika…"
"Now Pikachu too…" Gloria says.
"Or-beet," Orbeetle floats next to its Trainer.
"It's now down to one Pokémon each, but because of the little damage it received, Hatterene is basically starting from scratch," Opal says.
Pikachu turns into red energy and flies into a Poké Ball, which Victor is holding, "You tried your best, Pikachu."
Victor looks ahead at Hatterene, "None of Hatterene's moves are the same when I fought it as Hatenna. So I have to figure out how to beat it on the fly."
Victor throws a Poké Ball, "Go, Raboot!"
The Poké Ball opens, shoots out red energy, which forms Raboot, "Ra-boot."
"Wait a minute, this is pretty much a rematch from their first battle," Gloria realizes.
"Let the battle resume!" Dan announces.
"Raboot, speed up with Flame Charge!" Victor instructs.
"Ra-boot!" Raboot runs ahead, as its body becomes surrounded in flames.
"Boosting your Pokémon's speed didn't work last time, it won't work this time either," Bede says. "Hatterene, use Psychic!"
"Hatt-rene," Hatterene's eyes glow slightly.
Raboot, surrounded by flames, gives off a small glow, before it is slammed onto the ground, with the flames dissipating, "Ra-boot!"
"Raboot, get in close and use Double Kick!"
"Ra-boot!" Raboot jumps ahead, kicks at Hatterene, who dodges it, before Raboot spins and kicks again, as Hatterene dodges. "Ra-boot!"
"Hatterene, use Mystical Fire!" Bede instructs.
"Mystical Fire is a Fire-type move, so it won't have much effect against Raboot, but it will still lower its Special Attack," Victor realizes. "Raboot, dodge and use Flame Charge!"
Raboot jumps back, and runs ahead, surrounded by flames, "Ra-boot!"
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene dodges to the side, dodging Raboot.
Raboot continues to run ahead, before slamming against the Max Barrier, with the flames dissipating, "Ra-boot…"
"That was unexpecting…" Raihan says.
"Raboot has trouble controlling its speed with Flame Charge," Gloria says, as Gloria's Pokémon and Opal nod their heads.
Bede scowls, "I actually thought for a moment you and your Raboot had grown, but you both are still the same weaklings you were when it was a Scorbunny. Hatterene, Dazzling Gleam!"
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene throws back its tentacle, as its body emits a bright flash of light.
"Raboot, dodge with Flame Charge!" Victor calls out.
"Ra-boot!" Raboot runs to the side, while its body is surrounded with flames.
"Insisting on using a move you hadn't mastered…" Bede closes his eyes, before looking ahead. "I won't bother to counter such a weak display. Hatterene, dodge."
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene jumps to the side as Raboot runs past it, surrounded by flames.
"Bede's wrong. We both had gotten much stronger together. We are nothing like when we first fought him," Victor thinks to himself. "Whichever we lose or win this battle, we will show how strong we truly are."
"Ra-boot!" Raboot runs ahead, surrounded by flames.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene jumps out of the way, as Raboot continues to run ahead toward the Max Barrier.
"Raboot!" Victor calls out.
"Ra-boot!" Raboot continues to run, surrounded by flames, fast approaching the Max Barrier, before Raboot, at the last moment, turns away from the Max Barrier.
Everyone look on surprised, as Gloria says, "Raboot turned?!"
"Hatt-rene?!" Hatterene watches as Raboot, surrounded by flames, fast approaching it.
"Ra-boot!" Raboot, surrounded by flames, slams against Hatterene, knocking it back.
"Alright, Raboot!" Victor calls out.
"Interesting," Opal says. "Victor and Raboot's bond seems to have allow Raboot the chance to master its speed. They might not possess the pink I'm seeking, but they are still an impressive pair."
Hatterene gets up and looks over to its Trainer, with Bede smiling. Hatterene looks on, surprised, before smiling, "Hatt-rene."
"Very well, thing," Bede holds up a Poké Ball. "It's time we show you our true strength!"
Hatterene turns into red energy, flies into Bede's Poké Ball, with a large, glowing Poké Ball appears around it, before he turns and throws it, "Hatterene, Gigantamax!"
The large Poké Ball opens and shoots out massive red energy which continues to grow in size, as the tentacle continues to grow and split into three, "Hatt-rene!"
"A Gigantamaxed Hatterene…" Victor looks up, before smiling. "Then, we will also show our true strength!"
"Ra-boot," Raboot nods it head.
Victor holds out a Poké Ball, which shoots out a red beam, turning Raboot into red energy, which flies back into the Poké Ball. "Go, Raboot!" Victor then holds out his hands, with the large, glowing Poké Ball surrounding it, before Victor starts to turn around, "Dynamax!"
The large Poké Ball opens and shoots out massive red energy, as it starts to take shape and grows, until it forms a giant Raboot, "Ra-boot!"
"Hatterene, let's go, G-Max Smite," Bede holds out a hand.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene throws back its tentacles, with stars shooting past it.
"Raboot, watch out!" Victor calls out.
The stars slam into the ground around Raboot, exploding around it, "Ra-boot!"
"Raboot!" Victor yells.
Smoke clears, as Raboot wobbles with flying-types flying around its head, "Ra… boot…"
"It's confused!" Victor realizes.
"Now, Max Flare!" Bede instructs.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene fires a massive blast of fire from its mouth.
"Ra-boot!" Raboot is blasted by the blast of fire and slams against the Max Barrier.
"Raboot!" Victor calls out.
"Ra-boot…" Raboot shakes its head, before looking down at its Trainer, nodding its head. "Ra-boot."
"Raboot was able to fight through its confusion," Raihan realizes.
"Hatterene, Max Mindstorm!" Bede instructs.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene swings back its tentacles, as it gives off a swirling energy, knocking Raboot back.
"Ra-boot!"
The field then gives off a slight glow.
"That Max Move created a Psychic Terrain," Victor realizes, before looking up at his Pokémon. "Raboot, get close and use back to back Max Knuckle!"
"Ra-boot!" Raboot starts to run ahead. "Ra-boot! Ra-boot!"
Raboot starts to punch, sending large energy fists flying ahead.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene jumps to the side, dodging the energy fists as they slam against the Max Barrier.
"Use Max Mindstorm again!" Bede instructs.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene lands, swings back its tentacles and sends off swirling energy.
"Raboot, dodge and counter with Max Knuckle!" Victor instructs.
"Ra-boot!" Raboot jumps to the side, dodging the swirling energy, jumps off the Max Barrier and punches forward an energy fist.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene is hit by the energy fist.
"Before it recovers, G-Max Smite!" Bede instructs.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene swings its tentacles to the side, as stars fly past it.
"Ra-boot," Raboot lands, before it is blasted by the stars. "Ra-boot!"
"Raboot…" Victor watches, as the smoke clears.
"Ra-boot," Raboot shakes its head, before looking down at its Trainer with a smile. "Ra-boot."
"Alright," Victor smiles, before turning and holding out a hand. "Raboot, Max Flare!"
"You too, Hatterene, use Max Flare!" Bede calls out.
"Ra-boot!" Raboot shoots a large blast of fire from its mouth.
"Hatt-rene!" Hatteren shoots a large blast of fire from its mouth.
The two blasts of fire collide with each other.
"We are actually at a stalemate…" Victor realizes.
"Which means…" Bede thinks.
"It's time to end this!" Victor and Bede both think.
"Hatterene, G-Max Smite!"
"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene jumps back and swings its tentacles, as large stars fly past it.
"Raboot, go straight at it!" Victor calls out. "Counter with Max Knuckle!"
"Ra-boot!" Raboot jumps at Hatterene, before starts punching, sending large energy fists flying, which collides with the stars, exploding them.
"Hatt-rene?!"
"Now, Raboot, use Max Flare!" Victor calls out.
"Ra-boot!" Raboot, close to Hatterene, starts to shoot a large blast of fire from its mouth.
Raboot blasts Hatterene, with the flames also blowing back at Raboot, blasting both Pokémon.
"Raboot!" Victor calls out.
"Hatterene!" Bede calls out.
As the smoke clears, Raboot and Hatterene had both returned to normal, breathing heavily.
"Ra… boot…"
Hatt… rene…"
Suddenly, Hatterene falls down, with its eyes whirling.
"Hatterene is unable to battle!" Dan announces. "The winner is Victor!"
"We… won…" Victor realizes, before he jumps up. "We won!"
"Ra-boot!" Raboot jumps with Victor.
Bede walks over to Hatterene, as it pushes itself up, "Hatt-rene?"
Bede drops to his knees, looking down, "Is this where it ends…"
"Hatt-rene…"
"Alright, Victor! Raboot! Everyone!" Gloria calls out, as her Pokémon are also cheering.
"Now that is a Pokémon battle," Raihan sits back in his seat. "I'm definitely looking forward to when Victor takes on my Gym Mission."
"My decision is final," Opal whispers.
Raihan looks over to Opal, with a smile, "I should've known."
"Know? Know what?" Gloria asks, confused.
Opal is watching Bede and Hatterene in the arena.
Later on, Victor and Gloria are leaving the stadium.
"Before we leave, we need to go to the Pokémon Center," Victor says.
"All your Pokémon certainly earn a good rest," Gloria agrees.
They take a couple more steps before noticing Bede standing by himself, looking up at the sky.
Victor approaches Bede, offering him a handshake, "Thanks for the good battle, Bede."
"I don't know what to do anymore," Bede says.
Victor slowly lowers his hand, "You what?"
"Before, I had a purpose helping Chairman Rose and competing in the Gym Challenge to prove how strong I am," Bede starts. "But now, not only do I have no purpose…" He looks down. "I'm not even as strong as I thought I was."
"You are very strong, Bede," Victor says, with Bede slowly looking over to him and Gloria.
"Also, you don't need a purpose," Gloria tells him. "I'm just traveling around without any sort of a goal and I am having the time of my life."
Bede looks away, and says under his breath, "If only it was that simple for me…"
"Bede?" Victor watches him.
Opal exits the stadium, approaching the three Trainers, "Bede, perfect, I was looking for you."
"You were?" Bede asks, watching her.
Opal nods her head, "After watching you battle, I'm confident that you have the right pink."
"Pink?" Bede repeats. "I don't understand."
Opal smiles, "It's not important for you to understand. But know this, I want you to be my successor as a Gym Leader."
Victor, Gloria, and Bede look at Opal, with surprised expressions.
"A Gym Leader… me?" Bede looks down slightly. "I've never thought about becoming a Gym Leader."
"This could be the purpose you were looking for," Victor says, with Bede looking over to him. "And also gives you a chance to prove your strength."
Bede smiles, "Y'know, for once, you might have a point."
"You don't have to put it that way," Victor says, with a sweatdrop.
"Okay," Bede stands in front of Opal. "I accept your offer."
"Excellent, but it won't be easy," Opal says. "A lot of grueling training."
"I expect nonetheless," Bede tells her.
"Then we should head on to Ballonlea to begin your training," Opal says, before she starts to walk past the three Trainers.
Bede turns back to Victor, "Victor, once I complete my training as a Gym Leader, I will be looking for a rematch and I won't lose again."
Victor smiles, "I'm looking forward to it."
Victor and Gloria then watch as Opal and Bede walk away.
"An intense battle brought about a new level of understanding between Victor and Bede. While Bede's Gym Challenge ended prematurely, he found a new purpose in life, one that might be better suited for him. Now, our heroes continue onward, but what could be next?"
