"Our heroes' trek toward Circhester hadn't been an easy one, as they must deal with Hop and his new Boltund's past, a pack of Falinks, and Toxel's determination to be able to defend itself. Now, they face a new problem…"

"Chill Out"

"Wh-Wh-When it became so cold!" Gloria yells.

Victor and Gloria are standing in a route, covered in snow, with some hail falling.

Victor holds up his Rotom Phone, which is freezing cold and shaking, "Look like this area of Route 8 is called Steamdrift Way, and it appears to be always hailing."

"That would be nice to know in advance!" Gloria yells at the Rotom Phone.

"There's no point in complaining," Victor says, with a small frozen sweatdrop. "We should just press on." He then lowers his Rotom Phone. "Besides, Circhester doesn't appear to be too far away."

"Still, I would like to dress for the cold weather…" Gloria mumbles.

The two friends are walking through, when they start to hear a mumbling sound.

"Everything's gonna be fine, Gloria, no need to complain the entire time," Victor says.

"That wasn't me," Gloria says.

"Then what could it be?" Victor asks, as she and Gloria start to look around.

"Don't know, it's kinda hard to see too far away," Gloria says, as they continue to look around.

Eventually, they spy two tall snowmen and one short snowman at the side.

"Are those… snowmen?" Gloria asks, as the two tall snowmen are heard mumbling.

Suddenly, some of the snow of the two snowmen falls down, revealing them to be two men, one wearing a red cloak over his body and top of his head, and the other wearing a blue cloak over his body and top of his head.

"Too cold…" the blue cloaked man mumbles.

"Need warmth…" the red cloaked man mumbles.

Suddenly, Victor and Gloria scream.

Shortly later, Raboot is shoot a series of small fireballs at the ground in front of the two men, warming them up, as the snow on them are evaporating.

"Much better," the blue cloaked man says.

"Much, much better," the red cloaked man adds.

"What exactly happened to you too?" Gloria asks.

"Y'see, we spent all night traveling through this miserable area," the blue cloaked man answers.

"But we ended up falling asleep, and the next thing we knew, we woke up covered in snow," the red cloaked man adds.

Gloria crosses her arms, "How reckless you can be, walking all night, and then falling asleep in the cold."

"We don't need that attitude!" the blue cloaked man yells.

"Especially from a child!" the red cloaked man yells.

"Okay, okay, sorry," Gloria backs away, slightly.

"Ra-boot," Raboot looks from them to the third snowman, before noticing a snoring sound coming from the short snowman. "Ra-boot?"

"Ra-boot!" Raboot shoots a series of small fireballs from its mouth at the short snowman.

The snow breaks apart, as a Galarian Darumaka spreads out its arms and opens its eyes, "Daru! Maka!"

"Ah! It's a Darumaka!" Victor realizes.

Victor's Rotom Phone flies up, "Darumaka Galarian Form, the Zen Charm Pokémon, The colder they get, the more energetic they are. They freeze their breath to make snowballs, using them as ammo for playful snowball fights."

"Daru! Maka!" Darumaka happily announces.

Victor smiles, "Darumaka seems to wake up very happily."

"So what?" the blue cloaked man responds.

"How could it be so happy in this freezing cold?" the red cloaked man asks.

"It is an Ice-type," Gloria says.

"Daru!" Darumaka digs its hands into piles of snow.

"?" Victor, Gloria, Raboot, and the two men watch Darumaka.

"Maka!" Darumaka starts to throw snowballs.

Darumaka is chasing Victor, Gloria, Raboot, and the two men back and forth as it throws snowballs at them.

After a little bit chase, Raboot comes to a stop, "Ra-boot!"

"Hold on, Raboot," Victor says.

"Ra-boot?" Raboot falls down.

"I have a better idea," Victor scoops up some snow, forms it into a snowball and throws it.

The snowball hits Darumaka in the face, breaking apart upon contact, and after a couple seconds, Darumaka starts to laugh, "Daru! Maka! Daru! Maka!"

Darumaka returns to throwing snowballs.

"Ah, I see," Gloria packs a handful of snow into a snowball, before throwing it. "Here we go!"

Darumaka dodges a snowball, before throwing its own. Victor throws a snowball. Gloria throws a snowball.

The two men watch as snowballs go flying back and forth.

"They must be out of their mind, playing around in such an environment," the blue cloaked man says, as the other man nods his head.

"Ra-boot, Ra-boot," Raboot watches the flying snowballs.

"What to join in on the fun, Raboot?" Victor asks, as he forms a snowball in his hand, before turning and throws it. "Then, here, kick this!"

"Ra-boot!" Raboot starts to kick the snowball, but it ends up melting against its feet. Raboot then sigh, "Ra-boot…"

As the snowballs continue to fly, the two men try to avoid them, motioning around.

"Hey, watch it! That one almost got me!" the red cloaked man complains.

"This is utter ridiculousness," the blue cloaked man says.

Suddenly, the red cloaked man steps on a Snom's spikes, before he yells.

The red cloaked man turns to the Snom, "Hey, watch where you're going! That hurts!"

"Sno!" Snom turns and shoots a large blast of snow from its mouth, freezing the two men in ice.

Victor turns, "Oh boy. Raboot, use Ember!"

"Ra-boot!" Raboot jumps up and shoots a series of small fireballs from its mouth.

The small fireballs collide against the two frozen men, with the ice rapidly melting.

"Are you two okay?" Victor stands in front of the men, as Raboot lands next to him.

"Nnnnno Wwwwe're not…" the blue cloaked man says, before both men sneeze.

"Oh dear."

The entire group turns to see a woman standing in the slowly clearing hail, with a Frosmoth floating next to her, "Sounds like someone catching a cold."

The woman then smiles.

Shortly later, the woman hands an Aspear Berry to each of the two men.

"Here you go, these Aspear Berries are often used to cure frozen states," the woman offers.

The two men start to eat their berries.

"So sour…" the blue cloaked man complains.

"Very sour…" the red cloaked man complains.

The woman then turned to the others, "It's so nice to meet you all out here. My name is Melony, and this is my partner, Frosmoth."

"Fros," Frosmoth responds.

Gloria's Rotom Phone flies up, "Frosmoth, the Frost Moth Pokémon, Icy scales fall from its wings like snow as it flies over fields and mountains. The temperature of its wings is less than -290 degrees Fahrenheit."

The red cloaked man finishes his Aspear Berry, "If Frosmoth that cold then it shouldn't stay so close to us."

The blue cloaked man finishes his Aspear Berry, "At least with another adult here, then all the foolishness should end."

"I was watching your kids' snowball fight, and it looked so much fun," Melony says.

"Daru! Maka!" Darumaka cheers.

"So I was wondering if Frosmoth and I could join?" Melony asks.

The two cloaked men fall down.

"Daru! Maka!" Darumaka jumps up and down.

"Darumak seems to like the idea," Victor says.

"Y'know, we should let out all of our Pokémon so they can play too," Gloria suggests.

"Good idea," Victor says, as he holds out Poké Balls, before throwing them. "Come out, everyone!"

"Knigh!"

"Pika!"

"Sili!"

"Toxt Icit!"

Gloria throws her Poké Balls, "Let's all have a snowball fight!"

"Drizz!"

"Sir Fetch!"

"Or, Beet!"

"Impi!"

"Now their Pokémon are joining them," the blue cloaked man says.

"What is even the point of play in the snow?" the red cloaked man asks.

"Daru!" Darumaka jumps up, with a snowball in its hand, before throwing it. "Maka!"

"Alright, watch out, Pikachu!" Victor throws a snowball.

"Pika Pi!" Pikachu turns, using its tail to knock back the snowball, hitting Victor in the face. "Pika Pika Pi!" Pikachu continues to run and turn, hitting oncoming snowballs with its tail.

"Or, Beet!" a yellow-colored barrier appears in front of Orbeetle, who has a pile of snowballs on its head, blocking a couple snowballs. The barrier then vanishes, before Orbeetle shoves its head down, throwing the snowballs. "Or, Beet!"

"Drizz," Drizzile throws a snowball, before throwing another, when it notices Impidimp to its side. "Drizz?"

"Impi…" Impidimp says, with big, sad eyes.

"Drizz?" Drizzile says, confused.

"Impi!" Impidimp suddenly shoves a large snowball against Drizzile.

Gloria raises a snowball, before Corviknight flies past her, grabbing the snowball from her hand. She looks up to see Corviknight flying high, holding the snowball in its talon.

"Knigh!" Corviknight throws the snowball.

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd stands in front of Gloria, using its leaf shield to block the snowball. "Sir, Fetch!"

Sirfetch'd swipes its leek, launching a blast of snow toward Corviknight, which flies above it.

"Toxt Icit," Toxtricity is lying on a tree branch, strumming its chest.

"Sili?" Silicobra looks up at Toxtricity.

"Toxt Icit," Toxtricity waves with one hand, while strumming its chest with its other hand.

"Ra-boot! Ra-boot!" Raboot kicks a snowball, which melts upon contact, then kicks another snowball, which also melts, before it lands on its feet and looks down, disappointed. "Ra-boot…"

"Alright, my dear Frosmoth, use Tailwind!" Melony holds out a hand.

"Fros!" Frosmoth calls out, as a large wind shoots past it.

The large wind carries several snowballs through the air, chasing Pikachu, Drizzile, Orbeetle, and Corviknight.

"Sili!" Silicobra closes its eyes, swings its tail, hitting a couple snowballs, before swinging it again, hitting more snowballs.

Gloria gets hit in the face with a snowball, before starting to laugh.

"Sno!"

Suddenly, everyone stops what they're doing.

"What was that?" Gloria asks.

"It doesn't sound good," Melony says.

The entire group, including the two cloaked men, though they appeared disinterested, run through the snow until they reach a bridge across a crevice, with a strong hail going through the air.

"Look!" Victor calls out, with them noticing a Snom hanging on the cliff on the other side of the bridge.

"The poor dear must've fallen off the bridge during this hail storm," Melony guesses.

"Corviknight, get Snom," Victor instructs.

"Knigh!" Corviknight calls out, as it starts to fly across the crevice, but it is hit repeatedly by the hail, as it's knocked around by the wind and pushed back.

"No good, the wind and hail is too much for Corviknight to get through," Victor realizes.

"Frosmoth, my dear, use Tailwind!" Melony holds out an arm.

"Fros!" Frosmoth calls out, as a large wind shoots past it.

Frosmoth then starts to fly ahead across the crevice, before the wind knocks it back, "Fros!"

"Poor Frosmoth, even with its Speed boosted and its Ice typing, it can't get through that storm," Melony looks over to her Pokémon.

"Then how are we supposed to help Snom?" Gloria asks, as the two cloaked men watching, uninterested. "The hail and wind are too much in the way."

"There got to be a way," Victor says, softly.

Raboot kicks a snowball, which melts upon contact.

"That's it!" Victor suddenly shouts. "Raboot, jumps onto Corviknight's back."

"Ra-Boot!" Raboot jumps onto Corviknight's back.

"Knigh!"

"Now, Corviknight, use Drill Peck! Raboot, Ember!" Victor instructs.

"Ra-Boot!" Raboot starts to shoot a series of small fireballs from its mouth, as Corviknight starts to spin around.

"Knigh!"

Corviknight spins forward, as small fireballs circling around it, blowing past the wind and hail across the crevice.

"I see, they are combining their attacks to clear the way. How clever," Melony realizes, before holding out a hand. "Okay, Frosmoth, here's your chance!"

"Fros!" Frosmoth flies ahead and across the crevice, before grabbing Snom and flies it back to Melony, who takes Snom. "Fros."

"Good job, my dear," Melony says to her Pokémon.

"Okay, Corviknight, Raboot, you can stop," Victor says.

"Knigh!" Corviknight stops spinning, as the fireballs dissipate.

"Ra-boot…" Raboot is having trouble standing, with its eyes whirling. "Ra-boot…"

"You guys were awesome!" Victor calls out to his Pokémon.

"Yeah, you really saved the day," Gloria adds.

"Sno!" Snom calls out from Melony's arms.

"Ra-boot," Raboot rubs the back of its head.

"Knigh," Corviknight happily says.

The other Pokémon are cheering them on, as the two cloaked men watch, uninterested.

Later on, Victor, Gloria, Melony, and their Pokémon are watching as Darumaka and Snom are walking away.

"Take care, you two dears," Melony says, as she waves. "And make sure to be very careful."

"And thanks for the fun game," Gloria waves her hand.

Victor smiles at Gloria.

"Victor, dear, I want to congratulate you on your quick thinking," Melony says.

"Oh, i-it was nothing," Victor blushes, as Gloria smiles.

"Ra-boot," Raboot looks up at Corviknight.

"Knigh," Corviknight smiles.

"But I wonder where those temperamental men went?" Melony looks left to right.

"They said something about having better things to do than watching children and their Pokémon playing in the snow," Gloria responds.

"Oh, I see," Melony says, before smiling. "Anyway, I wish them well, and hope they can learn to lighten up."

"Well, I definitely learned to lighten up," Gloria smiles. "And that snowball fight was really fun."

"Or, beet," Orbeetle floats up to its Trainer.

"Sir, Fetch," Sirfetch'd bows its head.

Gloria smiles at her Pokémon, "Although, we should probably continue onward to Circhester."

"You're going to Circhester?" Melony suddenly says, surprising Victor and Gloria. "Isn't this a coincidence? I'm also going to Circhester, and I will be happy to escort you there."

"That would be nice," Victor says.

"Yeah, more the merrier," Gloria says.

"Then let's all go," Melony says.

Melony starts to lead Victor, Gloria, and all their Pokémon ahead.

"Our heroes, reminded it paid to relax and have fun, continue onward to Circhester with their new friend, Melony and her Frosmoth. But what could be next for our heroes?"

"Finally, we're done with all of that childishness," the blue cloaked man says, as his hood falls off, revealing a long, sword-like hair. "Shielbert."

"Too true, now we can focus on what's matter," the red cloaked man says, as his hood falls off, revealing a wide, shield-like hair. "Sordwart."

"Restoring our family legacy," Sordwart and Shielbert say together.

"Find out, as the journey continues…"
