"After winning his sixth Gym Badge, Victor and Gloria continue onward on their Pokémon journey, only to find a deadend. How will they move on through this new obstacle?"

"Bay Crossing"

Victor and Gloria are walking from the separate ends of the shore, meeting back up together.

"No luck, there's no way to go around the bay," Victor says.

"Afraid of that," Gloria crosses her arms. "Perhaps we could try and swim across."

"I'm not a strong swimmer," Victor waves his hands, before turning to the bay. "Besides, we can't see the other end from here, or any land masses in sight. We won't be able to swim that far anyway."

"Good point," Gloria holds a hand to her chin, before lowering it. "Could Corviknight carry us?"

"Without a cab to use, Corviknight couldn't carry us both, especially for that far," Victor says.

"And Orbeetle couldn't carry us either, and Drizzile couldn't swim us across," Gloria says, before sighing. "I guess we have no choice, but to go back to Circhester and take a Corviknight Taxi."

"Guess so," Victor shrugs his shoulders.

They suddenly hear a loud clank sound.

"What's that?" Gloria asks, before she and Victor look to the side, noticing a large boulder and a hill blocking their views.

Victor and Gloria rush around the boulder and see Paul and Jean, with Linoone and Nickit, as they face a scientist sitting on the ground in front of a collapsed Rotom Bike.

"So are you going away or not!" Paul yells.

"I-I am trying to leave," the scientist says.

"Not in the right direction!" Jean yells.

"Hey, leave him alone," Victor says.

Paul and Jean turn to see them.

"Well, isn't it the wannabe and the never-be!" Jean yells.

"I definitely hadn't missed the yelling," Gloria says, with her hands on her ears, before removing them and looking ahead. "Just leave that man alone."

"Not gonna happen, never-be!" Paul yells.

"But we tell you what's gonna happen to you and that wannabe!" Jean yells.

"You're gonna lose!" Jean and Paul yell, as Linoone and Nickit charge.

"Definitely didn't miss the yelling," Gloria says, as she and Victor hold up Poké Balls.

"Go, Toxtricity!" Victor throws a Poké Ball.

"Go, Sirfetch'd!" Gloria throws a Poké Ball.

Both Toxtricity and Sirfetch'd appear from red energy.

"Toxt Icit," Toxtricity slowly strums its chest.

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd swipes with its leek and holds it up.

"Linoone, knock them out with Headbutt!" Paul yells.

"Nickit, get them with Assurance!" Jean yells.

"Toxtricity!" Victor calls out.

"Sirfetch'd!" Gloria calls out.

"Dodge!" Victor and Gloria add.

"Linoo-noo!" Linoone charges ahead.

"Toxt Icit, Toxt Icit!" Toxtricity jumps left to right, dodging Linoone's charges, while slowly strums its chest.

"Kit!" Nickit charges ahead.

"Sir! Fetch! Sir! Fetch!" Sirfetch'd jumps to the side, as Nickit charges past it, before dodging again.

"You can't dodge forever!" Jean yells.

"Sooner or later, you wannabe and never-be will be loser-bes!" Paul yells.

Gloria sighs, "What does that even mean?" She looks at Victor, "They might be annoying, but they're right."

"Yeah," Victor nods his head. "So let's end this quickly."

Gloria looks back ahead, "Sirfetch'd, Rock Smash!"

"Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd jumps back, before jumping ahead and slams its leek down, knocking Nickit back.

"Kit!"

"Toxtricity, Flail!" Victor calls out.

"Toxt Icit," Toxtricity swipes its arm at the charging Linoone, knocking it back.

"Linoo-noo!"

Nickit and Linoone slam against each other.

"Toxtricity, Spark!" Victor calls out.

"Toxt, Icit," Toxtricity jumps above Nickit and Linoone, strums its chest, before shooting a blast of electricity down at them, blasting both Pokémon.

"Kit…" Nickit falls down with its eyes whirling.

"Linoo-noo…" Linoone falls down with its eyes whirling.

Nickit and Linoone turn into red energy and fly into Jean and Paul's Poké Balls.

"We aren't done here!" Paul yells.

"Not by a long shot!" Jean yells.

Paul and Jean then turn and run away.

"Lucky us…" Gloria says.

"Sir, Fetch," Sirfetch'd approaches Toxtricity.

"Toxt Icit…" Toxtricity slowly strums its chest.

"Sir, Fetch?" Sirfetch'd tilts its head slightly.

The scientist stands up, dusting himself off, as Victor and Gloria approaches, "Thanks a lot for the help."

"We're glad to help. I'm Victor."

"And I'm Gloria."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Horace, and I'm a traveling scientist…"

"You're just a scientist?" Gloria asks.

"What's that supposed to mean!" Horace gets close to Gloria. "Just so you know, if it wasn't for scientists like me, then the advancement of Poké Balls you so dependable on wouldn't have been possible!"

"I just mean, those two usually bother with Gym Challengers," Gloria holds up her hands, with a sweat drop. "I'm just wondering why they would be harassing you like that."

"Oh," Horace backs up and clears his throat. "I honestly don't know, although they don't seem to like the Water Mode I invented for the Rotom Bike."

Victor and Gloria look at each other, before looking ahead, "Water Mode?"

Within a few minutes, Horace sets up the Rotom Bike near the shore, before pressing the screen, then small traces of electricity circles the tires, with floatable devices spread out from either sides of the tires.

Victor, Gloria, and Sirfetch'd look at it, surprising, with Toxtricity strums its chest, before looking over to it.

"This Rotom Bike's an extra I was experimenting on to perfect the new Water Mode," Horace explains. "And to express my gratitude for your help, I'm giving to you."

"You're giving it to us?" Victor asks.

"Isn't this great," Gloria says to Victor, before facing Horace. "We were looking for a way to cross the bay."

Horace smiles.

"Hum…" Victor nervously starts. "How well does the Water Mode work?"

"Why don't you see for yourself," Horace holds a hand out to the Rotom Bike.

Within moments, Victor sits onto the Rotom Bike, as it rests on the shallow end of the bay, but he is having trouble managing his balance, before finally falling off.

Nearby, Jean and Paul are watching them on the other side of a large boulder.

"At this rate they are gonna get across the bay!" Jean softly says.

"No they're not!" Paul softly says, before looking to his Linoone next to him, and softly instructs. "Linoone, Pin Missile!"

"Linoo-noo!" Linoone jumps up and shoots a barrage of missiles from its back.

"Sir!" Sirfetch'd looks to the side, before jumping up and uses its leek to deflect the missiles back. "Fetch!"

The missiles fly back to behind the large boulder, causing a large explosion.

"What's that?!" Gloria turns as Victor returns to his feet.

Nickit runs out from behind the boulder and charges, as Jean is heard calling out, "Nickit, get rid of that wannabe's new toy!"

"Kit!" Nickit slams against the side of the Rotom Bike, pushing it away as it drifts away across the bay.

"It's Team Yell," Gloria realizes, as she throws a Poké Ball. "Drizzile, retrieve the Rotom Bike!"

The Poké Ball opens and shoots out red energy, which forms Drizzile, "Drizz!"

It lands into the bay and starts to swim toward the Rotom Bike.

Paul, Jean, and Linoone come out from behind the boulder, coughing.

"No you don't!" Paul yells between coughs. "Linoone, Headbutt!"

"Raboot, Double Kick!" Victor throws a Poké Ball.

The Poké Ball opens and shoots out red energy, which forms Raboot, "Ra-boot!"

Raboot flips and kicks Linoone's head, before spins and kicks it again, "Ra-boot!"

"Linoo-noo!"

"Nickit, Beat Up!" Jean instructs.

"Kit!" Nickit charges ahead.

"Linoo-noo!" Linoone flips back ahead and charges alongside Nickit.

"Ra-boot!" Raboot is knocked back and falls far into the bay. It pops out of the water surface and starts to panic. "Ra-boot! Ra-boot!"

"Raboot!" Victor dives into the bay and swims to Raboot, grabbing it in his arm and then tries to swim back, but is having trouble himself. "H-Hold on!"

"Ra-boot!"

"Oh dear," Horace holds up a hand.

"Victor!" Gloria calls out, as Toxtricity runs past her and dives into the bay.

"Linoo-noo!"

"Kit!"

Linoone and Nickit charge ahead.

"Not you again, Sirfetch'd, Fury Cutter!" Gloria turns and holds out an arm.

"Sir, Fetch! Sir, Fetch!" Sirfetch'd swings its leek back and forth.

Both Linoone and Nickit are hit repeatedly by the leek.

"Linoo-noo!"

"Kit!"

Toxtricity has an arm around Victor, who is holding onto Raboot, as it swims them both back to the shore.

"You all okay," Gloria happily says.

"Yeah, thanks to Toxtricity," Victor says, as he sits with Raboot in his arms, and looks over to Toxtricity.

"Ra-boot," Raboot looks at Toxtricity.

"Toxt Icity," Toxtricity looks to the side.

"Drizz," Drizzile pushes the Rotom Bike back onto the shore.

"Ah, Drizzile, you got the Rotom Bike back," Gloria says, before smiling. "Good job."

"Drizz," Drizzile jumps onto the Rotom Bike. "Drizz."

"Don't start celebrating just yet!" Paul yells.

"Linoo-noo!" Linoone jumps ahead of its Trainer.

"We're not done here!" Jean yells.

"Kit!" Nickit jumps ahead of its Trainer.

"I'm tired of this," Gloria says, looking ahead.

"Right," Victor stands up, with Raboot in his arms.

"Drizzile, Water Gun!" Gloria holds out a hand.

"Toxtricity, Spark!" Victor holds out a hand.

"Drizz!" Drizzile shoots a stream of water from its mouth.

"Toxt Icity!" Toxtricity strums its chest, shooting a blast of electricity.

The blast of electricity combines with the stream of water, running down it, as the combined attack reaches the charging Linoone and Nickit, knocking them back to their Trainers.

A small explosion goes off, with Jean and Paul sitting on the ground, as Linoone and Nickit lying in front of them, with their eyes whirling.

Paul quickly grabs his Linoone, "We're not done with you, wannabe!"

Jean quickly grabs her Nickit, "We're not done with you either, neverbe!"

Paul and Jean turn around and run off.

Gloria sighs, "I still don't understand what they were up to…"

Later, Horace examines the Rotom Bike, "Mmhm, Mmhm, Mmhm…" Horace then stands up and turns to face Victor and Gloria. "Fortunately, the Rotom Bike wasn't damaged in that scruffle, and it should be able to get you both across the Circhester Bay."

"Thanks again for this," Gloria says.

"It's my pleasure, especially since how incredible of a team you and your Pokémon are," Horace says.

"We would never have gotten this far without them," Victor says, with Gloria smiling.

Within moments, Horace sees them off, as Victor pedals the Rotom Bike Water Mode, with Gloria riding behind him, as they start to ride onto the bay.

"With a solution to their problem presenting itself, our heroes once again set out to continue their journey through the Galar region. However…"

In the distance, Jean and Paul are watching as Victor and Gloria ride the Rotom Bike off the shore and onto the bay.

"This can't be happening!" Paul yells.

"We must stop them from reaching Spikemuth!" Jean yells.

"No matter what!" they both yell.

"Find out, as the journey continues…"
