"From Here to Eternamax"

"Max Overgrowth!" Milo calls out.

"Eld-goss!" Eldegoss calls out, shooting three giant seeds.

The giant seeds land around Tsareena, before exploding, "Saree!"

Tsareena glows and shrinks back to normal, "Saree…"

Milo sighs, while wrapping his forehead.

"G-Max Stonesurge!" Nessa calls out.

"Dred! Naw!" Drednaw shoots a large blast of water from its mouth.

The blast hits Gyarados, before it is knocked back and against the Max Barrier, "Gyara!'

Gyarados returns to normal, "Gyara…"

Nessa rubs her hands together.

"G-Max Centiferno!" Kabu calls out.

"Centi! Skorc!" Centiskorch coils together and fires a spinning blast of flames.

The spinning blast of flames surrounds Torkoal, "Koal!"

As the flames dissipated, Torkoal had returned to normal, "Koal…"

Kabu rubs his shoulder.

"G-Max Chi Strike!" Bea calls out.

"Mac! Cham!" Machamp punches with each of its fists, launching four energy fists.

Each of the energy fists hit Conkeldurr, "Conk-durr!"

Conkeldurr falls onto its back, as it shrinks back to normal, "Conk-durr…"

Bea turns to Allister and gives him a small wave, as he sweats.

"G-Max Smite!" Bede calls out.

"Hatt-rene!" Hatterene throws back its tentacles, with stars shooting past it.

The stars slam into the ground around Rapidash, exploding around it, "Rapi!"

Rapidash shrinks back to normal, "Rapi…"

Bede places a hand on his hip, "Barely a challenge."

"G-Max Volcalith!" Gordie calls out.

"Coa!" Coalossal calls out, as a giant stone slab rises up from the ground, before falling forward. "Lossal!"

The stone slab slams against Gigalith, which blows apart, "Giga!"

Gigalith shrinks back to normal, "Giga…"

Gordie sees Melony cheering him on, before sighs, then looks away and up, "Is this ever gonna end?"

At the tower summit, Zacian and Zamazenta, in front of Victor, Gloria, Cinderace, and Inteleon, are staring off against Eternatus.

"It's really the legendary Pokémon, Zacian and Zamazenta," Sonia says, standing next to Leon, Charizard, Hop, and Rillaboom.

"What that…" Hop says, before holding out a hand. "Hey, Victor, Gloria, your bags are glowing!"

Victor and Gloria look over their shoulders, to see small lights coming out of their bags. They drop their bags, rustling through them, then Victor pulls out the rusted sword and Gloria pulls out the rusted shield, both of which are glowing.

Victor and Gloria remember the statues of Zacian and Zamazenta, before nodding their heads.

"Zacian!" Victor throws the rusted sword.

"Zamazenta!" Gloria throws the rusted shield.

Zacian bites onto the rusted sword's handle, which glows and stretches out to become a large gold sword, its braids spread out into large ribbons, wing-like armor forms on its back. Then a gold helmet forms from energy on its head, "Zaci-an!"

The rusted shield glows, as Zamazenta sticks its head through it, then the shield grows, forming armor on its front, with the shield splitting on the side, forming armor on its forelegs, and its ponytail stretches to cover its back. Energy flies off its head, completing its armor, "Zenta!"

Zacian and Zamazenta stand side by side, as Cinderace and Inteleon stand next to them.

Leon grins, "It's a Max Raid Battle, for the fate of Galar."

"Eterna!"

Zacian and Zamazenta start charging, with Cinderace and Inteleon start running aside them.

Eternatus starts shooting a large blast of fire.

Cinderace becomes surrounded in flames, as it runs past the other Pokémon and into the blast of fire. Cinderace runs out of the blast, as the flames around it dissipates, before it turns and kicks Eternatus.

One of Eternatus becomes in a sickly glow and reaches for Cinderace, when Inteleon jumps at it and slams its claw.

Eternatus starts to shoot a beam of pulsing energy at Cinderace and Inteleon in midair.

Zamazenta jumps at them, with its shield armor glowing, before blocking the beam of pulsing energy, allowing Cinderace and Inteleon to fall away.

Zacian jumps at Eternatus, with its sword glowing bright, before using it to strike against each of Eternatus' claws.

Eternatus fires a blast of fire at the ground, forcing Zacian and Zamazenta back.

Eternatus looks down the battleground to see Victor and Gloria.

"Cinderace!" Victor holds out a hand.

"Inteleon!" Gloria holds out a hand.

"Pyro Ball!"

"Snipe Shot!"

"Cinder!" Cinderace bounces a pebble on its knee, before kicking it, surrounding it with fire. "Ace!"

"Intel!" Inteleon's eye sparks, before it shoots a blast of water from its finger.

The fireball and blast of water fly side by side, before twirling around and slams against Eternatus, causing a small explosion.

"Eterna!" Eternatus' core glows, before it fires a massive blast.

"Zenta!" Zamazenta jumps ahead, with the side portion of its shield armor slides forward, forming the entire shield, which glows and gets larger.

Zamazenta charges at the massive blast, pushing it back, until Zamazenta and the blast collides with Eternatus, causing a large explosion.

"Zaci-an!" Zacian jumps high up, with its sword glows and grows bigger, before it falls downward and strikes straight down Eternatus, causing a large explosion.

Zacian and Zamazenta jump back, landing near Cinderace and Inteleon, in front of Victor and Gloria, watching the smoke.

The smoke clears, revealing Eternatus had returned to normal, while breathing heavily, "Eterna…"

"We beat it?" Gloria asks.

"No, Eternatus still wants to battle," Victor realizes, as Eternatus stares them down.

"Zaci-an."

"Zenta."

"You two knew it, didn't you?" Gloria realizes.

"If Eternatus caused the new Darkest Day, then it must've caused the original one," Victor realizes, looking at his friend. "And Eternatus must've been sealed away all those years ago."

"It must've been sealed beneath where the Energy Plant was built," Sonia adds, with Victor and Gloria looking over to her. "And its presence there must've allowed for Dynamaxing throughout Galar."

"Then Eternatus was sleeping peacefully, until Rose disturbs its sleep," Victor says, before turning back to Eternatus, and takes a step forward. "Eternatus, we are sorry for what happened. But if you go back to sleep, none of us will bother you again."

Gloria smiles, "Right."

"Of course," Hop grins.

"Agreed," Sonia nods her head.

"You will have my word as Champion of the Galar League," Leon says.

Eternatus looks at Zacian and Zamazenta for a moment.

"Eterna!" Eternatus flies up high into the sky, before turning and flying back to the tower summit, seemingly flying through energy on the ground and then flying into the reactor.

The sky clears up, as the sun shines through the clouds.

"We did it," Gloria says, looking up.

"Yeah," Victor says, as he and Gloria look at each other, then look ahead. "Thanks, Zacian."

"And Zamazenta," Gloria adds.

"Zaci-an," Zacian nods its head.

"Zenta," Zamazenta nods its head.

Zacian and Zamazenta glow and then turn into red and blue beams, as they shoot up into the sky.

Leon smiles, before looking over to the side, noticing Rose, who is just staring up at the sky.

Outside Slumbering Weald, Sordward and Shielbert are watching the sky.

"I guess we still have a lot to learn about being kings," Sordward says.

"Too much to learn, just standing around in one place," Shielbert says.

"Then it's decided," Sordward says. "We will travel and learn as much as we can."

"Agreed," Shielbert adds. "And we need to always bring a map, so we won't get lost again."

"Agreed," Sordward adds. "And as well as bring thermal clothes."

"Agreed."

"This is Gillian, with Galar News Network. The second Darkest Day, which plagued the Galar region, with Chairman Rose and Oleana had been taken away for questioning in their parts in the incident. Also, according to my sources, the Darkest Day was ended in no small part by two brave Trainers, Victor and Gloria, as well as Professor Magnolia's assistant and granddaughter, Sonia."

Next to Gillian appeared pictures of Victor, sweating and nervous, Gloria, smiling, and Sonia, sneezing.

The news report is paused on Sonia's Rotom Phone, when it shrinks, revealing Professor Magnolia, "I definitely wasn't expecting to see you on the news channel."

Sonia, sitting in her hotel room, with her Rotom Phone floating in front of her, sighs, "Yeah, I just wish they used a different picture of me."

"Sonia," Professor Magnolia starts. "I am very proud of what you have done. And perhaps it's time you should stop being my assistant."

"What?!" Sonia says, surprised.

Victor, Gloria, and Hop are exiting the Pokémon Center, holding up their Rotom Phones.

"Zacian, the Warrior Pokémon, Known as a legendary hero, this Pokémon absorbs metal particles, transforming them into a weapon it uses to batte," Victor's Rotom Phone says.

"Zamazenta, the Warrior Pokémon, In times past, it worked together with a king of the people to save the Galar region. It absorbs metal that it then uses in battle," Gloria's Rotom Phone says.

"Eternatus, the Gigantic Pokémon, The core on its chest absorbs energy from the lands of the Galar region. This energy is what allows Eternatus to stay active," Hop's Rotom Phone says.

"I don't believe the updates to the Rotom Phone were done so quickly," Gloria says.

"Good, I caught you."

Gloria looks ahead to see Sonia approaching them, "Sonia."

"How are your Pokémon?" Sonia asks.

"They're fully healed," Victor says.

"I'm glad to hear that," Sonia says, before blushing. "And I have an announcement I would like to share. I will no longer be my grandmother's assistant."

"What?! You were fired, and after all the hard work you'd done recently," Hop yells.

"No, no," Sonia waves her hand slightly. "I'm now a professor myself."

"Really, that's amazing," Gloria says.

"We're very happy for you," Victor says.

Hop smiles, "Yeah, it's better than getting fired."

"So what are you gonna be studying?" Gloria asks.

"I think I will continue to study legends," Sonia says, before smiling. "There's still so much to learn."

"Legends…" Victor says, with Gloria looking at him.

"You're thinking of them, are you?" Gloria asks.

"Yeah," Victor says. "Zacian and Zamazenta probably went back to deep sleep."

In the Slumbering Weald, the rusted sword and rusted shield are in their places on top of the altar.

"Do you think they will stay there?" Gloria wonders.

"Until the next time Galar needs them," Victor adds.

"You guys shouldn't worry about that," Sonia says to her young friends. "After all, the Galar League Champion Cup tournament is coming up very soon."

"Oh yeah, after everything that had happened, I almost forgot about the Galar League," Gloria says, before turning to Victor and Hop. "So, are you guys ready?"

"Are you kidding, I was born ready," Hop says, puffs up his chest, with Gloria sweat drops.

"Of course," Gloria says. "What about you, Victor?"

"Actually, for the first time, I really feel like I'm ready," Victor says, then the group looks at the distance, with the bright sun in the sky. "Ready to face the Galar League."

"Our heroes had saved Galar alongside Zacian and Zamazenta. But now the Galar League is coming up. Victor might feel ready, but will he be able to take on the challenge of the Champion Cup?"
