It took several moments for either of the men to stir. Due to the sound of the explosion, Tom's followers who had been watching the street rushed in. Tom could feel bruises forming across his back. Nothing felt broken but he wouldn't be surprised if his ribs were badly bruised. Corbin tried to reach for him and help him up. A sharp look and a shake of his head had the man stepping back.

Benjamin Nott was a man of medium height and slight build that had mousy brown hair and brown eyes. He was stood over the shop owner who was still unconscious. Tom realized that he didn't even know the other's name. This no-name had tried to fight him and he didn't even know his name.

Corbin's blue eyes assessed Tom and the shop owner as he asked, "Tom what do you plan to do? We should end him now for what he did to you."

Tom stood and brushed the dust off himself before looking at the wizard. He had gone for his wand just as the other went for what he used to cancel spell casting. Neither had done any spells though. That he was sure of.

The room had already been nearly unbearably hot when he walked in. How the shopkeeper could stand it he didn't understand. Then his mind went back to the last second of their fight. That had been a blast of magic but not the same kind as Tom's wandless or his followers' accidental magic.

Tom glanced at Corbin who was frowning deeply at the shopkeeper. Quietly he asked, "What is it, Corbin?"

His follower was sensitive to magic, more so than almost anyone alive. Corbin bent down balancing perfectly as he picked up the man's wrist and turned it over. The man groaned but didn't quite wake yet. His follower pushed up the robe sleeves to get a look at his wrist.

As soon as it was revealed they all blinked in surprise. There on the left wrist was an orange-red and black band. In the band almost indiscernible were runes. While not familiar to Tom he filed them away for later.

Corbin said breathlessly, "The mark of a fire elemental. But how? They are supposed to be extinct."

Corbin and Nott exchanged a look before glancing at Tom. He didn't understand what his follower meant. Elementals were things of legend.

Suddenly bright green eyes opened and a fist slammed into Corbin's jaw. This sent Corbin falling back as the shop owner jumped to his feet. Eyes were wild and not really seeing them. His wand was in his hand and one hand was in his pocket. So the card was instinctive.

Tom tried to reason, "Hey we were just checking to make sure you were alive. Mr.?"

Glazed green eyes jumped to assess him but went back to Corbin.

"Release me," the man snarled, "You're not the only one who can feel when magic lays over you."

So Corbin had tried to restrain him magically. That wasn't usually given that he had physically attacked Corbin. Tom was tempted to leave it when his follower looked at him. Then he decided against it. He wanted the man on his side not against him. If Dumbledore got his hands on this man things would go sideways quickly, especially with that magic. If Corbin was right.

Slowly Tom nodded. With obvious reluctance, Corbin released his magic. Green eyes cleared as he recognized where he was.

The shop owner said his hand turning suddenly, "Get out of my shop. The next time you try to enter the wards will not allow you."

Both of Tom's followers looked like they were going to argue. But there was something dark in the owner's eyes. A promise that if they pushed him they would not like the consequences. What kind of consequences was what Tom wanted to ask.

Then again he wasn't sure if he could take the owner. Apart of him wanted to test himself but not like muggles. He would find a way to test himself against the shop owner and find out the truth. If he really was an elemental he would need more information.

For now, they needed to retreat so he said, "Let's go, Corbin, Benjamin. We will be back, Mr.?"

Again he tried to fish for a name. This time he succeeded.

"Evans," snarled the man, "Now get out before I throw you out."

His followers opened their mouths to argue. Tom held up a hand to stop them from saying anything. Then gave a pointed look to the door. With glares given to Evans, they did as they were told.

...

Harrison watched the three leave silently cursing his stupidity. A flick of his wrist deactivated Fool's World and another set his shop to closed. Few would notice and he needed time to collect himself.

How could he have been so stupid?! Of course, Riddle would have brought followers. How much did they know? What did they suspect?

Around him, the room's temperature showed his emotion. There was a near heat haze like one saw on roads. The wards were not taking his magical unrest well. They were trying to contain him and disperse the magic over a wider area. It was not working, however.

Harrison pushed up the sleeve of his robes and drew his wand. Pressing his wand into the wolf tattoo he felt the portkey activate. The world swirled around him until he was deposited into an office. His face was pressed into the soft wool carpet.

Nightingale's wards flicked over him checking for any ill intentions. Then came the acceptance when it didn't find any. The wards tried to soothe his frazzled magic. It wasn't helping as he knew it wouldn't.

Cool hands touched his shoulders causing him to flinch and raise his wand. Only to realize it was Duncan. Duncan was a tall stocky man with bronze tanned skin. He had dark brown hair and piercing hazel eyes. He wore a white long-sleeved dress shirt with a vest, black slacks, and dragonhide boots. There was a silver chain hanging out of his pocket just showing his pocket watch. Over this, he wore traditional black robes with a gold trim showing his rank as Headmaster.

Durant didn't say anything instead grabbed Harrison's wrists locking in his magic. The fire raged against the man and the heat around them became unbearable even for him.

What was going on with his magic? Why was it getting worse?
