Dean navigated the convenience store's pharmacy aisle, dropping bandages, gauze and painkillers in his basket. He moved over to the single grocery aisle, both sides of the aisleway crammed with basic foodstuffs. His hand reached automatically for the Lucky Charms box, then froze.
Sammy's all grown up now, and Sam, safely ensconced at Stanford, hip-deep in books and hopefully, co-eds certainly didn't need his big brother to buy his favorite breakfast cereal now. Didn't need his big brother, either.
Dean grabbed the generic frosted flakes cereal box and a bag of peanut M & M's before heading for the cashier.
A/N A little angst to start the New Year;-) Apologies to Al Gore, the title is a bit more weighty than the subject matter.
