Author's note.
Here's the second part of the duel between Yuya and Rosie. Let's see how Yuya deals with the 'hidden dragon' in Rosie's deck. But, leave a review, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
Chapter 9
Duelist of Roses Part 2
"Now, Odd-Eyes!", shouted Yuya. "Attack Black Rose Token number 1! Spiral Flame Strike!".
"Not so fast", said Rosie. "I activate my trap, half unbreak. Thanks to this card, for the rest of this turn, my monsters can not be destroyed and any battle damage I take is halved".
"Well, I activate my Kaleidoscorp's special ability", said Yuya. "Now, a Pendulum monster I control can attack every special summoned monster once each".
In the living world.
"Wait, Rosie has four special summoned monsters on her field", said Fredrick. "So, what does that mean?".
"He can attack four times", answered Tate. "And he'll also have his regular attacks as well".
In hell.
"Oh, I do not think so", said Rosie. "I activate the spell card, poison seeds. Since you're attacking me with a monster that has more than 1500 attack points, I can tribute any number of level 2 or below plant monsters on my field to decrease the attack of the strongest monster on your field by the combine total of the attack points of the monsters I tribute. Oh, and did I forget to mention that this lasts until your next turn? So, I tribute my three Black Rose Tokens, which have 800 attack points each, to decrease the attack points of your Odd-Eyes by 2400". Purple vines then wrapped around Odd-Eyes.
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon

"Oh no, my Odd-Eyes", said Yuya. "I'll place this card facedown and end my turn".
"Then it's my turn", said Rosie. "I summon Botanical Girl, in attack mode". Her new monster was a girl with fair skin wrapped up in green and red leaves and had petals for hair.

"Next, I'll play the spell card, Botany Misreading", said Rosie. "Thanks to this, I can now target one plant monster I control and change it's level. So my Rose Princess is now a level 1".
Rose Princess

"Now, if I banish my Rose Lover from my Graveyard, I can summon any plant monster from my deck. So, welcome, the Tuner Monster, Rose Girl". Her new monster was an elf that wore a rose on her head, a rose themed skirt, green, curled toed boot, green arm-length gloves, Rose earrings and carried a rose.

"A tuner monster" said Yuya in shock.
In the living world.
"She played a Tuner monster" said Gong.
"Then that can mean only one thing" added Zuzu.
"Synchro summoning" the rest of them said.
In Hell.
"I now tune my level 3 Rose Girl with my level 3 Botanical Girl and level 1 Rose Princess", said Rosie as she performed the summon. "Deadly dragon of lethal thorns, scatter your petal scales and snare your enemies. I synchro summon! Dark Garden Black Rose Dragon!". Her new monster was a dragon that was primarily a purple-black with pink eyes that had yellow irises and pink claws on it's feet. Thorny vines came out of it's body. The rest of it's body was covered in petals. Around it's neck were (from closest to it's neck to the farthest) Blue, Maroon, White and Pink petals. It's wings were made out of (from closest to farthest) Blue, White, Pink and Maroon petals. It then unleashed a powerful roar, signifying it's presence.

"Holy shit!" Shouted Yuya.
"Now, for my monster's special ability", said Rosie. "All special summoned monsters on the field are now going to be fitted for their Chicago Coats. Since you don't understand 30's slang, it means they're going to the graveyard".
"But won't that destroy your own monsters as well?" Asked Yuya.
"Not if I activate anti-pest protection", said Rosie. "And like a natural pesticide, this protects my plants from nasties. Including card effects, at least for this turn". A large blizzard of petals then destroyed all of Yuya's monsters.
"And that's not all", said Rose. "For every monster that was destroyed, you lose 200 life points". The petals then struck Yuya.
Yuya: 2600 - 800 = 1800
"Now, I shall end my turn" said Rosie.
'I'm down to less than 2000 life points', thought Yuya. 'I gotta pull a victory out of my hat, and soon'.
"It's my turn, I DRAAAAAAAAAAW!" Shouted Yuya. He looked at the card he drew and smiled.
"Now, it's time to swing back into action, with Scale 1 Monkayboard and Scale 8 Skullcrobat Joker to set the pendulum scale", said Yuya. "Now, let's swing into ACTION!". Two lights then shot down.
"Polish off your pendent, Pendulum Sorcerer". His monster then appeared on the field.
"Turn up the heat, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. His monster then appeared on the field.
"Hm, what could you be up too?" Rosie asked.
"Well, how about I play Odd-Eyes Fusion" said Yuya.
In the world of the living.
This shocked Yuya's friends.
"Did he say 'fusion'?" Asked Allie.
"I think he did" said Tate.
In Hell.
"With this card, I fuse Pendulum Sorcerer with Pendulum Dragon", said Yuya performing the summon. "Spinning like a wild hurricane and slashing through enemies! May nothing stand in your way and slice your way to victory! I fusion summon! Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon!". His new monster was a dragon with blue skin and green and white armour with golden sword wings and golden sharp edges on the neck.
Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon

Type: Dragon
ATK: 2500
DEF: 3000
"Oh my, this is a new monster" said Rosie.
"Now for Vortex's special ability", said Yuya. "I can now return one monster that's face up on the field and return it to the owner's hand. So, say good bye to your Dark Garden Black Rose Dragon". Her monster then disappeared.
"My my, what a display" said Rosie.
"Here's another new trick I'd like to share", said Yuya. "I call it Performapal Helping Spirit! Thanks to this special spell, I can banish one 'Performapal' monster from my grave and one monster I control gains that monster's attack. So, I banish Whip Snake to add 1700 attack points to Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon".
Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon
ATK: 2500 + 1700 = 4200
"Oh, 4200", said Rosie with an impressed tone in her voice. "Quite a turn around for you".
"Now! Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon!", shouted Yuya. "Attack Fallen Angel of Roses! Vortex Flame Strike!". His monster then shot a stream of spinning green fire from it's mouth and destroyed Fallen Angel.
Rosie: 4000 - 1800 = 2200
"Next, I play the trap, battle encore", said Yuya. "Now, if my monster successfully destroys a monster on my opponent's field, I can attack again. Go! Vortex Flame Strike!". His monster then released another attack. The attack then struck Rosie and blew her off her feet.
Rosie: 2200 - 4200 = 0
Yuya: Winner
The field then returned to normal and the monsters disappeared.
"I must say Yuya", said Rosie as she got herself up. "That was quite the comeback you had. I only wish that I had thought through my strategy a bit more".
"Oh, you flatter me", said Yuya. "So, are interested in what Declan has planned?".
"This has really intrigued me", said Rosie. "So, consider me as part of his 'little plan'".
"That's good to hear", said Yuya. "But, I do have a request".
"Oh, and what's that?" Asked Rosie.
"Could you teach me how to synchro summon?" Asked Yuya. This, took Rosie aback a bit.
"You, you want me to teach you how to synchro summon?" Asked Rosie, unsure of what she heard.
"Yes please" answered Yuya.
"Well then", said Rosie as she turned on her duel disk. "Your first lesson stars now".
