Chapter 24

Battle at Eldorado Part 3

"Now! Eldlich!", shouted Mammon. "Attack Silver Claw with Golden Curse Blast!". After launching it's attack, Eldlich destroyed Silver Claw.

Yuya: 2250 - 700 = 1550

"I activate Lizardraw's ability", said Yuya. "So, I now draw Three cards".

"Now, I'll end my turn with this facedown" said Mammon.

"Then it's my move", said Yuya drawing the top card of his deck. "I'll play the spell, Performapal Ticket. Thanks to this spell, one monster I control can attack once for every 'Performapal' on my field. The only downside is that now none of my other monsters can attack. Odd-Eyes! Attack Guardian of the Golden Land! Spiral Flame Strike!". Odd-Eyes then launched it's attack.

"And since your monster is above level 5", said Yuya. "I can deal you double damage". Mammon then ran and climbed up the legs of the roulette table. The attack then struck Guardian.

"That's one monster down", said Yuya. "One to-huh?". When the dust cleared, Guardian was still there.

"I activated the action spell, Miracle", said Mammon. "It saved my monster and halved the damage I took".

Mammon: 5800 - 850 = 4950

"I end my turn with a facedown" said Yuya.

"I say, things aren't looking good for Yuya", said Wally. "Could he actually lose?".

In the human world.

"Come on, Yuya" prayed Zuzu.

In Hell.

"My move", said Mammon drawing the top card of his deck. "I play compulsory evacuation device. Now, I can return one monster on the field to the hand".

In the living world.

"There goes ANY of Yuya's monsters" said Allie in worry.

In Hell.

"Now, Eldlich", said Mammon. "Return to my hand!". His monster then did just that.

"Huh?" Asked Yuya in confusion.

"Now, I play Eldlixer of Black Awakening", said Mammon. "Now, I can special summon a Zombie monster from my hand or deck. But, if I don't have an 'Eldlich' monster, I can only summon 'Eldlich' monsters. So, welcome back my Golden Lord". A large pit opened up and what appeared to be liquid swirled around inside. Then, Eldlich crawled out.

"Now, Eldlich! Attack Lizardraw!", shouted Mammon. "Golden Curse Blast!". Eldlich then launched his attack.

"Not so fast", said Yuya. "I play the trap, Pendulum Protection! When you attack a pendulum monster, I can return two Pendulum monsters from my field back to my deck. So, I return Stargazer and Timegazer to my deck to negate the attack!" The orb then disappeared.

"I'm not finished Yet", said Mammon. "I play Eldlixer of White Destiny. Now, I get to summon a Zombie monster from hand or Graveyard. And I choose Mezuki". A horse-like demon with a horn on the top of it's head carrying an axe.

Mezuki

Type: Zombie

ATK: 1700

DEF: 800

"I end my turn with a facedown" said Mammon.

"Then it's my move", said Yuya drawing the top card of his deck. "Odd-Eyes! Attack Mezuki! Spiral Flame Strike!". Odd-Eyes then launched it's attack and destroyed Mezuki.

Mammon: 4950 - 800 = 4150

"Thanks, now I can play my trap, Eldlixer of Scarlet Sanguine", said Mammon. "Now, I can summon a Zombie monster from my deck or graveyard. So, welcome back Mezuki". Mezuki then reappeared on his field.

"I end my turn" said Yuya.

"Then it's my turn" said Mammon. He then drew the top card of his deck.

"I'll play the spell, Eldlich Alchemical Circle", said Mammon. "Now, I can banish three 'Eldlixer' cards from my grave to add any card from my deck to my hand". A large sacrificial pit then appeared in front of Mammon as an Alchemical circle appeared around it, liquid souls churning inside.

"I banish Black Awakening!".

The souls turned black.

"White Destiny!".

The souls turned white.

"And Scarlet Sanguine!".

The souls then turned red.

"Now, I'll activate my card", said Mammon. "I play Seven Cities of the Golden Land. With this card, I can fusion summon a zombie monster".

"Fusion?!" Asked Yuya.

"Yeah, and I'll fuse my Eldlich the Golden Lord with my Guardian of the Golden Land", said Mammon performing the summon. Eldlich and Guardian the turned into souls before going into the sacrificial pit. "With power comes greed, and with greed comes madness. Let that madness consume all and reek havoc! I fusion summon! Eldlich! The Mad Golden Lord!". A tower of souls shot out from the pit and a monster crawled out. His new monster was a much more beefier version of Eldlich and had white replaced by black.

Eldlich the Mad Golden Lord

Level: 10

Attribute: Light

Type: Zombie

ATK: 3800

DEF: 3500

"I say, I say, whoa boy", said Wally. "We got the TRUE Golden Lord on the field".

"Now for my Mad Golden Lord's special ability", said Mammon. "I tribute a Zombie monster to take control of one of your monsters. So, I tribute Mezuki, to take control of Lizardraw". Mezuki disappeared and Lizardraw appeared on Mammon's field.

"That's not good" said Yuya.

"Next, I play the spell, Treasure Toss", said Mammon. "Since I control and 'Eldlich' monster, I can tribute one monster on my field with 2000 or less attack points, and inflict half of that monster's attack points as damage to you".

Yuya then ran and climbed into the large Craps Table. Eldlich then grabbed Lizardraw, who turned into a ball of gold energy, before Eldlich threw it at Yuya. The impact then resulted in an explosion.

Yuya: 1250 - 600 = 650

"Now! Eldlich!", shouted Mammon. "Attack Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Cursed Alchemic Blast!". Eldlich then built up red energy in his hands and then fired a beam of it from his hands and destroyed Odd-Eyes.

"And with that, I say, with that", said Wally. "Yuya is-huh?!". When the smoke cleared, they saw that Yuya was still standing and that his life points didn't go down.

"What?!", shouted Mammon. "You, you shouldn't have any life points left".

"That's because I used an action card", answered Yuya. "It was the action spell, Luckity Split. It reduced any battle damage I take this turn to zero".

"Oh, and just like, I say, just like that", said Wally. "Yuya pulled his ass out of the fire. But, let's see if he can start his own".

"I end my turn", said Mammon. "You better make this turn count, Yuya. Because it might be your last".

"Oh, don't worry, I will" said Yuya. Several spotlights then shone on him.

"Ladies, Gentlemen and all in between", said Yuya. "It's time for the final act. Will I hit the jackpot? Or lose it all? Place your bets and grab your tickets. I! DRAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWW!". Yuya then drew the top card of his deck and then looked at it. When he did, he smiled.

"I'll use scale 4 Performapal Trump Witch and scale 8 Performapal Card Gardna to set the pendulum scale", said Yuya. "I'm taking control of this duel, starting now!". Yuya then set the scale. The new monster in the scale was a little blonde haired girl dressed in a blue, patchwork witch costume with a black mask and a skull wand.

"Thanks to them, I'm allowed to summon monsters who's levels range from 5 to seven all at the same time", said Yuya. "Swing far Pendulum, carve the arc of victory! My monsters are ready, TO SWING INTO ACTION!". Four beams of lights then came down.

"Prepare to drum up a beat Drummerilla". His monster then appeared on the field.

"Get set to lend a helping hand Partnaga". His monster then appeared on the field.

"Hope you're ready to his those targets Dag Daggerman". His monster then appeared on the field.

"Turn up the heat Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon". His monster then appeared on the field.

"You summoned four monsters for the price of nothing, now THAT'S what I call a lucky draw", said Mammon. "But after looking at your monster's points, I can see that your plan's an act".

"Oh yeah?", asked Yuya cockily. "Well, I play the spell, Odd-Eyes Fusion! Now, I can fusion summon an 'Odd-Eyes' fusion monster from my extra deck".

"What?" Asked Mammon in shock.

"I fuse Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, with Performapal Dag Daggerman", said Yuya performing the summon. "Spinning like a wild hurricane and slashing through enemies! May nothing stand in your way and slice your way to victory! I fusion summon! Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon!". His monster then appeared on the field.

"Ooooooooh", said Wally. "It's that monster he used to defeat Rosie. But I don't think he's done yet".

"He's right", said Yuya. "I'm not".

"It doesn't matter", said Mammon. "Your monster is still 1300 attack points weaker than my Eldlich".

"He won't be for long", said Yuya. "I activate Trump Witch's Pendulum ability. Now, I can fusion summon a monster without the need for a fusion card".

"WHAT?!" Shouted Mammon.

"I fuse Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon with Performapal Drummerilla and Performapal Partnaga", said Yuya performing the summon. "Now my fans, the moment is here. Stare in awe and get set to cheer. My next performer shall storm the stage and it shall be one for the age! I fusion summon! Storm-Eyes Vortex Dragon!". Yuya's new monster was a dragon with blue skin covered green and white armour that was highlighted in gold. It had hetrochromic eyes, one blue and one red. The eyes were in the shape of hurricane eyes and there were four horns on it's head, two pointing forward and two pointing back. It had large gold wings with green and white highlights and large blue orbs near the joints. The monster then unleashed a powerful roar.

Storm-Eyes Vortex Dragon

Level: 9

Attribute: Wind

Type: Dragon

ATK: 3500

DEF: 4000

The audience was in awe of Yuya's new monster.

"Whoa, now that, I say, I say, THAT is a game changer", said Wally. "Wonder what it does?".

"You did nothing", said Mammon. "The difference just went from 1300 to 300".

"Then my monster's special effect should do something" said Yuya smugly.

"Card effects can't target my Eldlich" said Mammon.

"Who said that the effect was for YOUR monster?", asked Yuya. "Now, for every Pendulum monster I return from my extra deck to my main deck, I can banish one card from your grave or hand. Let's see. There's Joker, Drummerilla, Dag Daggerman, Whim Witch, Silver Claw, Lizardraw, Partnaga and Odd-Eyes. That makes 8 cards". Eight cards then left Mammon's duel disk.

"Now, every monster on your field loses 200 attack points for each one", said Yuya. "So that's 1600".

Eldlich the Mad Golden Lord

ATK: 3800 - 1600 = 2200

"And my Storm-Eyes gains the same amount until the end of the turn" said Yuya.

Storm-Eyes Vortex Dragon

ATK: 3500 + 1600 = 5100

"Oh crap", said Mammon. "That's not good".

"Now! Storm-Eyes!", shouted Yuya. "Attack Eldlich the Mad Golden Lord with Twisting Hurricane Flame Strike!". Storm-Eyes then released a fiery, hurricane-like breath from it's mouth.

"And since my dragon is battling an extra deck monster", said Yuya. "I can deal double the damage".

"What?!" Shouted Mammon.

The attack the struck Eldlich and destroyed him. The force of the attack was so strong that it blew Mammon off his feet.

Mammon: 4150 - 5800 = 0

Yuya: Winner

The room then returned to normal as the monsters disappeared.

"And with, I say, with that", said Wally. "The winner of this duel is Yuya Sakaki". The crowd cheered as Yuya waved to them.

"Thank you, thank you", said Yuya waving at the crowd. "It was a pleasure to perform for you all".

"That was an excellent duel", said Mammon as he got up. "Not only that, but I just made a ton of money from people watching you duel".

"Well, uh, thanks" said Yuya.

"You're always welcome at my Casino", said Mammon. "And congratulations on hitting the jackpot earlier".

"So, the money's mine?" Asked Yuya.

"Every cent of it" answered Mammon.

Meanwhile.

at the Magne Household.

Lucifer was watching Yuya's duel.

"My, this is quite the development", he said. "TWO of the seven princes defeated already. He's growing nicely".
