After the question fell out of Sacagawea's mouth, instead of answering back to what she had asked, Aleem looked down on the living room floor. He followed the pattern on the rug with his eyes. It had swirls and flowers. He looked like he was waiting for it to give him an answer. Nothing, then, he looked back at his daughter,
"You don't want to know.", answered Aleem.
Sacagawea was very confused to what her father had just said to her,
"But Dad, I do. Aren't you supposed to give me a simple answer to that?",asked Sacagawea.
"I know that's the answer.", said Aleem.
"But, you still didn't say how you know Merida's Dad.", Sacagawea said.
"You don't need to know who he is." Aleem waved her away with his hand.
"But Dad I'm curious I want to..." ,began Sacagawea.
But before Sacagawea could finish her sentence that she was about to say to her father, her father quickly said,
"You don't need to know that!"
Sacagawea went silent.
"Dad, you're not making any sense.",pleaded Sacagawea.
"You don't NEED to know ! NOW..go to your room and stop asking these questions!",yelled Aleem.
He gestured with his finger, towards the stairs in their house which leds to the second floor of the house. Sacagawea responded with a huff at her father, turned and made her way to the stairs to go up to the second floor. She would show him by going to her room like her father "said".
