I'm back after an age. I don't know what's happened to this story, but here's the next chapt as promised. Any mistakes are mine and mine alone. (using older computer since my laptop motherboard fried.)

Might be a little confusing, will be switching a few times but it will make sense.

Chapter 13.

In between the realms of dream and conciousness Sonic was staring up at the giant being only known as Feist. The panda-God looked down on him with an amused smirk on his face. "What's tickled your fur, ugly?"

Feist huffed out a laugh, "The Lords of Time have banded together to save your hide, rodent. But it is too late for you. He is waiting."

"Who's waiting? I see nobody else here, panda-boy, just you and -ugh!" The blue hero pushed himself up off the floor onto his knees, wiping his face free from blood and looking up. His green eyes widened at what, no, who he saw. "What?"

The panda grinned nodding at the new arrival, "This is you, hedgehog. This is your final form…you cannot win against him. Accept defeat gracefully and end you torment."

"And if I don't?" He asked. The silver being floating beside the God smirked dangerously and snapped his fingers, a second later Sonic found himself surrounded by the new-comers clones poised and ready to attack. The blue hero sighed and raised his fists getting into a familiar pose. "Note to self: learn to keep trap shut."

Amelia had seen many strange things during her journeys along the Ghost Roads, AKA The Void, and this was high up there. The pink hedgehog glanced back and forth between the two men; both were doing that thing where they would lean close then jump back, only to do it again and again. By the fifth time she grew impatient. "Would you stop that!"

"Stop what?" They said in unison.

She grumbled under her breath, "We don't have time for this so I'll make it simple," she gestured to her Doctor, "young Doctor meet older Doctor." A nod to the other Doctor. "Older Doctor meet younger Doctor. We done?"

The two Doctors stared at each each-other and then slowly nodded. "Yeah," murmured 8, slowly moving to be by her side, "we're OK." A crooked smirk crossed his mouth fleetingly, "Forgive me if I don't shake hands."

The 10th Doctor nodded in understanding shoving his hands in his pockets, "Understandable. This place is a bit…off." He grinned this time, "Contact between us could cause all sorts of Timey- Wimey problems…"

"Timey-Wimey? Since when did I become such a child?"

A dark and haunted look passed over 10s face, "I can't say. But when it happens, and it will, it will be the only way you'll cope."

"OK. I get it. Some things are best left unsaid." The 8th Doctor glanced over to where a large stone table stood a few feet away. On it was the prone form of Sonic. His deep blue fur flickered with the regenerative energies he'd stolen from the other Doctor. It was a continuing cycle between his normal blue, to the golden hue of his super form to a different super form of silver. The two Chaos Emeralds were hovering over him in a vain attempt to stabilize him using their own powers to turn him into Super Sonic but failing. The 8th Doctor hummed walking to the head of the rocky bed, sitting carefully at Sonic's side with the book they had taken open at the Nazo Serpent section. "I wonder…" he murmured, taking out his screwdriver.

His older-self rolled his eyes as his younger self scanned the slumbering hedgehog from head to toe. "It won't work." He said, joining him and looking over his shoulder. "I've already tried to scan him; the sonic threw a paddy and refused. I don't know why. Maybe it's this place."

Amelia stood on the other side of the table, looking down at her beloved; it broke her heart to see him so helpless and vulnerable. "What were you trying to do?"

The 10th Doctor had his sonic tool out and was listening to the whine before answering. "Inside Sonic's body there are many powerful and unstable energies fighting for dominance. I thought that by scanning him I could calculate the exact harmonic frequency to stabilize him. Basically re-write his DNA. The sonic refused," he sighed, "but even with the sonic it would have taken years anyways." He carefully reached over 8th shoulder, picking up the book and slipping on his glasses.

"Centuries in fact." Added the 8th Doctor looking up from scanning Sonic's chest, "Which we don't have."

Amelia looked from one to the other, "We don't need centuries. You have the same screwdriver." 8 looked at her in puzzlement. Slowly a smirk appeared on her face, "Don't you see? Same soft-wear, different cover."

Both Doctors blinked at her, "What?"

"They're the same screwdriver."

8 slowly looked at his screwdriver as realisation began to sink in, "Ohh…" He breathed, "THAT's good! That's very good."

"Sorry, I don't understand."

8 turned to his older-self, "Don't you see what she's saying? At a soft-wear level they're basically the same, right?"

Carefully setting the book down, 10 reached for his own screwdriver with a hesitant, "yeah…"

The younger Doctor was on his feet pacing in front of the stone slab as he worked it out. "So… it would take many years, centuries even, for the screwdriver to calculate how to stabilize the hedgehog." Quickly turning back to Sonic, he did one last wave over his body with the screwdriver, "Scanning the hedgehog, and implanting the calculation as a permanent subroutine in the soft-wear architecture…" He muttered before facing 10 with a smirk, "and if that screwdriver is still mine, and you're really me, that calculation is still going on."

10 looked puzzled but then switched on his screwdriver again, listening to the whine very carefully. This time though, it sounded slightly different. Amelia looked on, secretly hoping her hunch was right, as the older Time-Lord's face flipped through so many different expressions in a short period of time, finally settling on astonishment. He looked at them…and then smiled widely, "Calculation complete!"

Amelia grinned at her Doctors. "Same soft-wear, different face." She joined them and looked at the slumbering form of Sonic, "So, what now?"

"Now…I think it's time to wake him up." 8 give her a serious look, "This might be dangerous, so we better do this at a safe distance. And, what-ever happens, do not interfere." Tugging her alongside him, and with the other Doctor not too far behind, they slowly backed away towards where the two TARDISes were standing. Once at a safe distance he gave a quick nod to the older Doctor, "Ready?"

10 aimed his screwdriver and nodded, "Ready."

"NOW!"

Sonic gasped as a paniful blow connected with his stomach forcing onto his knees yet again. The clones just kept coming! He couldn't stop them—a grunt of agony left his lips as a fist met cheek, red blood trickling onto the floor. "I won't give up, I won't give up..." he kept repeating. A boot met his chin causing him to flop backwards. His vision blurred as a lone clone stood over him, unlike the others, this one had blue boots with red toe-caps and along the backs of his hands were two shallow indentations. Sonic's eyes narrowed slightly, Weird. They look like gauntlets waiting for jewels or something as precious...OH! Green eyes widened now in understanding, He's...The original. He thought, dread filling his stomach.

Nazo growled reaching down and grabbing him by the neck, hauling him up high so just his toes were scraping the floor. Above them Feist leaned closer, a look of pure joy on his panda face, as Nazo started to squeeze. Sonic gasped sharply, hands clawing at the ones around his throat, black spots clouding his sight. Nazo grinned showing his fangs and squeezed that little bit more...

A high pitched whistle pierced the whiteness, the whole area lit up blinding everyone, making both Feist and Nazo yell out in pain. The panda-God roared shutting his eyes and covering his ears as Nazo released Sonic in surprise doing the same. Sonic slumped to his knees, coughing and spluttering. Out of the whiteness came a golden wave of energy. It encased the wounded hedgehog with warmth, Sonic readied himself for turning Super when the warmth increased to burning hot. It burned him from the inside, made his heart and his head hurt. He clutched at his head, falling onto his side on the ground, tears running down his face. His eyes snapped shut and he let loose with a shrill scream. When the light dimmed back to normalitly and the commotion had died down, Feist sniffed the air and blinked in disbelief. Looking down at the prone form infront of him he started chuckling.

"Fools! The complete fools! They've just sealed your fate, rodent." He grinned at the white hedgehog, " He's powerless. Now your chance. Finish him!"

Nazo gave a sadistic smile, reaching for him again, placing his hands on either-side of Sonic's head, bringing him close so they were noses apart. "You lose, hero."

The sonic whined loudly, blue tip glowing brightly as a highly concentrated beam of intense power hit Sonic. The hedgehog's body jerked on the table with a gasp of pain. The two gems lowered shining brightly, sensing an attack on one of their own, building a protective dome over the sleeping hedgehog. The Doctor grunted at force of the barrier, gritting his teeth as the sonic whined in distress. The winds picked up blowing dust and small stones everywhere. Amelia's eyes widened, she tried to get away to help but her Doctor dragged her back, his arms coming around her to hold her steady against his chest. In front of them the Emeralds' glow brightened to a blinding level, encasing Sonic in a golden bubble. The 10th Doctor stood his ground, both hands on the screwdriver, slowly inching his way forward, sweat rolling down his face with effort.

"It's not working!" He shouted over the din. "The stupid Emeralds are blocking the signal! We need more!"

"We haven't got any-" Started 8 but the rest of his sentence was cut off by two loud bangs. All three of them whipped their heads around to the source of the noise. "I'll be damned." He muttered.

Both TARDISes were open, from the depths of the time machines came a white-ish glow. The two Doctors looked at each-other in disbelief as the light inside intensified to match the blinding shine given off by the Emeralds. The little blue lamps on top of the police boxes flickered into life, the ancient engines thrummed in the bowels of the ships. 8 looked at 10, who looked back and nodded in understanding. From inside the TARDISes two beams of purest white light shot out gunning for the barrier. They hit it dead centre, the area of contact glimmering with golden sparkles. 10 aimed his screwdriver again waiting for the perfect moment, for a gap in the wall of magic, pressing down the button as soon as he caught a glimpse of Sonic's blue body.

From inside the golden bubble came a howling shriek. The two Chaos Emeralds suddenly disappeared with a flash, scattering amongst the stars. The whole area was bathed in heavenly white light, so bright that Amelia and the two Doctors had to shield their eyes from it. The two TARDISes hummed in approval, the lights from their hearts dying and retreating back safely into their wooden frames, the doors snickering shut behind them.

When the light had died down to reasonable level, the Doctors and Amelia cautiously edged forward. 10 looked absolutely exhausted, pale faced and sweaty. 8 was equally pale, his hand tightening around his own screwdriver. Amelia's hands was also twitching, ready to call her hammers if needed.

"Did it work?" She whispered.

"I don't know," came 10s reply, "re-writing DNA is not one of my specialities."

"Will you two shut up!" Hissed 8, " We're trying to sneak up on whatever it is we've created and you're gassing away like two old biddies." The trio got closer and the last of the dust settled, "Oh my…"

"What the hell? Wh-where is he?"

"Here."

They span round as one and were instantly knocked back against the rocks behind them by a powerful Chaos Blast. A collective sigh left their lips as they slumped down in a heap. From the dying dust cloud stepped out the familiar shape of Super Sonic. But it wasn't. On closer inspection the sticky-uppy head quills were longer and curled slightly looking like horns, the back quills protruded more giving off the impression of wings. But this version of Super Sonic was in no way an angel. The white-gold hedgehog cocked his head at the sleeping trio and stepped towards them with interest when a loud explosion rocked the asteriod. He growled low in his throat, hands clenched tight and encased with blue flames. Turning on the spot he saw pillars of purple-orange fire and smoke rising from the pit that housed the temple... HIS temple.

"Goddess." He sneered, jade eyes narrowing, he recognised those flames anywhere. How dare she return!

Surrounding himself with all the negetive Chaos engery he could muster, Nazo rose in the air in a ball of electric blue and dived into the pit determined to take back what was his and stop anyone who stood in his way.

Kinda given up on this. Tried so many re-writes and none felt good enough. This is final attempt, if not good...meh.

Big battle is around the corner, and it won't end well. I guess I could try and finish it seeing as it's taken me years to get this far.

Any-hoo R+R is always welcome.
