Hello everyone, and welcome back... when we last left to the last Chapter, Izzy was brought into the operating room to get her ankle fixed. So, let's see how Jake and Cubby are dealing with it in the waiting room..
Chapter 7 Izzy's recovery
Cubby's POV
As Izzy was still in surgery, Jake, Austin, Ally, Trish, Dez and I were still in the waiting room.
"How much longer?" I already miss my big sister." I asked them while getting annoyed.
"Cubby, be patient." Jake said to me.
"But I don't want to be patient, I want my big sister." I said to him as I was now crying.
"Aww, cubby would a walk make you feel better?" Jake asked me.
"Yes, please." I said to him.
"Ally, would you please take Cubby for a walk?" Jake asked her.
"Sure!" Ally said to him.
Come on Cubby, hold on to my hand." Ally said to me as I did.
Ally's POV
As I was taking Cubby for a walk, he was still crying.
"Want to talk about it?" I asked him.
"I'm just nervous for Izzy, I just want her out of the surgery. and into the recovery room so I can just hug her tightly." Cubby said to me.
"You will." I said to him.
"How about I get you some ice Cream." I suggested to him.
"Okay." Cubby said to me.
Meanwhile back in the waiting room with Jake, Dez, Trish and Austin...
Austin's POV
While Ally was taking Cubby for a walk, I saw Jake with his head down.
"Jake what's wrong?" I asked him.
"I just miss Izzy right now." Jake said to me.
" she's already dead anyway Jake." Dez said to him as Trish dragged him out of the waiting room.
"Don't listen to Dez. I know he's my friend, but he can be so stupid." I said to him.
" that's what I'm worried about." Jake said to me.
" Jake they're only doing surgery, on her ankle." I said to him.
"I know but.." Jake said to me.
"Can I tell you something?" I asked him as Jake nodded his head.
"When I had my nodules taken out, Ally was also worried about me." I said to him.
"I bet she hugged you when you returned." Jake said to me.
"She did." I said to him.
"And I bet that's how you're going to feel, when you see Izzy, in the recovery room. same goes for Cubby." I said to him.
"Thanks Austin, you're a good friend." Jake said to me.
As Ally came back with Cubby holding an ice cream cone, I walked to Ally.
"Aww, you didn't get me one?" I asked her as she was showing me an ice cream cone.
"Yay!" I said to myself as I took it.
"How are you feeling Cubby?" I asked him.
"I'm feeling better, but I still miss my big sister." Cubby said to me.
"Don't worry she'll be fine." I said to her.
Once we all turned around, we saw Jake sleep.
"Looks like Jake was tired." I said to them.
"How about we just let him sleep Austin.
"Yeah, will just let him sleep." I said to her.
"Where's Trish and Dez?" Ally asked me.
" Trish took Dez out in the hallway, because he said something really stupid to Jake about Izzy.
"Well, what did he say?" Ally asked me.
"Trust me, you do not want to know." I said to her.
"Was it mean?" Ally asked me.
"Very mean." I said to her as Dr. Victor came in.
"How was Izzy's surgery?" I asked him.
" Izzy's surgery, was a complete success." Dr Victor said to us.
"You may go see her in the recovery room." Dr. Victor said to us.
"Jake, Jake Izzy's out of surgery." Cubby said to him while shaking him awake.
"Huh, what?" Jake asked us.
" Izzy's out of surgery, we're going to go see her in the recovery room now." Ally said to him as we helped him up.
Jake's POV
As it was an hour later, we all went into the recovery room to see Izzy.
Once I walked over to Izzy, she was still sleeping. So I kissed her forehead, and sat down next to her while holding her hand.
"Izzy, did a fantastic job during her surgery today." Dr. Victor said to us.
"I'm proud of you, Iz." I whispered to her as she smiled.
" So, Izzy will be wearing a cast on her ankle for eight weeks." Dr. Victor said to me.
"Will she be staying in the hospital for awhile?" I asked Dr. Victor.
"Most likely yes, but she won't be staying in the hospital overnight. she'll be staying with us for a few hours and then she can go home." Dr. Victor said to me.
"But Dr Victor, she just had surgery on her ankle." I said to him.
" I understand that Jake." Dr. Victor said to me.
"So why can't you understand the hospital for a few days?" I asked him.
"Jake, maybe you should calm down a bit." Cubby said to me.
"No, I will not calm down. my girlfriend just had surgery and they can't keep her here for a while." I said to him.
" Jake, I know you're upset, but there's nothing we can do I'm sorry." Dr. Victor said to me.
"You are going to keep Izzy, in the hospital for a days." I said to him.
"Don't yell at me, I'm a doctor." Dr. Victor said to me.
"I don't care oh, you are going to keep my girlfriend in the hospital for a few days." I said to him.
"No. her ankle surgery lasted for 1 hour Jake. And we have too many patients to deal with." Dr. Victor said to me as I started to attack him.
"JAKE STOP!" They all said to me as they were trying yo get me off Dr. Victor.
" Jake what is the matter?" Cubby asked me.
" I'll tell you what's the matter, Dez said something really mean to me earlier." I said to him.
"What did he say?" Cubby asked me.
"He said that my girlfriend's dead already, and that got me really upset." I said to him as I helped Dr. Victor up.
" I'm sorry Dr. Victor, I'm just worried about my girlfriend right now." I said to him.
"Jake she's safe. I promise you we will take good care of her. She is actually, going to stay in the hospital for a while." Dr. Victor said to me.
"If it's okay with you, can I stay with her? I just don't want anything happening to Izzy I said to him.
"I can see you're upset Jake, sure you can stay with her overnight." Dr. Victor said to me.
After Dr Victor left, I went back to my seat, and continue to hold Izzy's hand.
"Izzy, I love you, and I will protect you tonight. I will make sure nothing happens to you." I said to her as I kissed her forehead.
"Hey, Jake, we're going to go home." Ally said to me.
"Yeah, we'll see you guys tomorrow." Cubby said to me.
"Cubby, you're staying." I said to him.
"Ugh, why do I have to stay?" Cubby asked me.
"Because you were complaining earlier about missing Izzy." I said to him.
"Jake I'm surprised you didn't get arrested for attacking the doctor." Cubby said to me.
"Cubby this is Miami. do you really think the cops will arrest me here in Miami?" I asked him.
"Basically, yeah." Cubby said to me.
"By the way, where did Dez even get the chainsaw?" I asked him.
"I have no clue. But, it's a good thing you took it away from him and threw it out the window, before he could do any more damage to Izzy." Cubby said to me.
" oh my God if Dez did more damage to Izzy, she would spend more than one hour in the operating room." I said to him.
"J, Jake?" Izzy said while calling my name.
"Izzy, I am so proud of you today. You did a good job on your surgery." I said to her as Cubby immediately hugged her while crying.
"I missed you, Izzy." Cubby said to her.
"Aww, I missed you too." Izzy said to her as she then went back to sleep.
"Cubby relax Izzy just went back to sleep. the anesthesia is still inside her system." I said to him.
" I'm hungry." Izzy said to us as she woke up.
"I'm going to go ask if they can give you something to eat." I said to her as I went to the nurses desk.
"Excuse me, but do you have anything for Izzy to eat?" I asked her.
"Yes she can have some pudding." the nurse said to me as she handed me a carton of pudding and a plastic spoon.
"Thanks!" I said to the nurse as I went back to Izzy and Cubby.
"Here you go, Izzy." I said to her while handing her the pudding and Spoon.
As Izzy was eating her pudding, Cubby fell asleep on Izzy's bed.
Aww, Cubby's so cute." I said to myself as I picked up the sleeping Cubby and placed him in my arms.
"You are so cute and adorable, Cubby." I said to him as I was pinching his cheek.
"Hehe, stop it Jake." Cubby said to me.
"What, your cute and adorable little buddy." I said to him.
"I hate to burst your bubble Jake, but I think Izzy is more cuter than me." Cubby said to me.
The next morning...
Izzy's POV
As I woke up, I saw Jake's head sleeping on my bed, while Cubby was sleeping on the couch.
" Jake, Jake, wakey wakey, eggs and bakey." I said to him as he was slowly waking up.
"Good morning my love." I said to him.
"Morning!" Jake said to me as we heard a knock on the door.
"Good morning, Ms. Green." Dr. Victor said to me.
"Morning Dr. Victor!" I said to him.
"I want to do a new X-ray on your ankle, today if that's okay with you." Dr. Victor said to me.
"Oh that's fine, let's do it." I said to him as Jake placed me on a wheelchair.
"Thank you Jakey." I said to him as I then left.
Time skip...
Jake's POV
As I heard a knock on the door, I went to open it.
"Mr. and Mrs. Moon, Joe Austin's parents. What are you doing here?" I asked them.
"Austin told us what happened and we're sorry Jake." Mr. Moon said to me as Dr. Victor came back with Izzy.
"Izzy, Cubby, I would like for you two to meet Austin's parents." I said to them.
Meanwhile back at the AA Music Factory...
Ally's POV
As we were all getting ready to welcome Izzy home, Dez was playing with the balloons.
"Hey, stop playing with the balloons." I said to him as Austin was doing the same thing.
"Austin, really?" I asked him.
"Sorry, are you nervous again?" Austin asked me.
"Well I don't think Dr. Victor hasn't told her she's coming home today. I just want to squeeze that little cutie." I said to him.
"Don't worry, my parents said they will drive them here." Austin said to me.
"Yeah by the way, how does your parents know them?" I asked him.
"Don't you remember, they're the ones that gave Cubby my childhood clothes when they first arrive and last year." Austin said to me.
"Oh, yeah." I said to him.
Back at the hospital...
Cubby's POV
While Izzy was watching TV, Dr. Victor was going over her ankle X-ray from before and after her surgery.
"Okay, we have fix for ankle last night and as you can see by her X-ray, replace plate and screws inside her ankle. And it will take about six weeks, for her to walk again completely." Dr. Victor said to us.
"Would I have to make a follow-up appointment for her?" Jake asked him.
"Yes, you would have to make a follow-up appointment so we can see the progress in her ankle." Dr. Victor said to him.
"So can I go home, today Dr. Victor?" Izzy asked him.
"Yes. I just need Jake to sign some discharge papers and you'll be on your way." Dr. Victor said to her as Jake have Izzy her clothes.
Five minutes later, Izzy was dressed and ready to go. As Mrs. Moon placed Izzy in her wheelchair, Jake came back with the discharged papers.
"Okay guys let's go to the AA Music Factory!" Jake said to us.
"Yep because there's something waiting for you Izzy." Mr. Moon." said to her.
Once we all made it to the AA Music Factory, the lights were off.
"Why are the lights off?" I asked myself as I turned them on.
"SURPRISE WELCOME HOME IZZY!" both Austin and Ally Dez and Trish said to her while Izzy was in tears..
"Aww, you guys, this is so sweet." Izzy said to them.
"All of this was your big sister's idea." Austin said to her.
"Aww, thanks so much Ally!" Izzy said to her.
"And now, Jake has a song that he wants to sing to you." Austin and I said to her.
"Jake?" We all called for him but no response.
" I know where he went." Ally said to us as she went upstairs.
Ally's POV
As I opened the door, I saw Jake playing the piano.
"Jake, I didn't know you can play the piano." I said to him.
" I didn't know either. if on that stage, I'm going to humiliate myself." Jake said to me.
" it's okay Jake, I used to be like that when I wanted to perform. but you can do this. do this for Izzy." I said to him.
"Hey, you don't mind if I use one of the songs that you and Austin sang, do you?" Jake asked me.
"I don't mind at all. what song were you suggesting?" I asked him.
" I was thinking You Can Come To Me. and I want you to see it with me with Cubby Trish Austin Dez." Jake said to me.
" we would like to do it!" The guys said to us as we turned around.
"How long have you guys been standing there?" I asked them.
"Long enough to hear you play the piano." Cubby said to him.
As we all went back downstairs, we all went to the stage.
"This song is for Izzy." Jake said to her.

Jake's POV
After we were done singing the song, I ran up to Izzy and hugged her.
"That was beautiful, I love you Jake." Izzy said to me.
"I love you too Izzy. and I meant what I said back at the hospital. I will protect you." I said to her.
"Jake Hutchinson, you always will." Izzy said to me as I smiled.
"Alright now, let's go eat some cake!" Dez said to us.
"Dez we ordered pizza, not cake." Austin said to him.
"Aww, what am I supposed to do with my chainsaw now?" Dez asked us.
"SELL IT ONLINE!" we all yelled at him.
"Fine, I'll sell it online." Dez said to us as he left.
Author's note: Well this was a happy moment. that is until Dez, brought up the chainsaw again. I don't know what we're going to do with him.
