Chapter 12 Izzy's Spine surgery and recovery

Jake's POV

It was the next morning, and I was in the waiting room with my sleeping little brother Cubby.

"Morning, Jake!" Austin and Ally said to me.

"Morning guys! So, Izzy is in the operating room again for her spine surgery." I said to them.

"Well, it is 7:09 am." Ally said to me.

"What's going on? Where's Izzy?" Cubby asked us as he started to wake up.

"Izzy, went for her spine surgery, Cubby." I said to him.

"No, I want my big SISTER!" Cubby said to us while screaming as he ran out of the waiting room but I caught him.

"Whoa where do you think your going Cubby?" I asked him.

"I'm going to go see Izzy." Cubby said to me.

"You can't go into the operating room while she's having her spine surgery, buddy." I said to him.

"Jake, I know that, I just really miss her, right now. She's like my big sister, and a mother." Cubby said to me.

"Aww, that's so sweet of you to say about Izzy." I said to him

"I know I'm sweet like candy." Cubby said to me.

"Hey, I have an idea, how about we visit Bart and Lisa?" Austin suggested to us.

"Actually, I think Bart just wants to be alone with his little sister Austin." Ally said to him.

"Aww, man." Austin said to himself disappointed.

"Are you guys hungry?" I asked them as all of our tummy's started to grumble.

"Yeah, I can go for some breakfast right now." Both Cubby, Austin and Ally said to me as we all went to the cafeteria for some good old breakfast.

As we were in line to get our breakfast, I saw Bart sitting at a table alone.

"Hey, guys, let's go sit with Bart." I suggested to them.

"Sure." They said to me as we got our food, and went to go sit with Bart.

"Morning, Bart!" We all said to him.

"Huh? Oh, hey guys." Bart said to us.

"Why the long face Bart?" Cubby asked him.

"Lisa, didn't wake up last night." Bart said to him.

"Hey, she'll wake up, just give it time." I said to him.

"Yeah, but I'm nervous, Jake." Bart said to me.

"I understand that Bart, I really do. Like I said before, just give her time to wake up. She's going to wake up soon." I said to him.

"Thanks, Jake!" Bart said to me as he threw his breakfast in the trash.

"Hey, where are you going?" I asked him.

"I am going back to Lisa's room." Bart said to me.

"Good for you Bart." I said to him as he then left.

"Jake, how long is Izzy's spine surgery?" Cubby asked me while he was eating an omelette sandwich.

"I'll ask the receptionist." I said before him.

"Okay." Cubby said to me as he was now picking at his food.

"Hey Izzy's going to be okay." I said to him.

"Oh, it's not Izzy I'm worried about right now, it's just that I miss Stormy." Cubby said to me.

"I know you miss Stormy, but you guys are just friends right?" I asked him.

"Uh, yeah just friends and nothing more." Cubby said to me.

"Didn't you say that you and Stormy, are boyfriend and girlfriend?" I asked him.

"Yes I did, why?" Cubby asked me.

"Cubby, you are too young to date. and I bet Marina's having the same conversation with her little sister." I said to him.

"So, you say I can't date Stormy?" Cubby asked me.

"That's exactly what I'm saying." I said to him as he ran off.

"Cubby, wait." I said to him as I ran after him.

Once I found Cubby, he was crying hard this time.

"Cubby, can I talk to you?" I asked him.

"NO, YOU SAID I CAN'T DATE STORMY!" Cubby yelled at me.

"Cubby listen. it's not like I don't want you to date Stormy right away, can you just wait until 2018?" I asked him.

"NO!" Cubby said to me.

"Cubby, if you're going to date someone, you should wait." I suggested to him.

"I waited, now look at me I'm already dating the love of my life." I said to him.

"Oh goodie, hooray for you." Cubby said to me.

"Don't you dare take that tone with me mister." I said to him.

"Whatever, Jake." Cubby said to me.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?" I asked him.

"I SAID WHATEVER! NOW, MOVE!" Cubby said to me.

"No. You are going to stay right here with me until Izzy is out of surgery." I said to him.

"NO, I AM NOT GOING TO STAY HERE WITH YOU!" Cubby said to me as he ran off.

"Ugh, Cubby, I'm getting tired of this." I said to him as I chased after him.

Once I found Cubby again, he was on the floor crying and throwing a fit."

"HEY, GET OFF THE FLOOR RIGHT NOW, CUBBY." I said to him as he did.

"YOU ARE NOW GROUNDED! THAT MEANS NO TV, WHEN WE GO HOME IN A COUPLE OF WEEK!" I said to him.

"SHUT UP!" Cubby said to me.

"Oh you have crossed it, Cubby. Get inside the waiting room, and sit down." I said to him.

"I can't believe your behavior today." I said to him.

"Don't you love me?" Cubby asked me.

"Cubby of course I love you, you're my little brother but the way you're acting, I don't love." I said to him.

"I'm sorry, Jake." Cubby said to me.

"I don't know if I should accept your apology right now, because the way you acted today." I said to him.

"Jake please, I'm sorry. I, I, I, I, just miss Izzy." Cubby said to me while sobbing.

"So, is that why you were making a scene out in the hallway? because you miss Izzy?" I asked him.

"YES!" Cubby said to me.

"Cubby, you need to calm down first. We ain't doing all the crying again. you're eight years old act like it.

"But Jake, eight year olds do cry." Cubby said to me.

"Not when they're acting outside in the hallway, throwing a tantrum." I said to him.

"I'm a little boy, Jake." Cubby said to me.

"Okay, so what does that have to do with anything?" I asked him.

"I got nothing." Cubby said to me.

"Of course, of course you got nothing, because I'm right." I said to him.

"Okay, maybe you are right. The way I was acting, was not cool, and I'm sorry." Cubby said to me.

"It's okay." I said to him.

"Are you going to tell on me about my behavior?" Cubby asked me.

"I'm going to tell Peter Pan once we get home, he's not going to be happy about what you did." I said to him.

"Oh man." Cubby said to me.

"Oh Jake, please don't tell Peter Pan please I'll be good." Cubby said to me.

"Cubby you threw a tantrum out in the hallway, and you told me to shut up." I said to him.

"You're doing this just because you want attention, and you want to see Izzy. for god sakes, grow up Cubby." I said to him.

"I don't want to be grounded, I want to be ungrounded, and be able to watch TV again." Cubby said to me.

"You will be able to watch TV until you learn to behave." I said to him as Cubby hit me in the face.

"CUBBY! WHY?" I asked him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit you Jake." Cubby said to me.

"Go, sit in the corner." I said to him.

"No." Cubby said to me as I then picked him up and put him on the chair facing the wall.

"You are going to sit there, and think about what you did." I said to him as he then spit on my face.

"HOW DARE YOU!" I said to him.

"Cubby, why did you do that?" Ally asked him as her and Austin came back.

"Because, Jake is stupid." Cubby said to her as I heard what he said.

"Cubby, face the wall." I said to him as be did.

" Jake why is Cubby acting like this?" Austin and Ally asked me.

"Because, he wants to see Izzy." I said to them.

"How about you just go let him see her?" Austin suggested to me.

"Izzy is in the middle of spine surgery right now, Austin." I said to him.

"Oh, yeah." Austin said to me.

Doctor's POV

But before we went to go go Izzy's spine surgery, the nurse and I took Izzy for a named exam in her. So, we took her hospital gown off and her underwear off. Then we told her yo pee on the bed as she also did a number two. After she was done, we spread her legs apart, as we cleaned her butt, with the baby powder do she won't get a rash. Then we placed a diaper on her. After that we then took her back to the operating room for her spine surgery. Once we arrived back into the operating room, Izzy was trying to refused to let the surgeon put the anesthesia mask on her face to make her sleepy.

Surgeon's POV

As Izzy was awake, she was peeing on the operating table as we started to get wipes and clean her front part. As the nurse started to noticed that Izzy started to make number two as it went through the tube while Izzy was lying on her back, Izzy was unconscious.

After Izzy was put to sleep, we started to take her hospital gown off, and her diaper off as we then placed the catheter bag into her bladder, and a tube inside her butthole since we are going to be here for nine hours.

"Okay this is Izzy green, she's having spine surgery, and now let's get started." I said to them as he started.

Time ship, nine hours later...

After Izzy's spine surgery was done, we took her for another naked exam in a private room, while she's naked with her diaper on. once we get her naked exam, we woke her up for hersponge bath. That's when things started to get really serious.

Izzy's POV

as I was surrounded by nurses and doctors, I was in a bathtub naked.

" what's going on? Why you touching me? Why am I naked? JAKE!" I asked them as I was screaming for Jake.

"Ms, Green due to your accident, we're giving you a sponge bath." The nurse said to me.

"NO, I DON'T WANT TO SPONGE BATH, I WANT JAKE." I said to them I bet started to pee in the bath Non stop.

"I can't stop, I can't stop." I said to them as I they then placed an oxygen mask on me to calm me down.

"Are you calm, Ms. Green? can we continue with your sponge bath?" The nurse asked me.

"Yes, I'm calm, you may continue." I said to them threw the mask.

Cubby's POV

As I was still sitting in the corner, I was already getting bored. So, I decided to tiptoe away from the waiting room.

"Cubby where are you going?" Jake asked me.

"Out for a walk." I said to him.

"Nice try, go back in the corner." Jake said to me.

"Jake, if I may ask what are you doing?" I asked him.

"Eating a sandwich, while I'm watching you." Jake said to me.

"Okay, I don't need a babysitter." I said to him.

"Clearly, you do." Jake said to me.

"But, WHY?" I asked him.

"That's why you're whining. you always get what you want, and that's how it goes. you live by my rules Cubby." Jake said to me.

"Technically it's Peter Pan's rules, and who made you the boss?" I asked him.

"Oh, Peter Pan did, he made me leader." Jake. said to me.

"And if you don't like it, find someone else." Jake said to me.

"No, I'd rather be here with you." I said to him.

"Good choice." Jake said to me.

" does that mean I'm off punishment, and I can watch TV again when we get back home?" I asked him.

"Oh no, you're still grounded." Jake said to me.

"For how long?" I asked him.

"You're grounded, for two weeks." Jake said to me.

"So, I can't watch TV when we get home for two weeks?" I asked him.

"Yup!" Jake said to me.

"Then what am I supposed to do for 2 weeks, read a book?" I asked him.

"Hey now, your catching on." Jake said to me while reading a magazine.

As I found a dinosaur book hanging out on the shelves in the waiting room oh, I took it out and walk over to Jake.

"Jake, can you read me this dinosaur book?" I asked him.

"The Little Dinosaur That Could?" Jake asked me as I nodded my head and smiled.

"I'm not reading it to you, I got my own magazine to read, thank you very much." Jake said to me as I started to whimper.

"Ugh, fine I'll read it to you." Jake said to me.

"Yay!" I said to him while I got on his lap as he started to read.

"Hey guys what's going on... Ooh, The Little Dinosaur That Could!" Austin said to himself As Ally looked at him weird.

"Austin, how old are you?" Jake asked him.

"I'm 19, why?" Austin asked him.

"And yet you still act like a nine a years old." Ally said to him

"No, I don't." Austin said to him as I cams back with a Clifford book.

"Not happening, Cubby." Jake said to me.

"Ooh, Clifford!" Austin said to himself as he took the book out of my hand.

" okay Austin me and you are going back to the AA Music Factory." Ally said to him as she dragged him away.

"Jake, can you please read me Clifford The big red Dog?" I asked him.

"No." Jake said to me.

"I did say please." I said to him.

"And I said no, I already read you a Kitty book. I'm not reading you another Kitty book." Jake said to me.

"Jake, Izzy's spine surgery has just begun, and it's going to be nine hours." the nurse said to him as he nodded his head.

"Great, what are we supposed to do for 9 hours?" I asked him.

"I don't know about you Cubby, but I'm taking a nap." Jake said to me.

"Then, what am I supposed to do?" I asked him.

" well, since you were acting out, how about you take a nap." Jake suggested to me.

"Fine, I'll take a nap." I said to him as we both fell asleep.

Jake's POV

After my nap, I saw Cubby sleeping soundly. So, I didn't want to bother him. As I got up from the chair, I started to stretch my body.

"Well that was a good nap, especially the part where I was dreaming about Sofia the first thing Izzy and me. then again, why was Sofa in my dream? she probably wanted to hang out with Cubby. Oh well, the most important thing is I got my nap done, and I am well rested." I said to myself.

" Jake, read me another story please read me another story." Cubby said to me.

"No, I'm not reading you anymore story." I said to him .

"I want you to read me more stories please." Cubby said to me while he was starting to cry.

"No, go sit in the corner." I said to him as he started to sing the PJ masks theme song.

"Ahhh, SHUT UP, ALREADY!" I said to him.

Meanwhile back with Izzy...

Izzy's POV

As I was still peeing, the water immediately turned yellow. So the nurses took me out of the tub while I was covering my bladder with my hands. but unfortunately, the urine went through my hands and onto the floor while the nurse was holding my hand helping me to walk. that's when my number 2 came out and on to the floor.

"Izzy, you okay?" one of the nurses asked me as I shook my head no.

"It's okay, will help you." The nurse said to me as the oxygen mask was stillborn my face.

"I, want Jakey!" I said to them as tears came down my cheek.

Once I start to cry, my number two came out really bad. I couldn't stop, it just continued on coming out of my butt.

"I feel embarrassed right now, it's not going to stop, it's not going to stop." I said to myself.

As the butt doctor came over, he started to check my butt to see what was going on.

"Okay, so I think Izzy needs to have surgery on her butt, and her private part." The butt doctor said to the nurse.

"Please, please no more surgeries. I had enough all I want to do is go back into my hospital room." I said to him.

"Izzy I understand, but you can't control your body." The butt doctor said to me.

"Dr. David, she can't stop pooping or peeing, so since Izzy doesn't want to have another surgery what do you suggest?" The nurse asked him.

"Well, I suggest you put a baby mat on the table oh, that way she can continue doing her business. since she can't stop doing it in public." Dr. David said to her.

"Thanks Dr. David." The nurse said to him as the nurses immediately took me back to the private room. once we arrived, one of the nurses placed the baby mat on the table. While the other nurse picked me up and placed me on the baby mat.

"Okay let's see what we're dealing with." one of the doctors said as he then shined a flashlight while the nurse placed a towel on my knees.

"Oh my this isn't good." The doctor said himself.

"What? What do you see?" The nurse asked him.

" well unfortunately due to the blood loss, I think the blood inside her urine is the reason why she is peeing a lot." The doctor said to her.

"Ms. Green, would you please bend down so I can look inside your butt?" Dr. David asked me as I bended down.

Once Dr. David shined the flashlight inside my butthole, his eyes went wide.

"Okay there's more blood inside her butt to that's why she can't stop pooping as well." Dr. David said to the nurses.

"We need to get her back to the operating room, and quick." The doctor said to the nurse.

As we came back in the operating room again, I was really scared like really really scared.

"Please no more SURGERIES!" I said to them while screaming. But unfortunately my screaming became quieter and quieter as I was drifting off to sleep again with the anesthesia mask on my face.

Surgeon's POV

"Okay this is Isabella Rose green, she has blood in her butt and urine come on so we need to clean it out." I said to my team as we started the surgery.

The Nurse's POV

As I arrived in the waiting room, I saw Izzy's boyfriend reading a magazine.

"Excuse me, are you Izzy's boyfriend?" I asked him.

"Yes I'm Jake, is she okay?" asked me.

"Mr. Hutchinson, she's still in surgery due to her spine." I said to him.

"So it's going to be more than 9 hours?" Jake asked me.

"I'm afraid so, Mr. Hutchinson." I said to him.

"Thank you, for the update." Jake said to me.

After I left the waiting room, I said this to myself.

"Huh, I should lie more often. wait that would cost me my job." I said to myself.

Back in the operating room....

Surgeon's POV

Once we placed a tube down Izzy's throat, and taped her eyes shut, I was sitting in the front of Izzy's private area while the operating light was shining on it as her legs were on two harnesses to keep it up about 8 ft high while we do the surgery. That's when her urine started to come out again as her hands were now restrained to the operating table. As the doctor handed me a thin tube, I placed it inside Izzy's bladder. Then the doctor handed me a scalpel to cut her private part, as I start to use scissors. The wires that were still connected to her head, was still monitoring her brain.

Jake's POV

After the nurse left, I was worried even more.

"Why does it have to be another nine hours? I want to see Izzy." I said to myself.

"Jake, take it easy." Cubby said to me.

"Take it easy? TAKE IT EASY? OH SURE I'LL TAKE IT EASY, I just want to see her, but now she's still in SURGERY!" I said to him as I was now crying.

"Jake calm down please, I hate seeing you like this." Cubby said to me.

"Don't touch me." I said to him as Ally came in.

"Jake what's the matter, why are you all upset all of a sudden?" Ally asked me.

"Because Izzy is in surgery for another nine hours, due to her spine. I just want to see her." I said to her as I was crying hard.

"I want to wait in the waiting room anymore, I want to be with Izzy." I said to myself.

"Jake calm down, you're going to give yourself anxiety." Cubby said to me.

"Shut up Cubby. you don't know how much Izzy means to me." I said to him.

"Of course I do." Cubby said to me.

"No, you don't, Izzy should have been out of the surgery. I'm scared, what if she doesn't come out?" I asked them.

"Jake she will come out just calm down, and take it easy. Izzy will come out." Ally said to me.

"I want Izzy." I said to myself as Cubby gave a Izzy doll.

"Here, you go, Jake." Cubby said to me as I slapped it out of his hands.

"No well, I want the real Izzy." I said to him.

"Well she's in surgery right now, and you need to be patient." Ally said to me.

"MAYBE I DON'T WANT TO BE PATIENT! I WANT TO SEE MY GIRLFRIEND!" I said to them while screaming really loud.

"Jake, take deep breaths, everything is going to be fine." Both Cubby and Ally said to me.

"I'm going for a walk, no one follow me." I said to them as I left.

As I was taking a walk around the hospital, I was thinking about Izzy.

"Oh Izzy, I hope your being brave." I said to myself.

As I came back to the waiting room, I saw Cubby playing with blocks.

"Building a tower, Cubby?" I asked him.

"Yeah! how do you feel, after your walk around the Miami hospital?" Cubby asked me.

"Okay I guess." I said to him

Two Weeks later...

Izzy's POV

After two weeks of suffering through a lot of surgeries, and embarrassment, I was thrilled that it was time for me to leave this place.

"It's about time, I'm leaving this place." I said to myself as Jake was helping me hey on my wheelchair.

"Yeah I'm tired of this place too, sweetie." Jake said to me.

"Oh Ms. Green, this is for you. Since you have been such a great patient, I got you a lollipop, with your face on it." The doctor said to me.

"You have the factory made this for me?" I asked him.

"Yeah, it was actually your boyfriend's idea." The doctor said to me as I looked at him.

"Thanks, Jake! you know how to make this girl happy." I said to him.

"Well, I can't take all the credit. Okay, maybe I can." Jake said to me.

As we arrived at the AA Music factory, Austin Dez, Trish, and Ally were standing there with a huge sign that read... WELCOME BACK IZZY!

"Aww, you guys, this is so sweet. Thanks!" I said to them.

"Hey, you sufferer enough. So, we wanted to make you feel better." Ally said to me as I started to think about what happened to me two weeks ago.

"Izzy, you okay?" Both Jake and Cubby asked me.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I said to them as I wheeled myself to the couch.

"Oh Izzy, let me help you." Jake said to me as he helped me to sit down on the couch.

"Thanks, Jake!" I said to him while Ally came to me with a fork and a piece of cake.

"Wow, thanks Ally." I said to her.

"You're welcome." Ally said to me.

"Jake, I want to go home." Cubby said to him while whining.

"Cubby you are giving me a headache right now, and we are not going back to Neverland until Izzy is fully healed." Jake said to him.

" By the way Cubby, why did you want to go back home so badly?" I asked him.

"So, I can see Stormy." Cubby said to me.

"Cubby like I started back at the hospital, you are too young to date. Your 8 years old for crying out loud." Jake said to him.

"What's this I hear about dating stormy thing?" I asked them ad I was confused.

"It's nothing Izzy, it's just that Cubby wants to start dating stormy at the age of eight." Jake said to me.

"Cubby, I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Jake on this one you're too young to date." I said to him.

"So, you're taking your boyfriend's side? Cubby asked me.

" well I wasn't going to go behind my boyfriend's back, and say yes you can date her." I said to him.

"So that's it, I have to wait?" Cubby asked us.

"Yes, you do." Both Jake and I said to him.

"This is the worst vacation I've ever been to." Cubby said to himself while sitting on the couch pouting.

"That's not nice to say, Cubby." I said to him.

"I mean I would like to go home as well don't get me wrong, but I am just going to spend time with Austin and Ally while I am recovering from three surgeries." I said to him.

"You're right, Izzy. You need to recover. So, will stay until your fully healed." Cubby said to me.

"Thank you, for understanding little brother." I said to him.

"You're welcome!" Cubby said to me.

"Hey Izzy, the doctor gave me something that will help you monitoring the recovery." Jake said to me as I opened it.

"It's just a normal watch." I said to him.

"Well yes, but it has been modified for special people like you to monitor your recovery." Jake said to me.

"Jake, I don't need some special device to monitor my recovery. all I need is you guys to help me out." I said to him.

"Well, I'm guessing I can throw this in the trash cuz it was no use." Jake said to me as he threw the watch in the trash bin.

"So, what are we going to do now?" Cubby asked us.

"What we can do Cubby, is help Izzy to recover." Jake said to him.

"Aww, fine." Cubby said to him disappointed.

"But helping Izzy is going to be boring, Jake"." Cubby said to him.

"Cubby go sit on the steps, you're embarrassing yourself right now." Jake said to him as he did.

"I am so sorry about him, guys he's just being a big baby." Jake said to them.

"I am not being a baby, Jake." Cubby said to him.

"Oh really? Because it seems like you are." Jake said to him.

"Fine, whatever." Cubby said to himself.

"If anyone needs me, I'll be upstairs in the practice room." Cubby said to us.

"Don't do anything stupid up there." Jake said to him.

"YOUR NOT MY FATHER, SO STOP PRETENDING TO BE HIM!" Cubby said to him.

"Do you remember your father?" Jake asked him.

"No, but you sound like him right now. So, do me a favor Jake and leave me alone." Cubby said to him as he slammed the door.

"Your grounded for 3 weeks as of now." Jake yelled to him.
