Chapter 13 Jake takes care of Izzy while recovery

Jake's POV

It was the next morning inside Austin's house, and Izzy was just eating breakfast.

"Morning, Jake and Izzy!" Cubby said to us.

"Hey Cubby, want some breakfast?" I asked him.

"Sure, what's for breakfast?" Cubby asked me.

"Bacon, omelet, and pancakes." I said to him.

"Sounds good." Cubby said to me.

"How are you doing Izzy?" Cubby asked her.

"I'm okay I guess, just that being in the wheelchair is boring." Izzy said to him.

"Don't worry Izzy, you're not going to be in a wheelchair for a long." I said to her.

"Yeah it's only for your back." Cubby said to her.

"I guess so." Izzy said to us disappointed.

"Hey, don't feel down. It's only going to be for a few weeks, and then you can walk again." I said to her as I missed her cheek.

"Thanks Jake, I love you." Izzy said to me.

"Love you too, Iz." I said to her.

"What up crew!" Austin said to us as he walked into the dinning room.

" Well Izzy's feeling down, about being in a wheelchair after having surgery on her spine." I said to him.

"Aww, poor kid. but don't worry Izzy, I bet your spine will get better soon." Austin said to her.

"Thanks Austin." Izzy said to him as he smiled.

"So, what is our activity today?" Austin asked us.

" Well, I was thinking to spend some alone time with Izzy today." I said to him.

"I got nothing to do, so can I gang out rest of you guys at the AA Music factory?" Cubby asked him.

"Sure, Cubby." Austin said to him.

As I was about to say something, the doctor called me.

"Good morning Jake, this Izzy's doctor. so, I was wondering if you can bring her in today so we can do an X-ray on her spine to see if it's healing right?" The doctor asked me.

"Sure, I will be there." I said to him as I hung up.

"So, Izzy we're going to spend time in the hospital for a little bit, because you're going to get a follow-up X-ray of your spine to see if it's healing properly." I said to her.

"Okay." Izzy said to me.

At the Mimi Hospital with Jake and Izzy...

as I went to the receptionist, I signed Izzy in.

"I hate waiting rooms." Izzy said to herself.

"It's going to be okay Izzy." I said to her as I rubbed her shoulder.

"Izzy Rose Green." the doctor said as he calmed her name.

"Ready for your X-ray, Ms. Green?" The doctor asked her.

"Yeah, let's get this over with." Izzy said to him as he took her wheelchair and left leaving me in the waiting room.

Izzy's POV

As we arrived into the X-ray room, the door helped me to lay down in my stomach since they were taking a picture of my back.

"Okay, Izzy, when the light turns red, I want you to breath and then hold it in for five minutes, and then release." The doctor said to me as I nodded my head.

Once the the light turned red, I started to breath in and held it in for five minutes.

"Good job, Izzy! Okay, one more." The doctor said to me as I repeated the breathing and holding it in for five minutes.

"Okay, and we are done." The doctor said to me as I got up slowly with the help of my doctor.

"Thanks! So, when do we get the results?" I asked him.

"Just give me a few minutes, and I'll canal you and your boyfriend Jake into my office." The doctor said to me.

Sure, thing doc." I said to him as he brought me back to Jake who kissed me on the lips.

"I am proud of you Iz." Jake said to me.

"Thanks!" I said to him while the doctor went to get my X-ray results back.

"hopefully I don't want to be in this wheelchair, for this long Jake." I said to him.

"Izzy, the X-ray came back!" The doctor said to me as Jake and I went into his office.

"Okay, so here is her X-ray before her surgery. Here is your X-ray after your surgery, And here is your last X-ray I took today. Your spine is almost held completely." The doctor said to me as Jake kissed my cheek.

"Good job Izzy!" Jake said to me.

"Yeah, good job Ms. Green." The doctor said to me.

"Thanks, guys. So now, Jake came we leave?" I asked him.

"Sure." Jake said to me as we left the Mimi Hospital.

once Jake and I arrived back at the AA Music Factory, Austin, Trish, Dez, Cubby and Ally we're watching High School Musical 3 Senior year on a tablet.

"How was the appointment?" Cubby asked us.

"It was great, the doctor said that my spine is healing up really well." I said to him.

"That's good to hear, Izzy." Cubby said to me.

"Okay who ate all the popcorn?" Austin asked as they looked at Cubby.

"Sorry, I got hungry." Cubby said to him.

"Reminds me of the time when Cubby ate all of Skully's crackers, when Pip was telling us some genie stories IZZY." Jake said to me as I laughed.

"I'll go make a new batch. and cubby, no more popcorn for you." Trish said to him.

"Aww, Coconuts." Cubby said to her disappointed.

As I wheeled myself to Trish, she was actually reading a Magazine instead of making new popcorn.

" Trish aren't you supposed to be making more popcorn?" I asked her.

" I am making more popcorn." Trish said to me as I turned my wheelchair around and saw Dez playing with the popcorn machine.

"Dez, what are you doing?" I asked him.

" I'm playing with a popcorn machine duh." Dez said to me.

"Dez, you're going to break the machine." Jake said to him.

" relax it's not like I'm going to literally break... oops. Uh, The Handlebar broke." Dez said to him.

"Hey what's going on... What happened to the popcorn machine?" Ally asked us as Dez redeemed The Handlebar real slow like.

As Ally went to go get a piece of paper and pencil, she came back with the bill.

"This is the bill for the machine." Ally said to him.

"Aww, man." Dez said to her.

"Great the popcorn machine broken, and we don't got nothing to eat." Cubby said upset.

"Nothing Cubby? Because before Izzy and I came back from the hospital, we stopped at McDonalds." Jake said to him.

"Uh, Jake since when was there a McDonald's in Miami?" I asked him.

"Didn't see the sign that said McDonald's?" Jake asked me.

"Oh yeah, I did. And when did we go there?" I asked him.

" okay we didn't technically do there after the hospital but we would have. But unfortunately Izzy wanted to see the puppies." Jake said to them.

"I can't help it Jake, they're so cute." Izzy said to him.

"Jake when we get older and have kids, I want to buy a puppy for a daughter or son." I said to him.

" how many puppies do you want to buy for our future kids?" Jake asked me.

"I want to buy one to start with." I said to him.

" so let me get this straight, you want to buy a puppy in the future, even though patch is in Neverland?" Jake asked me.

"Yes!" I said to him.

"Izzy, I'm sorry but we're not going to buy a puppy in the future." Jake said to me as I gave him my baby face.

" I want to buy a puppy for children, but you don't want me to." I said to him.

"Okay okay well buy a puppy in the future, for our kids." Jake said to me.

"Yay, puppy love!" I said to him excited.

"Puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy puppy!" I said to myself while cheering.

"How many times are you going to say that?" Jake asked me.

"Until it annoys you." I said to him.

"You know what annoys me right now, Cubby watching Peppa Pig in the middle of the morning back home." Jake said to me.

"You mean that Nick Jr. show, he's watching right now on the tablet?" I said to him as he turned to see I was right.

"Cubby, are you literally going to continue watching this show until your 13?" Jake asked him.

" I don't just watch Peppa Pig Jake, I also watch PJ masks so haha." Cubby said to him.

"Yeah both of those shows, are annoying and for children." Jake said to him.

"When will I be 13?" Cubby asked him.

"October 7th 2020. And Cubby, you should know your own birthday. you were born October 7th 2007." Jake said to him.

"Oh yeah I was, sorry." Cubby said to him apologetically.

"It's okay, just remember your own birthday." Jake said to him.

"By the way Jake, when are we going back home?" Cubby and I both asked him.

"I'm thinking we should go back home at the end of summer." Jake said to us.

"Wait so we're staying for the rest of the summer in Miami with Austin Ally Trish and Dez?" I asked him.

"Is that what you wanted? Because we can go home right now Izzy." Jake asked me.

"No, because my back isn't even healed yet." I said to him.

"Then yes, we're staying in Miami for the rest if the summer." Jake said to me as I kissed him on the lips.

"Thanks Jake I love you!" I said to him as I kissed his cheek.

"So, if you guys are staying, then we can have even more fun!" Austin said to us.

"Yeah, but I just want to relax and recover for a while first." U said to him.

"Oh. Well, do you need help getting to the couch?" Jake asked me.

"Yes please Jakey!" I said to him as he carried me bride style to the couch.

"Oh, Jake your so strong." I said to him.

"Well, I have been working out." Jake said to me as I giggled.

"Hey, where's Cubby?" Izzy asked me.

"Oh he's upstairs with Austin, Dez Trish, and Ally." Jake said to me.

"Oh so were, alone." I said to him.

"Yeah, I guess we are. let's have some fun!" Jake said to me.

"Okay! What kind of fun?" I asked him.

"Well, maybe I cab treat you like a baby." Jake said to me.

"Um, okay!" I said yo him as I was now sucking my thumb.

Jake's POV

As Izzy was now sucking her thumb, I could help but look how cute she is.

"Aww, Who's a cute little Izzy Wizzy?" I asked her.

"Me!" Izzy said to me.

You are so cute, and adorable Izzy." I said to her as she giggled.

"Hey, I thought I was cute and adorable." Cubby said to me as he was coming down the stairs.

"Cubby, this is Izzy's time. Not, Cubby time.

"Well, can it be both?" Cubby asked me.

"Sure, okay." I said to him as he got on my lap.

"Yay!" Cubby said to me.

"Hey Cubby!" Someone said to him as we turned around to see Stormy with legs.

"Stormy? What are you doing here?" Cubby asked her as he went up to hug her.

" well, I wanted to see how Miami was like, and I heard that you Izzy and Jake were spending the whole summer here oh, so I didn't want you to be alone with out me." Stormy said to him.

"I'm not alone, I have Izzy and Jake." Cubby said to her.

"Cubby who is this lovely girl?" Austin asked him as Stormy blushed at his comment.

"Austin, Ally, Trish and Dez this is Stormy." Cubby said to them.

"Well, its nice to meet you Stormy."

"Stormy, if you wanted to visit Cubby, you could have just told me. instead of wandering off Miami." Marina said to her.

"MARINA?! What are you doing here?" We all asked her minus Austin and his friends.

" Queen Corley wanted me to watch over Stormy, while we visit you guys here, in Miami. And yes I have legs now too." Marina said to us.

"Well since you and Stormy are here, why don't we bring up to speed on what happened to Izzy." I said to them.

One hour later..."Fish flounders, I am so sorry that happened Izzy." Stormy said to her.

"Yeah I'm sorry too." Marina said to her.

"Thanks ladies, but my spine is almost healed up. I just got my X-ray done today." Izzy said to them.

"That's fantastic Izzy!" Stormy said to her.

"Yeah Izzy was so brave, during her surgeries. and I couldn't be more proud of her." I said to them as I kissed Izzy on her lips.

"Aww, thanks Jake." Izzy said to me.
