So many reviews!

Kathy: Thank you for continuing to read!

Long Live BRUCAS: There might be a little something more going on with Dean...

Anne: I'm sorry if that chapter hit too hard. My thinking process was to make John somewhat still canon with this story (and I felt he would still react like that). I love that everyone is super invested in this story with the Winchesters as a "normal" family. And I will definitely check out your writings as well!

On with the show!

"Get off me!"

"Stay out of my room!"

"I know you have it!"

Mary appeared at the top of the stairs, finding Dean sitting on Sam and pinning him to the ground.

"Dean, get off your brother," she said, attempting to lift him off Sam. "Sam, what's wrong?"

"Dean has Timmy!" Sam screamed, still sitting on the ground.

"No, I don't!" Dean screamed back.

"Yes, you do!"

"Why would I take your stupid turtle!?"

Sam jumped off the ground and shoved Dean, causing him to stumble back into the bathroom. Dean shoved him back.

"Okay!" Mary said, stepping in between the two. "Dean, can you go check your bag just in case it got mixed up in your stuff on accident?"

"It didn't!"

"Humor me," Mary begged, keeping her tone low to calm the situation down.

"Fine," Dean huffed, "But it didn't!"

Sam lunged at Dean again as he walked by towards his bedroom. Mary caught Sam by the waist and dragged him down the other end of the hallway.

"Hey!" she said, turning him around to face her, "You know better than to keep shoving him."

"He makes me so mad," Sam muttered.

Mary sighed. It wasn't even ten in the morning. "Why do you think he took your turtle?"

"Because he's mean!"

"Why do you say that?"

"He says mean things. And he acts mean."

"How so?"

"He just does," Sam mumbled, losing his strength to stay angry.

The phone downstairs rang.

"I promise we will find him," Mary assured Sam, "Can you promise me you'll leave Dean alone today?"

"But what if he has him?"

"If Dean did take Timmy, I will take care of it. Okay?"

Sam nodded. He hung his head and went back into his room. Mary ran downstairs to answer the phone in the kitchen.

"Hello?"

"Hey, I'm on my way to work-

Mary sighed in relief. "Oh thank god! Can you take one of your sons with you?"

John chuckled on the line. "What'd they do now?"

"Sam thinks Dean took his turtle."

"You mean the one he left at my place after dinner last night?"

Mary rubbed her face with her hand. "Shit."

John chuckled again. "Yeah, that's why I'm on my way over. I was planning to bring it by on my way to work."

"Can you at least take Sam? It'll give them both a break and I don't think Dean's up for anything today."

"Is he still in a mood?"

"I haven't seen him all morning except for when I caught him tackling his brother just now."

"Yeah, I guess I could find him something at the shop to do. Have him ready in ten."

Sam threw open the door to the auto shop, causing the bell the ring and signaling Ben to come to the lobby from the back room. Ben's an old friend of John's from the marines. Now they co-own a mechanic shop.

Ben smiled watching Sam skip up to the counter. "Hey! Johnny, I think ya shrunk!"

Sam giggled back. He tried to peer over the counter. "Ben! It's me, Sam!"

Ben playfully put his hands on his hips. "No sir, the Sam I know is about yea big." Ben put his hand out towards his knee.

"Mom said I had a growth spurt," Sam teased. He went behind the counter and jumped up on the barstool behind the register.

John walked into the shop. "Ben, do we still have that jumper Dean used to wear?"

"Should still be in the back room."

John held his hand out for Sam. "Come with me." Sam jumped down off the barstool and followed his dad. John opened the storage cabinet and pulled out a mini grey mechanic jumpsuit. "Put this one."

"What's this?"

"When Dean was your age, I used to bring him here with me while you stayed home with Mom. This is to keep your clothes from getting oil and grease on them."

"I don't wanna wear it," Sam whined. He hated Dean's hand-me-downs.

"And I don't want your mom to kill me because your shirt gets ruined."

Sam surrendered. He put on the jumpsuit while John changed into his. The two went out back to the garage to meet with Ben.

"Whadda we got?" John asked.

"Old man Jenkins dropped his car off for his usual."

John grabbed a bucket of cleaning products off a shelf and pointed to the car. "Go nuts."

Sam took the bucket and ran over to the car. He dumped all the cleaning products out and inspected them. He settled on the bottle of window cleaner and a rag and started spraying and wiping the car while John popped the hood open.

"Hey Sam, wanna go for a ride?" Sam looked at his dad confused. John smiled back at him. "Close the door and stay seated."

Sam closed the passenger door of the window he was cleaning. John walked over to a button on the wall and pushed it, causing the lift the car was sitting on to slowly rise. It startled Sam but he loved it as it went up. It felt like a roller coaster. John only let it go up a few inches, just enough for him to slide underneath. "Be careful if you step out."

Sam wiggled around in the car cleaning the rest of the windows as John changed out the oil on the vehicle. When he was done, he walked back over to the button on the wall. "Going down!" The car landed on the ground with a thud and Sam laughed from the landing.

Dean laid on his stomach on his bed scribbling equations in his notebook. It seemed like no matter what he did, he could not get his brain to work.

"Knock knock," Mary sang, opening his bedroom door. "Whatcha doing?"

"Homework."

Mary smacked her hand on Dean's desk. "You know we got you this for a reason, right?"

Dean ignored her.

Mary sat in his desk chair and wheeled over to the bed. "Wanna take a break and do something?"

Dean bit his lip and blushed. "I can't. I kinda fell behind in math. I have a bunch to catch up on."

"Oh. Anything I can help with?"

Dean scoffed. "Not unless you know how to solve quadratic equations."

Mary turned Dean's textbook towards her to take a look. "Well, I was pretty good at math. I'm sure I could give it a try."

Dean sighed. He didn't want her to help but he was desperate.

"I'm not doing it in here though," Mary gestured to the room. "It smells weird. I'll be downstairs if you want my help."

Mary left Dean's room, closing the door behind her. She went downstairs to make snacks, knowing he would come down. Sure enough, she heard footsteps shuffling down the stairs to the kitchen.

Mary sat down at the table with a bag of trail mix and two cups of soda. Dean set his homework items and sat next to her.

"Alright, what do we need to do?"

"Solve for the missing letter by plugging it into the equation."

"Sounds easy enough. What are you caught up on?"

"It's a really long equation," Dean admitted sheepishly. "I forget some of the steps."

Mary pointed to the textbook. "Well, we'll do as much as we can together."
