Chapter 4

Disagreements

Aboard the Redeemer, Ironwood was actually smiling for once.

"With Jacques put away and a new CEO appointed by the council. The SDC is on the right track, and now Ms. Schnee, you can return to Atlas Academy!" Ironwood informed her.

"Thanks...but I want to go back to Beacon," Weiss admitted.

Ironwood shook his head and said, "maybe next year, but for now, I need you here. To uphold our image, we need the heiress to the company here with me."

Just then, the Mason twins entered wearing their normal civilian clothes; Charlie said, "that wasn't the deal, James. We have orders from Malcolm to bring her from Beacon."

Ironwood's smile dissolved as he said, "I appreciate your help, but I'm in charge here, and Ms. Schnee is an Atlas student now."

Kelly shook her head and said, "she doesn't have her huntress license yet and thus is not under you or the council's authority. It is her choice, and she has chosen Beacon."

Weiss nodded and began to follow the Mason twins out, only for Ironwood to grab her by the arm and demand, "stay here; that's not a suggestion!"

Then, faster than Ironwood could perceive, Charlie appeared in front of him, putting his hand on Ironwood's right peck. There was a sparking sound before Ironwood fell to his knees, lopsided and too weak to stand.

"What did you…." Ironwood was too furious to finish his sentence.

"Drained the electricity from all of your cybernetics aside from the ones in your chest," Charlie explained. However, he was careful not to target the cybernetics that acted as Ironwood's replacement organs.

Kelly sighed at her brother's forceful decision, she planned on simply leaving without an altercation, but Ironwood had made that impossible. Charlie made the right call, but she didn't have to like it.

All the other soldiers were too in shock to stop the Mason twins from leaving. Then, a few minutes later, a Bullhead took off.

Ironwood's face was full of rage as a few soldiers helped him up and carried him to the medical bay.

Team JNPR and Ruby were practicing in the Beacon training room when Zander entered and said, "come with me. There's an essential briefing I need you at."

The five teens shrugged and followed Zander up to Ozpin's tower, where Qrow, Glynda, and a new boy were waiting.

"This is Oscar Pine, but he's not quite your average boy," Zander began.

Oscar nodded with a sad look on his face and said, "just do you know, I'll still be here."

Oscar's body flashed green, causing the five students to gasp as Oscar took a more formal stance and pulled out the Long Memory, leaning on the cane in front of him.

"It is so very good to see you again, students," Oscar said, but his voice sounded much wiser and more formal.

Jaune gave a confused look and said, "wait a minute, who are you?"

Oscar smiled and said, "you know me as Professor Ozpin."

Everyone gasped, save for Pyrrha, who seemed to be studying the boy intently as she said, "I knew something seemed familiar about you the second I saw you."

Ozpin chuckled and replied, "that would be the Maiden's power sensing me; after all, I have a long history with them."

"This isn't making any more sense, so are you Ozpin but younger, or is this some sort of possession or time, Travel?!" Nora stated in her usually hyperactive tone.

Ozpin nodded and replied, "fair enough; it's nice to see you haven't lost your enthusiasm, Ms. Valkyrie."

For the next few minutes, Ozpin told them his history, being cursed by the gods for failing to stop Salem and that he was the one to create the original four maidens. Then after explaining the existence of four relics underneath the academies and how he reincarnated, Qrow spoke.

"In three weeks, the students leave Haven for summer break. That's when we will go and get Leo's key to the vault. No key means it's safe even if Salem gets the spring maiden." Qrow explained.

Glynda then stood up and said, "Qrow, Oscar, and the five of you will go just in case."

Everyone nodded, then Zander said, "I need to speak to Ozpin alone, my dad's orders."

Everyone gave Zander a strange look, but he said, "just a few minutes. My dad had some specific things to discuss with Oz and Mr. Arc?"

Jaune gave a curious look and said, "me?"

"Yes, you, I used Charlie's blade design to make some parts with technology here. Tomorrow we will see to getting you a new blade," Zander revealed; after his bout with Lupin, Jaune had been forced to use a simple backup sword during training. Zander had been analyzing Crocea Mars's shattered pieces and decided that it would be an ideal sword to be upgraded with a high-frequency blade like Charlie's.

After everyone left, Ozpin turned to the disguised Latios and asked, "what do you have to say that the others can't be included in?"

Zander's happy face faded immediately as he warned, "I know your whole history with Salem Ozpin, and it's high time you tell everyone the whole truth!"

Ozpin gave a nervous look, clutching his cane tighter as he said, "what do you mean?"

"You know exactly what I mean, Ozma, and if you're going to keep asking them to risk their lives for you, they should know about your relationship with Salem and where you got the inspiration for the Maidens. I'll give you the chance to come clean, but after Haven's vault is secured, you will tell them everything, or my dad will come and do it for you," Zander warned before turning intangible and flying out of the tower.

There was another green flash, and Oscar took back over, asking Ozpin, "what does he mean by your relationship with Salem?"

Ozpin was silent inside Oscar's head…

Three bandits escorted Yang to the center of the camp, and surely enough, Raven was waiting for her.

"So after all this time, you've finally come to visit me!" Raven said in an almost sarcastic voice.

Yang's eyes flashed red but turned back to violet as she said, "I searched for you for so long, and that's your response? There's nothing you can say to make up for that. So I want to know why you left me, and that's it"

Raven gave a curious look, and after a few seconds of silence, she said, "fair enough, come inside, and I'll explain everything…."

Author's note- Slower chapter, getting some things done

1. Yang's meeting with her mom will go very differently...

2. two more chapters then the battle of Haven begins, hopefully, it will be more interesting to you all than Volume 5 was to me, which was the most boring part of the show.

Next time- Nia follows Blake as she meets up with a certain Chameleon Faunus, and since they are going to more effectively ambushed, will need her help!
