Chapter 7

Decimation

Ironwood and Glynda were holograming into Z's Lab as the warship arrived in orbit.

Just then, Damien appeared on the holographic display with a smug look on his face.

"Headmistress Goodwich, General Ironwood…and Z, the lost Zororark..it is a pleasure to see you all…I am Damien Gal.." the shadow collective general was cut off by ironwood.

"We know who you are..why are you calling us?" Ironwood demanded.

"I am in command of enough firepower to wipe you and the entire continent off the map in seconds, but as I am in a good mood, I will make you an offer. Tell me the password for the relic of knowledge and I will withdraw" Damien offered.

"Even if I believed you'd keep your word, that isn't going to happen" Glynda stated firmly.

Damien nodded and said "as you wish, but before I begin my attack, I wish to show you the destructive power I command'

His headpiece glowed and the front of his ship opened open, which Z was still keeping an eye on. The front panels peeled away to reveal a massive cannon, the size of a skyscraper.

After charging up for a few seconds, the beam fired towards the moon. In a massive explosion of blood-red energy, the backside of the moon was destroyed. All of the debris that floated around it for centuries was gone, and the moon was now missing one-fourth of its shape on both sides.

Ironwood and Glynda were awestruck..too stunned to speak, Yang fell off the table in shock before flapping back on top of the table, while Z was scowling at Damien.

"Now that I have your attention, know this, I gave you a chance to save lives….farewell" Damien taunted before his hologram vanished.

Up in space, Damien charged up the beam again, and just before the main cannon fired, a green portal appeared in front of the earth.

Zander flew out of it in his Latios form, with a breathing mask over his mouth. While the Latios was more than tough enough to survive in a vacuum, he still needed air.

A massive green shield appeared between Zander and the beam, as it hit, the energy pooled within it. Zander concentrated, sweat floating off him from the strain before he managed to send the beam right back.

Damien tried to raise the shields as the beam flew back at him, but it was too late, the beam went right back up the barrel and destroyed the main cannon. While the rest of the ship was unharmed thanks to Damien raising the shields, his most powerful armament was crippled.

Zander activated both of his eye traits and created a more fortified shield over the planet, hundreds of miles across. The extra power from his eyes was key, and it took all of his concentration to maintain it, but without his main cannon, Damien would not be able to break through it easily. Just then two more pokemon flew out of the portal behind him before it closed, ones that Damien recognized all too well.

The first was a black, bipedal Pokémon resembling a dragon or dinosaur, with dark patches on various portions of its body. It had red sclerae, white irises, and black pupils, as well as a small horn-like protrusion on the tip of its snout. Its head sported a thundercloud-like crest tipped with light-blue coloration. There were six pairs of pointed teeth visible when its mouth was open, two in the upper jaw and four in the lower. At the base of its neck was a black, stud-like feature, and atop its shoulders were similar, larger features resembling armor padding. The bases of its wings also had such padding, and a fanned, splayed, seemingly webbed shape with a small "wing-spike" on one edge. The lower lengths of it's arms extenuated into splayed, seemingly webbed, somewhat baseball-mitt-like formations, with three-clawed, dark-colored hands on the undersides. The dragon's tail consisted of a large, round, conical, and spiked formation, likened to an electricity generator, with a black inner portion and bands on the tip of the outside portion. This tail produced energy for its attacks and emitted its own anti-gravity field, allowing him to fly through space without issue. Like some powerful legendary pokemon, it didn't need oxygen to breathe.

The other dragon was a white, bipedal Pokémon with draconic, avian, and mammalian traits. A long, voluminous wispy mane streamed out from the upper side of the snout and outwards from its head. The top of this mane was adorned with two protrusions, which resembled ears. Its face was fringed with spiky features, and it had a small, pointed extension below the chin. Its eyes had blue irises and black pupils. There were two pairs of pointed teeth visible when its mouth is open, one in the upper jaw and one in the lower. The white dragon also had a long and slender neck, with a fluffy, collar-like protrusion jutting out of two gray, glass-like neckbands. Its arms begin slender and arm-like but then flared out into a more wing-like appearance, sporting four claws that resembled hands on the leading edge. Long feather-like protrusions jut out of its thighs. On its feet were large gray claws, three at the front and one positioned at the back, resembling high heels. Its tale was also conical and shaped like a generator.

Damien's face was nothing but fury as he said "black and white nuisances.."

Glynda and Ironwood were unsure of what to be more shocked at, Zander stopping the beam or the new arrivals. They looked to Z for an explanation as he said "Nathan Aldrich and Alisa Hall. Both of them are from earth 161 and became legendary pokemon just like Damien. If you wanted some firepower…they're the best answer"

Ironwood and Glynda gave a sigh of relief, they clearly had a chance to win now, and the evacuations of Vale were nearly complete. Even Yang, despite her beak still hanging open, was clearly a little more relaxed.

Z shook his head and replied, "it's not over yet…and Id wager that Zander won't be able to keep this up for more than 30 minutes, but they'll buy time for the team warping inside.."

Author's note- and thus begins the final battle of Volume 6

1. The moon in RWBY is only missing it's corner on one side, that's canon by the way

2. Nathan and Alisa are also from the cancelled story, "12 Hours", while the story unfortunantly fell apart, it's good to see them again
