The following day, we left for home after we had breakfast at the hotel. On the way, I was feeling carsick. I got water with me and I had some.

"Are you feeling okay? " asked Kayla.

"Just little carsick, but I'll be fine," I said.

"That's normal after the surgery," said Dad.

"Probably," I said.

"Want to take the front seat when we stop halfway?" asked Dad.

"I think that would help her," said Sharon.

We stopped for gas in Virginia and we switched while we were there. Even though I was still carsick, I made out fine. We stopped in New York so I can take a breather. Sharon was worried I'd get sicker by the time we get home. I felt a bit dizzy.

"Will that be the side effect from the pain killers?" I asked.

"Good question," said Sharon.

"I wasn't like that the other day at the Magic Kingdom," I said.

"I know," said Dad.

"It could've been from the surgery, too," said Kayla. "I know how that felt. I had my appendix out long before I met you and it effected me for awhile. I would get carsick. My doctor told me it would happen."

I didn't think of that. She might be right.

"Thank goodness it's summer so you won't have to worry about missing school," added Kaylee.

"I agree," I said.

I went to bed a bit early so I can feel better when we leave here tomorrow.

"We don't need to get up early anyway since we're not far from Stoneybrook," said Dad.

"Stopping here was the best thing for Mary Anne," said Sharon.

The next day, I was feeling better to go back home.

"Do you still want the front seat to be on the safe side?" asked Dad.

"I think so," I said.

That was better than being carsick again. Thankfully, that helped me. We got home before lunchtime. We ate at Friendly's on the way. We went in our driveway after that.

"We had a fun time for the past several weeks," said Kayla.

"Me, too," said Kaylee.

"We should do that more often," said Kayla.

"I agree," said Kaylee.

"Same here," I said.

They went home. At home, we unpacked.

"You might as well take it slow for a bit," said Dad.

"I thought about it," I said.

Carlos got back a week later and told us about his experience at the baseball camp.
