Chapter 1: Terrible Treatment.
POV: Thomas.
Blood oozed from my nose as I sat on the ground, gazing helplessly at Geoffrey, the guy in red who often punches me.
"Thinking you can be at all smooth with the girls, Thomas?" He asked slyly as a few giggles were heard from behind him. "Your brother Tim-Tim isn't here to save your pathetic arse, squirt. He'd be dead, remember?"
I could only shudder more as Geoffrey raised his arm again for another throw.
"Get him good, Geoffrey!" Said one of the girls behind him.
"Yeah! Show him who's boss!"
With a throw of the punch, Geoffrey broke my nose even more and even broke a few of my ribs after a kick.
As I then gazed at the sky, with my vision blacking out, I shedded a few tears as my brother returned to my thoughts.
"Why did you have to die, Timothy?" I muttered before passing out.
My name is Thomas Billinton and I was a newly starting Senior student in my high school of Brighton. Before my brother died, I had quite a few friends and wasn't bullied by too many, except Geoffrey, but that said, it all changed when Timothy died from a car accident that was absolutely horrific. With knowing that my brother being the only factor preventing them picking on me was now gone, everyone began to show their true colors, and basically made it a sport and contest at who could inflict the most damage on me first which pretty much meant constant visits to the nurse's office and a hospital visit once a month causing the my parents to be working extra time so they could pay the bills. This factor made the me feel so much like a burden that I nearly took my own life.
As I then opened my eyes, I grunted and groaned as I found myself in an all too familiar place and felt like strangling my own neck for coming back alive at all.
"Darn it." I muttered and was just moments away from belittling myself, when something on the TV caught my attention. "Someone put on Lady Stone's performance on my TV?" I grunted as a nurse came in.
"Yes they have." She replied. "Your parents told me how much you love her singing."
"Uh... yeah." I sighed as I felt the heat of blush come across my cheeks in embarrassment. "Anyway, is this a new one? I don't think I've seen this one before."
"I think it's a live one." The nurse complied. "From what I know she's preforming in a few places across the UK before returning to Sodor on her massive tour. There's no real order in the places she's going to go, so what she chooses next is on her."
"She likes to do things a bit more of a unique way." I explained. "She says that in an interview or two while also stating that if she could do any charity performances she would."
"Sounds to me that you're more than just a simple fan." Remarked the nurse, making me blush again.
"I-I may have a slight crush on her." I admitted. "She's just so beautiful and a-amazing as a singer. Even more so knowing the fact that she's the same age as me."
"Really?!" The nurse exclaimed in shock. "Wow. She might go for you if you ask her out."
"I doubt it." I sighed. "She's probably already got a significant other out there. A-and I don't think that she'll ever come to Brighton."
And it was at that did ironic happened.
"Thank you! Thank you all for coming!" Lady said as me and my nurse then looked through the screen. "Now, my next stop in this tour will be Brighton. So please wish me luck everyone."
As the crowd on the screen cheered, I just stared at the screen, feeling surprised. Lady, my crush and the teenage idol I love listening to, was coming to Brighton. A performance within MY reach. As I then looked at the nurse, a sly smile was across her face.
"You were saying..."
"Oh stop it!" I grumbled. "Besides, even if I did have a chance, I doubt that my family has the money or will to take me to see her concert. My luck is just that horrible!"
The nurse, wisely nodding, probably got the message that it would be best to not push the subject further, for it might make me even more upset. She then began to check on my injuries which had been healing for a week now. As she did, I knew little at how great my luck was going to be as my parents sat on a computer, purchasing a surprise for me.
To be continued...
