Chapter 9: The Date.

POV: Thomas.

After I had bought a fresh set of clothes, Lady and I went back to her hotel room, where I quickly took a shower, and got changed.

I thought back to the moment when Geoffrey entered into the shop, and couldn't help but be ponder on his mother's claim, as well as what I saw in my recent dream.

"Is she right?" I thought. "Will Lady be Geoffrey's in the end?"

Though I didn't know, one thing was for sure. Geoffrey and his mother were out to get me. Constantly seeing me as the bad guy.

As I then slid on my shoes, I stepped out of the bathroom, with all of my newly purchased clothes upon me.

"Hey! You look great!" Lady commented, as I cracked a smile.

"Thanks." I replied. "You too."

Lady just giggled sweetly as she grasped my hand.

"Come on Thomas, we have to go now."

"Right." I said in response, still unsure if Lady was going to dump me at a point or not.

POV: Lady.

As I followed Thomas to the Brighton Palace Pier, I never felt so excited in my life. I was on a date, and a real one at that.

As we then reached towards the beach area, I never once let go of his hand. It took a bit, but eventually, we made it to the amusement park.

Grabbing the map that he got from a staff member, Thomas showed it to me, as I gasped in amazement at the number of things to do here.

"Okay, Lady. Which one first?"

"Ooh... This is pretty tough. Hmm..." My finger then pointed at a roller-coaster when he happily obliged.

(A/N: I haven't been to the amusement park in Brighton, so I literally have ZERO idea on what they precisely have for rides. So IF I put down a piece of false information on a coaster, then please let me know in a kind and polite manner.)

For the next few hours, Thomas and I rode rides, played games, and even tried out some of their treats. Eventually, we grew tired, and so decided to have some lunch.

"Oh golly... This date has been so fun." I sighed in remark. "Say Thomas, want to go on a few rides again after lunch?"

"After at least an hour since lunch has passed." He replied. "No riding until our food is digested."

"Oh, shoot, right!" I muttered, realizing the repercussions of riding the wrong ride moments after eating.

I was just about to ask Thomas something else, when a sturdy random teen of our age came up and held Thomas by his collar.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" My boyfriend barked, as the teen glared at him.

"What are YOU doing? Swanking about with THE Lady Stone as if she was you're girlfriend? Are you being dumb here?"

"No.." Thomas grunted in reply. "Because she IS my girlfriend, you idiot?!"

"Really?" The teen then scoffed. "Then I bet she'll prefer a strong guy like ME, rather than a wimpy punk like you."

"THAT'S IT!" I yelled as I then stomped the ground as I lost my patience. "It's one thing to crush on me as a fan while being jealous that Thomas is the one I chose, but it's another when you pick on him, claiming that I'll dump him upon the moment I see you! So do yourself a favor and get your hands off of him!"

But the idiot just sneered.

"Aw come on, sweetheart. Don't you want..."

"WAM!"

"Don't you dare sweetheart me, mister!" I said darkly as I glanced at the man picking on my Thomas. "Just because you're a fan of me, doesn't immediately make me a fan of YOU and your stuck up rear! Now, do me a favor, leave me and my boyfriend to date in peace, or I'll call my bodyguards!"

"AH! HA! HA! Okay! Okay! I'm going! I'm Going!"

"Jerk." I scoffed as I watch the idiot run away. "Serves him right for being nasty towards my lover." I then muttered to myself as I turned heel. "I'm not one to cheat. That imbecile."

As I then looked at Thomas, I found him looking more glum than hurt, which one again activated my loving girlfriend mode. I kneeled down to his level so I could speak to him face to face, as any good couple would.

"Hey. Are you okay?" I asked, making sure that there were on injuries that I couldn't see. "He didn't break any of your bones did he?"

No reply came from him, as tears flowed from his eyes. Wisely I kept my mouth shut for from how he looked Thomas was about let his inner feelings lose, which I very much needed to hear. To my shock, it was something I'd never expected to hear.

"He's right." He said solemnly. "That guy is right. Once you find someone, stronger, bigger and better than, you're going to dump me for them. Just like the last two girls who I dated, who humiliated me for that son of a mutt, Geoffrey. Because of how weak I am, because of how pathetic and short I am, EVERYONE will abandon me. No-one will be by my side."

"He's been dumped in that situation before." I gasped in my thoughts. "Where a bigger stronger guy came in, and the girls in question trade sweetness for total brawn and stupidity. Because of that, he's scared of losing me in a situation of such type as well."

Now knowing what was making him upset, I moved myself closer towards Thomas, and preceded to caress his cheek lovingly.

"I'm not going to leave you, Thomas." I cooed. "I'm going to stay by your side no matter what, you hear? You deserve.. no. Need someone's love. And it's my love you'll receive. I love you, and nothing will change that. Got it?"

He slowed nodded as I then brought him into an embrace, his hand upon my back, clearly not want to be torn away from me. He did love me, and that's what mattered.

POV: Thomas.

After calming down by Lady's loving embrace, she and I went on a few more rides until we had enough. By the time we were heading back to her hotel room, the sun was beginning to set, and were walking for a portion of the journey.

The stroll was silent for us, and I had a lot on my mind. Lady's words still echoed through my thoughts, making me question if I'm actually lucky. Feeling like that I needed to ask her, I stopped walking at an alley, where she did too, clearly understanding the gesture.

"Lady..." I began. "Did you mean it? Did you mean it when you said that you'll stay by my side?"

A smile came across her face as she pulled a small box from her purse. Handing it to me, she gave me a look that clearly stated to open it, which I did to reveal a golden necklace that had a charm in a shape of a number one with diamonds and rubies outlining it. An odd thing, but very beautiful thing nevertheless.

I then gazed at my lover, whose smile was all warm and loving. As if I sensed that she was going to state something to me.

"This here is the Number One necklace." She said, looking all with a Sincere glisten within her eyes. "While you were getting a fresh change of clothes, I spotted it at the jewelry section, and funnily enough, something about shouted you. I spoke to the woman who was working there, and she told me how it was over looked by many customers for it's odd design, and how it was transferred from shop to shop, with one purchasing it or willing to see it's purpose. For you see, the number one necklace is to be purchased and be given to the buyer's 'Number one'. The only single necklace of it's own kind, for one's only special someone. A way to say, that you'll never leave their side no matter what life throws at you. So with that said, Thomas..." She then paused impressively. "I meant every word. I'll never leave you, and I'll stay by your side. Every action I have, every step I make with you will be out of love, and love for you."

Tears flowed from my eyes, as I felt a smile crack between my lips. Lady's words in this moment were absolutely sincere, and honest. Making me feel with such relief and joy.

Placing the necklace around my neck, I embraced Lady, trying my best to not have any of my tears fall upon her.

"Thank you, Lady." I said as she embraced me back. "I'll cherish it. This necklace you gave me, and always wear it."

"I know you will." She replied as she brought my head facing toward her's. "Because you're not the kind to simply cheat or lie like those two idiots who had no idea whom they're throwing aside. I love you Thomas, and I WILL find away for us to stay together even after my departure."

I couldn't help but smile more as I then nuzzled Lady's cheek with her giggling sweetly at my gesture.

"Gosh, I love her so much." I thought as I then grasped her hand and walked with her back to her hotel room.

And no, we do anything under the term of "IT" for her parents were back and so why would we do that while they are there? Whoever does must really have some screws lose.
