Chapter 13: Sodor High.
POV: Thomas.
After that triple date I had with Lady and her friends, my girlfriend and I practiced together in our talents as well as help me with getting my voice to a professional level. School was approaching us soon, and I had to get a few more things before I consider myself ready. Eventually, with Lady's help along with the assistance I got from Percy and James, I was all set for the remainder of my senior year at Sodor High.
As I stepped into the halls for the first time, I was amazed at how bigger and grander it was compared to my initial school in Brighton. Not to mention the warm greetings I've received from the staff and other students as I entered, which really swept any feelings of fear I had got from the initial days. But with that said, not all of the students were nice.
"Come on Gordon! Just give me your lunch money, and then I'm off!"
"No! It's mine! I had enough with your antics, Felix! For once in your life just leave me alone!"
"Nope! And it's sure a pity! For a big tough guy who's so good in PE to be just a softie! Makes it all the less fun in beating you up."
"THAT IS ENOUGH!" I then bellowed out of pure rage. "I don't care what your deal is or who you are, back off now or face the consequences that the staff may put you under!"
The slightly shorter sturdy guy in blue just scoffed as he eyed darkly at me.
"HA! A squirt like yourself tell me that?! The staff here loves me! They wouldn't care if a guy such as yourself gets destroyed by me! Now! Why don't you mind your own business before I consider bruising you up big time!"
"Bruse?!" I then spouted out before laughing hysterically. "Oh gosh! That's funny! I guess it's clear you really don't know whom you're talking to. Back in my previous school EVERYONE didn't burse me. Oh no! They freaking broke my bones! Sometimes almost to the point of death! If you think that you can scare me with a threat like that, than think again! I have the mental and physical scars to prove it as well as legal documentation. Also!" I continued. "I have been working hard on my self-defense moves and can now take down guys stronger than YOU! If anyone's got to run off now, it's you!"
And gosh, did I feel so satisfied. The guy heeded my warning and dashed off like the coward he was, leaving his target gasping in shock.
"Holy cow! Gosh! That was freaking kick-butt of you!" He then cried out to me. "Thank you."
"Anytime." I replied. "My name is Thomas Billinton. I came from a terrible school within Brighton. I'm not sure if you heard, but they're presently under a deep investigation."
"Well then, it's a good thing I watch the news." The guy I helped replied. "My name's Gordon Greasley. It's nice to meet you, Thomas."
"Same here." I complied. "Say, do you know where Mr. Twofeathers' classroom is? I would've asked my girlfriend, but she's currently in a meeting with a few people assisting her with some things for her performance."
"Sure thing!" Gordon replied cheerfully. "I'm actually part of that class, and out of curiosity, what kind of performance?"
"Crap!" I exclaimed in my thoughts. "I've let that part slip!" I've sighed and regained my composure after realizing my mistake. "Um... I'll get back to you on that. Right now, I have to get to the classroom."
"Right!" Gordon then replied. "I got the message."
As we then departed, I had no idea, that I've caught the attention of a certain stout gentleman. He apparently had heard every single one of my words to Felix and was shockingly enough impressed with my actions, as well as gobsmacked at the portion of my backstory that I had revealed. He walked to his office thoughtfully as I went to my own classroom.
POV: Lady.
Normally in this time of day and this hour, I would be in my classroom with Mr. Twofeathers, however, I was excused for today since I still had a lot of planning for my upcoming performance that needed to be done. Though my family and I do a lot of it, other people are a part of it and once a while argue on how they could get ticket sales to skyrocket or other things that would draw in more fans. Sadly, for me. Some of the suggestions aren't within my preferences or alley.
"Lady! How many times must I tell you?! Change your attire a bit! It may draw in more eyes!"
"Not happening!" I barked back. "I have a policy for modesty, and I'm keeping it. I'm still a minor, remember?! I don't want perverted eyes looking all at me! Besides if you all can just shut the heck up for a moment, I have announcement to make as well as an idea!"
They all stared at me for a moment as I decided to tell them about HIM.
"Recently, I've met someone whom I've actually fallen in love with. And though some of you may question my choices on love interests, let me state that he's actually pretty talented for someone who can be considered as a nobody in the eyes of some and was greatly beaten up in his intail school. He came home with me, and I've been helping him get even better and more confident in his abilities. His voice and ability with a guitar is amazing, and with my help, and the assistance he's going to get from the music teacher here, he's going to be at a point where he can be considered viable enough to be on the same stage as me. I don't give a darn on your negative thoughts, it's my show, and I can say if whether or not he can sing with me! So should any of you not like my decision, deal with it!"
A silence fell across the rest of the group who helped with parts of my massive performances began to look at me with widened eyes and mouths that were practically glued shut. Gradually, the nice couple who help me with my show attire, (Not the idiot who made such the suggestion I greatly hated.) looked on at me with supportive smiles.
"Do, you really mean it, Lady?"
"Yes." I complied. "His name is Thomas Billinton and he's really a sweet boy."
"I see." Spoke the earlier woman's husband. "Well, if he agrees, I'll help him with his own attire for the stage. Tell me, what does he usually like in terms of color scheme."
"Sky blue with red accents." I complied. "Heck, I even gave him a special necklace before he left Brighton with me that I would like to be left on his neck for the symbolism behind it."
"I'll see if that can be arranged." The man then replied to me kindly.
"Whoa! Hold on!" Then spoke one of the people helping me and my family manage my performances. "You can't just let a random guy just come up on stage and sing with you."
"He's no random guy." I then reiterated . "Thomas is my boyfriend. Now zip your mouth or I'll talk to my family about finding a new guy to replace you. I want Thomas to sing with me, nothing is going to change my mind!"
Seeing that I was running very late for classes, I left it at that and ended the meeting right there and then with a slam of the door as I made my exit.
POV: Thomas.
I waited for a bit within my homeroom, as I heard the teacher talk some important information to us. I'm not sure if I had mentioned this, but to ensure that I was with people that she knows she can trust, Lady had set my schedule to coincide with hers so if any bullies try to pick on me, she'd be able to stand up for me, when it gets a bit too much for myself to handle alone. I was honestly grateful for this for it meant that I wouldn't be alone for the whole time.
As I sat and listened to the homeroom teacher, we all suddenly heard the door fly open and a certain golden haired girl that I knew all too well, panting heavily as she stood at the doorway.
"Forgive me for my tardiness, Mr Twofeathers!" She hastily declared in apology. "The other people who assist with my concerts and performances don't always seem to meet eye to eye."
"No, worries needed Ms. Stone." The teacher then said in a kind tone of voice. "Those meetings of yours are mandatory for your career, so I shall not hold it against you. Anyways, I was about to have the introduction of the new student said to the class. You came at an excellent time since he is right at your desk."
"Uh... About that.." Lady then spoke with a nervous look upon her. She glanced over in my direction with a look that clearly stated that she was unsure if she can withhold the truth. I gave her a nod as well as a kind and encouraging smile, which told her that she had the okay to reveal to the class since the fans of her may eventually find out anyway since she plans on having me join up with her in her shows. "I-I already know him, Mr Twofeathers. Ever since I got back to Sodor, he's been a guest at my place."
The other students all looked at me with shock, while a few of the other guys glared at me in clear jealousy. Even with all this sudden attention, I held my ground, trying my absolute hardest to not be imitated. Lady fortunately caught on to this and then shot a very dark glare at the guys scowling at me.
"Ahem!" The very guys with obvious hints of jealousy began to shrink in fear as Lady then decided to take the introduction into her own hands. "Mr Twofeathers, if I may? Please let me make the introductions for the class here. I wish to come clean and be also blunt to those who may... um... err... decide to mistreat him for an unclarified assumption."
"The floor is yours, Lady." The teacher replied, as my girlfriend nodded and began to introduce me to the class.
"Everyone, the new comer of your homeroom is Thomas Billinton. And before you ask, yes, we're in a romantic relationship, and no, we did no, err, screwing about. Now for those who were clearly jealous, Thomas came from a horrible school in Brighton. For his sake, I shall not give any more details, but, should any of you try to lay a finger on him, you all prepare to run when you see me. For I'm not the kind who will take any acts of mistreatment or bullying towards him lightly. I mean it."
I chuckled a bit after seeing the looks of fear upon those who were clearly jealous of me. Lady may be kind and sweet most of the time, but when it comes to people wishing to harm me, she truthfully a dictator. She was certainly a great girlfriend for me, that was for sure.
To be continued...
