A Week Later:

It had been a week since Akio and Moroha, Towa and Setsuna, and Kari had been suspended. They were enjoying their time at the gym with Trunks, Sesshomaru, and Vegeta.

Akio and Moroha enjoyed time with their mother when she decided not to send them with the guys. But Kagome did enjoy her free time and not having to worry about if she was going to get called into the daycare.

When the day was over, and Trunks dropped Akio and Moroha off, he said that all the kids had behaved just fine.

Flashback:

Day 1: Monday:

"Daddy, why we at Gampa's gym?" Kari innocently asked, confused when they entered the gym.

"Because you got suspended from daycare and I can't leave you home alone. Hey dad…" Trunks explained to Kari and then saw his father.

"Hi. How's my little princess?" Vegeta asked, looking at Kari.

Vegeta loves Kari very much, and he would do anything for her. But he still thinks that Trunks is incredibly stupid for falling for his teacher's drama and getting her pregnant.

He will always love Trunks, but they don't really speak unless Bulma makes them.

"Gampa!" Kari whined, embarrassed, sitting in Trunks's arms.

"She has some new friends." Trunks told Vegeta.

"Oh, really now? Who are these children?" Vegeta asked, looking at Trunks.

"Akio and Moroha Higurashi; they are the four-year-old son and three-year-old daughter of Kagome Higurashi and Inuyasha Ikashi. The other two are Sesshomaru's twin daughters, Towa and Setsuna. Kari's been talking about them the entire way here." Trunks answered.

Just then, Kagome walked in with Akio and Moroha. Sesshomaru, Towa, and Setsuna were in shortly after.

"Here you go. Are you sure this is ok?" Kagome asked as Akio and Moroha walked in.

"Yeah, it's fine. I called my dad earlier; he said as long as they behave, listen, and stay out of trouble, it wouldn't be a problem." Trunks replied.

"Ok. I'll be back in a few hours to pick you two up. Behave." Kagome told Akio and Moroha before leaving—not really knowing what to do.

"This place is cool." Towa stated, looking around.

"Stay with the other kids." Sesshomaru told Towa and Setsuna before walking to his new station.

"So, Akio and a bunch of girls… Kari, give them the rules." Vegeta put Kari in charge, looking at his granddaughter.

"White! No touchy da maseens up front; we use da older ones in back, but we MUST be careful. Stay out peoples' ways. And if we need anyting, to leave Daddy and your daddy alone and get Gampa instead. Oh, and stay out of da basement; Gampa's naughty stuff is dare." Kari explained, mispronouncing a few words as most three-year-olds do.

"Ok, that's enough of that. Just go play—in the back." Vegeta told the kids, embarrassed.

"Ok. Come on." Kari happily instructed, dragging Akio to the back while the others ran behind them.

That afternoon they spent jumping up and down on the stepper machine.

Towa and Moroha took turns on the treadmill—running onto it, only be thrown off backward. Surprisingly enough, they were never hurt and just kept going.

Setsuna did play, but for the most part, she walked on one of the treadmills.

Two Hours Later:

"I'm hungry… But Daddy forgot my lunch at the daycare place…" Kari mumbled, holding her stomach.

"So did our parents…" Akio and Moroha mumbled.

"Dad left ours in the car—before we got into Daycare." Towa stated.

"I'll be right back." Kari told the others, getting up; she ran out to the main area.

"Daddy?" Kari softly asked; he was on his break.

"Yes, what is it baby?" Trunks kindly asked.

"You swore earlier. Akio and Moha and Towa and Setsuna and I is hungy. can I has my two dollars now?" Kari softly answered and then asked.

"Shoot. I forgot your lunch, didn't I?" Trunks asked, looking at Kari.

"Yes…" Kari mumbled.

"Ok. Go find out if they want milk, orange juice, apple juice, or grape juice and then come back." Trunks told Kari.

"Yes, Daddy." Kari replied before running back to the others.

"She's back!" Moroha happily announced.

"Does you like milk, orange juice, apple juice, or gape juice?" Kari asked, looking at the others.

They answered, and she ran back to Trunks, leaving them confused.

"Whoa there… Slow down. Breathe. Did they tell you what they liked?" Trunks told Kari when she came running over. Once she calmed down, he asked her if she knew what they wanted.

"Uh-huh… Akio wants orange juice. Moha wants apple juice. Towa and Setsuna want gape juice." Kari answered.

"And let me guess… You want orange juice?" Trunk asked, looking at Kari.

"Yeah. How you know?" Kari asked with a big smile.

"Oh, I just know you well enough. Come on; let's get you something to eat." Trunks told Kari before instructing.

Ten Minutes Later:

Akio, Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna were sitting on a treadmill when Kari came back, pulling a small wagon with drinks, sandwiches, paper plates, and chocolate chip cookies.

Trunks had to go back to work, so he found an old wagon and had her take everything that way.

"Where did you get all that food?" Moroha excitedly asked with stars in her eyes.

"Daddy taked me to da maseen wit food and juice. Daddy said bad word dis moaning; I was gonna get two dollars. But Daddy bought the food for us, so I'll has to pay him back—but dats otay." Kari happily told them, slightly out of breath.

"You get money for swearing?" Akio asked, confused.

"No; I get moneys eby time Daddy swears. He said da "SH" word dis moaning, so I get two dollars. The "F" word get me five dollars; he says that and the "D" word a lot." Kari explained.

"I wish my parents did that." Akio said, looking at the food.

"I sowee… Do day say bad words lots?" Kari asked, struggling to open her sandwich.

"Give me that…please." Setsuna told Kari, holding her hand out; she was going to open the sandwich for her.

"Do you want your juice open?" Towa asked, looking at Kari.

"Yes, pease. Tank you." Kari thanked Towa after Setsuna handed her her sandwich.

"Our dad does; mom doesn't—or at least not around us." Akio asked after explaining.

"Daddy says too many bad words—specially when he yells at Mommy." Moroha added before drinking her juice.

"Daddy don't like say bad words round me; he doesn't want me say bad words. Do you say bad words?" Kari asked as Akio got his stuff open.

"A little… When mom's not around; she'd kill me if she heard me swearing." Akio answered.

"I don't say swears." Moroha proudly stated.

"We don't say bad words either. Dad always seems to know if we do." Setsuna stated.

"We get our butts paddled if we even just think of a swear word." Towa added.

"Oh." Kari replied, unsure of what to say.

"Thank you for the food and juice." Akio, Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna all thanked Kari.

"You're welcome." Kari replied with a smile.

After they were done eating, Akio and the girls sat in the center of the room in a circle.

"Is this ok?" Kari softly asked after leaning against Akio; Moroha was on his other side, leaning against him.

"Ye-yeah." Akio stuttered, suddenly nervous. He was used to Moroha laying on him, but not a girl he didn't know.

'I feel safe with Akio—like with daddy. I also feel safe with Moroha, Towa and Setsuna. I don't understand why others are so mean to and don't want to be friends with them; they're all very nice.' Kari thought to herself, slowly falling asleep.

'Yay! A new friend!' Moroha happily thought before passing out and falling backward after Kari.

'What is this feeling? Nobody has ever liked me before—let alone a girl. Actually, most girls are afraid of me. But not this girl; she wants to be friends. I've been in that daycare for a year now and I haven't had one single friend. Moroha's my sister and Towa and Setsuna are my cousins—they're family; they don't count. I mean, they gave me someone to hang out with, but I've always been fine by myself—or with family… But now that I have a girl who wants to be my friend—I couldn't imagine not having a friend. And she wants to be friends with Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna as well. It seems they want to be her friend as well. I just hope we can keep her as a friend.' Akio thought to himself; he fell asleep shortly after Kari did.

"It's nice to have a new friend—outside of our cousins." Towa told Setsuna as they leaned against each other.

"Yes, I agree. And she's not fake; she's genuine. I think she and Akio are going to be the best of friends though." Setsuna stated with a smile before they drifted off to sleep.

Two Hours Later:

After a few hours, Kagome showed up at the gym—and she was not happy.

"Is everything ok?" Trunks asked, concerned.

"What's going on?" Sesshomaru asked, walking over; his shift just ended.

"No I am not ok. I'm sorry; I don't mean to snap at any of you. It's just—I came to get Akio and Moroha when I spotted Inuyasha—with Kikyo." Kagome explained.

"Kikyo?" Trunks asked, confused. It was clear she knew who her children's father was cheating on her with.

"Kikyo was Inuyasha's first girlfriend; they have a son together. Why her of all people? Sure, I'd be mad and break up with him if he were seeing someone else. But with Kikyo? That hurts. Her of all people… I'm sorry; I shouldn't be spewing all this to you. But anyway… I'm just here to collect my children. They're probably starving; we forgot their lunches at the daycare." Kagome poured out her emotions before stating, holding up three lunchboxes.

"They ate. Kari came to me, saying they were hungry and thirsty—and that they didn't have their lunches from daycare. They all had a turkey and ham sandwich with cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes—unless they picked those off. They had juice of some sort, and a cookie. But thank you for grabbing Kari's lunch as well." Trunks answered, looking at Kagome.

"What will you do now?" Sesshomaru asked, looking at Kagome.

"Well, before I came here and caught them; I ran over to and yelled at Inuyasha and told him we were over and that he had to find somewhere else to live. My mom and grandpa bought me the house after I had Moroha. Even though it's under my name and everything, I insisted on paying them rent so that I could pay them back somehow. Although, that might be a bit difficult now that I kicked Inuyasha out; he paid all the bills and such so that I could use my backpay from the lawsuit years ago to pay rent. That's all going to have to go bills and food. Guess I'll have to try to get a job." Kagome answered.

"Well, you can do it. You seem like a strong, independent woman. And you're certainly an amazing mother." Trunks told Kagome with a smile.

Kagome could tell he wasn't hitting on her. He understood her; he was a single parent too.

"Thank you." Kagome thanked with a smile.

"The kids were good? I didn't need to be called over." Sesshomaru stated, looking at Trunks.

"They were all very well behaved. Unless they had to use the bathroom, they stayed in the back room. As I said before, Kari came out for food and something to drink." Trunks answered.

"Heh. So that woman has no clue how to handle the children." Sesshomaru groaned.

"It seems that way. They were all good and played together just fine. None of them bullied Kari. Kari just wanted to play with them. They all seemed to get along and had a good time." Trunks again replied.

"Where are they anyway? It seems quiet." Kagome noted, looking at Trunks and Sesshomaru.

"I don't know; they've been rather quiet for the last few hours." Trunks admitted, looking around.

"If you mean the tiny terrors; they're asleep in the back." Vegeta spoke up, walking by.

"Ok…" Trunks and Kagome replied, unsure, while Sesshomaru grunted as they started walking to the back.

"Awww!" Kagome cooed when they saw the kids.

· Akio was lying on his back with his arms above his head.

· Moroha was lying with her head on Akio's shoulder.

· Kari was lying with her head and arm across Akio's stomach.

· Towa and Setsuna were lying against a treadmill, leaning into each other.

"I guess that's cute." Sesshomaru spoke, watching the kids.

"What are you smoking? They're all absolutely adorable! What do you think, Trunks?" Kagome asked, looking from the kids to Sesshomaru to Trunks.

"They're all adorable—except Akio; he's more of a handsome little fellow. Clearly, I don't have a son, but I know from experience that most little boys don't like being called cute. As adorable them sleeping is, it's time I get Kari home." Trunks answered Kagome before stating, going to pick Kari up.

"Good point." Kagome stated with a smile as Sesshomaru picked Towa and Setsuna up by the back of their shirts; they woke up, giggling.

Akio and Moroha woke up when they heard Towa and Setsuna laughing.

Kari, on the other hand, didn't wake up until Trunks lifted her off Akio.

"Mmmm… Daddy?" Kari asked, confused as Trunks picked her up.

"Hi, Baby; it's time to go home now." Trunks told Kari, carefully putting her over his shoulder.

"Ok. Bye-bye Akio and Moha and Towa and Setsuna." Kari softly bid farewell to the others, laying her head on Trunks's shoulder.

"Bye." Akio, Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna replied, waving back.

Day 5: Friday:

"Well, today is our last day. Are you ready to go back to daycare on Monday?" Trunks and Kagome asked with smiles while Sesshomaru stared, arms folded over his chest.

Neither Trunks nor Sesshomaru worked the weekends.

"No…" All five children replied.

"Why not?" Trunks, Kagome, and Sesshomaru asked—even though they were sure they knew the answers.

"That place sucks." That was Akio and Setsuna's answer.

"The people there suck. And Ms. Hale smells like old, moldy butt cheese." Towa answered, making Trunks and Kagome laugh; Sesshomaru just smirked a little.

"The other kids and Ms. Hale are dillholes!" Moroha came out and shouted, making Trunks and even Sesshomaru chuckle a little; Kagome was too stunned to say anything.

"I wanna stay here with you and Gampa." Kari cried, upset.

For some reason, Akio hated seeing Kari cry or even just sad.

Trunks was about to say something when Vegeta walked over.

"As much as I love seeing you every day, we can't have kids running around here all the time. Granted, yes, you five have all been surprisingly well behaved; this isn't a place for kids." Vegeta calmly told Kari.

"Yes, Gampa." Kari mumbled, walking away.

Akio followed after Kari first, followed by Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna.

"I love that girl to death, but she needs to understand you have to work and she can't be with you twenty-four/seven." Vegeta told Trunks.

"Yes, Dad; I know…" Trunks sighed, watching as Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna run back and forth, playing. At the same time, Kari sat on the floor, crying with Akio trying to comfort her.

"I think those two are going to end up dating when they're older." Kagome chimed in with a dreamy smile.

"Please, don't say that; I don't want to picture her dating yet—not for a long, long time." Trunks moaned, holding his head.

"Sorry… But just look at them; they're just so cute together." Kagome happily declared.

"Maybe it's because you're a mother, not a father to little girls, but I get where Trunks is coming from." Sesshomaru stated, folding his arms.

"I take offence to that. I just have a feeling that when they're older that they'll start dating. I'm so glad neither of them take after their father." Kagome stated, her face puffing up with annoyance.

"You know—as long as she's happy and he doesn't hurt her, I'm all good." Trunks stated, shaking his head.

"Right. Same goes for Akio and Moroha." Kagome agreed.

"Towa and Setsuna will never be allowed to date. No boys except family." Sesshomaru sternly stated.

"Yeah… Good luck with that. You'll figure that out when they're teenagers: the more you tell them "no," the more they're going to do whatever they want anyway." Kagome stated, rolling her eyes.

"This is true…" Vegeta and Trunks sighed, thinking about Bulla.

"How are Akio and Moroha taking the change? How is it not having their father there?" Trunks asked, looking at Kagome.

"They're just fine. Akio's actually thrilled about it. Moroha was a little confused at first, but she understands and is happy; she's actually happier now than she was before. And Inuyasha not being there is amazing. I don't have to worry about him leaving his clothes or garbage everything. The house gets clean—and stays clean. Akio and Moroha both behave better. I should've kicked his ass out long ago." Kagome answered with a smile.

"That's great." Trunks replied.

"How long have you two been a thing?" Vegeta asked, looking at Kagome and Sesshomaru, causing Kagome to blush and Sesshomaru to just stare.

"Wh-what?" Kagome asked, stunned.

"How long have you been dating?" Vegeta asked again.

"Dad! You can't just ask somebody that." Trunks exclaimed, smacking his forehead.

"Just a few days. How could you tell?" Kagome asked, looking at Vegeta.

"It's plainly obvious; you two hold hands whenever you're out together." Vegeta answered, causing Kagome to turn a darker shade of red; Sesshomaru still only shared.

"Well, congratulations." Trunks told Kagome and Sesshomaru.

"Thanks." Kagome and Sesshomaru replied.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah… Congratulations. It's great. Now, get to work." Vegeta ordered, walking to his office.

"That's my dad for you." Trunks sighed.

"Yes, I see. But he seems nice enough—and my kids like him. Well, I'll you after work." Kagome replied before telling Sesshomaru, quickly kissing him on the cheek before she left.

"Are you dating anyone?" Sesshomaru asked, honestly not caring, watching Trunks.

"Asking on Kagome's behalf?" Trunks asked, knowing the answer.

"Yeah… She wants to know for whatever reason." Sesshomaru replied.

"No, I'm not. I don't have time. I have Kari and my job; they take up all my time. I don't mind working here, but I'd rather have a different job so I could spend more time with her." Trunks sighed.

"I see—and I get it. I spend time with the girls as much as I can when I'm not working or whatever." Sesshomaru stoically replied as they went their separate ways to work with their clients…
