Chapter 4: The Woman In Me

When Quinn woke up, Burt and Santana were gone, but Tracie was still there listening to music on her iPad when the song, "The Woman In Me." by Shania Twain plays as Quinn sings along as Santana and Burt come in, followed by Norah and Judy. Quinn didn't even notice though, because she was so focused on Noah.

(Quinn)

I'm not always strong

And sometimes I'm even wrong

But I win when I choose

And I can't stand to lose

But I can't always be

The rock that you see

When the nights get too long,

And I just can't go on

The woman in me

Needs you to be

The man in my arms

To hold tenderly

Cause I'm a woman in love

And it's you I run to

Yeah, the woman in me

Needs the man in you

When the world wants too much,

And it feels cold and out of touch

It's a beautiful place

When you kiss my face,

The woman in me

Needs you to be

The man in my arms

To hold tenderly

Cause I'm a woman in love

And it's you I run to

Yeah, the woman in me

Needs the man in you

Yeah, the woman in me

Needs the man in you

Judy says nothing and walks out as Burt follows her. Then Burt yells, "Quinn needs you to be there for her and all you can say is. She should have aborted your grandson! What is wrong with you? Quinn could lose Puck and all you could do is be the same heartless bitch you were when she had Beth. Do you know how many times people tried to get me to move on when Kurt's mom died? It took me a long time to get over losing Elizabeth, but I moved on. But you're trying to get Quinn to erase Puck from her life."

Burt soon storms in as the others hear Carole yelling at Judy, "That is your daughter in there, Judy! She needs you!"

Then Judy yells, "She needs to be a lawyer in New York, not a single mother in Lima, Ohio. Puck is a loser like his father, and she was an idiot for marrying him!" Soon they hear a slap before Carole storms into the room. As the others walk in, Quinn is still looking at Noah as she turns her back to the others and asks Tracie to lay down beside her.

Tracie looks at Burt as she says, "Queenie is not up for visitors today, guys. Grandpa Burt, Nana Carole, and Nono's mom can stay if they want. But Queenie said, she just wants me here for now." Then Quinn says, "No, just Kurt and Norah." As she cries herself to sleep.

Kurt sat beside Quinn's bed as Norah sat beside Noah's bed. Burt left with the others, but came back fifteen minutes later with three cups of coffee. Then he says, "Norah, Santana will be back when you start your shift."

Norah looks at Quinn as she says, "I'm taking a couple of weeks off starting tomorrow. One of my friends heard Tracie yell at me last night. Ha, I have a feeling she was yelling at more than just me and made up the story about the dream. Burt, I know for a fact that Puck doesn't have a Nightmare on Elm Street poster in his room, and that Finn did until he moved in with you two."

Kurt looks at Burt and says, "Dad, see. I told you she would figure it out." Then Burt says to Norah, "I did dream I was in a coma like Puck is. Before Tracie woke me up yelling at Kurt and Blaine."

When Santana came back, Tracie was lying on the cot again asleep, while Quinn, Kurt, and Norah were gone. Then Burt says, "Quinn went into labor ten minutes ago and there was no time to call you. Kurt texted the others and Quinn told me to tell you as soon as you got here." Santana sat in a chair beside Tracie's cot as she said, "I bet Tracie might fight me on this. I'm thinking of asking Quinn to stay with me and Brittany."

Burt chuckles and says, "Tracie already asked when Quinn went into labor and Quinn agreed. I hope Puck is not in a coma for years. Let's just say, I overheard the doctor tell Quinn, she could have a stroke or heart attack due to stress. I think Judy knew this already, but I'm not sure how."

Santana looks at Noah as she says, "Let's just say, That's why Beth is with Shelby, and I had to hear that from Mercedes after Beth was born. Mr. H, I watched Kurt go through hell when you had your heart attack. I don't want your nightmare to become Quinn's or for her to go through what you, Mrs. H, or Rachel did."

When Quinn came back with her son, Noah Elijah Puckerman Jr. She asked to talk to Burt alone. As soon as they were alone, Quinn says, "I had the same nightmare you did, and that's why I named my son after Puck. Mr. H, my dad told me you and my mom have been fighting since they admitted me here. I just wanted to say thank you and I heard this was your last year in congress. I don't know if Kurt told you, but Puck bought your old house, and I have been living in it until they put me on bed rest. I know I said I would stay with Kurt, but I don't want to. A lot of my good memories with Puck were in that house. Ha, I almost had Beth in that house."

Then they heard Tracie whisper, "Please, say yes!" repeatedly. Before they both chuckle and Burt says, "Carole and I would love to move in with you, but you have to forgive her first." Tracie gets up and runs out of the room before coming back with Carole. Then Carole looks at Noah as she says to Quinn, "I'm sorry, Quinn." Quinn hugs Carole and says, "If he wakes up, I'll need your help to keep him in line if Junior is like Kurt. So you better be sorry, Mrs. H." Tracie throws her hulk doll at Quinn, but it hits Burt, and they all laugh.
