Haggar's Fortune part 3

Haggar and Katie lied inside a prison cell, still unconscious before a few small stones were being thrown at the Altean treasure hunter and her human friend, making them slowly wake up.

When Haggar was fully awake, she looked up and saw Allura looking through the bars of the window. "I know I'm not a big-time treasure hunter like you two, but I doubt you're gonna find El Dorado in there." The Altean reporter said with a smile.

Katie, who was now awake, stood up, feeling relieved that Allura was okay and ran to the window. "Allura! You're okay!"

"It's good to see you too, Katie. And you too, Haggar."

Haggar too stood up while rubbing her back, telling her softly. "Hey."

"How'd you get yourselves in this mess?" Allura asked. "I was... worried that something happened." She honestly said when she saw them being captured by some of the pirates.

Haggar walked over to the window while answering the Altean reporter. "Thanks for your concern. And to answer how we got ourselves being captured: we were trying to rescue you, as a matter of fact."

Katie nodded, confirming Haggar's words. "We were both worried about you, Allura."

Allura felt flattered when the Altean treasure hunter and her friend tried to rescue her. "Oh, that's so sweet." She said before she then took a close on the wall. "Hmmm... traditional sandstone brick and stucco... limestone mortar... huh."

"How'd you get to know so much about this?" Haggar asked Allura.

Allura gave a smile at Haggar. "My show - episode 4, 'Architects of the New World'."

That was what made some sense for the treasure hunters, as why Allura wanted to fund their expedition. "Well, that explains it." Katie said.

Allura gave a nod and said while pulling the bars for a moment. "Yep. It'll just take a tug to pull these bars out. Just sit tight, I'll be right back." Before the Altean reporter jumped off the crate and walked off.

Both Haggar and Katie watched Allura disappearing for a moment. But then both heard a familiar voice coming from the hallway outside. "Get out of my way, bodoh!" The two female treasure hunters turned around and faced the door as the familiar voice shouted again. "Cepatan, open this goddamn door!"

Haggar and Katie knew all too well who that voice belonged to. "Oh fuck me." The Altean treasure hunter said with annoyance.

Katie rolled her eyes in annoyance as well. "Oh God, not that guy again!"

The guy then kicked the door open and walked in with an armed guard. It was the leader of the pirates and an old business partner of Haggar and Katie: Eddy Raja.

The Indonesian pirate leader smirked at the two females. "Hey, Drake and Katie Holt."

Haggar sighed, irritated to see this scumbag again. "Eddy Raja. I should have guessed that it was you leading these fucking pigs."

Eddy held up Haggar's map as he walked over to the cell while unfolding the map "Fascinating document, huh? Seems like this 'ancestor' of yours was in my line of work."

"Don't flatter yourself, Eddy." Haggar said with disgust.

Eddy first frowned at Haggar, but then chuckled. "Always ready to be enemies, eh?"

Katie crossed her arms, saying angrily. "You bet, Raja! Especially after you nearly screwed us over last time!"

Eddy sat on a wooden table, chuckling in amusement again. "That was just a few months ago." Then he took out his golden gun. "Tell you what - you ladies lead me to the gold, and I just might let you live."

Haggar smirked at him. "Is that it? That's our deal? Die now, or help you, and die later." Before she glanced at Katie, who shook her head and returned her glance at Eddy. "Hmmm... it's a tough call, but you know what? We'll take 'die now'.

Eddy jumped up off the table angrily. "Tai kamu!" He said before he held out his gun at Haggar, saying. "Listen to me, Altean bitch- I was promised treasure on this goddamn rock!" Then he got frustrated. "And now my men are dying. They can't even go outside to take a piss without an armed guard, and I have nothing to show for it!"

While Eddy turned away in anger, both Haggar and Katie looked over their shoulder and saw Allura hanging a hook around the bars of the window before both then returned their focus on Eddy, who hadn't noticed what Allura did and offered the two ladies.

"I am making you two a fair offer. You help me find the treasure, and the last man... or woman, in your cases, alive gets the gold... and the other Altean girl, of course." He finished with a smirk.

Haggar would have normally bluffed herself out of this, but when Eddy mentioned what dirty things he had in mind with Allura made her furious. "Eddy, I swear if you lay one hand on her, I'LL-!" She started but stopped when Katie held her arm.

Eddy and the guard were surprised by Haggar's reaction. Then Eddy laughed "Hahahaha! Tai kucing - that girl means a lot to you, huh Drake? Don't worry, I'll find her. How much trouble could one girl be?"

Suddenly, Allura backed away from the prison cell in her stolen jeep and the hog dragged away most of the wall, shocking everyone!

Allura called to her friends. "Well?! Come on! Let's go!"

Haggar quickly snatched the map away from a still shocked Eddy. "Thank you." And both she and Katie run towards the jeep.

Eddy then got very angry. "Hey! Goddamn it!"

Haggar and Katie jumped into the jeep. "Nice work, Allura!" Katie said while patting Allura's shoulder.

Allura nodded while Haggar climbed onto the back of the jeep and took control of a mounted machine gun while Allura tried to start the engine.

Eddy called his guard to open the door. "Hey, hey, buka pintu!"

Allura managed to restart the jeep and reversed out of the courtyard and drove off. "Hang on!"

Eddy then ran out with a few guards, calling his other mercenaries. "Hentikan mereka! After them!" Before they all fired on the speeding jeep.

As Allura speeded off with her treasure hunter friends away from the ruins and into the jungle, Eddy's goons were following them on trucks, jeeps and motorcycles, coming at them from behind and on the left side. But thankfully, Haggar destroyed them all with the mounted minigun that also had a grenade launcher, which the Altean treasure hunter used to destroy the jeeps and trucks while also making sure that every shot counted.

"Allura, watch the cliff!" Katie told her Altean reporter friend before she quickly swerved to avoid falling off!

"OH CRAP!" Allura yelled before driving in the opposite direction.

"I said watch the cliff!" Katie said.

"You alright back there, Haggar?" Allura asked the Altean treasure hunter.

"Just drive, Allura!" Haggar told her... before another truck came dangerously close to them, making her quickly fire a grenade at it, making it explode before it flew into the air as Allura drove right past it!

As Allura continued to speed in another direction, more motorcycles and jeeps came after them but Haggar quickly destroyed them all as they headed into a cave before Allura called out to her. "Haggar, shoot it out!" Before the Altean treasure hunter did just that, clearing the way as they got back outside.

"Allura, the cliff!" Katie said.

"I see it, Katie!" Allura said as she avoided the cliff and came upon a bridge. Allura became afraid as she saw that part of the bridge ahead was missing. "Uh... Haggar?!"

"Step on it! Punch it!" Haggar yelled.

Allura, while scared, speeded up and drove straight over the gap in the bridge before she laughed. "We made it!"

Katie held her fist in the air as she thought they were home free now. "Whooohoo!"

Haggar nodded, feeling relieved while Allura drove through another blockage. "Nice one! I don't think they're gonna follow us now."

Allura then asked about their encounter with Eddy Raja. "Who was that guy?".

Haggar started to tell the Altean reporter. "Just an old business asso-"

"LOOK OUT!" Katie yelled.

Allura's eyes went wide and she put the brakes down hard as there was no more road! She swerved the jeep round before it came to a stop, but Haggar fell off the back of the jeep and grabbed hold of the tire on the back.

Katie reached out her hand to Haggar. "Hold on! Grab my hand!"

Allura too reached her hand and took Haggar as she was able to pull herself back onto the jeep. "You okay, Haggar?"

Haggar nodded. "Yeah, I'm alright. You both okay?" She asked.

Katie moved to the back. "Yeah yeah, I'm okay."

While Haggar climbed into the driver's seat, Allura moved aside. "I'm fine." But then she noticed that Haggar bled from her arm. "Oh, but you're bleeding."

Haggar took a look at her arm, and just shrugged. "It's just a scratch. Goes with the territory." Before she then started the jeep. "Let's get the hell outta here." But when Haggar tried to drive the jeep, it wouldn't move as the rear tire was stuck behind the edge of the cliff. "Oh no, fucking piece of shit! Damn it! C'mon!"

Then Haggar looked up and saw Eddy walking towards them with his guards, while clapping sarcastically and laughing. "Hahahahaha. Going somewhere?"

"Hello Eddy." Haggar stated coldly, while Katie nervously waved.

Eddy kept laughing while he took out his shotgun. "Did you ladies really think you could escape from moi?"

Haggar just shrugged, not being amused by Eddy's threats. "Oh no, I was just giving

my friends a little tour around the island."

"Shut it!" Eddy demanded, having enough of Haggar's games. "I bet you're working for those Galra assholes too!"

"What?" Haggar asked, confused.

"You thought you could set me up as payback and keep everything for yourselves, hm?" Eddy then aimed his shotgun at the jeep.

"Get down!" Haggar called, just as Eddy fired his shotgun, shattering the windshield as Haggar, Allura and Katie ducked down.

Allura was shocked. "Damn it! This guy's crazy!"

"You have no idea, Allura." Katie said, reminding herself about their last encounter with Eddy Raja and his gang and even his crazy backstabbing sister.

Haggar cautiously looked up from behind the wheel while Eddy laughed. "Okay, Eddy. Just take it easy, okay?"

"Well you're out of luck now. And out of road." Eddy then cocks the shotgun, giving them his last warning. "Now, give me that map."

Haggar then whispered to Allura and Katie. "Hold on."

Katie nodded and held on to something before she then nodded to Allura to do the same, which the Altean journalist did as she ducked down again.

Haggar then looked back at Eddy, saying while slowly moving her hand down. "All right, you got me, fair and square."

"Hey, don't move!" Eddy warned her not do anything stupid.

Haggar ensured him while having an escape plan. "Relax, Eddy. I'm just getting the map, like you asked." Before she reached down again, putting the jeep slowly in reverse while whispering to her friends. "Are you guys holding on?" Before Allura and Katie gave a nod.

Eddy started to get impatient. "Well, what are you waiting for? Hand it over!"

Haggar gave him a smirk. "Well now, you told me not to move. Looks like you're gonna have to come get it.

By this point, Eddy lost all patience. "Tai kamu!"

Haggar quickly reversed off the edge of the cliff and the jeep fell down into the water below with Allura and Katie, making Eddy and his guards run to the edge of the cliff in shock.

When the 3 of them resurfaced, Haggar shouted. "Go! Go! Go!" Before they swam to a ruined city that looked like it drowned centuries ago. Allura even gave Haggar and Katie some pistols that she'd gotten from the jeep.

After getting to shore, Haggar, Katie and Allura began trading bullets with more pirates that were near them. It was easy to deal with them, as Haggar got the idea to use the barrels to their advantage by shooting them when the pirates were in their radius, killing them before Haggar found a couple of AK-47s and handed 1 of them to Katie along with more ammo.

When Haggar opened the gate nearby, Allura and Katie went through it, she followed and reloaded her pistol while breathing out deeply. "This was a big mistake."

Allura nodded while sitting on a fallen pillar. "No kidding. I should've turned before the bridge."

Katie looked around and wondered. "Geez, how is it possible that an entire city could drown like this?"

Haggar shook her head. "No idea, but I guess we're gonna find that out sooner or later."

Allura then signaled Haggar and Katie to check something on her camera. "Oh, come here a minute - I wanna show you guys something."

Katie sat next to Allura while Haggar asked. "That thing still works?"

Allura nodded as she started the camera. "Uh-huh. Check this out." When Haggar shoved next to Allura, she showed them the footage she took earlier. "Okay, see this building in the harbor? That's where all the boats coming into the colony would've unloaded their cargo. So if the El Dorado treasure came to this island, it would've had to have come through here."

Haggar however felt some uncertainty as she was lost in her own thoughts. Allura noticed it and asked her. "What's wrong?"

Haggar shook her head as she raised herself. "I don't know, you guys. This is getting way too big to go on."

Allura and Katie became confused as to what their Altean friend was saying. Katie then asked. "Too big to go on? What are you saying, Haggar? You wanna give up?"

Haggar tried to explain her worries. "Listen, I'm saying that we all should reconsider about this. I mean, we already lost Ezor, our plane got blown up, there are probably hundreds of pirates on this island, maybe more than just pirates AND there are only three of us."

Allura shrugged. "Well, we're doing fine so far."

Katie then marged up to Haggar. "This isn't like you. You were never the first one to give up and isn't this something that you've wanted for years? To finally find out the truth about your ancestor's fate and El Dorado?!"

"Katie, I don't want your bullet-riddled corpse on my conscience too and neither yours either, Allura. This is not something worth dying for." Haggar stated to her best friend and the Altean women that she was beginning to feel something more for.

Katie then understood Haggar's worries and stroked her arm in comfort. "I know. I miss Ezor too."

Haggar nearly got teary when she looked at Katie and Allura, who walked up to her. "What if we get to El Dorado? And one of us gets killed before we reach it?! This isn't like any of our previous adventures, Katie. This is bigger than that. I don't want to go through losing somebody else important to me again."

Allura felt flattered when Haggar said that. She had to admit that when she'd heard Haggar say how she would tear Eddy Raja to pieces if he harmed her, she started to blush before freeing her friends. Was she having feelings for Haggar too?

Allura left it out of her mind and suddenly gave her a hug. "It's okay, Haggar. It's okay." Before she then broke the hug and stated. "Listen, either way we have to head back to the harbor. Don't you worry about it, Haggar. We can discuss it later."

Haggar nodded to Allura, before she glanced at the two jet skis near them. "Okay. Katie, you take the other jet ski, Allura will be on mine." She said, making both Allura and Katie agree by nodding before they stepped on the jet skies.

While going through the flooded city, Allura and Katie wondered what could have happened to the city centuries ago that made it like this. "What happened to this place?" The Altean journalist asked.

"Yeah. That's what I'm wondering. The whole city's completely flooded." Katie said before they saw barrels in the water, making them stop before they got into 1 of the ruins as more pirates were shooting at them.

"Allura, shoot the barrels! They're oil barrels!" Haggar told her before the Altean reporter did just that with her grenade launcher, making the barrels explode and killing a few pirates that were close to them. "Good work, Allura." She said before looking at Katie. "Katie, don't go full speed in these waters. There's probably more barrels that are just laying around and if out jet skis even slightly touch them, they'll blow up."

"Got it, Haggar." Katie said before looking at Allura. "Allura, you've got the grenade launcher, so you'll have to cover us while also shooting the barrels."

"Right. I'll do my best. But like Haggar said: just don't go at full speed and find cover once we see more of those barrels and those pirates." Allura reminded her human friend before they continued forward.

It turned out that Haggar had been right about the barrels and more pirates, as they were all very close to each other. Luckily for the 2 treasure hunters and the Altean journalist, Allura quickly shot them all with her grenade launcher while trying to conserve ammo and finding cover in the ruins for her to reload before they moved further until eventually, Haggar and Katie then reached a ramp.

"Hold on!" The Altean treasure hunter called to Allura, while she and Katie drove over the ramp with their jet skis, making them reach the harbor.

"There it is!" Katie called.

"Yeah, now we just gotta find a way in." Haggar said while she and Katie drove slowly to the harbor.

Allura then said what she'd read before. "Y'know, I once read a story once about a cursed Inca treasure... you guys don't suppose that...?"

Haggar shook her head. "Please don't tell me you believe in that stuff."

Katie however agreed with Allura. "Maybe Allura has a point. Something bad happened here long ago. I mean, a whole colony doesn't just up and vanish. Maybe the people who lived here caused something bad."

"Or maybe it was an... act of God." Allura suggested, knowing that God always acted when history called for it.

Haggar shrugged. "Let's just... keep those thoughts in mind for some other time."

Once they left the jet skies by the dock, Allura, Haggar and Katie headed up the steps. Haggar and Katie look up at a cable running from the top of a building nearby.

"Hey look." Katie called. "Looks like that cable would get us up there."

Haggar nodded while saying to Katie and Allura. "Right. I'll go and check it out, figure a way to get us to that tower. You guys stay here and keep an eye on our rides."

Katie nodded, while Allura said. "Okay. Be careful, Haggar."

Haggar ensured her before leaving. "I will. You too."

But as Haggar was going through the ruins, she was getting shot at again, much to her annoyance. "Damn it. How many of these fucking pigs did you bring here, Raja?" She asked herself before she shot another oil barrel with a few pirates close to it, killing them before she carefully moved closer while continuing to spray bullets at the pirates, including 1 with a grenade launcher.

When Haggar dealt with all the pirates in the area, she got more ammo for her guns and even took the grenade launcher for Allura. When she got to the upper level by an old staircase, she quickly killed another pirate before hanging from the ledge and using a vine to get to the lever to open the gate below them.

Once Haggar opened the gate, Allura and Katie speeded to where the Altean treasure hunter was and quickly got to her. "Down here!" Allura called out, scooting back before Haggar jumped on the jet ski. "You okay?"

"Yeah. Had to kill some more of Raja's pirate pigs, but I'm good." Haggar answered while giving the Altean reporter the grenade launcher she took off the pirate she killed earlier.

Just like before, Haggar and Katie didn't go full speed on their jet skis, as there were more oil barrels and pirates shooting at them. Allura used her grenade launcher to deal with them all while using the ruins for cover until they came upon another gate that was held closed by a large rock. Allura shot the rock down, making the gate open before they got to another courtyard.

Haggar got off the jet ski as Allura said. "You've got to get to that tower."

"I'll stay with Allura and we'll meet you at the customs house, Haggar." Katie said with a smile.

"Okay. Be careful." Haggar said, making them his before the Altean reporter and the former college student drove off.

The Altean treasure hunter then moved forward but got shot at by more pirates, who she carefully and quickly killed them before getting some grenades from the nearby crate and moved through a flooded part of the courtyard before using some of the grenades to kill more pirates while using her pistol for a grenade launcher pirate before getting past a gate by climbing the ruins, killing more pirates before getting to a doorway and used her Ak-47 to kill a few more pirates that came out of the tower doors, getting some more ammo and even switching weapons from the dead pirates before going inside of the tower, killing another pirate that was waiting by slashing his head above the eyes, leaving a bleeding scar on his head before breaking his leg with a swap-kick and snapping his neck!

Haggar then got to the main room where she pulled a lever, making the chain near it move left before climbing it and scampering through the handheld walls to get to another lever, making the chain nearby move to where the Altean treasure hunter needed it before she got onto a ledge and killed another pirate by jump-kicking him off the ledge before going up the stairs and getting to a zipline.

When Haggar slid across the zipline and dropped down into the customs house, she could hear Allura's voice from outside the locked door. "Hey, Haggar! Let us in!"

Haggar then shot the lock on the entrance door. "Stand back!" She called out before kicking the door open, letting Allura and Katie in. "All right - let's find a way to the harbor."

As they made their way through the customs house, Haggar, Allura and Katie reached an old abandoned library. "Wow, look at this." Haggar said while admiring all the shelves filled with journals.

"These must be all the old ship manifests." Katie said while Haggar took one of the books and Allura took out her video camera and started filming Haggar and Katie.

Haggar blew some dust off the cover. "Still seems to be in good shape." Before she then turned the pages, but didn't find anything useful and took another book.

Katie walked over to an open book on a table behind them. "Hey, check this out - this looks right." She started reading while Allura and Haggar joined her. "The Esperanza. Sailed from Callao, Peru. Carrying 800 bars of gold, 1200 silver. Emeralds... Golden masks, ornaments..."

Allura was impressed that Katie could read that language despite it being centuries old. "Whoa, Katie. Reading 16th-century Spanish. I'm impressed."

Haggar nodded at Allura while rubbing Katie's hair. "One of the great things me and Ezor liked about her before we considered her our friend."

Then Katie found in the journal what they'd been looking for. "Right here. Gold statue, weight: 20 arrobas. That's over five hundred pounds. That's gotta be it!"

She said with excitement before she then turned the page, showing the next page a picture of El Dorado.

Both Treasure hunters were fascinated by the structure of the El Dorado treasure. "Wow... There you are..." Haggar said while nodding.

Allura however was a bit scared by the looks of that treasure. "That thing kinda gives me the creeps."

Katie shrugged as she did feel a bit the same. But what was more weirder, was that after the picture of El Dorado... the rest of the book was empty.

"Huh. That's the last entry." Haggar said, while fiddling the ring around her neck.

Allura noticed it and asked curiously. "That somebody special?"

Haggar raised an eyebrow at her, making Allura nod at the ring she was fiddling before the Altean treasure hunter shrugged. "Oh, yeah. I guess you could... say that."

"Huh. I didn't know that you had someone... at some other place." Allura said with a bit of a disappointed look, thinking that Haggar was already in a relationship.

That made Haggar to chuckle and shook her head. "What? Oh no no no, it's not like that... This was Francis Drake's ring. I kind of inherited it."

Katie just stood there, letting Haggar and Allura talk while the Altean reporter took a look at the ring, reading the inscription on the outside of it. "'Sic parvis magna'?"

Haggar nodded and told her what that meant. "Mmm hmmm. 'Greatness from small beginnings' - it was his motto. Check out the date."

Allura read on the inside of the ring. "29th of January, 1596."

Haggar nodded again. "One day after he supposedly died."

"What are these numbers right here?" Allura asked as she pointed to the small numbers next to the date.

"Coordinates. Right off the coast of Panama."

This brought a whole lot of sense to Allura, as she now knew how Haggar was able to find Drake's coffin. "Oh, so that's how you found the coffin."

"Yeah, that's right. See, Drake left this as a clue to pinpoint the exact burial site."

Allura smiled at Haggar. "For someone clever enough to figure it out."

"Yeah." Haggar said before they both looked into each other's eyes for a moment until Haggar figured that they should move on. "Uhh... we should head on, right? Maybe find a ride to get off this rock?" The Altean treasure hunter suggested, leaving the option to take one of the pirates boats to get off the island.

Allura wished that this moment could last for a little bit longer, but knew that Haggar was right, though she'd hoped that Haggar would change her mind by not giving up on this treasure hunt, as she knew that if Drake really was her ancestor like she said, the Altean treasure hunter would at least want to find out how he died.

Katie smiled at both of them, before she ripped the picture of El Dorado out of the book and held it up to Allura's video camera. "Well, at least we'll know what El Dorado looks like, when and if we find it. But if we don't, at least we got closer to finding it than anyone else did. And that's probably gonna have to be enough for the people who watch your show, Allura... and your producer, too."

As the 2 treasure hunters and the Altean reporter moved further through the Customs house, they shared bullets with some more pirates, with Haggar even using some of her martial arts skills to kill a few of them, or just knock them out before they got up the stairs and Haggar opened the nearby gate.

After the gate was opened, the three of them walked out onto a balcony overlooking the ocean. Haggar then spotted a boat nearby. "Look. There's a boat right there." She said as she pointed to their right. "On the other side of the harbor. C'mon, let's go."

Both treasure hunters were about to go, but Allura stopped them. "Hey, you know what - why don't I just wait here, and you two can uh, swing around and come back and pick me up."

Haggar laughed and asked Allura. "Okay, what are you up to?"

"Nothing. I just wanna, y'know, stay here and get some more footage." Allura stated while holding out her camera and assured Haggar. "I'll be safe."

Haggar wasn't so sure of leaving Allura alone and then asked the Altean reporter. "All right - fine. But, maybe Katie should stay here with you, just in case?" Haggar then glanced at her human friend. "You're okay with watching Allura with those nasty pirates around, right, Katie?"

Katie gave Haggar a salute. "No problemo."

Haggar nodded and said before leaving. "All right. I'll be right back."

After Haggar shot the lock on the nearby door, she jumped to a balcony that crumbled and leaned forward, making Haggar slide down before she quickly jumped to the next balcony. Once she was on it, she saw 3 more pirates inside the building but quickly killed them with headshots before shooting another locked door open that fell before Haggar jumped to the doorway and got inside of the Customs house.

Once she was inside, she went down the stairs before she was getting shot at again. "Damn it! I am sick of these perverted pirate pigs!" Haggar said with annoyance before she fired back, using all the ammo she could and killing a few pirates before running out. "Fuck!" She said before a few of the pirates came up to her but she quickly took care of them with her martial arts skills before she eventually got to the torrent on the other side of the room and killed several more pirates who rushed in before she finally killed the last one.

When they were all dead, she looked out the window and saw a helicopter flying above the building. "Oh great. Wonder who else is on this damn island?" She asked herself before she used the lever nearby to open the gate and went through it and got to an area close to the harbor.

Haggar hid behind some broken pillars, watching some pirates carrying crates onto the boat. "Get this all on the boat now!" 1 of them ordered.

Haggar was this close to attacking them, but then was pulled back by Allura.

"Hey." She said quietly while panting, with Katie joining her, being also out of breath and in shock.

"How did you guys get here?" Haggar asked, but wondered what Katie was so shocked about. "What's with you, Katie? You look like you've seen a ghost."

Allura takes out her camera. "You really need to see this."

Katie nodded heavily. "Yes... you need to."

Haggar wasn't sure and didn't want to lose probably their only chance to get off the island. "Can't this wait? We might just-"

Allura pulled her back again. "No - Haggar..."

"What are you doing?!"

Katie then held her shoulders, looking very seriously at her Altean friend. "Haggar, you need to see this."

Allura then started the camera, showing Haggar the footage, seeing the Galra mercenary Sendak waiting in a helicopter, with Lotor walking towards it with an awfully familiar woman walking beside him. And when the woman turned her head, Allura freezed the footage and Haggar was in complete shock, as the women... was Ezor!

"She's alive." Allura said seriously.

Katie shook her head, still not believing that their best friend was alive. "I don't get it, Haggar. We... we saw her get shot. We saw her die!"

Haggar couldn't believe what was going on around here. Was Ezor them all along? No. There had to be an explanation for all of this.

Allura spoke her worry to Haggar. "I don't know, Haggar... I mean, how much do you trust that woman? It's not exactly like they're holding her at gunpoint."

Haggar then watched the boat leaving, missing their chance. But right now, she had other things on her mind. She pulled out her map while saying. "I know. Yeah, it seems weird but...no. Ezor's a lot of things, but she's not a back-stabber."

Allura looked at Katie, seeing that she was still unsure about this. But Haggar was not gonna let her best friend, who had been like an older sister to her for years be abandoned to her fate.

As Haggar unfolded the map, she asked. "Which way were they headed?"

Allura pointed to the top section of the map. "Uh... North. Yeah, towards the mountains."

Haggar nodded while putting the map back in her pocket. "Okay, it's gotta be the monastery. Let's go."

Allura stopped her and asked, still worried. "But... What if it turns out she's working with them?"

Haggar sighed while stating. "We either rescue her or we beat the shit out of her." But she wasn't sure to leave that part out and just said. "Hell, I might just beat the shit out of her anyway."

There you go, my dear friends, part 3 of Drake's Fortune is complete. Next will be Haggar, Katie and Allura continuing to go through the jungle while dealing with new enemies that are more trained than those annoying pirate pigs and finally reuniting with Ezor, with the former Navy Galra hybrid woman explaining why she is still alive and what she had found out about El Dorado. Rate and review. See you next time, my dear friends.
