Skateboard Fun
Riverside Skate Park, Riverside Park, New York City
"YEEHAW~!" Romeo and Kaminari hollered in unison, doing a double 180 trick before landing safely on the ground with their skateboards.
"Nice job, you two!" Issei hollered.
Sitting next to the Grabbing Dragon is Kouga, Natsu, Naruto and Ichigo at one table, enjoying the lunch Rin and Sanji made comprised of American sandwiches and Japanese bento boxes.
Right now, the thirteen heroes tagged along with Romeo, Wendy and Carla, Evan, Tanaka, Nishinoya, Sun, Kaminari, Kyoka, Will and Kise went to do a little skating at the Riverside Skate Park per Romeo and Tanaka's joint idea to do a little tournament to see who's the best skater among the Alliance, Union and League combined.
The race itself is around the park four times with no time limit but rules to be fair and square.
Romeo is dueling Kaminari right now, and already out were Will, Kise, Sun, Nishinoya and Rin, who wanted to join himself.
"Romeo's a natural when it comes to skateboarding. Ain't no one who can beat him." Natsu explained, in a bragging manner.
"Sounds like bragging, man. But he sure beat me in that triple trick maneuver." Nishinoya commented.
"Oh! Looks like he just beat Kaminari after doing a Nosegrab!" Tanaka hollered.
Romeo just rejoined the others after doing a Nosegrab and reaching the end of the lap with his arms pumped up. Kaminari huffed and puffed hard as he came to a stop.
"I almost had him…" Kaminari muttered.
"Better luck next time, Zappy." Kyoka said, trying to hold her laughter.
"Next up is Tanaka and Sun. Start up!" Kouga hollered.
Tanaka and Sun grabbed their respective boards and reached the starting line to begin their race.
"This win is mine, monkey boy." Tanaka said.
"Bring it, cueball." Sun said, making Tanaka's eyebrows twitch in irritation.
Kouga decided to go into the middle to signal the two skaters with his right arm raised up.
"Ready… Set… Go!" Kouga hollered, swinging his right arm downward.
Tanaka and Sun raced off without hesitation, going through the first curve before grinding on a rail with balance, then grinding another rail down the stairs safely as Sun pulled away first. Tanaka quickly followed by using one of his legs to gain momentum as they make the next turn.
The others were watching and made bets to see who's going to win and face Romeo in the last match of the "skateboard park tournament".
"My money's on Sun!" Kouga hollered.
"In your dreams! Ryu's gonna win!" Nishinoya hollered.
"Yeah! Tanaka-san's got this!" Hinata hollered.
"Tanaka-senpai couldn't beat Sun last time." Ruby explained, reminding her fellow Alliance members the last time Tanaka tried to take on Sun in a friendly match, only to end up with Sun's victory.
Hinata and Nishinoya blew raspberries in defiance.
Three laps later, Tanaka was able to pull a close win from Sun, making him Romeo's opponent.
"Pay up, Ruby!" Hinata hollered.
"You too, Kouga!" Nishinoya hollered.
Ruby and Kouga grumbled and each gave $10 to Hinata and Nishinoya.
"Try not to bet next time." Kise commented, trying to hold his laughter.
Romeo was getting ready as Wendy, Carla and Evan watched. Romeo turned to the trio with a smile.
"Wish me luck." Romeo said.
"You're just having fun, boy. It's not a competition." Carla explained.
Romeo chuckled.
"Do your best." Wendy said, kneeling down and giving Romeo a sweet kiss on the cheek.
Romeo blushed, but smiled and nodded.

After last minute preparations, Romeo and Tanaka were in their starting positions.
"You boys ready?" Kouga asked.
Romeo and Tanaka nodded before looking at each other with a determined demeanor.
"I'm gonna win this!" Romeo and Tanaka thought in unison.
"Ready… Set… Go!" Kouga hollered.
With that, Romeo and Tanaka raced off with full speed, reaching the first corner with Tanaka in the lead. Romeo followed behind.
"Keep up, little man." Tanaka said.
Romeo grinned and started to use his left leg to boost himself forward.
The two were neck-and-neck as they grind, flip and maneuver through the whole skate park in a circle for at least three laps within several minutes as the others cheered for their potential victor.
They're on their last lap as Tanaka did a Gazelle Flip on a rail and managed to gain his footing. Romeo caught up with Bigflip and is neck-in-neck with his senior as they reach the finish line at the final corner.
"They're even!" Hinata hollered.
"No they're not! Romeo-kun's gonna win!" Wendy hollered.
True to Wendy's word, Romeo was able to pull ahead and passed through Tanaka, much to Tanaka's surprise. Romeo soon crossed the finish line first and pumped his fists in the air.
"WAHOO~!" Romeo shouted.
"ROMEO'S THE WINNER!" Kouga shouted.
Natsu, Wendy, Evan and Carla all joined and hugged Romeo very hard, congratulating him on his win.
Everyone else, even Tanaka, simply smiled to see the little skating prodigy grow.
Skateboarding is really fun, and some of the boys mentioned will be learning how to skate in the upcoming World Chronicles soon enough.
