Boat Race

I'm back from my vacation and ready for more summer adventures of the World Chronicles crossover series! At the end of this chapter, there are some important announcements I have to make.

Waterbury Center State Park, Reservoir Rd, Vermont

Natsu groaned in pain. But not physical or mental pain - the pain of being motion sick on all kinds of vehicles!

Proof of this came when he was riding a red canoe with Ichigo, as they're in a boat race competition against some other teams who are either kayaking, paddle boarding, or canoeing.

"Remind me again why you wanted to be in this?" Ichigo asked.

Natsu couldn't answer but continued to groan in pain.

Ichigo sighed.

"Forgot you can't talk when you're motion sick." Ichigo commented.

"C'mon! We're a little behind!" Rin hollered.

"Don't you think I don't know that?!" Naruto asked, struggling to row on their bluish-orange canoe.

"Dammit! Two teams are already in the lead when this whole thing started." Rin explained.

"Thank water boy and Deku for that." Naruto muttered.

"So not fair." Rin said.

"Wahoo!" Percy hollered, using his demigod gift to give himself and Deku a boost on their blue and green-colored kayak.

"We sure are going fast, Percy-kun." Izuku commented.

"There's no way we're losing this race." Percy said.

Suddenly, a burst of white flew past Percy and Izuku, causing the waves to rattle their boat hard.

"What the hell?!" Percy exclaimed.

"See you guys at the finish line!" A voice hollered, revealing to be Goku riding on his orange paddle board. Behind him was Kouga riding his white and blue kayak.

"See you at the finish line, Percy!" Kouga hollered.

"You two aren't getting away that easily!" Percy hollered, using the water to boost himself and Izuku even harder.

Izuku was screaming as he was holding onto dear life.

"Out of our way, idiot!" Ichigo hollered.

"Make me, idiot!" Rin hollered.

Ichigo (and Natsu, but is still motion sick) got into an argument with Naruto and Rin as their boats collided intensely, causing Ichigo and Rin to use their paddle boards in a makeshift sword fight.

"Please… stop… moving…" Natsu said.

"Some help you are to your team." Naruto commented.

Natsu groaned and wanted to smack Naruto, but the sickness is still taking over him.

"The winner is gonna be me!" Ichigo hollered.

"Ha! With a partner who gets sick every time he goes on a vehicle? Puh-lease." Rin explained.

Ichigo and Rin clashed hard with their paddle boards.

"Meet you on the flip side, suckers!" Ruby hollered, passing by on her red paddle board with speed.

Ichigo (and Natsu), Rin and Naruto, stood shellshocked.

"AFTER HER!" Ichigo, Rin and Naruto shouted in unison.

Rin and Naruto paddled fast with force. Ichigo was forced to do it by himself using his spiritual energy to boost his strength. Natsu however, was forced off when Ichigo went full throttle, leaving him floating face down in the sea as Ichigo raced after Ruby with Rin and Naruto in tow.

Happy, acting as "temporary lifeguard", came by and got Natsu up with his flying Aera magic.

"What am I ever gonna do with you?" Happy asked, in an embarrassed tone.

Percy and Izuku just met up with Goku and Kouga, and behind them were Luffy, riding his own red and yellow kayak, and Ruby, vying for first place.

"We closing in on them!" Izuku hollered.

"Hope you enjoy second and third place!" Percy called out to Goku and Kouga.

"Not as much as your team will be!" Goku hollered.

"Be sure to enjoy a week of housecleaning!" Kouga hollered.

"I'm gonna be the winner of this race!" Luffy hollered.

"YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN BE IN THE RACE!" Kouga, Percy and Ruby barked in unison.

"Can't hear you all! Too busy winning!" Luffy hollered, being ignorant.

"We're the ones who are gonna win!" Naruto, Ichigo and Rin hollered in unison, coming behind Luffy and Ruby with haste.

"WHERE DID YOU GUYS COME FROM?!" Luffy exclaimed.

"AND WHERE'S NATSU?!" Kouga and Ruby exclaimed in unison.

Naruto and Rin paddled faster, as Ichigo, forcing Kouga, Goku, Luffy, Percy and Izuku, and Ruby, to all paddle faster with the finish line now close in sight.

But suddenly, a loud horn sound was heard, alerting the current nine racers to realize the race was already over.

"IT'S OVER!? WHO WON?!" Kouga, Naruto, Goku, Ruby, Ichigo, Luffy, Izuku, Percy and Rin exclaimed in unison.

"We did." A voice said.

The nine quickly turned to see the winners of the race none other than Kuroko and Hinata on their red and orange canoe.

"BUT HOW?!" Kouga, Naruto, Goku, Ruby, Ichigo, Luffy, Izuku, Percy and Rin exclaimed in unison, demanding answers.

"You simply forgot about us the entire time." Kuroko explained.

"Which was rude by the way. But thanks to Tetsuya's Misdirection, we managed to slip past you guys and take the win." Hinata explained.

Kouga, Naruto, Goku, Ruby, Ichigo, Luffy, Izuku, Percy and Rin groaned in irritation of losing the race.

Happy was to the side trying to get the water out of Natsu despite feeling better now that he's back on land.

This was based on my time at Vermont during vacation, and it was my first time canoeing, kayaking and board paddling. It was really fun! Can't say the same for Natsu's poor motion sickness!

Important Announcement(s): After nearly two weeks of thinking and researching, I'm removing both High School DxD and Soul Eater, but in their place will be Riordanverse's Percy Jackson & The Olympians and Kuroko's Basketball (as done in this story)!

There are plenty of reasons why I picked those two. First, the Riordanverse was one of my favorite series since middle school, as I've read all five Percy Jackson & The Olympians books and really liked them, plus I've always wanted to get the demigods to meet the Greek myths they know in other universes, including different versions of their own godly parents. As for Kuroko's Basketball, I never knew the series until the English Dub came out this year and watched it a lot, and now became very hooked to it because I played basketball since elementary school, and that will be very vital to the World Chronicles crossover franchise. But first, I need to come up with a Kuroko's Basketball action story that will be similar to Haikyū! Ninjas, but will have to wait until the start of September.

You may ask reasons why I'm not doing High School DxD and Soul Eater anymore is because High School DxD is both a harem-based anime (I don't have any problem with it at all) and feels like Rated M-themed (since I'm mostly doing Rated K and T stories since first started doing fanfiction to avoid getting into trouble). For Soul Eater, I kept trying to find another main female protagonist to go with Ruby, but the series is too complicated in terms of Meisters and Souls, along with using the version by XFangHeartX and Yellowpikmin88 without consent or finding out more on their characters, but the series is really fun to watch.

I will also edit and revise the previous chapters since June to get rid of the High School DxD and Soul Eater characters and replace them with the Percy Jackson and Kuroko's Basketball characters while doing the next chapters until the end of the summer.
