Streetball Style!

West 4th Street Court, Brooklyn, New York City

It's a beautiful day in Brooklyn, and what better time to spend the day is a single round of basketball, or streetball. Spending that day were not only our thirteen main heroes, but also the Generation of Miracles, Momoi, Takao, Himuro, and the first and second-year Exwires.

On one team comprises of Kuroko (?; possibly small forward), Izuku (point guard), Aomine (power forward), Jusis (shooting guard) and Ichigo (center). The other team comprises of Kagami (power forward), Rin (point guard), Hinata (small forward), Ruby (shooting guard) and Kevin (center).

"This is gonna be fun." Rin said.

"Even better when you, Kagami and shorty are gonna get blitzed by me." Aomine explained.

"You got it backwards, Aomine." Kagami said, getting annoyed.

"Let's all just play a fair game and not let rivalries kill us. Please?" Izuku asked, defusing a situation erupting between Aomine and Kagami, Rin and Hinata, with Jusis and Ichigo getting in on the argument.

Everyone soon got into their positions, with Kagami and Aomine getting to the center for the tip-off. Momoi, holding the ball as she stepped forward.

"Alright, gang. It's a full 30 minute game. Now… for the tip-off!" Momoi hollered, throwing the basketball ball in the air.

Aomine and Kagami jumped high at the same time to reach for the ball once it reached the highest point. Kagami got to it first and tipped the ball to his side, which was caught by Rin.

Kagami's team ran towards the goal with Rin dribbling the ball quite well. He was being guarded by Jusis, but did a step back and passed to Hinata, who managed to speed through Kuroko and Izuku, then passed the ball to Kagami, doing a strong jump just in front of the no-charge zone and did a powerful slam dunk in the hoop, scoring the first two points.

(Team Kuroko: 0 | Team Kagami: 2)

"Hell yeah!" Rin, Hinata and Kagami hollered in unison.

"Nice way to start - gotta give'em that." Ichigo commented.

"Then let's start things on our end." Aomine said.

"Right." Kuroko said.

Now it was Izuku dribbling the ball with Rin guarding him. He attempted to pass but Rin got in his way.

With quick thinking, he passed the ball to nowhere on the left, but it reality it was Kuroko (being unnoticed thanks to Misdirection), and passed to Aomine for an Alley-oop, who was already in the air, scoring the first 2 point for his team.

(Team Kuroko: 2 | Team Kagami: 2)

"Alright!" Izuku hollered.

"Nice pass, Tetsu." Aomine said.

"Thanks." Kuroko said.

The two did their signature fist bump, which made Momoi very happy seeing the two friends once again, like they did during the Generation of Miracles' street ball reunion on the same day Kuroko's birthday.

It was now Team Kagami's turn with the ball, and Hinata was the current holder, dribbling fast as he managed to pass through Izuku and Ichigo, but Aomine was standing between him and the basket.

"Not so fast, runt." Aomine said.

Hinata grinned and managed to pass to Ruby, who jumped and threw the ball high in the air.

It was going to miss, but it was actually heading to Hinata, who managed to pass Aomine thanks to Kagami doing a screen to keep the Generation of Miracles' ace at bay.

Jumping to his highest peak, Hinata slammed the ball in the hoop like he would slam a volleyball pass the tallest blockers between the net, and scored 2 points for his team.

(Team Kuroko: 2 | Team Kagami: 4)

Hinata landed back on the ground and was giddy with pure excitement.

"I'll never get use to this awesome feeling! So cool!" Hinata hollered, being joined by Rin Ruby, Kagami and Kevin.

"Not bad." Aomine commented.

From the sidelines, Akashi smiled.

(Team Kuroko: 8 | Team Kagami: 10)

After 10 minutes, both teams immediately swapped players with Team Kuroko now comprised of Kise (small forward), Midorima (shooting guard), Natsu (power forward), Takao (point guard) and Suguro (center). Team Kagami now comprised of Himuro (power forward), Murasakibara (center), Akashi (point guard), Shima (shooting guard) and Naruko (small forward).

Takao has the ball first and dribbled but met with Akashi.

He quickly passed the ball to Midorima, who is standing at the center of the court and attempted a Super Three Point Shot, but Akashi attempted to intercept by jumping before Midorima got ready to kneel down to jump.

Midorima decided to pass to Kise, taking the Kaijo ace by surprise.

"Midorimacchi passed?" Kise thought.

"Get your head in the game, you fool." Midorima explained.

Kise quickly moved with a fast yet steady dribbling rhythm and managed to pass Shima and Naruko. He attempted a layup shot, but Murasakibara already blocked him and knocked the ball out of his hands.

"Sorry, Kise-chin. But it's not gonna be that easy." Murasakibara explained.

"That's so you, Murasakibaracchi." Kise commented.

The ball went to Akashi who dribbles with elegance and easily passed through Midorima, Natsu and Suguro, doing a layup shot to score.

(Team Kuroko: 8 | Team Kagami: 12)

"Man. You are good, Akashi." Suguro commented.

"Appreciate the compliment." Akashi said.

"But we're gonna score twice as hard!" Suguro hollered.

"Bon's getting fired up again." Rin, Shima and Koneko thought in unison.

The ball was now passed to Himuro, who attempted the Mirage Shot from the three-point line, but Natsu's strong instincts allowed him to keep up and block the shot with knowing how the technique works.

"Not gonna fall for that." Natsu said, which didn't surprise Himuro since he knew Natsu wasn't ordinary.

Natsu grabbed the ball and passed to Takao. Takao passed the ball to Midorima using a Sky Direct Three Point Shot before Akashi could reach the shooting guard in time. With a perfect pass and perfect time, Midorima shot far and scored a powerful three point with a one-point difference in the scoring.

(Team Kuroko: 11 | Team Kagami: 12)

"Nice shot, Shin-chan!" Takao hollered.

Midorima adjusted his glasses with his usual stoic expression.

From the sides, Kuroko and Kagami were feeling the energy from all the players and began to feel more excited by the minute.

(Team Kuroko: 25 | Team Kagami: 25)

In the last 10 minutes, the teams were playing their last players with the final score goes to whoever finishes now that the score is tied.

The last players for Team Kuroko comprises of Kuroko (?), Akashi (point guard), Aomine (power forward), Jusis (shooting guard) and Kevin (center), while Team Kagami comprises of Kagami (power forward), Kise (small forward), Rin (point guard), Midorima (shooting guard) and Murasakibara (center).

"I'm with Rincchi. But Kurokocchi isn't on my team too?" Kise asked, whining.

"And why am I stuck with Midochin?" Murasakibara asked.

"Can't be helped." Kuroko said.

"As long as I get to wipe the floor with Rin and Midorima. It's all good." Jusis explained.

"Now, now, Jusis." Kevin said.

"And why are we on the sidelines?" Natsu asked, irritated.

Hinata, Luffy, Naruto, Kouga and Percy (who didn't get to play the entire 3 games) were also irritated for not playing the last 10 minutes.

"We drew straws, genius." Ruby said.

Natsu huffed.

"Ready, Kuroko?" Kagami asked.

"Anytime, Kagami-kun." Kuroko replied.

"Heh. Let the last game begin." Akashi said.

Both teams began with Aomine dribbling the ball before passing to Akashi, being met by Rin.

Akashi did a behind the crossover and passed through Rin with speed, passing to Kuroko who passed to Jusis and attempted to score a three pointer, but Murasakibara blocked the shot as the ball bounced on the ground, which Kise got and passed to Midorima for his Super Three Point Shot, but he quickly passed to Kagami as he knew Akashi was marking him again.

Kagami dribbled and attempted to pass Aomine, but Aomine was quicker and tried to steal the ball. Kagami was able to pass the ball back to Rin and did a fast break for the basket.

But Kevin stood in Rin's way and attempted to block him. Rin managed to stop, but Kuroko appeared out of nowhere and stole the ball from Rin, doing an Ignite Pass Kai to Aomine, catching the bullet-like ball in time.

Soon within just a minute left, Aomine was able to pass through Kagami, Midorima and Murasakibara, and slammed the ball in, scoring the last point before time was up.

(Team Kuroko: 27 | Team Kagami: 25)

"YEAH~!" Aomine, Jusis and Kevin, and even Kuroko and Akashi shouted in unison.

"Tetsu-kun's team wins!" Momoi hollered.

"Nice job, Kuroko!" Natsu hollered.

"You are so cool~!" Kouga, Naruto, Hinata and Ruby hollered in unison, having sparkly-shaped eyes. Luffy was doing the same, but he was too excited to even say a word.

Momoi tackled Kuroko to the ground out of pure joy, to Shima's distress and the laughter of Suguro, Konekomaru, Shiemi, Kuro, Naruko, Laeticia, Izumo, Goku, Percy, Izuku, Takao, Konori and Himuro.

Kagami, Kise, Midorima, Rin and Murasakibara smiled without feeling any emotion of their lost, joining in on the laughter.

In the end, everyone had fun.

That was an amazing chapter, and my first basketball chapter ever written! Wish I could've made it a full 40 minute game, but a half-hour game was a good way for practice so I can do more in the future. The Kuroko's Basketball adventure story will be coming very soon once September rolls around. Big news: only doing 2 more chapters before the summer ends, and it's been a very fun 3 months since doing these Summer Tales for all our heroes to enjoy themselves with games and shenanigans!
