Revised-Part 3

Was re-reading parts and realized I skipped part of my chapter. This is the corrected version.

Later that night after reading to Harriet, she asked the same question. "Mommy, I like Matthew mainly because of Ruby and I miss my friends in Seattle. If we moved for daddy does this mean we are moving back in with him? I wish I didn't have to spend the night in two different beds as we did back home. I didn't like Maggie, she didn't understand daddy and she wasn't very nice to me. Once daddy found nature and he started to believe in some of the same things we believe in."

Apri listened, but much she already knew. She also knew about Jo, but Jackson kept that part of his life away from Harriet. Harriet drifted off to sleep and April wondered what living with Jackson again would be like. There were the implied reasons why she followed him to Boston.

It wasn't too late and she called Jackson and said "I had an eye-opening conversation with our daughter tonight before bedtime.'

"Oh", Jackson replied and held his breath. "What was it about?"

April gave him the details and said, "I think she made some good points. Maybe we should discuss new living arrangements at lunch tomorrow. Goodnight Jackson"

"Goodnight April".

The following morning April drops Harriet off at daycare and starts her day in the ER. It's very busy and April works efficiently. Thankfully there are no small plane crashes, train derailments, or threats at a mall. She waited for Jackson in the cafeteria and made some notes for the board meeting that afternoon.

He arrived with a plate of food slightly better than the fare at GSMH. He gives her a quick peck on the cheek before sliding onto a chair across from her.

He asks to go first, "I know it's been a few months since the move and settling in and my mom has been out a few times and loves seeing Harriet, but she keeps asking about you and Harriet living here. I want you to know that I found a house far enough away with a nice backyard, neighbors, three bedrooms and a playroom for Harriet, and a large kitchen, but also close enough to the hospital for emergencies. I'd like for you and Harriet to move in with me."

April laughs and asks, "what about a man cave?"

Jackson replies, "does that mean yes"

April responds." after sleeping on it overnight, I think it's a good idea for both Harriet and me. I know it will make her very happy."

The board meeting seems like it takes forever and Jackson calls the sitter to pick up Harriet from daycare and takes April out for dinner. Outside in the parking lot, he pulls her in for a long kiss, before getting into their respective cars.

They pay and thank the sitter and Harriet is shoving carrots into her mouth.

She looks up and cries, "Mommy, daddy!"

April sits down and says, "your father and I have something important to tell you."
