A-ah... that just happened... All those years of me feeling regret that I never told her how I felt.
(Flashback)
I was walking home from school one day, when I saw Ruruka, Sonosuke, and Seiko at the playground. They waved me over and I went to them. Seems like they were happy.
"Riki! Guess what?" Ruruka seemed the most happy out of them all. Sonosuke was just chill and Seiko was celebrating with her.
"You seem happy. I guess that means something good happened?"
"Yes! Me and Sonosuke are dating now!"
My heart immediately broke into a million pieces. Are you kidding me?! I didn't even get to tell her!
"A-ah... I'm happy for you! So, who made the first move?" Sonosuke then answered that question.
"Actually, she did. I was a bit surprised myself."

"R-Riki?" I must have looked pale or something because Seiko had felt my pulse. She had calmed me down before; of course she does it again.
"Ah, I'm sorry. I've had a headache for a little while. I'm fine. Please continue." I pretended to be amazed, but really I was jealous.

(Flashback over)
"N-now that I think about it, you didn't do a good job hiding your jealousy." Ruruka seemed to remember the same thing I did.
"W-was it really that obvious?"
"Haha, "I've had a headache for a little while." Sounds like to me you were really jealous. It's okay. You look really cute when your jealous."
"T-There you go teasing me again." She loves to find moments to tease me, as usual.
"I-I wasn't teasing."
"H-huh?"
"I wasn't teasing you. I really meant what I said."

"To tell you truth Riki, I had feelings for you too. But I thought you liked Seiko, so I never told you."
Wait, really? Wow, so we both had the same thing in mind. Who would have ever thought she actually had some common sense? Well, it's true me and Seiko were very close in elementary school. And I did like her, but she was always so busy I never told her. I just seem to have a history of falling for people so quickly. That's how I felt about most of the girls here at Hope's Peak Academy. But I know it's wishful thinking to have a harem. And I don't really like polygamy anyways.
"I guess we had the same idea, just different people." It was getting a bit quiet, so I broke the silence. She giggled a bit, then looked serious.
"S-So what about us? Are we an item?" Ahh, I figured it would come to this. On one hand, I want to say yes. I would finally be with the girl of my dreams. She's really beautiful and charming.
But... I know what the correct option is. There's a reason fate has its way.
"As much as I would want to say yes, it wouldn't be for the right reason. I think the right person for you is Sonosuke. We'll talk to him tomorrow, ok?" She nodded.
"So, this kiss meant nothing?"
"I wouldn't say it meant nothing. At least we got some closure on how we felt about each other. I know I wanted to do that at least once. Plus, I'm glad you stole my first kiss..." When I said that, she seemed satisfied.
"Heehee! I did steal your first kiss! Then that's fine with me! Don't tell that to your future girlfriend though."
"Noted." We laughed a bit and talked about old memories.
As we were walking, we saw Seiko running up to us. Where did she go?
"H-Hey Ruruka. Hi Riki. When did you get here?"
"Oh, honestly, I had seen the entire thing happen from afar. I was at a cafe and I had just left when I heard the commotion."
"O-Oh. Sorry you had to see that."
"No, it's fine. I just hope that our friendship doesn't get ruined because of this."
"Yeah, me too. I really want him back..." Ruruka looked down.
"Don't worry Ruruka. I had talked to him, and hopefully he changes his mind later on." Yeah, me too.
As we were talking, me and Ruruka had looked at each other. Should we tell her? She signaled to me not to say anything about it, which I noted and stayed quiet.
After a while, Seiko and Ruruka walked home together, so it was just me alone again. When I was sure that they were gone, I touched my lips. The softness of her lips came back to me. It felt... sweet.
Hope's Peak Academy
3:30 P.M.
Reserve Course Building, Classroom 2-D
A week later...
Alright, exams are finally over! Let's go! I'm certain I am at least in the top 5; I wouldn't be a honor student for no reason.
"You seem happy." Hajime walked over to me.
"Of course, man. We can finally relax and have some fun!"
"You got any ideas for fun? I could use a break."
Just as we were about to look for some answers, Natsumi walked over to us.
"Hey, Mr. Bushida said we had to head to the headmaster's office." Really?
"What for?" Hajime was curious.
"I don't know, but it sounded serious. We should head there now."
We headed over there. When we got there, two people were already there. Makoto and Chiaki. Wonder what this is...
"Ah, welcome. These two have an announcement for you three. Listen to them, will you?" Chiaki made the first move.
"Ah, so as you know. We just finished exams, so have you three. The class is going on a trip and we can bring some people. Unfortunately, I couldn't bring all of you, so I chose Hajime and Natsumi to come with us. Sorry Riki." She seemed really sad I couldn't be there.
"It's okay. You have a mission to complete anyways." I winked at her, telling her what to do. She seemed to get the message and smiled at me. "So, that means I'm going with you Makoto?"
"Yep! You already met a few of the girls, but the others are really cool as well! You'll have a great time!"
"Alright, let's do this!" I high fived him.
"Oh, one other thing." The headmaster had something to say. "Ms. Yukizome will be with Makoto's class. You get the other teacher, Koichi. It's so we can create a bond between you all. That's all. Have some fun!"
Akihabara, Japan
1:00 P.M.
A day later...
We just landed. Makoto really slept through that whole ride. Heh, lucky guy. As we left the airport, I stayed behind a bit. It wasn't that I didn't want to talk, but I felt out of place. I don't know why I felt like that. Makoto must have realized, because he stopped and grabbed my arm.
"M-Makoto?"
"C'mon, your a part of us too!" Guess I am now... Everyone was chatting with me, really wanting to know more. Maybe this will be good after all.
We headed to the hotel where we will be staying. Ms. Yukizome went through the rules with us.
"Okay, so here's the rules. Boys with boys, girls with girls. Don't think I don't see you!" Most of the girls groaned. I guess they wanted Makoto. Haha! "Also, Riki, your pairing up with me! Hope you don't mind." Wait, what? Now that I think about it, there's an uneven number of boys and girls, so there was bound for a guy and a girl to pair up. Did she plan that or was it just a coincidence that I was invited?
"H-hey! How come he gets to pair up with you?!" Hina seemed really upset for some reason.
"Right, this seems a bit unfair, don't you think?" Even Celeste?!
"I say he makes his own decision!" Even Junko was mad?!
"Oh, come on! You know you already have your partners decided anyways. Hina and Sakura, Celeste and Toko, Sayaka and Kyoko. Of course, Junko and Mukuro."
They couldn't make a comeback. Guess she was correct.
"Same for the guys. Taka and Mondo. Makoto and Chihiro. Byakuya and Hiro. Hifumi and Leon. Am I wrong?"
"Yeah, but why do I get Hifumi?" Ah, the baseball star is in this class too? The more you know. "Hence, Riki is staying with me. Have fun guys! Come on Riki."
She held my hand and dragged me to our room, while the others were upset. Guess she already had it planned out. When we got there, she greeted me.
"Hi, Riki. It's nice to finally meet you! Chiaki has told me all about you. I thank you for being her friend and making her feel more confident!"

It took me a full minute to process what she just said. That's a guy? But then, why is he wearing a dress? Is he not ready to tell anybody yet?
But mainly, I just called him cute and adorable in my mind! Argh.. that's not gonna go away for a while.
"Have you told everybody yet?" I decided to ask.
"I only told you three and Makoto. I'm not ready to tell everyone yet. Plus, I'm scared of what Junko will say." Ahh, I figured Junko was a bit troublesome.
"If Junko says anything wrong, I'll be there to defend you." I suddenly blurted that out.
"R-Really?"
"I know I'm in the Reserve Course, but I'll run out of class for you guys. Screw the suspension and all that. Let's exchange phone numbers."
We all did just that and soon, it was time to head back. When I got back into the hotel, I ran into Leon and Sayaka at the couches, who were kissing each other. Wait, when did they start dating? I thought she didn't have a boyfriend. Then again, that was about a month ago; anything could have happened in that time span. Should I intervene? Just as I was thinking about it, they stopped and stared at me. I decided to playfully tease.
"Ew, get a room, you two!" I said it in a joking manner.
"Hey, you shouldn't be staring anyways, Bruno Mars." He grinned a bit.
"Haha, so you liked the show too?"
"Of course I did dude! I never knew you had talent like that. I'm Leon Kuwata. Nice to meet ya."

"Hey guys! How did you enjoy the first day?"
"It was excellent Makoto! Thanks for planning this!" Sayaka hugged him.
"Yeah man, this was a great idea to relax after those exams." Leon was happy as well.
"Yep, I think I could get used to being in the Main Course." I joked.
"Cool! W-Well, I'm gonna go relax now. Riki, let's play some games before we go to sleep?"
"Sure. Well bye Leon, Sayaka!" We waved to them and we went to the game room. When we got there, Makoto was a bit... nervous.
"S-Sorry Riki, I'm still processing the fact that they are together..."
"Wait, you had a crush on Sayaka?"
"Y-Yeah, we were in the same middle school. I rescued a crane and she took notice of it. Even though we were in completely different classes, she still recognized me despite that. I had gotten attracted to her after a while. But when I had went to tell her, I saw them kissing."
"Aw, I'm sorry man. I know how that feels."
"Really?"
"Yeah, It's happened to me before. Although my was more of a "love at first sight" thing. Besides the point though; I'll tell you more about it later on. Continue on."
"So when I had seen them, I just couldn't speak up. Then I turned pale and passed out. When I woke up a hour later, they were both there helping me. They asked me what happened. So that's when I had told them everything. And then I apologized."
"Hm? What did you have to apologize for though?"
"For having feelings for her in the first place..."

I started laughing loudly.
"H-Hey! What's so funny?!"
"I'm sorry man. But, I'm sure they told you that you weren't at fault dude. That's just like you. I'm not teasing you or anything. And besides, Sayaka still loves you, just as a best friend. And you've been friends with Leon for a while. So don't worry man."
"Y-Your right. They said exactly what you had said. I got worked up for nothing. I'm really happy for them." He finally gave his trademark smile.
"See there you go! And besides, there's plenty of other girls for you man. Hey, I have an idea. Let's head to the amusement park. It'll take your mind off of it for a bit."
"That sounds good. Thank you Riki!"
"No problem man. Let's get some rest then."
We went our separate ways.
When I got back to our dorm room, I had accidentally went in without knocking. And I seen Ms. Yukizome naked. Blushing furiously, I closed the door in a hurry. Why did I do that? I'm so inconsiderate-
"Riki? You can come in, you know."
"B-But-"
"I don't mind if it's you."
I walked back in and sure enough, she was still naked. I made sure to cover my eyes though, just for her to take them off and made me look at her naked body.
"Y-You know that I'm w-way younger than y-you right?"
"Yes, but this is really trivial. Besides, I think you deserve a reward for doing so much for my students. Hm? I think someone's a bit excited." She starting blushing, but had a lusty smile. She was looking at my... Uhm... No! Don't even think about it!
"Ah, I'm sorry Yukizome-sensei-" She covered my mouth.
"Chisa. Just call me Chisa, okay?" She said in a flirting tone.
"O-okay Chisa." Man, she does look beautiful. Too bad she's a teacher. After a while, she was done teasing me(is that a good or bad thing for me?) and finally changed into her pajamas. Whew...
"So, how was your first day?"
"It was cool. This place is really amazing. I have to thank Makoto for setting this up."
"Yeah, he is really nice and he listens to everyone. Even a teacher like me."
"Hey, can I talk to you for a bit?"
"Sure! What is it?"
"I know you know me because of Chiaki, but I feel like you already knew me before then. Do you?"
"Well, I'll tell you, but keep it a secret, okay?" I nodded. "The truth is, I knew you and Hajime because you both were candidates for the Izuru Kamukura project." Wait, I was going to be the next candidate for the project?
"Hmm... wait what do you mean we were both candidates? I thought it was only Hajime."
"Wait, do you already know about the project?"
"Uh... yeah, the headmaster told me, but he never said anything about there being a second candidate."
"The headmaster didn't know either. This was between the Committee in the Reserve Course. Had Hajime chosen to go through with it, you would have been next to him, doing the same thing. It was going to be a co-assignment, they said. Who knows what they really were planning to do to you two? But he refused it, because of you. See, even when you don't know it, you change people's lives. You really are something special, Riki." She blushed a bit.
"C-Chisa..." Argh, she's very attractive. Why can't I just be a normal high school student? "Is that why you chose to pair up with me?"
"Well, I already knew who they were gonna pair up with beforehand. You coming just made it easier to me. I didn't want to be alone after all."
"You are definitely more wild and carefree than I thought you were. Not like it's a bad thing though. It's a refreshing trait." She then gave me a kiss on the cheek. H-huh?
"Haaa, Riki. You know how to make a girl happy, you know that? It's such a shame I already love someone else, otherwise I'd choose you in a heartbeat."
"W-Well, wouldn't the age be a factor?"
"Yeah, but I would bypass that if it meant being with the one I love." I have a feeling that she will continue to support me no matter what. Even when we are far apart, she'll be there for me. Whoever she loves already must be a lucky guy.
We got in our beds, but she then shook her head and got in my bed. Then she cuddled up with me.
"C-Chisa?"
"Just for tonight, okay? Consider this your reward for making a girl like me feel like a million dollars." She blushed again at me. I decided to be bold and gave her a kiss on the forehead, which surprised her greatly.
"Good night, Chisa."
"G-Good night, Riki."
As I fell asleep, I wondered how Hajime and Natsumi were doing on their adventure.

And Chisa had her leg around my body, making me more aroused than ever! Cheeky teacher; she knew what she was doing!

11:30 A.M.
Amusement Park
A day later...
After Chisa made me explode in embarrassment, I had gotten changed and went to wait for Makoto at the entrance of the hotel. Once we saw each other, we started the day.
As promised, Me and Makoto went to the amusement park. We decided to get an early start on today, so we could have other activities ready later on.
"Alright man! Let's take advantage of your lucky status and win some prizes!"
"That's what we are here for?!"
I had took him to the ring toss. I pointed at the teddy bear.
"Here we go. You could win this for someone special. Give it a try."
The first ring he threw, it went all over the tent. Then it went like a boomerang. The wind pushed it back into the hardest bottle. The prize.
"See, I told ya buddy! Good job!" He picked the teddy bear. "So, who is the special someone your giving it to?"

"I-I think I'm going to give it to Kyoko." Really? I wouldn't have thought he would give it to her. No offense to her, but she seems really into her own world with her detective duties and such.
Well, just on cue, look who showed up.
"Well, hello there Kirigiri-san."
"Hello, Riki-kun. You don't have to call me that. Kyoko is okay. So, what are you two doing here?"
"We were playing some games and Makoto won on the first try! Can you believe it?"
"I-It was just luck, that's all."
"Exactly! Give yourself some credit." Then I gave him a little push to her.
"H-Here, this is for you." He gave her the teddy bear. Just for a second, I swear I saw Kyoko blush a bit.
"T-Thank you Makoto. T-This means a lot to me." Uncharacteristically, she hugs him. He returned the hug back.
"Well, I have to go, but I-I hope we can see each other again today." She was really blushing now.
"O-of course. Movies?"
"I'd love that. Bye Makoto, Riki." She walked off with a big smile on her face.
"Aww congratulations, man! That's what I'm talking about!"
"T-thank you Riki!"
We kept walking through, riding some rides and all that. Man, today was productive and fun! What more could you ask?!
After a while, it was 4:40 P.M. We were there for quite a while.
"Let's split up here. I have a date with K-Kyoko."
"Of course dude. Have fun!" Me and Makoto separated. Now it's just me again. Well, what to do now... As I was pondering this, someone bumped into me. She had glasses and purple hair.
"H-Hey! W-Why are you j-just s-standing there?"
"Ah, I'm sorry. I was lost in thought. What's your name?"
"H-hmph. J-Just getting to that p-point huh? I-I bet you t-think I'm u-ugly!"
"W-what? No, I don't think that at all. I think your beautiful in your own way." Geez, this girl has no confidence in herself. Why, I wonder?
"R-Really? You do? A-Ah... I'm s-sorry then. I'm T-Toko Fukawa."

"Ha, looks like the commoner meets the filthy. What an interesting pair." This guy, he's pretty arrogant. Makoto said he doesn't seem bad once you know him though.

"Byakuya Togami. You would do well to remember this name Riki."

"N-nooo." I dragged her with me to the showers back at the hotel. I made sure she took one before she left. After I smelled her to make sure, I let her leave.
"D-did you r-really have to s-s-smell m-me?"
"It was necessary. Why don't you take showers often?"
"Do you really want to know?"
"Yes, I do."

"M-Maybe another t-time. You'd be g-grossed out a-anyways."
"Okay, I'll be waiting then Toko."
As we went our separate ways, I noticed a tiny smile on her face. See, that's progress. Little, but progress.
Oops, I forgot to get the photograph. I ran back up to her and made sure to get them.

8:30 P.M.
Movie Theater
Junko's POV
Haha! I knew I made a perfect fucking plan to go to the movie theater! Mukuro just watched her crush fall in love with a detective! Now maybe she'll fucking calm down about him and go through with our plan!
We watched as Makoto and Kyoko left us. I admit, the movie wasn't half bad. Still, not like I didn't predict the ending. It was coming from a mile away. Mukuro had despair written all in her eyes. I think I can initiate Phase 1.
"Well Mukuro, are you finally convinced he doesn't freaking like you?"
"I-I..."
"Are you still gonna be his friend or something? Get over it!"

...
Ahh, still gonna be by his side eh? Well, whatever. At least she has a reason to start now.
Just when we were leaving the theater, I saw Riki walking to the Tokyo Skytree. This was my perfect chance.
"Let's go talk to Riki. I think we'll have an interesting talk."
As we went to him, I couldn't help but notice that he has an aura around him.
An aura that can cure anything around him, even with the circumstances surrounding him. That's why he helped Natsumi, got Makoto to be more confident, hell even Toko took a shower for fucking once!

Riki's POV
It's a bit funny. Who would have thought I experienced some of my best days here at the academy? It's all love here. Junko and Mukuro later showed up, the former on my left, and the latter on my right.
"One day, I think I'd like to be an actor. I want to experience that life, y'know?"
"That's a good dream. I think you'd be able to achieve that Riki." Aww, who knew Mukuro could be so nice? I smiled at her.
"Thank you Mukuro. Whatever dreams you have, you achieve it with no problem either." She blushed a bit.
"R-Really?"
"Yes, if there is any problem, then Junko and I will help you tackle the problem no matter what."
"T-Thank you..." She blushed a good amount that her face was a bit red.
"What about me Riki? Don't you like the wonderful fashionista and what she has planned?"
"Of course, I think you are set for a great life too! I'm kinda surprised you two don't have boyfriends." They looked at each other for a bit, and they blushed hard. Then Junko would twist the question back to me.
"Well, how come YOU don't have a girlfriend?" Junko was winking at me. Now it was my turn to blush hard.
"G-Guess there are many questions unanswered for now."
After that, they both got closer to me and Junko had grabbed my left arm to put it around her. Mukuro would do the same with my right arm. U-Uhm... did these two already fall for me? Maybe they just felt generous today.
Either way honestly, I couldn't tell you how happy it made me to come here. I couldn't ask for better friends!
