Chapter 7: An Angry Ninja.
[Luz and Co. arrive in the middle of nowhere, the three Hexside students look around in confusion wondering where they are]
Amity: (turning to Luz) Luz, why are we in the middle of nowhere?
Arthur: You three are probably wondering why we are in the middle of nowhere?
[Gus, Willow and Amity, all look at Arthur, in shock]
Arthur: We have this saying in the human realm. Don't judge a book by its cover. (gestures to Luz) Luz like we practiced?
[Luz moves in front of everyone, and takes a deep breath, clearing her mind, and unleashing the aura within her]
Gus: Whaaaaa?
Willow: What?
[Amity stares in amazement, she had never seen Luz, do something like that before. After all the time she spent with her, she knew she did not have magic, but seeing her use her new found powers was a sight to behold.]
Amity: How is sh-
[A barrier appears in front of them and opens up revealing the homebase of Shatter squad, The Mother of Fortitude]
Arthur: (nudges Eda's shoulder) What do you think?
Eda: I'd say she's doing good. Better than anything I could teach her.
[Everyone enters the base and the barrier closes behind them, Willow walks up to Arthur]
Willow: Arthur was it? Aren't you worried about anyone finding this place? Or breaking in?
Arthur: Not so much, only people with Spirit Power can unlock the barrier. People who don't have can just walk through the place without us being detected.
Willow: Impressive.
[Gus runs up to Luz]
Gus: Luz, that was amazing, how did you do that and where did you learn that kind of magic, I've never seen anything like that before!
Luz: It's something I unlocked a few weeks back.
Amity: Is this where you all have been the whole time? All those times you would leave, and you being tired during school?
Luz: That's from doing everything they put me through.
Gus: Who's they?
Arthur: The other humans that are here.
[Gus's ears twitch after hearing those two words. "Other humans", did he hear that right, were there more humans other than Luz and Arthur on the Boiling Isles. The thought of there being others just makes him feel a burst of excitement.]
Gus: There are others?! Can I meet them?! Would they be interested if I could interview them?! Can you all do the things Luz did just now?! Is it possible for me to look around this whole whatever this place is and take some of it to school with me?!
Arthur: (confused but cheerful) To answer your questions; Yes, everyone but Kotoha, yes, and you can look all you like but no touching.
Gus: Aw.
West: ARTHUR!
[Everyone turns to West, the three student with lock of shock seeing a big human for the first time, as for everyone else it looked normal seeing him for the past few weeks]
Arthur: Commander.
West: I'm guessing your prediction was right. They do multiply.
Arthur: Yeah, but I didn't suspect there to be three.
West: Arthur, are you sure they can help us?
Arthur: Well Luz, did say they could fight. Right Luz?
Luz: Yeah, my friends are the strongest witches I know, they can help us with your mission.
Amity: Wait what? What's happening?
West: Well I'll just give them the debriefing and you head to training with Arthur.
Luz: You got it. Come on Arthur let's do this! This Mama is ready for action!
Arthur: Calm down Luz, today is a special training day, so expect the unexpected.
[Both Luz and Arthur walk to the training Hall while the rest just stand there and watch them go.]
Amity: Lu-
[West stops her]
West: Wait a minute kid. I want to learn more about all of you. Just quick. If you would follow me we can get started.
[West walks the other way and everyone follows him, as for Amity, she sees Luz and Arthur getting along swellingly, she clenches her first and face starts turning red in anger. She thinks to herself]
Amity: (First there is a guy named A.X.E.L. and now there is this guy! Why do they make it look so easy! Does Luz like these...humans?! I'm getting to the bottom of this)
King: Hey Cupcake smasher?!
[King yells out Amity's name]
King: Hey! Hey!
[Amity finally hears it]
Amity: Huh?!
King: Are you coming or what?!
[Amity looks back seeing her crush and sighs in defeat]
Amity: Yeah, I'm coming.
[Amity follows King into the meeting room with everyone else inside, as they enter the room, the three witchlings take a few glances inside the room. Gus running around excited with all the human treasures with Willow and Amity watching him. And West lets out a grunt as they get down to business.]
West: So you are the witch friends that Luz has told me about.
[Amity and Willow turn to him with curiosity, while Gus on the other hand takes a good look at the screens and buttons]
Amity: I have questions for you. Who and what are you people? And how come Luz never told us about you?
A.X.E.L.: We told her to keep this place a secret. But from what Luz told us. We thought and agreed, we could gather some fighters from this dimension for a specific task.
Willow: What kind of task?
Raymond: Hunting down armour pieces.
[everyone looks at Raymond]
Amity: Just hunting pieces of armour? That's it?
Raymond: Okay let me explain, a few weeks before we came here. There was an attack at one of our bases,
[Raymond opens a giant holoscreen showing footage of the massacre the Meta Syndicate layed upon the soldiers at the base]
Gus: WHOA!
Raymond: This group known as the Meta Syndicate, were after an artefact that Arthur and I were meant to bring in. The soldiers tried to hold them off, but a lot of lives were lost. And Meta got away. That attack that happened two weeks ago at the market was also by two members of the Meta.
[Shows footage of Tank destroying the Market]
Raymond: Just so happens Luz was caught in the fight.
[shows footage of Luz fighting Tank]
A,W,G: What?!
Willow: Eda, you guys were there when this happened?!
Eda: I was, but that big guy knocked me out good. I couldn't do anything to stop the him.
[Raymond keeps playing the footage]
Raymond: Thankfully Luz was able to unlock her Spirit just in the nick of time.
[The screen shows Luz unlocking her Spirit Power for the first time, and Amity watches as her Fearless Champion shines bright in battle, amazed with her, Amity thinks to herself]
Amity: (You never cease to amaze me Luz).
[The footage continues playing]
Raymond: Thankfully we managed to get our objective in time. And we recruited her to our team.
[As Raymond finishes his presentation, Gus runs up to him with a sparkle in his eyes]
Gus: How did you do that, was it Magic, or this "technology" Luz keeps speaking of?!
Raymond: Well its hard to explain up front but I would be happy to show you how I did it later.
Gus: Deal! I'm Gus by the way.
Raymond: I know, Augustus Porter,
[Raymond puts up a profile of Gus on a holoscreen]
Raymond: a member of the illusion track at Hexside, and former president of the Human Appreciation society trying to understand the human world. And luckily.
[Raymond puts out the holoscreen]
Raymond: I would be happy to show you more stuff. Name's Raymond. Super Cool Tech Guy at your service.
[As Raymond points his thumb to himself with a confident look]
Amity: Hang on a second, why would you involve Luz in this exactly. And what does this have to do with us?
[Coco puts her hands on the young Blight's shoulders]
Coco: Well sweetie, since Luz unlocked her spirit. We thought it would be a good asset for us. We are need of more allies right now and we were impressed with what Luz did out there against Tank. And we were even considering taking her on our next mission.
[Kotoha suddenly stops sharpening her kunai]
West: basically our main objective is collecting an armour. We have a feeling that the piece Meta stole from the base was a part of it. So the reason they are here is because the rest of the pieces are located across the Boiling Isles.
Willow: And our part in this is what exactly.
A.X.E.L.: Well we figured from what Luz told us, your powers seem to be extraordinary. So we were hoping you guys would help us. And from our eyes. You guys may have the same power Luz has.
Willow: You mean Spirit Power?
Coco: Exactly.
[Kotoha pierces her blade in the ground]
Kotoha: *anger* NOW HOLD ON A SECOND!
[Kotoha yells and gets everyone's attention]
Kotoha: YOU GUYS ARE ACTUALLY CONSIDERING PUTTING IN SOME KIDS WITH NO EXPERIENCE OUT IN THE FIELD. THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO PROVE THEMSELVES. IN MY EYES THEY COULD BE A BUNCH OF LOSERS, WHO WOULD HOLD US BACK!
A.X.E.L.: Kotoha!
[Kotoha turns to A.X.E.L.]
Kotoha: OH DON'T YOU START A.X.E.L.! EVEN YOU HAD YOUR DOUBTS ABOUT THE LITTLE WANNABE WITCH
King: Hey don't speak about my friend like that!
[Kotoha turns to King and goes down to his level]
Kotoha: Oh please! What's a little dog like you going to do about it. You guys can't even take me down as you are right now!
King: Oh yeah! Luz has been working hard! I bet she could beat you right now!
Lilith: King, that's enough.
Kotoha: So you think, that girl can take me down?
Eda: Hey don't you dare put a finger on my kid! Insulting her is one thing. But if you dare hurt her so help me!
Kotoha: *snicker* What you don't believe in her.
Eda: That's not what I meant.
Kotoha: Well if you believe in her you would think she can take me!
West: Kotoha, stand down!
Kotoha: Shut up boss! I'm going to prove to you all that these "Witches" will only hold us back!
[Kotoha walks out of the room and walks angrily to the training center, Arthur and Luz continue training and kotoha interupts]
Arthur: Kotoha what are you doing he-
[Kotoha pushes Arthur out of the way and summons to two twin bladed swords! And points one of them at Luz]
Luz: Hey what's wrong with you!
Kotoha: I don't care about what good things they say. I think you're just someone that will hold us back! And I'm going to prove it right now! That you "witches" are nothing but weak!
Luz: Wait where is this coming from!
[Kotoha's sky blue Aura flares from her body, and a man with red hair flowing in the air with a green suit and a circular blade floating around his body]
Kotoha: Spirit Power! Storm God of Mischief, Susano'o
Arthur: Kotoha! Stand down!
Kotoha: Arthur get the hell out of my way!
Arthur: Kotoha!
Luz: Arthur wait. I can take her!
[Arthur turns back in shock]
Arthur: Luz are you sure?! You can't even keep up your Spirit for an hour yet?!
[Everyone enters the room trying to stop the match from happening]
Luz: I don't know what's going on with her, but if it's a fight she wants. Then it's a fight I'm going to give her.
[Amity and Eda, look in worry, thinking about the trouble that Luz could get into]
Amity: Luz!
Arthur: Alright!
[everyone is shocked by Arthur's response]
Arthur: I believe in you. But if you get hurt, I'll come running.
[Luz smiles at him]
Luz: You don't need to think about it. I got this!
Arthur: But before the match can start, I suggest changing into your combat uniform!
Luz: Combat uniform?
[Arthur calls out Raymond]
Arthur: Raymond, is it ready?
[Raymond blinks a couple of times and responds nervously]
Raymond: Oh Luz's combat uniform? Yeah but we were going to give it when-
Arthur: Well it's too late for that. Now is a better time!
Raymond: Alright. But if the boss is okay with this then I'l go get it.
[everyone turns to West waiting for the approval for this matchup]
West: Luz are you sure you can handle this?
[Luz nods to show that she is confident enough to take on Kotoha]
West: Eda?
[Eda thinks to herself for a while and thinks about the different scenarios Luz could get into. Some of them she gets hurt, some of them she strains herself, but most of them ending up getting her killed. But as she looks at Luz's face of confidence, she thinks about what Kotoha said, that she has to believe in her]
Eda: Alright.
King: What?!
Lilith: Edalyn, are you sure about this?!
Eda: We gotta believe in her. If she thinks she can take her. I can't stop her. But if she gets killed out there, I'll take care of her myself.
West: Fine then, I approve of this matchup! Get her the outfit Raymond!
Raymond: You got it boss.
[Raymond taps his brace summoning a briefcase, he runs to Luz and gives it to her]
Raymond: This is your combat uniform, after taking your measurements a few days ago..
[Amity listens to that statement and begins to blush]
Raymond: ..I've made this uniform from some things in your closet, a bit of steel silk for protection, and added some tweaks myself, I wish I could give you the run down.
Luz: It's fine. I think I'll figure it out.
[Luz opens the brief case revealing her combat uniform]
Kotoha: Hey, put it on and let's get this over with!
[a few minutes later. Luz comes out in her new Combat Outfit. With white boots that have a pattern of the legs of her Hexside uniform, her jean shorts with grey and black leggings underneath. A purple jacket with white pockets, gray top sleeves, and on the bottom of the sleeves are her arm parts of her hexside uniform, and pouch where she has many glyphs, and to top it off, the purple cape she used to save Eda from the Emperor. Amity blushes by the mere sight of her crush's outfit while everyone else is impressed, Arthur and Raymond especially.]
A.X.E.L.: Are you both ready to do this?!
[Standing in front of her is Kotoha dawning a Yellowish green Kunoichi uniform with Redish Orange streak on chest. With a same colored sash on her waist, separate sleeves on her arms, white scarf and a white ninja body suit underneath.
Kotoha: *grins* Let's do this!
Luz: I'm ready!
A.X.E.L.: For a fight like this, there is no killing. Only way to win, drop your opponents Spirit levels, or knock them out of the circle. Well if both fighters are ready! You may begin! Good luck!
Luz and Kotoha: SPIRIT POWER!
Luz: The Good Witch, Azura!
Kotoha: Storm God of Mischief, Susano'o!
[Both warrior girl's auras burst of their bodies with a smile under Kotoha's mask and a serious look on Luz's face]
Luz and Kotoha:` I won't be needing it!
