Chapter 13: The First Mission part 4
[Many events have escalated over the Conformitorium, West fighting Tank, A.X.E.L. battling Wrath, King unlocking his Spirit Power, and now we continue with Arthur and West struggling to keep up with the two members of the Meta in front of them, not only were they skilled fighters and had powerful spirits, they also had fragments of the Alpha with them, and the fight continues, Viper stopping time and aims for Arthur's throat, but somehow Arthur was able to react in time.]
Viper: *interested* This is...curious.
Arthur: Where did you get that power?!
Viper: hmm?
Arthur: *angry* THAT POWER, HOW DID YOU GET IT?!
Viper: Well if I told you, it would only add more heat to the flame. But I wouldn't be worried too much. After all.
[Arthur grips his fist, and grits his teeth in anger]
Viper: *frowns* I think you know the answer to that.
Arthur: *gasp*
[Arthur has a quick realization, and begins to yell]
Arthur: *angry* YOU BITCH!
Tank: DIE!
[Tank forward kicks him, forcing him to fly across the room, he lands on his back and has trouble getting up]
West: Arthur, don't let them get to your head!
[West runs and kneel to his position]
Arthur: But Slayer, they have the Titan's fragments! You know what that means!
West: Being angry won't get you anywhere! We have to keep fighting!
[Arthur gets up slowly and grabs his sword]
Arthur: *pfft* Fine!
[Tank and Viper circle the both of them, making the two members of Shatter Squad to go back to back, Viper makes the first move and goes for West, but Arthur parries her blades with his, jumping over West and exchanging slashes with her, Tank then moves in and attempts to perform a sneak attack, West grabs Tank's fist and belts the giant in his face, Tank pulls on West's arm and forces him to turn around kicking him in the back, Arthur notices and jumps over his commander once more and attacks Tank, while West runs towards Viper, grabs her and attempts to slam her into the ground, she somehow escapes by turning into a bolt of lightning, holds onto his arm and throws him down, West then kicks up and performs a spinning back kick on her landing a hit for the first time. She is thrown 6 feet away but manages to land on all fours, she wipes her face and spits on the ground]
Viper: *pewt* Not bad. But it's not enough.
[Viper transforms into a lightning bolt once more and makes her way to West, but West then senses a presence and closes his eyes, a few seconds pass and Viper reemerges]
Viper: *frowns* Any last words old man.
[West opens his eyes]
West: No, but it should be my line!
Viper: huh?
[Multiple Shurikens and fireballs appear out of nowhere and are targeted at Viper, but she wouldn't let stuff like that hit her, so she forms into a bolt once more and escapes the fireball and shuriken rain]
West: It's about time you two got here.
[Making their appearance, Luz and Kotoha landing on the ground softly, and readying their weapons]
Luz: Sorry we're late Slayer, we had a little talk.
[Luz smiles at her ally, Kotoha doesn't mind it and pretends to ignore it, West turns to attention to Kotoha]
West: Kami, I'm guessing you and Owlet have settled your differences.
[Kotoha puts her attention towards Viper]
Kotoha: For now, at least until we finish off Viper, and complete the mission.
[Luz being completely shocked after hearing that statement, she thought they were friends already]
Luz: *shocked* Wait, that's not what we agreed upon!
Kotoha: And when we are done with Viper, Owlet you'll be my next rival!
[Luz sighs in embarrassment]
Luz: (I thought things were good between us, but right now I guess it's better than nothing) Slayer, permission for the both of us to take on Viper.
[West, smirks at the idea]
West: Kami, are you up for this?
Kotoha: Just give her the damn permission!
[West then chuckles a little bit]
West: Very well, you have my permission!
[Luz and Kotoha take their fighting stances, and Viper comes in hot. And reemerges again, Kotoha makes the first move by summoning her spirit]
Kotoha: Susano'o!
[he emerges and shoots lightning out of his palms, Viper reacts quickly and avoids being shocked, while she was distracted Kotoha forms symbols on her hands]
Kotoha: God's Ninjutsu! Illusion style! Shadow Clone Two Fold!
[Two Shadow Clones emerge and run towards Viper,
Kotoha: Owlet!
Luz: On it!
[Luz flies on her staff and follows the clones, she awakens her aura, and summons her Spirit as well]
Luz: Azura!
[She uses Azura's power and forms an Ice wall, and snowboards with her staff, Viper reemerges in front of the ice wall]
Viper: What?!
Luz: RAGH!
[Luz then grabs her staff, spins and whacks her in the face, and the clones following it up with attacking at once, one by one they deliver a flurry of punches and kicks, but Viper blocks them pushing each of them back in a pattern, then Luz joins the patterns with her light glyph blade swinging and spinning it like a fighting staff, tired of competing with three at once, she decides to go to the source of the clones]
Viper: *sighs* Enough of this. Time Stop!
[Time suddenly freezes, and she makes her way towards Kotoha]
Viper: Let's just end this.
[Viper then slashes Kotoha and unfreezes time, but to her surprise it was a clone]
Viper: What?
[The clones disappears then the real Kotoha comes from behind her and pins her to the ground]
Viper: So you pretended to be a clone fighting me, how cute.
Kotoha: I got tricks better than that.
[Viper once more turns into a bolt of lightning and pins Kotoha back]
Viper: Guess I was right, still trying to fight me only to prove yourself. What are you going to do now?
[Kotoha is scared of being pinned down once more, but then she looks at Luz nodding at her, Kotoha then takes a deep breath and smirks behind her mask, and puts on a scared yet courageous face]
Kotoha: Well..I may try to prove myself and end up failing. But there is one thing I did prove to you tonight.
Viper: And what's that?
Kotoha: That my best was enough. Enough to be a pretty good distraction.
Viper: Hmm?
[Luz creates fire glyphs and aim at Viper]
Luz: Fire in the whole!
[She projects the fire towards her, and scorches some of her armor]
Viper: AGH!
[Luz then forms symbols on her hands]
Luz: Lightning style! Lightning Blade!
[Luz then strikes Viper on the stomach throwing her back]
Viper: *pant* Ninjutsu! *pant* *pant* how did you?!
[Luz then picks up Kotoha]
Luz: *serious* It wasn't perfect, but the new ability I gained came with a few new tricks.
Kotoha: *serious* That didn't look like a proper lighting blade.
Luz: Huh?
[Kotoha puts her hand on Luz's shoulder]
Kotoha: *serious* Looked more like a dagger to me.
Luz: *cheerful* I'll take it.
[The two continue to chatter on about the technique Luz performed, in the meantime Arthur jumps backwards and takes a good look at his proclaimed little sisters.]
Arthur: *glad* hmm, knew those two would get along.
Tank: Luz Noceda!
[Arthur is then aware that Tank is going to attack Luz]
Arthur: *screaming* Luz watch out!
[Luz and Kotoha notices the giant charging at them, as soon as he closes in, Luz and Kotoha split up and dodge him, but to Kotoha's surprise Viper sneaks up in front of her and throws sand in her face]
Kotoha: Damnit! I can't see!
Luz: Hey! That's playing dirty!
Tank: That's a fight for ya, everything goes!
[Luz jumps out of the way in time before Tank smashes his fist into the ground causing an earthquake, meanwhile A.X.E.L. feels the vibrations around him]
A.X.E.L.: heheh, Hoo boy. Whatever they're doing has to be that serious. I better go back them up!
[A.X.E.L. is found sitting on a Warden Wrath, tangled in his own tentacles covered in bruises and surrounded by multiple Coven guards lying on the ground knockout, A.X.E.L. gets off his seat and begins to follow the commotion, Luz tries to reach Kotoha as much as she can, but Tank pushes her out of the way, and is about to smash Kotoha, Luz reaches her hand out]
Luz: Kami! (I have to do something)
[Her Aura begins to glow lightish blue, and the white light begins to speak in her head]
White Light: Perhaps I could be of some help.
Luz: How?
White Light: That new power you received, reading memories and learning techniques is not all you can do.
[Luz sees a path towards Kotoha and she reaches out to her]
Luz: I'm coming, Kotoha.
[Kotoha struggles in her head but then is hugged by Luz causing their heads to collide, Luz then opens her eyes and the first thing she sees is Tank, Kotoha eyes begin to glow and she spins 180 degrees and throws multiple shuriken in Tank's direction]
Tank: huh?
[The Shurikens then explode on impact, and she evades]
Viper: Oh great. You can fight blind now?
[She lands near Arthur]
Arthur: Kotoha how did you see that coming?
[Kotoha tries to wipe of the dirt from her face, but she explains her situation to Arthur]
Kotoha: I think I can see through Owlet's eyes somehow.
[flashback, when Luz was looking in Tank direction, Kotoha saw the image through her eyes, and used it to her advantage]
Arthur: *shocked* Owlet can do that?!
Kotoha: Must have been because she saw through my memories and learned my techniques.
Arthur: She did that?!
Luz: *scared* Arthur! A little help!
Arthur: Ah shit!
[Kotoha then sees through Luz's eyes once more, and she summons her Sword]
Kotoha: Owlet! Heads up!
[Luz then sees through Kotoha's head and ducks in time for the Blade to hit Viper, which Viper also dodges!]
Viper: Damnit. This is getting annoying! Tank!
Tank: RAGE CHARGE!
[Tank's eyes begin to glow red, and builds up energy]
West: Oh no you don't! Hercules!
[Hercules appear, both him and West moves their hands back, and force a giant clap, forming a shockwave]
Tank: That's not enough! Old man!
[the shock wave continues to push Tank back, while Viper keeps holding her ground]
West: Stop him from building up his energy!
Luz: Azura!
Arthur: Crimson Dragon!
[Luz uses Fire and Lightning Glyphs with Azura giving them an extra boost, whilst Arthur Uses Crimson Dragon to bash him multiple times, and with that Tank begins to be pushed back]
Tank: Annoying pests!
[The wind begins to blow the direction Tank is facing forward]
Kotoha: You think that's annoying!
[Susano'o appears behind her and storm clouds begin to emerge, and lightning begins to roar, Kotoha summons her two blades]
Kotoha: Musashi blades merge!
[The two blades merge into one giant shuriken]
Kotoha: Owlet!
[Luz turns her attention to Kotoha]
Kotoha: Catch this!
[Luz nods and begins to run towards Tank]
Kotoha: God's Ninjutsu! Susano'o Storm Shuriken!
[Tank attempts to block but is distracted by Crimson Dragon]
Tank: *struggling* RAGH!
[What he didn't notice is Luz hurling towards him, she uses a light glyph and with Azura's help, she turns it into a rope, attaches it to her staff, and grabs hold of the spinning star hurdling at Tank, she then fuses her magic into the Star and transforms it into a glowing Storm Saw blade, swinging it at Tank]
Luz: The Owlet, Luzura version!
[Luz swings it at Tank, and struggles to break through the rough skin, Luz's Aura begins to turn Light blue]
Luz: RAGH!
[And it explodes adding more power the saw]
Tank: WHAT!
[The Saw then cuts through Tank and chops his head off clean, and A.X.E.L. finally shows up in time to witness the end of the fight.]
A.X.E.L.: *shocked* Holy shit!
[Everyone watches as Tank's head falls to the ground with surprised looks on their faces, Luz's Light Blue Aura changes back to Purple, and she turns to have her eyes widen for the deed she committed]
Luz: *scared* AGH! I just chopped a guy's head off!
[Tank's headless body then falls, flat on the floor]
Arthur: Well that did it.
[Viper not scared, is angered by the fact that someone took down Tank]
Viper: Damnit! I gotta get out of here befor-
One: Having a hard time Viper.
Viper: *gasp*
[The Gravity begins to intensify ten fold, the pressure becoming more weighted on everyone in the room, with the ongoing pressure]
Luz: *struggling* What...kind of...power is this?!
Arthur: *struggling* this energy, it's too powerful!
[West and A.X.E.L. are also being held down feeling the intense pressure, while Kotoha eyes aren't that of struggling, it is the eyes of trauma]
Kotoha: *scared* This pressure. No, it can't be!
[Viper turned around and saw the only person who could have power as great as that]
Viper: Commander One?!
One: I see you are struggling to battle them.
[One takes a good look at everyone across the room, but what really got his attention were Luz, Arthur, A.X.E.L, and West.]
One: Hmm, so many familiar faces.
[Shatter Squad manage to get a good look at the for ahead of them]
West: *struggling* I'm guessing this guy is their boss.
A.X.E.L.: *struggling* With power like that, most likely.
[One then makes his way towards Luz, step by step, the pressure gets stronger, Luz then remembers where she felt this before]
Luz: *scared* (This is the guy...from Kotoha's childhood). What is he?!
[One then stops and kneels down to Luz]
Arthur: *struggling* You get away from her!
[One chooses to ignore Arthur, and puts his hand on Luz chin]
One: Hello Luz...
[One raises her chin]
One: I'm One.
[Luz with fear in her eyes, tries to run but can't move with the pressure of his power being stronger than anything she has ever faced]
One: And you and I will have to fight another day. But for now..*smirks* hehehe, I leave you this message.
[One's fingers touch Luz's stomach, and performs a one inch falls to her knees, holding onto her stomach and begins to coughs a bit of blood]
One: Viper.
[Viper turns her attention to One]
Viper: Yes commander?
One: The mission is a failure, we are leaving. And Tank..
[He glares at him]
One: Get up!
[The head of Tank begins to laugh maniacally, his body begins to get up and reattaches his head]
Tank: HAHAHAHAHAHA! Now that was fun!
[he turns his attention to Luz]
Tank: I'll enjoy killing you for real next time!
[One, Tank and Viper make their way out of the conformitorium, but four Coven Guards block them from the entrance]
Coven guard: for breaking and entering, and the death of four coven members, we hereby place you under arrest in the name of the emperor.
[The Guard continues to speak, but One opens his chain arm sword, swings it once and obliterates the entrance causing the guards and it to explode]
Coven guards: AGH!
[Shatter Squad watches them as the leave]
West: Looks like this mission got a lot more dangerous.
[Luz looks down on them and then realizes something]
Luz: Wait, that guy said he failed his mission. Did someone from our group grab the Armour piece?!
[Everyone's eyes widen, then they go through the barrier only to find a note in all that garbage, then the ship comes in to pick up the rest of the team]
Coco: You guys better get in! More guards are coming your way.
[everyone follows Coco into the ship and the first thing Luz notices is King]
Luz: King! What happened to him?!
Coco: It's a long story?! Did you guys grab the objective?
Arthur: We weren't able to. Someone got to it before us, and left this note.
[the group then gathered up to read what was on it, it said, "I'll be holding onto this for a while, make sure to gather the rest before Meta does. We'll be keeping in touch! -Ronin.]
Kotoha: *pissed* whose Ronin?
Arthur: No clue, but judging by this note, Shatter Squad and Meta aren't the only groups here.
Raymond: But look on the bright side we did manage to grab hold of those Runes.
[Kotoha then holds onto her legs, and Arthur sits beside her]
Arthur: Hey.
Kotoha: Hey. About earlier. I'm sorry I lashed out like that.
Arthur: Are you actually apologising?
Kotoha: Shut up! But you were right Luz really did help us. I admit it.
Arthur: Well I'm sorry too, you are a fine warrior, and you really proved yourself. Fighting with Luz and all.
Kotoha: You really have that much faith in her huh?
Arthur: Yeah, I do...you and her are like my little sisters.
Kotoha: *sigh*
[They both have a moment of awkward silence]
Arthur: Hey next time we train, you want to go another round. See if you can actually beat me?
[Kotoha thinks back when she saw One, and remembering her mother, with a clenched fist, and fiery determination, she would do whatever it takes to take him down]
Kotoha: Hehe...alright. You're not the only person I want to take down.
[Luz overhears and notices Kotoha is looking at her]
Luz: Wait, I thought we were good?!
Kotoha: We may be good for now. But I'll take you down one of these days. Both of you.
Luz: Well I'll be waiting.
[Luz holds onto her stomach with the same determination to beat One, remembering him that next time they meet, the two of them will fight for real]
West: Well the only thing we got were the runes we found at the Conformitorium, it's not an armour piece, but it's a start.
Luz: And we'll just have to keep on going.
[everyone turns their attention to Luz, and she begins to speak like Azura]
Luz: The next time we run into Meta or meet the warrior named Ronin, we shall defeat them in glorious battle, and complete our quest with determination! For we are Shatter Squad!
[everyone smiles at the youngest rookie in their squad, and outside the plane they yell in unison]
Everyone: YEAH!
[Meanwhile after watching the plane go invisible. Two figures watch them as they fly back to their base of operations, a young girl, wearing a mask, and a half naked tall green man with Gauntlets.]
Warlord: *calm* Are you sure it was wise to not attack the multiple fragments of the Alpha Titan? That...would have been a good opportunity.
[The figure next to him tosses a glove up and down like a ball. Revealing the piece to the armour piece they were looking for, the masked figure then grips onto it, and turns her attention to the giant man]
Ronin: Trust me Warlord, it's better this way. Besides, if we didn't grab this piece, they would have gathered all the pieces, and since we have it, the fragments will come running to us. Then we will have our chance.
[The giant looks at her]
Ronin: To destroy the Alpha. But for now, Shatter Squad has some new recruits.
Warlord: Shall I eliminate them?
Ronin: No...
[Ronin turns on her Holo Screen and skims the files of all the kids in Hexside]
Ronin: They might prove useful to our plans, especially this one.
[She then turns to a picture of Amity Blight]
