Chapter 22: Death's Awakening
[With Watts standing in front of Amity, she constructs a spell circle to conjure three abominations]
[Watts studies the abominations in front of him, seeing how they appear only when Amity writes one of those spell circles that every witch in the Isles can. Watts darted his eyes at possible ways to restrain her.]
Watts: (She only fights with magic as of now.)
[Watts clicks his glasses to detect that Amity's Spirit Aura belongs to a Death God. Understanding the circumstances, it appears that she hasn't truly awakened it yet. This puts him at an advantage]
Watts: Tell me Miss Blight, what are you going to do if Luz Noceda dies right in front of you. Will you shed tears? Or will you throw a tantrum like all the other rich snobs in this multiverse?
[stimulated by Watts' question. Amity grits her teeth in anger. Which is what Watts was gunning for.]
Amity: You let her go!
Watts: Or what, do you plan to murder me? Or give a whole speech about why you love this pathetic excuse for a warrior.
Amity: You shut up!
[Amity's rage stirs up. Gusts of wind begin to pass her by. Feeling provoked by Watts' insults, the young witch tries to hold back her power. But the scientist speaks once more]
Watts: Why do you have the need to use your power against me? Aren't you supposed to be the youngest Blight? Told to put an example to those around her. Why waste your power trying to protect this insignificant lowlife? When, you can be using it for more?!
Amity: Stop calling her a lowlife!
[And that was it, he found a weakness. Her love for this human is what triggers her into doing the impossible. So in order for her to lose control and hold her down, he'll just need to deplete her of her power]
Watts: But that is what she is! She's not smart! Not powerful! I think she is only a tool for you. Someone who brings pleasure to your life until one day all that joy is sucked dry from you. And you throw her away like all the rest! That's what she is, a joy dumpster! A plaything! A Toy!
[Amity finally had enough of his words and without knowing, unleasheS her Beta Spirit]
Amity: SHUT UP!
[Red Aura emits from her body, with eyes glowing red. The power stretches to her abominations. Forcing them into the demon form of the Beta Spirit.]
Amity: Abominations!
[Amity laughs maniacally]
Amity: Kill!
[The abominations begin their assault]
Watts: Ah fighting with Abominations? I'll play.
[Watts activates his Spirit Power to and pulls his Witch beasts into the frey. One resembling an Ox, another a Crocodile, and the third a Rhino. Both sides engage. 1 Abomination transforms it's arm into blade, impaling the Ox. The Croc snaps its jaw on the body of another, and the Rhino and another Abomination come to a standstill. Amity rushes in Watts' direction, but with a wave of his hand, the Rhino shrugs off an Abomination and blocks Amity from getting to him.]
Amity: GRGH!
[Amity grabs hold of the Rhino's horn, and yanks it closer to her]
Amity: Piss off!
[Amity with one hand tosses the Rhino away, and makes her way to Watts. The man, tugs his strings, ordering them to assist him]
Amity: *Groans*
[Amity whirls back with murderous glare in her eyes, points her hand towards the two monsters]
Amity: *angered* Did you not hear me?! I SAID PISS OFF!
[Amity releases a Purple flame from the palm of her hand and sets the two monsters ablaze. With a twirl of her finger, four more Beta Abominations appear]
Amity: Kill them!
[The Four abominations follow her orders and wreak havoc, but the moments she turns back to her foe, Watts jabs her in the face]
Amity: AGH!
[Amity wipes the blood off her nose and retaliates with more flames. Watts evades and ducks for cover]
Amity: Come on out Watts! Come out and fight me!
[Amity let's lose more flames, to put a stop to Watt's escaping. Suddenly the flames stop. Watts takes a peek above to search for Amity, only to see the skirmish of Abominations and Witch Monsters, with the girl nowhere to be found]
Watts: *pant* Maybe provoking her was a terrible plan.
Amity: Oh it wasn't.
[Watts darts his glance above.]
Amity: It wasn't for me at least!
[Abominations surround Watts. They begin to pile on him, to the point where he is trapped in beta Abomination goo.]
Watts: No, let me go!
[Amity laughs maniacally once more]
Amity: You were right Watts, I guess I have been holding back!
[Spiked flames begin to emerge from the the ceiling]
Amity: I'll be sure to send a message to your allies. A message to tell them. I'm coming!
[Amity unhands the spikes, and watches as they descend.]
Amity: HAHAHAHAHAH!
[Seconds before they could land, a giant figure blocks them]
Amity: WHAT!
[Amity confused with the behemoth in front of her, the giant turns its head to her and fires and eye beam, blasting Amity into the wall]
Watts: Ah yes, I forgot about him. Meet my first creation. The Magnus!
[Amity coughs after landing on the ground]
Watts: How about we have some fun. Magnus, grab our "guest" on the table.
[The Magnus's arm begins to stretch and seizes Luz, releasing her from the table]
Amity: I'LL KILL YOU!
[Amity jumps to Magnus' head, Magnus places Luz in front of her as a distraction, snapping Amity out of her blood lust, she sees Luz unconscious]
Amity: Luz?
[Magnus Slaps Amity to the ground, causing her to groan in pain. Enraged by his move, Amity continues to pursue the head of Magnus, with every attempt stopped by using Luz as a defense mechanism]
Amity: Quit..hiding..behind Luz..you coward!
Watts: *playfully* Hmm? All tuckered out are we?
[Watts yanks on his strings to give the final order to Magnus]
Watts: Magnus, toss Luz away, and finish off Ms. Blight.
[Magnus tosses Luz away like she was nothing, and begins to walk towards Amity, bruised body. Amity looks up at the robot, she struggles to get back up. Wanting to fight back however, she raises her arm to fire a flame, but Magnus lifts his fist, and repeatedly beats her into the ground]
Amity: (No, this can't be over. I still have to save Luz. *cries* Luz, I'm sorry!)
[Suddenly her life begins to flash before her eyes. Her birth, her time with Willow, her siblings, her controlling parents, her time in Hexside, all the time of her life she wasted because of her parents. And then Luz came to her head. To Amity, Luz was the greatest thing that ever happened to her. And now, she won't be able to see Luz ever again, her only regret, was that she never got to say goodbye]
Amity: (Goodbye..Luz).
Watts: That's enough Magnus. Leave her to die there. It seems she won't be able to prevent anything like that. We have more important matters to attend to.
[Magnus follows his orders and walks away]
[In Amity's head, her soul still remains in her body. Until she is awoken into a strange chamber]
Amity: Where am I?
[She wanders the chamber, wondering where she is, until a loud voice booms from all over]
Thanatos: AMITY BLIGHT!
[Amity startled by the Voice quickly glances across the room, trying to figure out where it was coming from]
Amity: Who's there?!
[Another voice is heard, except this one is more feminine]
Hel: YOU HAVE BEEN SUMMONED BY THIS COUNCIL TO DECIDE YOUR FATE!
[then another comes after]
Feng Po: YOU HAVE COMMITTED A GRAVE SIN THAT CAN NOT GO UNTURNED!
Whiro: AND NOW THE TRIAL BEGINS!
[Amity turns around]
Amity: Who are you?! Come out and show yourselves!
[The torches are lit in fire revealing a seven chairs surrounding her, Amity rotates to see who they were, and their identities were a shock]
Anubis: Amity Blight! We are the Gods of Death!
Yama: And this is where we shall judge you!
[Amity looks up to see the seven gods in front of her, with a look of shock and terror on her face]
Amity: WAIT?! AM I DEAD?!
[Hel snickers, places one leg on top the other and leans forward with her hand on her chin]
Hel: You will be once we decide what to do with you.
[Amity doesn't believe their words, she can't be dead, she still has too many tasks she hasn't completed. Opportunities that couldn't be missed.]
Amity: *denial* No, I can't be dead! I still have to save Luz! I still have to help my friends!
[Amity continues to go on, but one idea pops into her head]
Amity: *Terrified* I still haven't told Luz how I feel! Please, you have to let me go back!
[Thanatos]
Thanatos: *serious* SILENCE!
[Amity immediately stops talking, fearing what would happen if she continued to speak]
Thanatos: *serious* Once you have died, you don't get the chance to speak, or order us to do your bidding! Do I make myself clear?!
[Amity nods in agreement, and bows in defeat]
Amity: Yes sir.
[Anubis notifies the council]
Anubis: Shall we begin the trial?
Feng Po: Of course.
[Amity scarcely raises her hand, Whiro gestures the mortal speak]
Whiro: Yes?
Amity: How exactly does this trial work?
[The Gods discuss among themselves how to explain it to her, Hel turns her attention to Amity, and draws a spell circle]
Hel: It is simple.
[Projection is formed in front of Amity]
Hel: The six of us give memories of a grave sin you have once committed throughout your life. Of course you have the chance to defend yourself. But only the weighing scale decides the truth.
[Amity raises an eyebrow]
Amity: Weighing scale?
[The ceiling of the chamber begins to open, and a giant golden weighing scale begins to float to the ground]
Shiva: This Weighing Scale will decide what shall become of you. If it leans to the left, you will be punished, if it is to the right, then you will be handsomely rewarded.
Amity: Oh.
[Shiva pushes himself up out of his chair]
Shiva: Allow me to start.
Thanatos: Permission granted.
[Shiva prepares his memory]
Shiva: Amity Blight, do you recall your friendship with Willow Park?
[Amity begins to regret entering this trial]
Amity: Yes.
Shiva: It is true that you two have been the best of friends since you were young. But one day, you were told to sever your ties with her.
[Amity agrees with him]
Amity: Yes.
Shiva: And from that point onwards. You have decided to let her suffer through the next few years. Is that correct?
Amity: Yes.
Shiva: You do realize that severing your ties with the weak, only makes them cowards.
Amity: Yes.
Shiva: Through the years you have tortured Willow, Willow suffered through bullying of your friends, horrible grades in a track she was forced to take part in. And losing one of the only people she ever had trust in. Do you realize that?
[Amity looks at the projection]
Amity: Yes.
Shiva: Now to decide where this goes. Tell us, do you regret doing that?
Amity: Yes, when my parents told me to break off my friendship with Willow, I let myself go too far. I let Boscha and her gang pick on her. I never even gave the thought to help her. I could've been there for her. But now things are different, Luz helped me connect with Willow again, and I promised that I wouldn't let anyone pick on her ever again.
Shiva: Hmm. Is that so?
[sweat falls from Amity's head]
Amity: Yes.
Shiva: Fine by me. I deem this memory innocent.
[Shiva places his coin on the right side.]
Shiva: Feng Po. I believe it is your turn.
[Shiva places himself on his Chair, and Feng Po rises]
Feng Po: Amity Blight, do you recall your time on the Grudgby team?
[Feng Po releases of projection of Amity playing grudgby]
Amity: Yes.
Feng Po: Do you recall the time you performed a move known as the thorn vault and hurt your team in the process?
[Amity nods]
Amity: I do.
Feng Po: Tell me what was going through your mind that day?
[Amity takes a deep breath]
Amity: We had a game plan for the final game. Our plan was perfect, until I wanted to try my own plan. I performed the Thorn Vault and ended up injuring them in the process. I never played again that day.
Feng Po: Is it something you regret doing?
[Amity nods to her question]
Feng Po: Very well then. I deem her innocent.
[She places a coin the right]
Amity: (Hmm, so far so good)
[Next to rise is Anubis]
Anubis: Amity Blight, do you recall the day you almost had Luz Noceda dissected?
[Amity immediately regrets this one]
Amity: (Oh no) Yes?
Anubis: Let's see here. The reason was you wanted to get Willow in trouble and keep your "top student badge"
[Anubis projects the first day Luz went to Hexside]
Anubis: You humiliate yourself in front of the whole school. Got in trouble with the Principal. And somehow wanted Luz dead. Is this true?
Amity: Yes?
Anubis: But tell me? Why have an innocent girl killed just so you can have an item of insignificance mean much to you?
[Amity darts her eyes]
Amity: Well, around the time I was only trying to stay strong. A Blight can't show weakness.
Anubis: But you let your power get the best of you? Is that right?
Amity: *defeated* Yes.
Anubis: and through it all, you and the students caused damage to the school. Nearly had an innocent mortal killed. And most of all you never even showed any remorse for it whatsoever!
Amity: But I got better.
[Anubis scoffs]
Anubis: hardly. If I recall at the day of the Covention, you challenged Luz to duel, insulted her friend, and cheated in a match.
Amity: But I didn't know!
Anubis: You still showed no remorse for any of it around that time. Is that true?
[Amity is speechless because he was right, she never even apologised for it. And so she regrets it but she said]
Amity: *defeat* Yes. It's true.
[Anubis turns to the council]
Anubis: I've had my time. I deem her guilty.
[Anubis places his coin on the left. Hel smiles at his verdict, the rest begin to speak among themselves. Yama remains quiet]
Hel: I have a request.
Thanatos: Do tell?
Hel: Whiro and I would like to share a memory, one that may cost two coins.
Thanatos: Hmm, this should be interesting. By all means.
[Hel, rises from her chair and treks to where Amity stands. Leaning forward face to face with the youngest Blight, with a mischievous smile, she asks her question]
Hel: Amity Blight, do you recall. The day you received the Beta Fragment?
[The whole courtroom is surprised by this memory murmur in the background, with Amity swallowing her saliva because if she screws this up, she will have two votes added to her punishment, making three in total.]
Amity: Yes.
Hel: Very good, I suppose you recall all the carnage you have caused to others while being bonded to it as well?
[Amity shudders]
Amity: *anxious* Yes.
[Hel grins]
Hel: Tell us, why did you bond with the Beta Fragment?
[Deep down if Amity told the truth, she would be heading for punishment, but knowing them, if she lied, they would know. Amity continued to come up with a plan to not get a guilty charge, but nothing came to mind. She then swallowed her pride and begins to tell the truth]
Amity: I did it...
[She stops speaking, anxiously trying to let her voice out.]
Amity: I did it because...
[Once more she silences herself, not feeling confident]
Amity: I did it to help Luz!
Hel: But you do realise in the process of helping her, you nearly got her killed in the process, am I wrong?
Amity: But I didn't!
[Hel projects the memory on the screen]
Hel: The memory says otherwise, not only did you bond with a cursed weapon of mass destruction, but you used it for your own selfish purposes.
[The memory presents Amity's brutality on Kotoha. Then presents her snapping Raymond's arm]
Hel: You only hurt them because according to Beta, they were in your way. They were separating you from the one you love. But look where it got you.
[Amity faces Luz with merciless intent, and watches as she herself was going to kill Luz. Until Arthur knocks her out cold]
Hel: Tell me Amity, did you really think you could get away with that? Not only did you almost kill Luz and her friends but days after, you stole an item from your own Principal.
[Amity darts up realising what happened afterward]
Amity: But I had good intentions?
[Hel laughs]
Hel: Hardly, you only wanted to find out your powers. You could have turned it down? But you decided to go against your morals and steal an item.
Amity: But it's just an orb?
[Hel scoffs]
Hel: Just an Orb? Not even "you" have any idea what type of hell you've unleashed upon your world!
[Hel, looks down on Amity with a devilish smirk]
Hel: *Manically* Honestly Amity, nothing would please me more than to see you suffer for everything you have done! And this memory and all the others only prove what kind of life you have, letting others trample over you, only to leave to trample on others. Humiliating classmates, almost killing those you hold dear. It's all disgusting! Which is why I love to dispose of filth like you! So tell me! Do you truly regret anything you did?! Do you really think someone like you would ever earn the heart of someone you have hurt in the past? Do you really think Luz will forgive you for hurting her friends?
[Amity thoughts begin to rush through her head, tears begin to fill her eyes. She falls to her knees to wipe away her unending tears, Hel stands up straight and chuckles]
Hel: Your face says it all, and honestly, I didn't care about your answer anyway. I was going to end up putting you guilty as charged.
[Two votes enter the guilty bin of the weighing scale]
Thanatos: Hm, so far five coins have been decided.
[he notices that One of the seven of them have been silent the whole time]
Thanatos: Yama, you've been awfully quiet. Is there a problem?
[Yama stares at the crying girl with a blank expression. Deep down he felt pity, but as of now his only priority is to decide what to do with her. He rises up slowly from his chair.]
Yama: Amity Blight, tell me everything you know about Luz Noceda, and why you care about her so much?
[Amity lifts her head up with tears in her eyes, only wondering why ask about Luz of all people]
Yama: What do you think of her?
[she sniffs, and drops her head, Yama turns away]
Amity: Luz is my friend.
[he stops, and looks back]
Amity: *sad* Ever since she came here, I would get in trouble, and turned her down everytime she attempted to be my friend.
[The council begins to take interest in this memory]
Amity: *sniff* But she kept coming back. And wouldn't stop herself from being my friend. No matter how many times I told her to leave, or insulted her, or tried to kill her. She would always come back. I couldn't show weakness around that time.
[Amity grips her skirt]
Amity: But she sometimes ends up saving me on multiple occasions. She saved my family. She restored my friendship with Willow. She even stood up to Boscha of all people. But what surprised me most of all. Is how fearless she is.
[memories begin to play where Luz would save Amity from the Slitherbeast, Otabin, and would take her place as Grom Queen.]
Amity: Honestly her taking my place as Grom Queen made me realise things I've never thought of before. She would do anything to help her friends no matter the cost. She helped me break out of my shell. And raised me up from the shadows. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be the person I am today.
[Amity gets up from her leg, she grits her teeth and continues to speak her mind]
Amity: I'll do anything to help Luz! I would give my life to save her! I want to show Luz my feelings, and watch her come home safely. But right now I can't do that! Right now I'm useless. But I promised her friends that I would come back with her. That all of us will make it to the end together. So, Yama, if that doesn't convince you!
[Amity raises her head once more]
Amity: *serious* Then go do your worst!
[Yama smiles, and bursts out laughing]
Whiro: Well this is a first.
Feng Po: Is Yama actually laughing?
[He begins to slow down and sigh in relief]
Yama: *chuckles* I think that was convincing. She has my vote for innocence.
[yama places his coin on the Weighing Scale with an even match, and now it all depends on Thanatos]
Thanatos: It appears we have come to a standstill. A very rare occurrence if I say so myself.
[the Giant God rubs his chin with his thoughts in mind]
Thanatos: The last person to ever have this was Layla Sanuki.
[The council turns their attention to the center chair]
Thanatos: Which means, we have the chance to awaken a new Grim Reaper.
Amity: Wait what?
[Thanatos, sits up straight]
Thanatos: Miss Blight, do you recall finding out the type of powers you possess?
[Amity nods]
Thanatos: Since you have Death type Spirit Power. The real reason for your summon was to test you.
Amity: Test me?
Thanatos: Usually in our normal trials, a majority of fallen souls would suffer for their sins, or be rewarded for their innocence. But you are a special case. With a balance of good and evil. You have the potential to possess Spirit Power from one of us.
[Amity smiles in relief]
Amity: So I'll be allowed to return to the world of the living?
[Thanatos raises his hand to silence her]
Thanatos: That is your reward, but since both bowls are equally filled, there is still punishment involved.
[Amity frowns]
Amity: So what is the punishment?
Thanatos: To make sure you have an idea, I'll foretell a little prophecy.
[Thanatos projects images on the screen]
Thanatos: On the day of Unity, the Emperor of the Isles and the Sigma Titan shall do battle to decide the fate of your world. And to stop it, a human is to end the fight. We believe that human is Luz Noceda.
Amity: So what does this have to do with me?
Yama: The Oracle Pythia predicted that a young maiden is to die on the battlefield. Which is why your punishment is more of a task.
Thanatos: Amity Blight, Luz Noceda is an important factor in deciding the fate of the four realms. Which is why your punishment is to protect her with your life.
Amity: That doesn't seem like a punishment.
Thanatos: This is where the catch comes in. If the one called Luz Noceda is to die on that day, then you must kill yourself within the next three days to join her. If you fail to meet that quota, then your soul belongs to us.
[Amity gulps.]
Thanatos: If you wish to return to the realm of the living, this is your only option.
[Amity moves her eyes from side to side, and breathes in]
Amity: I'll do it!
[the Gods stare at the witch]
Amity: If it's to protect Luz, then I'll do it. I'll prevent her death!
[Thanatos smiles]
Thanatos: Well, now that that's settled, it is time to decide who will return with you to the world of the living. Any volunteers?
[He observes his fellow Gods of Death]
Anubis: I'm occupied with a user already.
Feng Po: I don't think my power would be useful to prevent a prophecy such as that.
[Thanatos turns to Hel]
Hel: *pissed* I won't help scum like her in the slightest.
[Yama raises his hand]
Yama: I'll do it.
[The Gods turn their heads to Yama]
Thanatos: Really now?
Yama: Yes. I believe the deciding vote should join the one on trial.
[Thanatos coughs]
Thanatos: Very well then. In honour of this decision. Amity, you will be granted the power of a Grim Reaper with Yama's abilities. DO you accept the task at hand?
[Amity nods]
Amity: I do.
Yama: Alright Amity, it's time we head back.
[Yama's blood begins to spill from his hand and morphs into a giant scythe]
Amity: Wait, what are you doing?
[Yama's swings his Scythe at Amity's neck]
Amity: AGH!
[Back at Watts' lab, the moment he ceases Magnus from his task, they turn away from Amity until a large Purple Flare erupts from Amity carcass]
Watts: What? What is this?!
[Amity body begins to rise from the dead, with her eyes wide open]
Yama: Let us begin the pact.
[Amity screams as her begins to heal]
Yama: I was once mortal and given death. Only to be chosen by the Celestials to grant me the powers I have this day. And now I raise you from your eternal slumber and grant the power of a thousand souls!
[Amity continues to scream]
Yama: Now tell me Amity with the task ahead and the power that shall be granted upon you. Will you accept the punishments if everything comes to ruin!
[Amity screams in agreement]
Amity: Very well. Now say my name! And my power shall be yours!
[The dye on her hair begins to melt off and reverts her hair back to brown!]
Amity: Come my Spirit Power! Death's Judgement! Yama!
[The Black Aura bursts from her Body to reveal a red skin coloured God baring four arms, and golden hair, wearing a black robe and souls circling him]
Yama: Use these Souls and possess the true weapon of the reapers!
[1000 souls gather around Amity's hand transforming into a giant scythe with eyes]
Yama: The scythe known as the "Souls of the forgotten".
[Amity picks up the Scythe and spins it around like a stick]
Amity: It's light. I like it! Beta Spirit Unlock!
[Amity's Black Aura radiates from her body and hurls herself into the air with her scythe laid horizontally on her lower back, she slowly twirls in the air, and hastily spins, shooting down like a meteor]
Watts: Magnus, stop her!
[Magnus reaches out to grab hold of her scythe, but it was too strong, strong enough to cut his arm in half. Cutting it to the point where it rips off of his body, Amity lands on the floor with Magnus slamming his fist down in retaliation. But Amity is quick to notice and dodges at the right moment]
Amity: Chaos Flare!
[Amity faces her right palm to the Robots face and releases a purple Flare. Pushing and melting the armour back. With it distracted Amity twirls her scythe forming a spell circle and creates ten Beta Abominations]
Amity: Abominations! Hold him down!
[The Abominations tackle Magnus and make use of their arm blades to pierce its shell, ripping it open, causing her to maniacally laugh]
Amity: *evil* Burn!
[She unleashes another Chaos Flare on her enormous foe. Pushing it down]
Amity: (Don't lose yourself Amity)
[Amity then crash lands onto Magnus and begins to slash him with her scythe like a psychopath]
Amity: DIE! DIE! DIE!
[Amity continues her pursuit, until Yama snaps her out of it]
Yama: Amity!
[Amity begins to listen to his voice]
Yama: Remember why you are fighting! Don't forget your purpose for this life!
[Amity stops and holds back her scythe]
Amity: GET OUT OF MY HEAD!
[She shakes her head]
Amity: (No! Beta is not in control! I am! I'll finish this with my own hands!)
[Amity snaps out or her chaotic persona, and manages to keep it under control, Magnus sees this as an opportunity to attack, and slaps her off of him, driving her to the wall]
Amity: No, I'm not done yet!
[Magnus brings himself off the floor and runs towards her, hoisting his fist in the air to land a devastating blow, Watts laughs]
Watts: So even unlocking your Spirit doesn't help you! Pathetic!
[The smoke begins to clear, Watts widens his eyes by the sight that beheld him]
Watts: What?!
[Amity summoned a Beta Abomination to pushes him back]
Amity: Abomination! Come!
[The black Abomination fuses with Amity's scythe and mutates it into a bigger scythe, one big enough to slice Magnus in two.]
Amity: Yama, lend me your strength!
[suddenly two more pairs of arms appear from her body and create two more Scythes]
Amity: Beta Spirit! Chaos Flare!
[The scythes are set ablaze!]
Amity: Three stages of Death!
[Amity swings all three Scythes down]
Watts: No!
[Watts tugs on his strings and has Magnus form a barrier around them, the Scythe impact the Shield until Amity whispers]
Amity: Final End!
[The Blades break through the barriers and break through the metal exterior of Magnus, melting through and ripping him to pieces, Magnus then detonates. Forcing Amity to shield herself. The Robot is left in rubble, and digging himself out of it is Watts who somehow survived]
Watts: Well that may have failed! But at least I still have...Luz?
[Watts hastily looks around for his prisoner until he sees Amity shield come down, unveiling and unconscious Luz wrapped in her arms]
Watts: Oh no!
Amity: HEY!
[Watts darts his glance to Amity]
Amity: If you ever come after her again, then I won't hesitate to finish you off. Is that clear?!
[Watts begins to panic and fall to the ground]
Amity: Now you're coming with me!
Watts: *scared* Oh I don't think so!
[Watts whistles signalling his bird monster carrying him away from the scene, Watts manages to escape]
Amity: Lost him, but at least you're here.
[Amity was alarmed, because Luz was alive, but for some reason, she wasn't breathing!]
Amity: (Oh no she's not breathing!)
[Amity gently lays her down to feel her pulse]
Amity: (This isn't good! What should I do?)
[A jolt in her memory made her remember something]
Amity: (Wait CPR, I just need to do exactly how Coco did it)
[Amity proceeds to the procedure, she performs thirty chest pushes, but stops because she immediately remembered the mouth to mouth breathing]
Amity: (Uh)
[Amity slaps herself in the face]
Amity: (Damnit Amity don't think about that now, Luz needs your help)
[Amity without hesitation blows into her mouth, with a huge blush on her face, but Luz still wasn't breathing]
Amity: (It's not working)
[Amity repeats the procedure but still nothing]
Amity: (Come on Luz! There's gotta be something I can do!)
[Yama begins to speak in her mind]
Yama: Use your chaos flare!
Amity: What?! How is that going to work!?
Yama: Spirit Power Flames can heal other users, and this particular flame of your appears to have lots of energy stored within. But you only have to perform the procedure with it in your hands.
[Amity nods]
Amity: Got it!
[Amity rubs her hands together generating flames and performs CPR a third time, still nothing]
Amity: Still nothing!
Yama: Do it one more time!
Amity: But?!
Yama: Trust me!
[Amity does as he says and performs it one more time after breathing into her mouth, Luz coughs and is able to breath again]
Amity: Luz? Thank Titan!
[She notices she isn't awake]
Amity: Why isn't she awake?
Yama: Whatever Watts did to her, it did a number on her physical and mental strength, but she is alive, all you need to do is get her to your team and they can take care of the rest. You'll need to rest too.
Amity: Why?
Yama: You used up to much energy, and those who use it for the first time usuall-
[Amity begins to feels dizzy]
Amity: *tired* I don't...I don't feel so good.
[Amity hears Arthur's and Eda's voices in the background]
Arthur: Enma!
Eda: Kid?!
[Amity turns around and sees the rest of the team coming to the lab]
Amity: Guys...you're here..
[Amity lays on the ground unconscious]
[2 Days later Amity wakes up from her Rest Period, she slowly gets up and notices she is on a hospital bed, she groans]
Amity: Ugh, what happened?
Willow: Amity!
Gus: Thank Titan you're alive!
[she then remembers Luz]
Amity: LUZ! Where are you?!
[Arthur then comes into the room]
Arthur: Amity it's ok.
Amity: Where's Luz?!
[Arthur points to her right]
Luz: I'm right here Amity.
[Arthur proceeds to open the curtain to reveal Luz who is in 75 percent okay]
Amity: *relieved* Luz. Thank goodness.
[After seeing her crush smile, she looks down and twiddles her thumbs]
Amity: Listen Luz, I gotta apologize.
Willow: Amity it wasn't your fault.
Amity: Willow.
[Willow looks down and lets her apologize]
Amity: Not just to you, also to Kotoha and Raymond. I..I'm really sorry Luz.
[Tears begin to form in Amity's eyes]
Amity: I just saw you all getting along so well, and it felt like we were drifting apart. I know you have to go home after we find a portal and I wanted to make our moments last as long as possible, and in the end I only hurt you.
Luz: *sigh*
Kotoha: Blight!
[Amity looks up to see Kotoha in a bed next to Luz]
Amity: Kotoha?
Kotoha: Before Luz says anything..I want to let you know, I've been there.
Amity: huh?
[Kotoha gets out of her bed, Arthur tries to stop her]
Arthur: Kotoha you need your rest.
Kotoha: Arthur, just let me do this.
[Arthur gestures her to go]
Kotoha: Listen Blight, I never really got along with Luz because I felt like she was taking Arthur away from me. And I ended up trying to kill her in the process. I'm guessing that's how you felt around us. Right?
[Amity nods in agreement]
Kotoha: I don't know if I could forgive you for hurting Raymond and I, and I don't know if I could gain forgiveness from you for trying to kill Luz. But we both got our issues. So..let's just work hard together and put this stuff aside.
[Kotoha offers her hand]
Kotoha: Is that okay?
[Amity smiles and takes it]
Amity: Yeah.
Kotoha: Now I believe Luz wanted to say something.
[Luz takes a deep breath]
Luz: Look Amity, I don't know what came over you. When I saw you in that state I was honestly terrified. But deep down, I knew there was still a hint of the true Amity inside. I don't know what came over you. Or like Kotoha could forgive you for your mistakes. But..I want you to know I'm here for you Amity, whatever you have going on in your head it's okay to talk about it. Just promise me you won't hide anything anymore.
[Amity wipes her tears]
Amity: I promise.
Luz: Remember Amity, I'm here for you.
Willow: So are we.
[All the members of Shatter Squad old and new are all in the recovery room, until a sneeze in the background is heard]
Eda: Ugh, your adorable little banter is making me nauseous.
Lilith: Edalyn!
King: Nope I'm going with Eda on this one, this kind of talk is gross.
[Eda and Lilith are also in beds]
Raymond: I think it's pretty cool that our team had three awakenings in one night.
A.X.E.L.: But right now, it won't be enough to take on One.
Luz: You guys ran into One?
[West nods]
West: Yes, his power is more dominant than that of our own combined.
Coco: Which means we will have to be on guard. If One can take on four of our squad members at his lowest
A.X.E.L.: imagine what he could do at his best.
[Luz speaks up]
Luz: Guys, we can't let them get to us. If we show fear then we're letting them win.
[Luz struggles to get up]
Luz: *embarrassed* Willow, Gus a little help?
[Willow and Gus help her stand]
Luz: Right now we may be at our lowest, but if we work together and train harder than ever, we can show them who the strongest Witch Warriors are in the Isles!
Arthur: She's not wrong.
Luz: So as soon as all of us are healed up. Let's train harder than before, and next time we run into them, we'll show them who's boss! Whose with me!
[Everyone yells agreeing with Luz]
Edric: And we'll help too!
[Everyone notices Emira and Edric in their group]
Raymond: Hey how the hell did you two get in here?!
Emira: Coco let us in. So anyway.
[She and Edric grab onto Arthur]
Edric: How do we do this Spirit Power thing?!
Emira: You'd be willing to teach two cool kids like us right?
Arthur: Uh idk, Amity did say you guys ditch class.
Ed and Em: What?! That's not true!
Luz: I mean it kind of is.
Emira: Hey, whose side are you on?!
Edric: Yeah!
[Everyone then laughs at their conversation, Amity laughs for a bit, until a vision is placed in her head, one where Luz where the a giant portal is open, two figures clash to the death, and a familiar female figure is stopping them only to get killed in the process. The female falls to the ground and is revealed to be Luz, the vision ends with Amity watching everyone conversing with one another]
Amity: (Was that? The day of Unity, no I'll prevent it, I'll be sure of it!)
[At the lair of Meta, Watts is beat to the ground]
One: *pissed* Not only did you jeopardize our plan to eliminate the rest of them! But you also managed to lose valuable resources to our end goal! Do you have anything to say for yourself?!
[Watts coughs]
Watts: I'm sorry Commander it won't happen again.
One: It better not. Now tell me! What have you found out about the girl?
Watts: I couldn't find anything that could help us. She was completely depleted of power.
[One growls]
One: Then give me something that can be useful!
[Watts gets on his knees]
Watts: The Blight Girl, she possesses a fragment!
One: WHAT?!
[Watts whimpers as his Sigma Spirit is unlocked]
One: All the known fragments are either destroyed or taken. Which one is this?!
Watts: *terrified* It's the Beta Fragment! It drove her into Madness, but that is all I know I swear!
[One ends the Conqueror's Eye]
One: The Beta Fragment?
[One walks around the room with his hands behind his back, in deep thought]
One: This might actually be good.
[One chuckles]
One: Very well Watts, you are forgiven. But if you ever go behind my back again! I won't hesitate to decapitate you with my own hand!
[One unlocks his Arm sword with the tip at the tap on the throat]
One: *angered* Do I make myself clear?
Watts: *terrified* Yes Commander, it won't happen again!
One: Good!
[One removes his sword]
Tank: Do you want me to end the girl?
One: You won't be needed for a job like this. Best to leave it to the professionals. Mohawk, Pyro!
[Mohawk and Pyro gain his attention]
Pyro: Yes sir?
One: Bring me the one they call Amity Blight. And make sure she is brought in alive. We may be able to make use of her.
Pyro: Yes sir!
Mohawk: Heheh, finally some action!
[Mohawk sharpens her knifes and pierces them on the table]
Mohawk: Time to lay some hate!
[The front of an unknown temple outside of Bonesborough]
Warlord: This is the place.
Ronin: At last.
[Ronin and Warlord walk through the ground and stop at the entrance]
Ronin: The key is within our reach. All we need to do now is retrieve it.
[Ronin takes out the Orb Amity brought from her pocket, she twists both ends forcing it to glow, causing the temple to activate, out of nowhere a tiny pillar digs itself out of the ground, Warlord and Ronin nod to each other]
Warlord: Shall we?
Ronin: *snickered* This is what we trained for. So let's begin.
[Ronin places the orb at the top of the pillar and it pulls itself on the pillar like a magnet, the temple door opens revealing multiple guardians preparing for battle.]
Ronin: Get ready!
[Ronin get's out a katana while Warlord cracks his knuckles and summons his bladed gauntlets, one guardian lands in front of them]
Guardian: Who dares step foot on this sacred temple?
