Chapter 27: Dancing with the Elements
[The first day of the twins training, they thought it would be fun, boy were they wrong.]
[After a little bit of strength training from West, they immediately lie flat on their backs as soon as the warmup was over]
West: Wow, you two can't even handle a simple warm up.
[Emira tries to catch her breath but is surprised by West's words]
Emira: *tired* WHAT?!
[She slowly pants]
Emira: *tired* That wasn't even part of the training?
Edric: Is this what exercise feels like?!
[West pinches the bridge of his nose]
West: Seriously? You're fast and you get tired already?
Edric: Oh please, us Blights don't even get tired!
Emira: Well most of the time. So if anything, *pant* We can reassure you that we are just getting started.
[West grunts]
West: Very good, let's continue on with our training shall we?
[Edric summons a spell circle and places a kick me sign on West's back]
[Both twins chuckle for a bit]
[until West throws the Paper back like a bullet at Edric, Edric dodges in time]
Ed and Em: Huh?
[West glares at them and gestures that he will be keeping his eye on them]
Edric: *gulp*
Emira: Yeah, maybe it's best that we don't mess with him.
[For the next hour, The twins continue their strength training, by lifting Weights with Willow.]
Willow: Hey Pops? When can I add more weight to my training?
West: Wouldn't recommend it just yet, kid. You just started on 300 pounds.
Ed and Em: *shocked* (Wait what?!)
West: Plus adding the weights on your arms it's about 500 in total. But I wouldn't recommend going heavier just yet, remember what I told you, too much weight can put strain on your body. So play it safe for now.
Willow: *determined* Got it.
[Surprised by the Willow's strength compared to them not being able to lift 10 pounds yet is surprising]
Edric: Maybe we shouldn't mess with her?
Emira: You think?!
[One hour later, the twins bodies feel as if they were doing chores all day, they both fall the minute the put the weights down]
West: Alright nice job you two. You're lucky today is Saturday.
Edric: *nervous* What's great about Saturday?
West: Usually it's around this time we all have lunch together. So head to the dining area. And we will meet you there in 30 minutes.
Edric: *excited* LUNCH?!
[Hear the word lunch, excites Edric, because after he got in trouble during breakfast and at school, he wasn't allowed to eat anything for the rest of the day. And from Luz's stories about A.X.E.L.'s large proportions in meals, he knows that this is a day where he can pig out and eat as much as he can]
[he shots out of the room as fast as he could towards the dining area leaving Emira behind]
Emira: Ed! Or for pete's sake.
West: Why don't you catch up to him. Maybe look around the base for a while.
Emira: Alright. Thanks West.
[Emira exits the weight room and explores the Ship, during her walk she hears a familiar voice arguing with another.]
Kotoha: No you're doing it completely wrong!
Luz: What do you mean I'm doing it wrong? I'm doing it exactly like you said to do it!
Emira: What the heck?
[Emira peaks into the door the voices were coming from and sees three people wearing strange outfits]
Gus: Guys please calm down.
Kotoha: At least Gus is nailing the moves exactly right. And he's not even a woman.
Gus: Didn't you say Men performed in the past dressed up like women though.
Kotoha: Technically yes. I mean if it's not hard for him then it shouldn't be hard for you to say the least.
Luz: I mean if I'm being honest it's really hard to move in this Kimono, it's really big.
Kotoha: Well you have to look the part if you want to infiltrate your enemies.
Gus: Wait why, I mean we don't even have stuff like this on the Isles.
Kotoha: Well something like this might come in handy eventually, plus, dancing helps out in sports.
Luz: Ballet sure, but how does this benefit us?
Kotoha: You never know. Now from the top!
[Emira watches as they practice the unknown dance from a foreign realm, both Gus and Luz perform with grace to the music, waving their fans gently.]
Emira: That looks nice.
[Luz slips and the music stops]
Kotoha: マジ卍。バカですか?
Luz: バカじゃないよ！！！
Gus: 二人とも、落ち着。
K and L: Not now Gus!
[Both continue to argue in the strange language, and Emira decides to leave]
[The second she turned around the first that catches her Eye is Kotoha]
Emira: Bwah!
[Kotoha grabs her shirts and pulls her into the room]
Kotoha: Well what do you know we have a new student to this freak show. And it's the flame lady.
Emira: Flame lady! For the record! I have a name!
Kotoha: Yeah yeah sure. Right now get dressed. You have a lot of catching up to do.
Emira: Catching up?
Kotoha: You signed up for this, you will do it right!
[Emira is frightened, and immediately tries to leave, but Kotoha uses a chain to pull her into class]
Emira: Oh come on!
Kotoha: We all have thirty minutes till Lunch, let's get it done people!
[In the dining area are A.X.E.L., Eda, Lilith, King and Raymond]
[Raymond continues to juggle understanding the runes, making blueprints for the so called Portal, and working on Costumes for the twins]
[A.X.E.L. focuses on making Lunch, specifically Chinese noodle soup, humming as we continues preparations]
[A.X.E.L. turns and notices that Raymond seems to be having a difficult time, which is rarely shown in some cases]
[Eda and Lilith notice as well and begin to converse with him]
Eda: Hey kid, that seems like an awful lot of work you got there, why don't you take a breather?
[A.X.E.L. pours a cup of jasmine tea and hands it to Raymond]
Raymond: Don't worry about it, it's a lot of work, but I can get it done.
[Raymond takes the cup and sips from it]
Raymond: I gotta be honest though. Juggling all this is a bit stressful at times.
A.X.E.L.: Have you ever thought about asking for help?
Raymond: I don't think anyone would be able to understand the stuff I do. Plus even if they did help me it'd be a hassle to teach them.
Lilith: Oh come on, I'm pretty sure there are some Witches out there who would be willing to try and help you.
Raymond: Maybe, but right now it's best if I should focus on this.
[Raymond rubs his temples]
Raymond: But thanks for the concern guys, I really appreciate it.
Eda: Hey anytime, I mean if Luz were in my shoes, I'm pretty sure that she would want you to relax a bit.
Raymond: Well sometimes missions like these you can't rest.
Lilith: And why is that?
A.X.E.L.: Let's just say. You never when something out of the ordinary will pop and shock you.
[A.X.E.L. explains as he sips the broth]
A.X.E.L.: It needs more salt.
[Then suddenly a huge bolt of lightning comes bursting through the door]
Eda: You mean like that?
A.X.E.L.: Eeyup.
[The smoke begins to clear and reveals that Edric is once again naked with his clothes torn apart]
Lilith: Oh my.
[Lilith covers her eyes]
[Eda stares down and cocks and eyebrow]
[Raymond does the same]
Raymond: Dude your clothes.
Eda: Yeah, might wanna cover up down there.
[Edric looks down and complains]
Edric: Dammit, I just bought these.
[Edric walks over to Raymond]
Edric: Hey Raymond, give me your coat.
[Raymond becomes disgusted]
Raymond: Hey no, I'm not giving you my coat.
Edric: Well I gotta wear something.
[Edric reaches out to him as jolts of electricity begin form]
Raymond: Whoa!
[Raymond puts up a barrier]
[Edric places his hand on it and sends Raymond flying in a bubble]
Raymond: OW!
Edric: Aw man not again!
[Lilith picks up Raymond as she walks over to him]
Raymond: One thing that's hard to deal with these days is speedsters.
Lilith: What's a Speedster?
[Lilith dusts off any hint of ash that might appear]
Raymond: It's someone who can go very fast, so fast that no one sees them coming.
[Edric looks around and sees that lunch is almost ready]
Edric: OO! What are you making A.X.E.L.?
A.X.E.L.: Just making some Chinese Noodle Soup for Lunch, a whole lot of it.
[A.X.E.L. tosses Edric a piece of clothing from the cabinet]
[Edric catches it and puts it on
Edric: Thank Titan. I haven't had anything to eat since breakfast.
A.X.E.L.: Why's that?
[Edric frowns and begins to explain]
Edric: I didn't want to get in trouble with my mom, cause after I got in trouble I wasn't allowed to eat for the rest of the day.
A.X.E.L.: Hmm.
[Raymond places himself on his seat]
Raymond: Sucks to be you dude.
[Raymond tries to tap his Brace, but for some reason it wouldn't turn on]
Raymond: What the?
[He proceeds to tapping it continuously]
Raymond: Why isn't this working?
King: What's wrong with you?
Raymond: My tech brace won't turn on. And I just charged this.
[King scurries over and takes a look, and smacks it as hard as he can]
Raymond: Hey, this isn't a toy, be gentle.
[He puts King's paw down]
King: Well excuse me for trying to help.
[Edric groans]
King: What's wrong with you?
Edric: Yeah I think that's my fault.
Raymond: What do you mean?
[Edric spins his chair around facing Raymond and King]
Edric: Well for some reason, it happened yesterday while I was here. While West was chasing me and Emira. I may have stumbled upon one of those button things and somehow stole some power.
[Raymond becomes baffled after listening to Edric ability]
Raymond: So you're saying you stole power?
Edric: Yup.
Raymond: Oh so you're that type of speedster!
[Raymond rushes over to Edric's costume layout and begins to write some new schematics]
Edric: What do you mean by that type?
Raymond: All speedsters are very fast, but in some instances where they have certain abilities to add. And in your case you can steal energy and expel it onto others.
Edric: Uh? What?
[Raymond sighs]
Raymond: I mean you get energy from any source, and turn it into a weapon.
Edric: Oh.
Raymond: I just need to figure out how you can release it without having any accidents.
A.X.E.L.: What if you and I teach him Capoeira?
Edric: Wait what?
Raymond: Oh yeah. And maybe with certain moves he can create multiple attacks.
A.X.E.L.: And if we can figure out what levels of speeds the spins can create.
Raymond: He may be able to generate and gather lightning at different tempos.
A.X.E.L.: And he can fire it at the right target.
Raymond: But first I got to figure out how fast he can go.
A.X.E.L.: If we can put him on the treadmill we could know.
Raymond: I mean we could try that..
[The two continue to speak as the Witches and King become confused at their conversation]
King: Do you have any idea what they are talking about?
Lilith: maybe it's a human thing?
Eda: They mostly speak more of nerd than fighters.
[Both Shatter Squad members continue their talk]
[Edric interrupts]
Edric: Hey uh quick question?!
[Both Raymond and A.X.E.L. pause and focus on Edric]
Edric: What is Capoeira and how exactly will it help me with...
[Edric gestures his whole body]
Edric: ...this?
Raymond: Well Edric, uhm since you're a Speedster, we think that Capoeira might help be more agile.
A.X.E.L.: Because if you run so much you might become an easy target.
Raymond: Plus you might not want to risk breaking your arms, because you'll need them for absorbing and redirecting energy.
A.X.E.L.: and Capoeira and a little bit of taekwondo will help with some kicking power, since from this point on you'll be focusing on your legs.
Edric: So, I'll be using my arms for firing and my legs for attacking?
Raymond: Precisely.
Edric: But why do I have to dance? It just sounds stupid.
A.X.E.L.: Oh you think it's stupid eh? Raymond, show him.
[Raymond breaks out his radio and plays a mix tape. He and A.X.E.L. demonstrate their skills and begin to attack each other while dancing]
[Everyone in the room began to drop their jaws]
[The music continues while both men continue to stand, Raymond performs a flare that throws A.X.E.L. off balance, but A.X.E.L. flips and lands on his feet, the music ends and both of them bow to each other]
Raymond: And that's how you do it.
Edric: I don't think I can do that.
A.X.E.L.: Why not?
Edric: I mean it looks cool. But do you really think I can pull off something like that?
A.X.E.L.: How about after Lunch you give it a try, and then you let us know what you think.
Edric: Alright I guess it can't be too hard. Besides, it looks fun.
Raymond: That's the spirit.
[A.X.E.L. pulls out some food from the pot, places it in a bowl and hands it to Edric]
A.X.E.L.: Eat up so we can start practice.
King: *angry* Hey, why does he get to eat!?
[A.X.E.L. pulls out another bowl for King]
King: Thank you.
[Hours later after practicing their specific dances, both twins come out more tired than ever]
Edric: Man that was tiring!
[Edric continues to pant]
Emira: You said it. That Kotoha is terrifying!
Edric: Why were you with Kotoha?
Emira: somehow i got roped into her dance class.
Edric: You're having dance practice too?
Emira: Wait what?
[Both sit down on the bench and talk about their day.]
Edric: So you are learning how to dance with fans?
Emira: And you're learning to dance and fight?
Edric: This just got weird.
Emira: This is weird isn't it?
[Both pause for a moment]
Edric: But if I'm being honest though. It's actually kind of fun.
Emira: If you put it that way then yeah.
Edric: But real talk though, should we continue to do this?
Emira: What do you mean?
Edric: I mean just saying, what if something bad were to happen to us?
Emira: Oh come on don't think like that, I mean think of the real reason why we decided to do this.
[Edric looks ahead and remembers the moment Amity came in contact with that thing. And fast forwards to the day she broke someone's arm]
Edric: For Mittens.
Emira: Look, we have to do this. If something like that were to happen to our baby sister again. We need to be there to stop her.
Edric: That is true.
[Edric chuckles a little bit]
Emira: What's so funny?
Edric: nothing, I mean ever since Luz came along, we've been more protective over Amity. Before that we were jerks.
Emira: you can say that again.
[Both pause for a few moments]
Emira: So you still want to continue to do this.
Edric: Do you want to cause more damage to the school and get in trouble with Mom?
Emira: then it's settled.
[Both nod at each other and continue their training]
[For the next couple of days Edric proceeds with practice his moves]
[At some moments he slips, and whenever he tries to spin on his head or star upside down, he falls down. While learning Capoeira and at moments during his training, his cartwheels were too slow, and whenever he would kick he would trip, he lands on his butt.]
Edric: *pain* AW!
[A.X.E.L. offers his hand, and picks up Edric]
[Edric starts to feel tired, he immediately has this spark in his eye. Normally he would give up, but if it's learning something this fun, he kept going]
[West watches from the door and sees the male twin's progress]
[As for Emira, learning to dance and fight with fans, fails to snap her fan open]
Emira: Aw man.
[Kotoha steps in and demonstrates exactly how she did it, and Emira decides to follow]
[Slowly she would nail the dance, and later Kotoha would kick her out of nowhere.]
[Shocked that she would even do that, Kotoha unfolds her fan and gestures her to fight back]
Kotoha: You think dancing is all these fans are good for?
Emira: Oh it is on!
[Both trainer and trainee attack each other, parrying each other's moves, Emira twirls three times and releases a wave of fire]
[Kotoha stops it with wind and smirks under her mask]
Kotoha: Oh this is getting interesting.
[Kotoha scurries over to her and begins to launch another attack, she kicks Emira fan out of the way and performs another one to get it out of the way, she goes for three more strikes with her foot, but Emira manages to move away]
Kotoha: Your move Blight.
[Emira first idea was to get her fan, but she knew that Kotoha would follow her]
[An idea popped into her head, if she can't get her fan, why not make one]
[Emira claps her hands together]
[Luz and Gus watch]
Gus: What's she doing?
Luz: I don't know but it's getting interesting!
[She raises one arm and flicks it down creating a fan made from flames]
Emira: Yes it worked!
Kotoha: Flame fan, gotta say that's interesting. Now show me what you can do?
[Emira takes her stance]
Emira: With pleasure cutie.
[She winks]
[And both continue to fight]
[3 weeks have passed and Edric tumbles down as his stomach is empty and starts to growl]
Edric: UGH! I'm so hungry!
Amity: Really you just had breakfast?
Edric: Well for some reason, one plate of breakfast to me is like eating a tiny piece of bread.
Emira: Did you ever ask why you have the munchies?
Edric: Never crossed my mind actually.
[Edric and Emira continue to walk around the base]
[West appears behind them]
West: Since Ed is a speedster he needs to eat a lot in order to gain energy for his speed.
[Emira and Edric flop as they hear his voice]
Emira: West?! Were you listening the whole time?
West: Of course I was. When you're here you're my responsibility. Now come on, I'll make you something to eat.
[West walks ahead of them]
Emira: Should we follow him?
Amity: I don't know, it seems odd.
Edric: Well if he has food count me in.
West: Are you three going to stand around there or what?
Blights: Coming!
[All three are in the kitchen with West as he cooks up something from the human realm and for some reason Luz and Willow are there too]
[The grills begins to make sizzling sounds as he flips the meat over and over again]
West: How do you kids eat your beef? Well done? Medium well? Medium rare? Or just raw?
Luz: Medium for me please.
Willow: Same here.
[All three siblings are confused]
Amity: We have..
Emira: No idea what you're talking about.
West: Medium well it is.
[West continue to cook the meat as he gets the bread buns out, and toasts them]
Emira: Hey, I just realised, where is that Arthur guy?
Edric: Yeah, haven't seen him since, well the day we got recruited.
West: Arthur said he had some business to attend to.
[Amity begins to raise he suspicions]
Amity: *suspicions* What kind of business?
[West continues to cook]
West: He didn't say, all I know is that he told me he was going somewhere, and never how long or what it is he's doing.
[West begins to stack what appears to be sandwiches]
Amity: Well, could it possibly be something from your past?
West: Hmm?
[In Amity's head]
Amity: (It's possible it's something related to Luz, but if Arthur has connections to her, it's best that I get it from him since she told me that they were on the same team in the past).
West: Well the only past I have is losing my family, other than that nothing. Anyway here they are, the West special.
[West places hamburgers in front of Emira, Luz, Willow and Amity]
Emira: Oooo.
Edric: Wait where's mine?
[West brings out a really big one for Ed]
West: This one is yours. And you don't have to worry there are no dairy products.
[Edric squeals at his meal and begins to scarf it down]
Edric: *muffled* What's this food called again?
West: Hamburgers.
Edric: I love it!
[Emira takes a bite and also enjoys it]
Amity: Wait what do you mean lose your family?
[West takes off his apron and leans on the table]
West: During my Project Roundtable days, I actually had a family of my own. My kids became knights of Chorus, sadly their lives were taken, and Connie was the only family I had left. But she was also on the verge of death.
Amity: Oh.
West: Then Project Roundtable performed experiments on her to keep her alive. And nothing would help her, until I came across a certain fragment of the Alpha Titan.
Amity: A fragment? Like my Beta?
West: Yeah.
[Edric takes another bite]
Edric: So these fragments? Are they weapons?
West: something like that. But this certain fragment was able to keep her alive. For a few more years.
Emira: But what about that armour you're collecting? Could that have helped her?
West: Sadly I wouldn't know, since we don't know what the armour is capable of.
Luz: Hold on a second, if it's a fragment she possessed, maybe one of the members of Meta might have it, I encountered them, so I might know.
West: *sigh* Well if you wanna know, her fragment was one of the strongest ones there is. Some might say it's power is unstoppable.
Luz: From what I can tell they're all unstoppable.
West: I highly doubt it, because this one is a bit of a challenge to control. This fragment is called Theta, the Alpha's trust.
[Amity stops]
West: With that fragment the user can basically get anyone to trust them.
[Amity begins to remember that Ronin had that fragment]
West: Not only that, if you get trapped in the lava dome, the user is basically God.
[Amity decides to keep this to herself, as she takes another bite.]
Willow: If I ever run into the member that has Theta, I'm going to get it back.
West: Aw thanks Willow.
[Amity, continues to overhear the conversation]
Amity: (The Theta fragment, that's what Ronin had, but if she isn't a member of Meta, how exactly did she get her hands on it.)
[Edric burps really loud]
Edric: AW that was amazing, I've never had anything as good as that before!
West: Don't your parents make you food or something?
[The blight siblings then begin to feel down]
Emira: No actually.
West: Hmm?
Emira: Our parents aren't exactly what you'd expect them to be.
Amity: Most parents care about their children. But for us. They only care about status, and associating with the strong. Heck they were the reason why I stopped being friends with Willow.
[West sits down to listen]
Amity: We had to live by our mom's standards. They chose the people who get to be our friends, the way we dress and look.
Edric: They even make Mittens here a display for the products of Blight industries.
[Luz begins to feel bad for Amity]
Luz: it's really that bad huh?
[Amity nods, Luz gently grabs her hand]
West: I'll tell ya one thing, your parents sound like they're the shittiest beings on the planet. But if I were you. I'd stand up to them one of these days.
Edric: Well that's the hard part.
Emira: Our Mom is impossible to stand up to. Even if we show a hint of weakness, she would always find ways to get into our heads. Especially Amity, since to them she is someone that they see as a powerful witch. And being powerful means getting rid of the weak.
Edric: Honestly whenever we see you training or talking together. It almost feels like something like that can't be real for us.
[Edric tries to hold back his tears]
Edric: Sometimes seeing you guys act like a family, even if it isn't by blood. It just makes us wonder, why couldn't we have anything like that.
[Emira grips her arm]
Emira: Whenever we get attention from our parents, it's mostly about grades or how powerful we get, but they won't pick us up when we are done. Shatter Squad on the other hand, they're open with each other, they're always there for each other.
Amity: Makes us wonder if we could ever find a place to belong.
[West stands up and grabs all three of them]
West: You three are foolish.
[He gently hugs The Blight siblings at the same time]
[The three become senile]
Emira: Huh?! What are you doing?
Edric: What is happening?
[They struggle to escape, but deep down they are hesitant, because they have never felt a hug like this from anyone]
West: If you want me to stop I'll respect your wishes. But right now, I feel as if you need this.
[They stop squirming around and rest their arms]
West: *calm* Whenever I find those that feel as if they are lost. They tell me that they want to find a place to call home. When I was your age I never had a home to go to. But now I can tell you that if you ever need a place to belong, you always have a place with us. It might not feel like that now, in the beginning it feels like you'll hold us back, but soon you learn that it's okay to show weakness, it's okay to cry, it's okay to let everyone know that you need help. That's one of the reasons why I formed this group, to give people like you a place you may call your home.
[The twins begin to have tears in their eyes]
West: And when the day comes that you want to stand up to your parents, I'd be glad to be there by your side. Because you three may not be related to me by blood. But I consider everyone here my sons and daughters. That includes you three knuckleheads.
[Amity begins to cry along with the Twins]
[Luz and Willow smile as they watch the scene unfold]
West: There you go let it out.
[Tears continue to fall]
West: And Edric, if ever you want to have breakfast, just come here early, and I'll feed you anything you like.
[Edric sniffs]
Edric: *shocked* You'd really do that?!
West: Of course. Can't have you working on an empty stomach.
Edric: *sob* Thank you Pops!
[Edric holds onto West tightly]
[Then comes the next few days of training, Emira nails the dance practice along with fighting with the fire fans, Edric eventually perfects his movements in Capoeira and also manages to hit a speed of Mach 1]
[The continue their training in weights, combat and target practice]
[Eventually Raymond calls them into the dress room to give them a surprise]
[The twins along with Luz and Amity enter the Dress room]
Raymond: Ah Edric, Emira, it's about time you two showed up.
Emira: So what's the surprise?
Raymond: Since you two have been working hard lately, I thought it was about time I gave these to you.
[Raymond holds up to brief cases]
Edric: What are those? And why do they have names on them?
Raymond: Usually for costume cases we put your call signs on the top to show them that the case belongs to you. Edric your case is Svaha, while Emira's is Brenna.
Emira: Wait, costumes?
Luz: It's what we wear when we go on missions.
[Both twins open their cases. To find canisters]
Emira: Raymond, these are cans? With our so-called "call-signs".
Raymond: Oh yeah, it's a little project I'm working on. I'll explain it to you all another time. Any just place it around your waists.
[Both twins look at each other and shrug]
[Following Raymond's instructions they tap the cans on below their belly buttons]
[The cans begins to explodes as it wraps themselves onto of them]
[After a few seconds their clothing is revealed]
[Edric possessing an orange sleeveless shirt, along with Gauntlets and shoes with a lightning pattern on them, a native american necklace, and also blue long sleeved tights]
[Emira was given a Magenta sleeveless crop top with the same coloured arm coolers and boots, brown pants and a skirt around her waist.]
Edric: *unsure* Hmm?
Emira: *unsure* Uh?
[The twins inspect their outfits]
Raymond: Really that's the reaction I'm going to get? Do you guys not like it?
Emira: Well it's just.
[Emira covers her waist]
Emira: I've never worn something this revealing.
Edric: And I never wore anything that doesn't match my colours.
[Raymond facepalms]
Raymond: You guys said your mother likes colour coordinating your wardrobe, so I thought it's nice to think outside the box. Plus the fabrics completely fit your abilities. Go on and try them out.
[Emira is hesitant but generates a flame from her palm]
Raymond: Not like that Emira, your feet.
Emira: My feet? Why would I-
Raymond: Just try it.
[Emira focuses on forcing the flames out her foot soles. Flames erupt and begin to elevate her]
Emira: Whoa!
Raymond: I developed your boots to be fire resistant and also help you fly in case you need to evade. But the reason I gave you revealing clothing is that you won't get hot. Because I don't think long sleeved pants and shirts can resist the heat.
Emira: Okay I guess I can work with this.
Edric: Well good for you Em, but what do I get?
[Raymond goes over to Ed and pats his shoulder]
Raymond: Run one round across the base.
Edric: But I just got these.
Raymond: Trust me.
[Edric sighs and zips across the base under for five seconds, the moment he comes back, his clothes have zero signs of any rips]
Luz: hey they didn't come off.
Amity: How's that possible?
Raymond: Heheheh! Figuring out how to not let his clothes rip was the tricky part, so I did some digging and then got hold of a certain fabric that's exclusive to astronauts. Quartz Sand Fabric.
Edric: What's that?
Raymond: It's the stuff that Astronauts use for their space suits. NASA uses it to protect spaceships during reentry, in order to avoid burning up from the immense air friction encountered when you run, as well as being cold resistant, in the event that it's exposed to extreme temperatures.
Edric: I did not get any of that.
Raymond: I'll explain it to you another time. Any who it's time to put these costumes and your new skills to the test.
[Both enter the arena as they walk in with their new uniforms]
Emira: So how exactly are we going to test this, we going to do target practice or something like that?
Coco: No, not the usual training. For this test, you guys are fighting. Those two.
[Coco points both fingers at Gus and King]
Edric: You're making us fight, Gus and King? Why?
Raymond: After twenty seven long chapters. Those two haven't had their chance to shine yet, so why not let them show off what they learned by fighting the latest rookies.
Emira: twenty seven long chapters? What the hell is that supposed to mean?!
Coco: Anyway, good luck.
[Raymond and Coco leave the arena as Gus and King prepare for battle]
King: So you two have been working hard huh? Well I'm here to let you know that I, the King of Demons, have been working twice as hard as both of you.
Gus: King, don't belittle them. This is supposed to be a friendly sparring match.
King: Where I will wipe the floor with them.
[Gus groans and walks over to the twins]
Gus: I'm glad you guys actually get to fight for the first time. How do you feel?
Emira: Honestly a little confused.
Edric: yeah I'm having doubts about this whole sparring match?
Gus: Would it make you feel better if I went easy on you?
Edric: Please don't.
[The Megaphone screeches]
West: Alright you four, for most of you this the first time fighting another Spirit user. So be careful and try not to kill each other. Remember this is a sparring and exhibition match so good luck to all of you. Now the fight will begin in five minutes, so get to your positions, and get ready. But before we start Edric, Emira, remember who you're fighting for. And why, you both decided to do this in the first place?
[Edric and Emira flashbacks to the moment Amity fused with the Beta Spirit]
Edric: (I'm doing this because I let something dangerous happen to my sister. I was too stupid too notice, so if there ever is a moment to save her,..
[Edric grips his hand tightly]
Edric: ...Then I'm ready to run as fast as possible with these new abilities)
Emira: (I joined this force to have some time to figure out who I am. I need to be able to defend myself, because I don't know what my younger siblings would do without me. Which is why I have to be their flame! I need to be my own flame. If I ever leave them, I need to let myself know that my light will always burn bright in their hearts)
Ed and Em: (I'm doing this for Amity, I'm doing this for my family, I'm doing this for Edric/Emira, I'm doing this for ME!)
[A wave of energy pulses through their veins, as they try to resist the headache]
Phoenix and Thunderbird: Let us seal the contract.
Phoenix: I am the immortal flame, reborn from the ashes!
Thunderbird: With my powers I was granted the ability to save the next generation!
[Both begin to fall and struggle]
Phoenix: Now with my flame and your elegance.
Thunderbird: With my powers and your speed!
P and T: Nothing can stand in our way, now say name!
Ed and Em: SPIRIT POWER!
[Yellow and Red aura burst from the twins]
Edric: GREAT STORM! THUNDERBIRD
Emira: IMMORTAL FLAME! PHOENIX!
[Two spirits appear behind them, Behind Edric a giant grey Eagle with Six wings and lightning materializing around it. As for Emira, behind her is a black bird engulfed in flaming feathers]
West: I think now is the time to begin!
[Before West gives the go signal, the rest of the crew begin to discuss the outcome]
Raymond: So what do we think?
Kotoha: Although both of my students are fighting each other, I have to give it to Gus and King. Gus has been training hard ever since he came here. And mastered the things I have taught him without hesitation.
[Gus prepares with side to side stretches]
Kotoha: He's a force to be reckoned with.
Willow: I'm with Kotoha, I've seen Gus outside of training, and he's really dedicated to this. Although I've never seen him fight against foes like this. He might stand a chance.
Coco: What about King though?
Kotoha: King?!
[King taps his fingers like a villain
Kotoha: The little guy is all talk.
Luz: He's not only all talk, remember on my first mission, he took on the Elites like they were nothing. Plus he has that Tic Toc Croc on his side so with that keeping Ed and Em at a distance, they might stand a chance.
[A.X.E.L. buts in]
A.X.E.L.: But remember though, Ed and Em have training in long distance combat.
[Edric warms up]
A.X.E.L.: There is also the fact that Edric can move at Mach 1.1, I highly doubt they can react to that. So my money is on the twins.
Coco: Let's not forget about Emira...
[Emira emits fire from her palm]
Coco: Kotoha trained her in combat, so she might have picked up a thing or two from her training. But King has sword training and Tic Toc Croc, who can hold down those monsters we faced on our rescue mission.
Raymond: It almost feels like we are pitting unstoppable forces against immovable objects.
Luz: Who's what exactly?
Raymond: Yes. Eda, Lilith your thoughts?
Eda: Honestly I'm a little worried about King. If he gets cocky for at least a minute, he'll be caught off guard. But in terms of raw power, I think Goops and King have this in the bag.
Lilith: Well I believe in the twins' victory, they always have tricks up their sleeves, and they can get away with anything.
Luz: What do you think, Amity?
[Amity places her hand on her chin]
Amity: I could see this match going either way, but if there is one thing we can agree one they've all come a long way. And I'm not picking sides. I just think no matter what the outcome, they'll become more powerful from it.
[Everyone hums in agreement]
Amity: For now, let's just see how this turns out.
[All four fighters take their marks]
West: Remember the only way to win this match, is if both your opponents give up, or if you get knocked off the arena. It doesn't matter how you do it. Just have a clean match. Do you understand?
Ed, Em, G, K: Yes sir!
West: Good luck to you all.
[Everyone takes their stance]
Gus: Nue!
King: PETER PAN FROM NEVERLAND!
[Their Spirits appear behind them as they summon their weapons]
West: Alright with everyone ready! You may now begin!
[The teams run towards each other]
[King and Emira take to the skies, Edric dashes towards Gus, And Gus throws a peace sign]

Notice: Hello everyone, I have good news and bad news regarding the Owl House Warriors and my life right now!
The good news is that I'll be starting College next week! I'll be taking an animation course and I am very excited because I'm steps closer to fulfilling my dreams! And maybe one of these days I can finally make this fanfiction into an actual game! Let's pray for the best!
But the bad news is, I'll be taking a break from writing Owl House Warriors. For those who don't understand I'll explain. Since I'm going to College next week, I don't know if I'll have the time to write with all the work load, so from this point on Owl House Warriors will be on hiatus, I don't know for how long, but I promise that when I come back, I'll have the rest of the story prepared for you all.
For all those who stayed with me until this point, I applaud you in doing so, and I just want to say thanks. I know I'm not that talented of a writer, but it's nice to know that there are some people who read my work. It has been a blessing to write this story and share it with you. So hopefully when I come back. I'll probably be posting every two weeks from that point, so I can focus on my school work and juggle Writing at the same time. Yeah that's probably for the best. But in the mean time, I will continue to write character introductions in Archive of our own, just look for my account. And hopefully we will meet again in the future.
