Chapter 32: Sharkface
[Viney lays down a therapy chair holding a cup of tea, her hands shake remembering the events of last night, Coco begins to take down notes]
Coco: Now, explain everything about the events from last night.
[Viney is hesitant, but takes a deep breath]
Viney: (nervous) My friends and I were riding on Puddles' back. We were heading for the forest to get ingredients for Jerbo's abomination class and Barcus' Potions class. We settled down on a spot to gather everything we needed. We got our supplies and planned on leaving since it was nighttime. As soon as we were about to leave, that thing showed up.
Coco: What thing?
[in the flashback, Puddles' animal instincts go haywire and begins to panic, Viney tries to calm her down but immediately hears running]
Viney: I was skeptical at first, but after hearing the fierce footsteps, it jumped at us.
[A monster jumps out of the forest and begins to attack Viney and the others.]
[They all try to fight back with their magic and their training, but the monster was too strong for them and defeated all of them]
Viney: We tried to fight back, but that monster's power was overwhelming. It was like something out of a nightmare.
[Viney drops to the floor, as she looks up, she notices that the monster is sinking it's fangs into Puddles]
Viney: (panics) It started to sink it's fangs into Puddles. She was terrified, then he said.
[Viney plays the voice in her head]
Sharkface: (voracious) Say, your blood tastes enticing!
[The monster opens his mouth to begin devouring Puddles]
Viney: (panics)He was going to devour Puddles, I couldn't do anything because I was too weak to stand!
[Tears form in Viney's eyes]
Viney: But that's when he came.
Coco: He?
Viney: A.X.E.L. showed up out of the blue, rescued Puddles, and drove that thing away. It looked like they had a conversation but I couldn't understand what they were saying.
[Flashback ends]
Viney: (scared) I'm relieved he saved Puddles, but I'm just mad at myself knowing I couldn't do anything! I just layed down there and let that monster harm my Gryphon.
Coco: It's not your fault Viney. You're new to this whole fighting thing. Right now you're feeling trauma. It's normal for kids who see events like this haunt their minds. We call it Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
[Viney look up at Coco]
Viney: But right now, I need you to describe to me what this monster looked like.
[After Viney gives a description as to what this thing was Shatter Squad, Luz, Eda and Lilith begin to unveil their mystery monster]
West: After listening to Viney's description, this guy pretty much fits the bill.
Raymond: This quote on quote monster is known as Sharkface.
Luz: Sharkface? Like does he have a literal Shark for a face? *chuckles*
[Raymond puts up a picture]
Luz: Oh, that's interesting.
Eda: Uh quick question, what's a shark?
Raymond: It's a marine creature, and also an apex predator, it lurks in oceans feeding on other marine life, what gets them riled up however is the scent of blood. Some sources of Shark attacks have been on humans.
Eda: A sea creature that eats humans by the scent of blood. That's something I can get by.
Lilith: Edalyn!
Luz: So what's this guy known for?
Raymond: Uh, charges include assault, breaking and entering, Homicide, murder of children, Devouring thousands of people, robbed a bank but didn't take the money and left with leaving everyone dead. He is also a cannibal.
Luz: Oh...and this guy is a member of Meta?
Kotoha: Hey those bastards take in any insane idiot these days.
Luz: True.
Lilith: But what do we know about his abilities?
Raymond: Well, to explain...
[Raymond is interrupted by A.X.E.L.]
A.X.E.L.: His Spirit Power is the Megalodon.
Eda: Megalodon?
West: A prehistoric beast. And possibly one of the largest species of Shark known to man.
Lilith: And his abilities?
A.X.E.L.: It's known as the Great Devourer. He can create traps all around the field with the dark energy he gathers in his hands. Once an opponent is caught, that person will begin to sink and drown, once deep enough his so-called Pet comes in and eats the carcass.
Kotoha: How do you know so much about his powers, Axe? Did you guys know each other or something?
[A.X.E.L. recalls the moments he had with Sharkface]
A.X.E.L.: Like myself, Sharkface was also an experimental weapon for Roundtable.
Luz: Weapon?!
[A.X.E.L. ignores Luz and continues to explain]
A.X.E.L.: Correct, Sharkface was given an animal type Spirit Power, and gained its genetics. And the reason why he looks like that is due to his Hybrid form.
Lilith: Hybrid form?
Kotoha: When it comes to Animal type Spirit Powers it allows you to gain the genetics from the beast you made a contract with. Like A.X.E.L. when he uses his animal forms.
Lilith: I see.
[West begins to formulate a plan]
West: Since we know who he is, our best plan of attack is to send a team to hunt him down.
[A.X.E.L. interrupts]
A.X.E.L.: Permission to speak freely West.
West: Granted.
A.X.E.L.: I may have planned a team for this hunt.
West: Who did you have in mind?
A.X.E.L.: May I request the Multi track students and I handle this situation?
Eda: Wait what?!
Kotoha: Hold up!
Raymond: Wait?
West: Hmm. What do you have in mind?
A.X.E.L.: I believe it would be best if Viney got some payback against him.
West: An interesting proposal.
Luz: Wait, wait, wait!
[Luz interrupts the conversation]
Luz: A.X.E.L. we're talking about fighting a member of Meta, and you know how tough those guys are! Like you guys said, you barely made it out when all of you fought One!
A.X.E.L.: Luz!
Luz: Hmm?
A.X.E.L.: Once Sharkface has a taste for anyone's blood, he won't stop until he finishes his meal. Viney had to go through her companion, almost being eaten alive. And if he keeps coming for her she won't have the strength to stand up to him.
[Luz is about to speak again but is interrupted]
A.X.E.L.: Which is why Viney needs to stand up and face her fear. Fear is something that holds a warrior back. And you know what it's like to have fear in your heart don't you?
[Luz recalls the day she lost Eda and was almost petrified, and then recalls her fight with the emperor.]
Luz: *relief* Okay, I get it. If you think Viney needs to do this. Then I can't stop you. But please keep an eye on her, okay, she's my friend, and if anything were to happen to her. I'd be devastated.
[A.X.E.L. agrees]
A.X.E.L.: I understand, and don't worry, she's in good hands.
[Viney, Jerbo and Barcus are waiting in the training room after being called by A.X.E.L.]
Jerbo: Do you guys have any idea why we were called here?
Barcus: Miss Coco dijo que A.X.E.L. nos llamó aquí.
(Miss Coco said that A.X.E.L. called us here.)
Jerbo: Does anyone know why A.X.E.L. called us here?
[Barcus shakes his head not knowing the reason]
Jerbo: Alright, I guess we'll just have to find out when he comes out. And who knows when that will be. What do you think, Viney? Viney?
[Viney sits down reliving the attack, not being able to fight back, and watching Puddles get hurt. It kept haunting her for rest of the day until Jerbo breaks her train of thought]
Jerbo: Viney!
[Viney is startled and finally hears Jerbo's voice]
Viney: Huh? Yeah what?
Jerbo: Are you okay? You haven't been speaking much since, you know.
Viney: Yeah, I'm...I'm fine. I'm okay.
[Deep down she wasn't]
[The door opens as A.X.E.L. walks out and calls for their attention]
A.X.E.L.: Alright Multi-track kids listen up! You are probably wondering why I called you in here today
[A.X.E.L. walks over to the trio with his hands behind his back]
A.X.E.L.: I've asked you to come here because each of you has been selected for a task that may be dangerous for children your age, but seeing how you've all been improving these past few days while training under Shatter Squad made me believe that you are capable of hunting down a familiar face.
[The trio is confused on what this task is but continue to listen]
A.X.E.L.: The target for this mission is this man.
[A.X.E.L. activates the holo screen to show a picture of Sharkface. Jerbo and Barcus are shocked about their target, while Viney gets recurring thoughts]
A.X.E.L.: His name is Sharkface. He is a skilled killer and professional predator. His Spirit Power is a beast type spirit known as Megalodon. So taking him down won't be easy.
[Jerbo interrupts him]
Jerbo: Hold on a minute?! We barely stood a chance against him the first time we fought him! And now you want us to go back and hunt this guy down?!
A.X.E.L.: I know it sounds crazy, but I believe that you three are our best options for his capture.
Barcus: ¿Por qué nosotras exactamente? (Why us exactly?)
[A.X.E.L. clears his throat]
A.X.E.L.: I heard about how the three of you managed to take down a Greater Basilisk, Barcus with his future sight potions, Jerbo with your Plant based abominations, and Viney with her beast keeping and healing skills. With talents like that, it is certain that under my guidance, you three will have what it takes. I understand if you don't wanna do this. But know that you three are our best shot.
[The three are uncertain but Jerbo and Barcus nod to each other]
Jerbo: Well you're crazy I'll give you that. But if we have the chance at payback! Then I don't see why not! Barcus and I are in!
[A.X.E.L. turns his gaze at Viney]
[Viney notices and is still unsure but knows if she is going to keep Puddles safe, she guesses that she has no choice in the matter]
Viney: Guess I have no choice do I?
[Viney walks over to her closest friends]
Viney: When are we setting out?
[A.X.E.L. grins]
A.X.E.L.: Knowing Sharkface, he'll probably be hunting for Puddles in his free time. I'd say we have about 9 days to prepare.
Jerbo: What are we going to prepare traps for this guy or something?
A.X.E.L.: No traps needed, in the wild, if you want to capture your prey, first you need to understand it, and when with it face to face. It's obviously going to put up a fight.
[For the first three days all three of them trained their bodies with exercise]
A.X.E.L.: Becoming an Apex Predator is one thing, but fighting like one is a whole other story. For some animals, the toughest animal is always the head of the pack and will always protect everyone within them. So in order to be on par with Sharkface, you gotta train those vessels of yours.
[Barcus and Viney continuously do their push-ups without breaking a sweat]
[Jerbo on the other hand is sweating buckets and falls down]
[Jerbo struggles with exercising and falling behind]
[On a jog on the third day, Jerbo trips and begins to pant]
A.X.E.L.: You good Jerbo?
Jerbo: To be honest, not so much.
A.X.E.L.: I can't have you fall behind. You need to train up that scrawny body if you're going to fight Sharkface.
[Jerbo turns to lie on his back]
Jerbo: I honestly don't think I can keep up. I'm not physically gifted.
[A.X.E.L. sits down next to him]
A.X.E.L.: Be honest with me, you had the chance to turn down the mission. But you ended up joining and refused to go any further. Why is that?
[Jerbo looks towards the sky]
Jerbo: Honestly after seeing Puddles get hurt, and seeing Viney in her traumatised state. I couldn't stand seeing her like that. So I thought it was the right thing to do. I mean she's been there for me ever since we met at Hexside. When I started out I tried mixing Abomination and Plant magic. Which led to me being in the Detention Track.
A.X.E.L.: What does this have to do with not being able to keep up?
Jerbo: In the Detention track I had nothing to do and it frustrates me so much! But Viney sought me out and took me to the secret room of shortcuts. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be learning the stuff I know. Of course it was in secret but at least I wasn't able to fall behind. And now that we're here, I feel like it's happening all over again. And this voice in my head is telling me to keep going, but I tell myself that I should stop when I need to.
[A.X.E.L. takes a deep breath]
A.X.E.L.: You know when I first started out in Shatter Squad, I felt like I always held the team back.
Jerbo: Really?
A.X.E.L.: Believe it or not I was strong, but very aggressive. So my actions always got in the way of our missions.
Jerbo: So what happened?
A.X.E.L.: I met my master who is now my mother. She taught me how to keep up with the others in my own way. And on my own terms. Sure I had to work on discipline. But if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be one of Shatter Squad's best Fighters.
[A.X.E.L. turns to Jerbo]
A.X.E.L.: So what I'm saying is, don't try to keep up with the others to the point that it makes you frustrated. Keep up in a way that you can put your skills to the test. And when it's really needed. Get aggressive.
Jerbo: I guess I can take that to heart.
A.X.E.L.: Luz told me how you guys helped her take down that Basilisk. And it paid off looking back on it now.
[A.X.E.L. picks himself up and reaches his hand for Jerbo]
Jerbo: So know your limits and go all out when you need to. I can get by that.
[Jerbo is about to grab A.X.E.L.'s hand until something pulses through his head.]
Two voices: So now you understand?!
[Jerbo begins to have a headache]
A.X.E.L.: Hey you okay?
Jerbo: I don't know!
[Jerbo continues to struggle with the head pain]
Voice 1: My actions lead me down a terrible path. I was once a well known scientist but now.
Voice 2: We've become the monster we were truly meant to be!
Voice 1: If you really think you can keep up with your friends, then use logic to plan out your strategy.
Voice 2: And go wild when it's necessary!
[Gel from Jerbo's body begins to spew.]
A.X.E.L.: JERBO?!
[Jerbo is consumed by the gel]
Two Voices: With our powers combined, you'll be sure to wreak havoc with the best outcomes! Now say our names and shatter the shell that keeps you inside!
[Jerbo eyes glow as they open up]
Jerbo: Come to me! SPIRIT POWER! Psychiatric duo! JEKYLL AND HYDE!
[The gel cocoon breaks into pieces with Jerbo standing up tall]
[And behind him is a beast like scientist, one half of his face human and the other half a monster]
A.X.E.L.: Spirit Power? Didn't expect that!
[A.X.E.L. walks over to Jerbo]
A.X.E.L.: Jerbo, are you okay?
[Jerbo opens his eyes revealing one eye normal, but the other one a red eyeball and yellow pupil.]
A.X.E.L.: WHOA!
Jerbo: What is it, something wrong with my face?
[Jerbo's voice immediately changes]
Hyde: yes is there something wrong with my face that looks so hideous that you would kill yourself, MWAHAHAHA!
[Jerbo slaps himself]
Jerbo: I have no idea why that came out!
A.X.E.L.: How do you feel though?
Jerbo: I feel fine. What about you other guy?
Hyde: OH I FEEL LIKE I CAN DO ANYTHING NOW!
Jerbo: I guess we are good.
Hyde: SO GOOD THAT WE CAN KEEP GOING WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE!
[Jerbo suddenly darts away catching up to Viney and Barcus]
Viney: Wait, was that?
Barcus: Jerbo?
[A.X.E.L. and the other attempt to catch up to him]
[In the next day they were discussing strategic methods on capturing Sharkface, Jerbo and Viney were able to come up with plans, but Barcus on the other hand was having a hard time, even with his Oracle magic]
A.X.E.L.: By any chance you run into this man, his powers will be unpredictable in the long run, he can lay his traps anywhere, if you guys have the agility to dodge each of these traps, you may stand a chance.
Jerbo: What do his traps look like?
A.X.E.L.: Sharkface's traps look like this,
[A.X.E.L. shows the ability on the holoscreen]
A.X.E.L.:Black orbs that can turn flat once it touches a surface. So for this training we'll be working on your stamina and agility. Also your ability to think. So let's begin!
[For the next hours, the trio use their reflexes to dodge flying circles that attempt to hit them, Viney is able to dodge them swimmingly, Jerbo is able to do the same thanks to his new found Spirit Power and partner Hyde. Barcus however finds it difficult.]
[Later that night Barcus sneaks into the training room to practice, and on his attempt he would always fail after dodging what seems like a dozen holo circles coming at him]
Barcus: *growls*
A.X.E.L.: Barcus?
[Barcus turns around and notices A.X.E.L. entering the room]
A.X.E.L.: Getting some training in? You realise you three still have a few days left.
[Barcus whimpers]
A.X.E.L.: Mind telling me what's going on? You seemed frustrated at training earlier?
[Barcus turns to A.X.E.L. feeling ashamed of himself, but since he knew how kind A.X.E.L. was. He decided to explain his situation.]
A.X.E.L.: Hmm so that's it. You feel like your Oracle Magic didn't help the three of you out back then. So you're trying to make things right and train your body.
[Barcus nods]
A.X.E.L.: But Barcus you know you don't have to do that right. You and your friends worked hard to get into the tracks you are in today. And if you think your Oracle magic won't help you. Then I call bullshit on that.
[Barcus is confused]
Barcus: The power of an Oracle is a very amazing skill. And if you train that power you'll be able to see far into the future. I mean you were able to predict your teacher's death with an Oracle potion.
[Barcus chuckles]
A.X.E.L.: You know what, make a potion right now.
[Barcus pauses for a minute]
A.X.E.L.: Make something that will give you the advantage on the field.
[A few minutes later Barcus creates another Oracle Potion and drinks it]
A.X.E.L.: You know what to do.
[Barcus goes into the training room and attempts the course, at first he wasn't able to focus on the Oracle potions powers, but A.X.E.L. calls out to him]
A.X.E.L.: Barcus! Focus! I know you can do it! You just gotta believe and think of what you're fighting for!
[Barcus then remembers meeting Viney and Jerbo. How they were always there for each other, and he remembers how he wasn't able to help. With that in mind he was able to focus on the potions powers. The Oracle potion helped him predict all the coming traps, and continued to dodge them swimmingly. But with all of them coming at once he focuses hard with his Oracle Powers! Until.]
Voice: You think that body will be enough to help you?
[Barcus begins to have a head pains, all of time stops in the middle]
Voice: It won't be enough to serve you well won't it?
[Barcus agrees]
Voice: Then you know what you have to do?
[Barcus eyes begin to glow]
Voice: As the servant to the Goddess of Death, I act as a guard and the symbol of Death incarnate. With my beastly form, I'll grant you the power to rampage across the field and bring death to your foes! I am the GREAT WOLF!
[Barcus begins to grow and change his physical appearance to something more wolf like, his body becomes bigger, claws emerge from his paws, his face begins to change as well]
[Barcus awakens and howls as he says the name]
Barcus: *HOWLS!**(SPIRIT POWER! GREAT WOLF FENRIR!)
[A.X.E.L. smiles at his student's new found power]
[Barcus with his Wolf Form is able to dodge everything around him, and causes a Howl so Loud that the holo circles shatter on impact]
[For the next day, the gang decides to take a break as Jerbo and Barcus show their friends their new found powers]
Luz: WHOA! BARCUS YOUR WOLF FORM IS AMAZING!
[Luz buries her face into Barcus's soft fur]
Luz: And so fluffy!
Edric: It really is!
[Edric does the same. As they do so Barcus is a bit embarrassed]
[Jerbo works with his plant and abomination magic to create a new weapon for his arsenal]
Jerbo: What do you guys think? With the sap from the slime plants and some ingredients from an abomination I'm able to create this!
[Jerbo creates a jelly like substance that is like gum]
Willow: Interesting, what does it do?
Jerbo: I'm able to use this to stick to any substance and make it bounce back at any foe.
Gus: Okay that's pretty cool, It's like those bungee things Luz and Raymond talk about.
[King is also interested]
King: I think you should call it Bungee Gel!
Willow: Bungee Gel?
King: I mean it's like that gel stuff you guys use, plus it bounces so I put the two and two together and thought of that.
Jerbo: Hmm I think I like that.
[Jerbo's voice changes]
Hyde: Ah yes, a name for a weapon that will cause mass destruction! It's perfect for us! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
[His voice changes again]
Jerbo: You think so too huh? Cool.
[The three are shocked with the sudden voice change, but choose to ignore it.]
[Eda watches the gang obsessing over the powers of their new teammates. She also can't help but notice how Viney is alone in a corner]
[Eda decides to walk over to her]
Eda: Hey Kid, you doing alright?
Viney: Huh? Oh hey Eda, I'm doing great I guess.
Eda: I can tell something is bothering you. It's more of an instinct really?
Viney: I guess you can say that. It's just ever since A.X.E.L. started training us I feel like I've been falling behind.
Eda: how so?
Viney: Jerbo and Barcus were able to unlock their powers already, I can't figure out why I wasn't able to unlock mine.
Eda: You know from what I heard, It's not an easy feat to do. When we all awaken our powers, we have a resolve on why we fight, similar to how we have to have goals when getting a palisman. Maybe you're holding something back. Something you're not telling anyone?
[Emira decides to listen in on their conversation]
Viney: I...
[Viney decides to lie]
Viney: ...can't think of anything that comes to mind.
[Eda knew she was lying, but also knew that she can't force it]
Eda: Alright, if you say so. I think you kids should get ready for school. It's almost time for class.
Viney: Got it, Thanks Eda.
[Later that night, Viney enters the combat room on her own, attempting to force her Spirit Power out. As she trains her own body in all the courses, nothing works, which begins to feel frustrated]
Viney: Dammit! Why won't anything work?!
[The door opens]
Viney: Oh Pops I didn't mean to..
[Viney notices that it was none other than Emira Blight who entered the room]
Emira: Hey.
Viney: Oh it's you. Uh what are you doing here?
Emira: I guess we had the same thought on being here? Hehe?
[Emira lied, she actually knew that Viney was going to train by herself tonight and she thought she would keep her company.]
Emira: I mean sometimes I come here on my own to train.
[that she wasn't lying about]
Viney: Really? Emira Blight, one of the biggest troublemakers in school deciding to actually train?
Emira: Yeah yeah don't believe me.
[Emira decides to prep her gear]
Emira: I overheard your conversation with Eda. Are you sure everything is okay?
[Viney attempts to avoid the question]
Viney: Everything is fine, I just thought I would try unlocking my powers. The big day is tomorrow after all.
Emira: I see.
[There is an awkward silence between to the two for a few minutes until Emira starts to speak up]
Emira: You know, there is a reason why I work so hard nowadays.
Viney: And that reason is?
[Emira takes a deep breath]
Emira: Ever since I saw Amity with that black substance, I had my suspicions, then after learning what was really going on, those suspicions turned into worries. Then those worries turned into anxiety.
[Viney is amazed and shocked that Emira is actually opening up to her]
Emira: I thought that if Amity continues to keep this up, she'll end up getting killed. Then I thought the same about Edric ever since we gained our abilities.
[Emira grasps her hands together and continues to her story]
Emira: As the oldest among the three it's my job to keep them safe. Just seeing them struggle so much with this new found home aggravates me. But after meeting Pops and everyone in Shatter Squad. I feel like I have new people I want to protect. And a family that I know would do the same.
[Emira places her hands on Viney's shoulders]
Emira: And as a big sister to some of them, I wanted to be there for you too. So if something is bothering you and you want to talk about it. Then I'm here for you. And I'm pretty sure A.X.E.L. thinks the same way.
[Viney looks down]
A.X.E.L.: She's right, you know.
[Emira and Viney find A.X.E.L. at the entrance]
Viney: A.X.E.L.?! What are you doing here?
[A.X.E.L. chuckles]
A.X.E.L.: You know I live here right?
Viney: Hehe, yeah of course I knew that.
A.X.E.L.: Overall, Emira is right. If something is holding you back, then it's better to open up to your friends. Back when I was in Roundtable I never had anyone to open up to. For the fact I was an experiment.
[Viney and Emira are shocked]
Viney: What do you mean?
A.X.E.L.: I'm not actually human, I was a science experiment back at Roundtable, I never had anyone to talk to, no one to care for me, just endless rounds of being put through hell.
Viney: Oh.
A.X.E.L.: Then one day I met someone who I called my mother, Bonnie. Agent Agravain.
[They all decide to have a midnight snack and move to the kitchen. A.X.E.L. continues to tell his story while preparing a meal]
A.X.E.L.: Agravain taught me everything. She taught me how to cook, to clean, to speak at times. Heck she'll take any lost child in as her own.
Emira: Like Pops?
A.X.E.L.: Funny story, Agravain was his mother.
Emira: Did she also have one of those fragments with her?
A.X.E.L.: Thankfully she didn't and thankfully she's one of the agents that are still alive. She's always been the leader of the Knights of Chorus.
Viney: So what's your point?
[A.X.E.L. continues to fry the jumbo shrimp]
A.X.E.L.: My point is, you need to stop pushing people away and start letting them in. Because if you don't then you'll only struggle to keep pushing forward.
[A.X.E.L. finished preparing the meal, serves Fried shrimp with fried rice]
A.X.E.L.: So tell Viney, what is holding you back?
[Before Viney digs into the meal, tears well up in her eyes as she remembers what happened to Puddles and her friends]
Viney: Ever since we got attacked! I've been worrying about Puddles! I'm not even allowed to see her! And now that Puddles is at risk of being hunted down! I can't stand the thought of losing her! Even after we were beaten I can't lose the people that have been there for me all those years!
[The tears begin to fall]
Viney: I don't think I'll be able to live with myself if I'm the only one that didn't die on this mission! And I'd be damned if I die before my friends as well.
A.X.E.L.: So you want to save them. But you don't think you can, you're strong enough to do it on your own.
[Viney continues to look down but nods]
[Emira pats her back and A.X.E.L. removes his apron]
A.X.E.L.: You know Viney, there is a saying on earth, the strength of the wolf is the pack, but the strength of the pack is the wolf. Do you know what that means?
[Viney shakes her head]
A.X.E.L.: It basically says that individuals gain just as much from the group as the group gains from the individuals: the group as a whole can make the individual stronger or weaker.
[A.X.E.L. kneel in front of Viney and places his hand on her shoulder]
A.X.E.L.: Do you wanna make your group stronger, or do you wanna hold them back?
[Viney looks up and knows what she wants to do]
Viney: I want to make them stronger? I want us to be strong?
A.X.E.L.: You can doubt yourself and be in fear all you want. But know that conquering this fear can make you stronger for you and your friends. You just need to resolve to do so.
[Viney remembers her group sticking together all those years, and the one day Luz came into their lives and gave them the chance to do what they loved, and now with this danger up ahead, she says]
Viney: I really want to be the one that can lead the team to victory.
A.X.E.L.: then do it! We all believe you can do that.
Emira: So do I.
[Viney tears continue to fall, but the latest one that fell from her eye glows into a light as soon as it lands]
[Viney's Aura begins to appear and she is completely consumed in light]
Emira: Is this?!
A.X.E.L.: Heheh! Here we go!
