Chapter 50: Luz's Awakening
[Luz and One stand face to face, both waiting for the other to make a move, with their weapons in hand, Luz yells and makes the first move, she places fire glyphs in her hand and launches them with her staff.]
Luz: FIRE!
[One uses swings his chain sword and slices all that come in his way]
One: You're making the first move? Very well!
[One rushes towards her, Luz creates an ice wall and generates steam by hitting it with Fire glyphs]
[One stops and becomes wary of his surroundings]
One: A game of "hide and seek" is a suitable choice.
[Luz hides in the steam, cloaking herself to make sure One doesn't notice her]
One: Where are you?
[Luz stops and creates a Light blade with her staff]
Luz: RAGH!
[One smirks and aims at Luz's head]
[Luz ducks backward after One's fires his Shotgun]
[One raises his arm and tries to stab her from the back]
Luz: CRAP!
[Luz grabs her staff and flies away]
[She flies as far as possible while evading One's Shot Gun Bullets, One reloads, and Luz uses it as an opportunity to strike]
Luz: LIGHTNING GLYPH!
[Luz fires a bolt of lightning from her hand]
[One deflects with his chain sword and runs towards Luz]
[Luz feels fear but doesn't let up as she prepares another Lightning glyph]
Luz: CLOSER!
[One jumps forward with his sword in front of him]
Luz: NOW!
[Luz launches Lightning at One's forehead and throws him off course]
Luz: GOT'EM!
[Luz gently lands on her two feet, One lands while kneeling]
[He rubs the lightning ash off his head]
One: Hmm.
[Luz smiles and places two plants glyphs on the floor and wraps One's arms to the ground]
One: Oh?
[One notices the Fire glyphs surrounding him]
[Luz smashes the bottom tip of her staff on the ground and triggers an explosion]
Luz: Keep up the pressure!
[One remains in One piece. He stands back up and cracks his neck]
One: Now it's my turn.
[One releases all his aura and begins to put Luz on defense]
[He swings his blade dozens of times with Luz, either Evading, getting cut or parrying with her lightsaber]
[One stops and points his shotgun at her chest, Luz defends herself with a giant Ice Wall between them]
[The bullets don't make it through, but One puts his gun back and releases a robust straight punch that both breaks the wall and Forces Luz backward]
[One saunters towards her]
One: Luz, Luz, Luz, I thought you'd be stronger than this; you had Epsilon with you the whole time, so why not use it to fight me?
[Luz attempts to pull herself back up with her staff]
One: That Diamond power that wreaks inside is to return with all your memories etched into it and all. But why not try them out here? Are you scared that you will recall all the memories of you and Alpha? Or could it be something you don't want yourself to see? Come on, Luz, show me your actual ability, swallow your pride and beat me at my best! Stand up and fight!
[One takes one more step]
Luz: I just needed you right there!
[Luz uses a flame glyph but with a twist]
Luz: Fear Flame!
[Luz throws Pyro's move at One's Face]
One: GAH!
[Luz activates Gamma's power]
Luz: Stay still for five minutes!
[One freezes himself while Luz activates both Rage and Courage charge]
Luz: Let's see how long you can keep up!
[Luz releases a rush of attacks, Light blades, fireball, Icicle, Vine whips and Lightning bolts with each passing second]
Luz: Iota!
[Luz stops times and continues to do the same thing and unfreezes time]
[One regains consciousness and feels all the pain given to him during the time stop]
One: GAGH!
[Luz uses Theta's ability and creates a Lava Dome while One charges at her]
Luz: SWAP!
[Luz swaps her place with One and attacks him from behind with a Lightblade]
Luz: ETA!
[Luz activates crazy excite and smash her staff down]
[Meanwhile, Amity still attempts to use the key that the "Queen of Hearts" gave her]
Amity: Come on, why won't this work?!
[After two more tries, she notices that some light is coming out of her body]
Amity: Huh? What is this?
[Amity tries to figure out where that light is going.]
Amity: What's going on?
[Yama responds]
Yama: It looks like your Beta Power is being returned to its source.
Amity: What do you mean?
Yama: Remember how you got the Beta Fragment in the first place? That power was only temporary, so now that the source has awakened itself, it's calling back all its fragments from enemy and ally.
[Amity begins to get worried]
Amity: WAIT, WHAT?! WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME THEN?!
[Yama calms her down]
Yama: Relax, kiddo, nothing terrible will happen to you; you'll still be alive; your fragment is just leaving. And I'm guessing whoever activated it, must be fighting One right now.
[Amity sighs and continues to use the key given to her]
Yama: Amity, that key won't work. Why do you keep trying?
[Amity sighs]
Amity: Because whoever left me this key said it would work at the right time, I need to keep trusting this person.
[Yama rubs his head]
Yama: Do you seriously trust the words of some person who wrote a letter to you?
Amity: Do you have any better ideas? It's not like I can use my powers with these cuffs.
[Yama groans]
Yama: It's not like I can barge into the world of the living unannounced. Besides, you could pick the lock and-
[The Cuffs unlock themselves]
Amity: Hey, it worked!
Yama: Wait, what?!
Amity: I don't know how but I guess I did wait for the right time! So suck on that!
[Yama groans]
Amity: Let's go! We need to get out of here!
[A sudden burst of energy is felt by both Amity and Yama, almost like a sign of warning]
Amity: Luz is in trouble!
Yama: Yeah! Let's find out where she is.
[Amity then looks at the energy flowing from her hand and follows it]
Yama: Why are you going up the steps?!
Amity: I have a hunch!
[Yama prepares for battle]
Yama: Well, I hope you know what you're doing!
[Amity makes her way up the steps to the top floor]
[Luz continues her beatdown on One, he fires multiple rounds of Shotgun bullets, Luz dodges all of them with Delta's logic]
Luz: Come on!
[Luz creates an Ice gauntlet and uppercuts One in the stomach]
[Luz tries to catch her breath, using all the power at once took a toll on her body]
One: I'm guessing using all that power makes you feel weak after a short while, does it?
[Luz struggles to keep moving]
One: We've reached this point in our battle; why don't I make things more exciting!
[One snaps his fingers and the armor pieces they have collected in the Isles begin to fuse into one unit.]
One: I assume you've heard of the Zodiac Armor from Arthur.
[Luz is shocked by the evil energy the hollow armor alone gives off]
Luz: CRAP! This isn't good!
One: Now it's time for us to go all out! LUZ!
[The armor is placed on Arthur's body, along with the Heart of Rey placed in the center]
[The Aura can be felt across the God Realm, from the sky to the world's crust, the team on all the floors feel the power pushing them down]
A.X.E.L.: I think One managed to activate the armor!
[Kotoha notices that A.X.E.L.'s aura floats to the top]
Kotoha: A.X.E.L., what's wrong with your Aura?
A.X.E.L.: I'm not sure.
[Arthur finally arrives near the ground team]
Arthur: Guys, what did I miss?!
[Kotoha and the others are relieved that Arthur arrived but also noticed the same thing is happening to him]
Kotoha: It's happening to you too!
[He sees that his aura is leaving his body]
Arthur: I Guess Luz activated the Epsilon fragment. I have to get up there!
[Then Boscha, Edric, Emira, and Lilith exit the tower]
Edric: What's going on?
Emira: Is Amity okay?!
West: We don't know; we're just as curious as you are.
[Skara and Raymond notice Boscha on Coco's back]
Skara: Holy crap! Is that Boscha?!
[Coco places her gently on the ground, and Skara runs to her side]
Skara: Is she okay?
Coco: She's still getting used to her new abilities.
Arthur: Pops!
[West turns to Arthur]
Arthur: Do you think you can get me up there?!
West: I can throw you just enough to reach the edge!
[West nods to his son, Arthur readies himself]
Arthur: Then let's go!
[West grabs Arthur by his hoodie]
West: THEN GET UP THERE!
[Arthur begins to regret his decision and is immediately flung to the top of the tower]
[Ronin and Otur meet up with Warlord and Viper]
Viper: O-M-GOSH! It's so good to see you all after all this time!
[Viper gives kisses to all of them]
[ronin pats her friend's head]
Ronin: Yes, it's good to see you too, Alice.
[Otur taps on Ronin's shoulder, Ronin looks at him as he points to the aura flowing out of their bodies]
Warlord: I'm guessing Luz activated the Epsilon fragment just as planned.
[Ronin raises her arm and prepares to snap her fingers]
Ronin: Then I better deal with this. Can you handle yourselves while I'm gone?
[Viper laughs]
Viper: Don't worry about us! Get out of here already, girl! Right now, you need to go and save the world!
[Ronin sighs and takes off her helmet]
Ronin: I'll be off then]
[ronin snaps her fingers and teleports to the top of the tower]
[Luz finally gets up after a few minutes of One's transformation]
Luz: Alright, you dealt with Belos, who says you can't deal with a world-ending Chaos-God. This is going to be crazy. But I can't expect any outside help at this poi-
[She hears the door break down as Amity enters the fray]
Amity: Made it!
[Luz stares at Amity as she is relieved]
Luz: AMITY!
[Amity smiles, knowing Luz is still alive]
Amity: Luz!
[Amity almost hugs her. Then they both hear screaming from the top of the outside]
Amity: What the?!
[She then sees Arthur flying in the sky]
Luz: Wait, is that...
[She recognizes him]
Luz: Arthur?!
Amity: (Dammit, he ruined the moment!)
[Next to them is Ronin, who magically appeared, sitting on top of a rock]
Amity: Ronin!
Ronin: Relax, Blight, I'm not here to fight any of you!
[Luz is confused]
Luz: Wait, who is this?!
[Ronin snaps her fingers and manages to get Arthur near their position, but lands on his face]
Arthur: OW! You could have stuck the landing!
[Luz then smiles]
Luz: ARTHUR!
Arthur: Luz! You're okay!
[Luz hugs Arthur, as he also hugs back]
Luz: I was wondering when you would get here!
Ronin: Great, the gang's all here! Now let's focus and look alive!
[Luz is still curious about the new person that just arrived but senses that she is very powerful judging by her aura, which now fills her with fiery determination!]
[An explosion is heard from One's side of the tower]
One: OH! MORE CHALLENGERS ARRIVE! THINGS KEEP GETTING BETTER! AGENT ARTHUR, AMITY BLIGHT, AGENT PERCIVAL, AND LASTLY, THE GIRL WHO BRINGS THEM TOGETHER! LUZ NOCEDA! NOW, THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT FIRST CHALLENGE TO TEST MY NEW POWERS!
[One enters the room in his new armor]
One: Now tell me! Who wants to go first?!
[All heroes activate their Spirit Power]
Arthur: King Arthur! Crimson Dragon!
[Arthur unsheaths Excalibur and summons his dragon to his side]
Amity: YAMA!
[Amity creates six Arms, abomination wings and three scythes]
[Ronin changes into her Celestial form]
Luz: AZURA!
[Luz summons her staff once more and prepares all her glyphs]
Luz: Alright, guys! It's time to end this once and for all!
[All four ready themselves for battle]
Luz: GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU GOT!
[END]
