Chapter 51: "All for One and One for All"
[All four heroes stand together, keeping a close eye on their adversary.]
Luz: LET'S FINISH THIS!
[Luz makes the first move and runs forward]
Ronin: "HOLD ON A SEC!"
[Luz disregards her and attacks with all of her fire glyphs]
Ronin: GOD DAMMIT!
[Arthur and Amity follow her].
Ronin: Where are you two going?
Arthur: Hey, if she's fighting already, who says we can't?!
[While Amity flies, Arthur rides his dragon.]
[All three are moving at the speed of light, and Ronin is palming his hands]
Ronin: We should've come up with a plan first, you idiots!
[Ronin snaps her fingers and teleports]
[The eyes below one's helmet keep track of their movements, darting from side to side trying to figure out who will attack first].
One: "Screw this! Time to get moving!
One follows them and strikes them one at a time.
[With light speed, it's hard to keep track of who's fighting who].
Luz: Glyph of Light!
Luz forms a light blade and challenges One to a sword showdown. Both Luz and One go for the armor, not being able to land a scratch.
Luz: What?!
[One raises his arm and fires triple laser slashes].
[Luz flies away to avoid all three; Amity comes to her rescue and blocks with her scythes].
Luz: AMITY!
[Luz lunges forward and plants a plant glyph on One's armor, trapping him in vines]
One: HMM?
[The vines begin to crush him, but one rips them apart and breaks out]
One: Like that will do you any good!
[He then hears a yell from the back and turns around to see Amity fighting him next].
Amity: "NECRO ABOMINATIONS! SIC 'EM!
[mutated black abominations all appear out of the ground and chomp and pile on one. Amity fills her scythe with Black Fire magic, then launches the flames at the pile]
[It explodes and vaporizes anything within the pile. One is still left unhurt and stands back up. Amity grits her teeth and throws thousands of slashes at the villain.]
[Amity draws a spell circle and breathes fire out of her mouth.]
[One grabs her by the mouth and throws her to the left. She rams into Luz and both fall off her staff.]
Amity: Luz!
Amity creates her abomination wings and carries Luz to the ground.
Amity: Are you okay?
[Luz shakes off the pain]
Luz: Yeah, I'm fine! Don't worry about it!
[One slowly paces towards them and brings out the sword latched to his back].
One: Do you two really think you can stop me alone?
[Arthur then jumps forward and cuts one from the back].
Arthur: That's what big brother is here for!
[Arthur gives a command to the dragon]
Ram him into the wall, Arthur!
[Dragon does as it is told; he continues body slamming him and using his fire breath].
One: Horrible bastard!
[One punches it in the stomach and makes it disappear.]
Arthur: Surprise!
[Arthur throws his sword; one parries it as it ricochets back into Arthur's hand]
This is the best I can do, Arthur!
One's arm then mutates into a Demonic shotgun and fires two rounds, while Dragon's tail grips the ground and pulls Arthur down to avoid being hit.
[Arthur hands Excalibur to Dragon, who inspects him]
Arthur: Excellent work, Dragon!
[The Dragon gives him a smirk]
[One is angered, thus generating a wave of destructive energy in the palm of his hand.]
Arthur: Oh, crap!
[Ronin snaps her fingers and swaps places with Arthur]
[One throws his attack downward; he thinks he killed Arthur until he notices that the attack has been blocked and absorbed.]
One: PERCIVAL! You survived!
[Ronin's neck cracks]
Ronin: Of course not!
[Ronin pivots the tip of her sword onto One's chest]
But after this fight, you will not!
[Ronin snaps her fingers, triggering explosions within One's inner body]
[Smoke and blood drop from one's mouth]
[Ronin builds enough energy to fill her sword, she swings it and throws him out of the tower].
[One flies far into the distance, buying them enough time to do what needs to be done.]
Ronin: Okay, you three, pay attention!I didn't get the chance to explain this before, but now I will.
[Amity raises an eyebrow]
Amity: Explain what exactly?
[Ronin sighs]
What you and your girlfriend did was completely arrogant. Right now I sent one flying to that mountain, which will give us about ten minutes to come up with a plan before he comes back!
[Amity blushes]
Amity: WHAT?! She is not my girlfriend!
[Luz chuckles]
Luz: It's true, Amity and I are just good friends.
[Amity hears the word "friend" and immediately gets bummed out.
Ronin: That's what you're focusing on?!
[Arthur places his hand on Luz's shoulder]
Arthur: Let's argue later. What's the plan to take him down exactly?
[Ronin then recalls One's ability]
Ronin: From what I recall, One's power is being charged by the Heart of Rey. It absorbs the magic of many witches, and his power will continue to grow.
Luz: But the armor can't crack. We've tried damaging him from the outside. The only effective method was with your power.
Amity: So he's only vulnerable on the inside.
[Ronin groans]
Ronin: That's not the point I'm trying to make!
Luz: Then what are you trying to say?
[Ronin sighs]
One's power can seem limitless, but with the Sigma fragment and all the stolen magic within the heart, there will be a chance that he'll eventually lose control.
[Arthur rubs his chin.]
Arthur: So you're proposing that we keep him distracted till we can break his limit?
[Ronin nods]
Ronin: But not all of us. Amity, Arthur, and myself included, will keep him busy long enough till the point where he can't control himself. That's where you come in.
[She points to Luz, leaving her shocked]
Luz: Me?!
Ronin: With the Epsilon's awakened ability, you and Alpha have to take back the Sigma fragment by force. But in order to do that, you need an opening.
[Ronin activates her power].
Ronin: Amity and Arthur will keep him busy, so I can use my ability to trap his body from the neck down in stone.
Arthur: How much time do we need?
[Ronin sees one flying towards them].
Ronin: Judging by the vast amount of power he's expelling at once. I estimate five to seven minutes.
Arthur: Then that's all we need.
Luz: What will I do in the meantime?
Ronin: Stay here and keep an eye on things!We can't risk you getting injured.
Luz: But I can assist!
[Arthur stops at Luz]
Arthur: Luz, you will help, but we need you fully rested. Can we count on you?
[Luz frowns but nods].
Arthur: Alright then! Let's get going!
[Arthur summons a dragon and flies towards One; Ronin is about to follow until Amity pulls her away.]
Ronin: What do you want?
Amity: You can listen here. I don't know what you're planning, but if you even think about laying a single finger on her once this is finished, I'll hunt you down to the ends of the Isles. Do you understand me?
[Ronin closes her eyes and walks towards the edge].
Ronin: No promises.
[Ronin snaps her fingers and teleports]
[Amity is angered, but is stopped by Luz]
Luz: Amity, how do you know her?
[Amity is scared to answer].
Amity: I just, well, I '
[Luz knows that she isn't ready to talk, but smiles]
Luz: If you're not ready to talk about it, then I'll wait till this is all over.
[Luz holds Amity's hand]
Luz: Right now, you need to go. I'll be right behind you.
[Amity smiles and then flies after them].
Luz: Be careful, you three.
[Luz then, here's the voice of Alpha in her head]
Alpha: I know that look.
[Luz turns to see the white light in front of her]
You don't want to stay on the sidelines and help them out, don't you?
[Luz chooses to ignore her.]
So what if I do, you heard, oh God I forgot her you heard her, I'm needed for the end of the plan.
[Luz is bummed]
Luz: At least I get to help somehow.
Yet you still feel useless after all this time.
Luz looks back
Luz: What do you mean?
Alpha: I've been in your head. I've known the anger you felt after not being able to save Amity from One, doing nothing after she almost killed Raymond and Kotoha, being unable to save Eda from her curse, especially the thoughts of leaving your mother behind after you gave the portal to Belos.
[Luz continues to ignore her and watches the battle.]
[Amity and Arthur approach each other]
Arthur: Amity, remember, we have five to seven minutes, so make every second count!
Amity: No need to tell me twice! This is probably one of the only times I'll cooperate with you.
Arthur: You still don't trust me?!
Never have and will never have!
[Arthur and Amity's groans]
Amity: Let's just get this over with!
[The first one goes to Arthur]
One: I'VE GOT YOU IN MY SIGHTS, CHILD! NOW PERISH OR FACE MY WRATH!
[Ronin suddenly appears in front of him and pivots his chest four times.]
One: WHAT?!
[Ronin snaps her fingers and teleports behind her to do the same action].
Ronin: BYE!
[Ronin teleports away and triggers a few explosions in his innards].
One: GAH!
[Arthur and Amity simultaneously attack their enemies one after the other]
[One gets pissed off and decides to throw his sword at them, but they both evade it as it flies away].
[Amity looks behind her].
Arthur: What the heck is that supposed to do?
[The sword begins to get covered in aura and spins backwards, hurtling towards them]
Amity: Oh shit!
[Amity pushes Arthur out of the way and blocks the fast spinning sword with two of her scythes]
One: If you didn't know this, my sword has a mind of its own! Have fun with both of us!
One strikes Amity in the back, Arthur yells and defends her, one teleports away, leaving Arthur perplexed, and one comes from below and uppercuts him in the chin.
One: HAHAHA!
[One and the blade scatter across the field, forcing them to defend and evade or block]
Arthur: Dammit! What do we do?
[Amity tries to search for a way out].
Amity: Nothing comes to mind! Where the hell is Ronin?!
Both of them notice the giant shadow hovering over them, then they see the giant rocks flying towards the three.
Amity: Oh my Titan! Run!
[Ronin appears in front of all of them and snaps her finger]
Choke on this, you tricky bastard!
[One throws the giant stones. One is unfazed by the projectiles and smirks under his helmet].
One: Oh, please, as if that is going to work on me!
[One raises his arm and summons a rock the size of an asteroid].
Ronin: WHAT?!
One: You want me to choke on your rocks? Well, try to choke on an asteroid!
[One launches it at the stone pillars; as it slowly moves towards everyone on the ground, Luz is left conflicted.]
Luz: They're in trouble! I have to help!
[She remembers Ronin's words]
Ronin: We can't risk you getting injured, so stay put!
Luz knows she has to help but is too scared to move. She doesn't know what will happen or how to stop, but those thoughts leave her head as soon as she hears the voice coming from the entrance to the top.
Eda: LUZ! Thank Titan, we made it on time!
[Eda and the King hug Luz]
King: Are you okay? What happened?!
[Willow, Gus, and Lilith stare at the sky].
Willow exclaims, "Holy Titan!"
Gus: What the heck is that?
Eda: What's that?
[King and Eda look up at the sky and notice the massive rock falling to the ground.]
King: WEH!
Eda: What's he even doing?!
[She then hears a voice from behind her]
Viper: It's his last resort.
[Everyone turns around and notices Warlord and Viper]
Willow: It's you!
Gus: What about Alice?
[Viper gives them a wave]
Viper: Hello, bestie!How are things going for you?!
[Luz interrupts them]
Luz: Wait, what do you mean "last resort?"
[Warlord sighs]
From what we know, this certain Zodiac armor and the man called One have a specific power known as the War Asteroid. It's what he uses to eliminate an army in one attack.
Luz: Leaving Amity and Arthur to take that thing head-on.
[Eda is shocked to hear Luz's words].
Eda: You mean Boots and Arthur are up there. Why aren't you with them?!
Luz clenches her fist.
Luz: I don't know who she was, but she told me to stay here and keep myself away from the fight.
King: Because?
She said that I had to save my strength so I could absorb the final fragment inside one, but now that this is happening, I know I have to help, but I can't move my legs!
Eda looks at Luz
Eda: Seriously, you're actually taking orders from somebody you just met! I thought you were all about getting reckless!
Luz: Eda?!
Eda: Luz, from the day we met till now, you've always done things on your own accord. Sure, you almost got killed on multiple occasions, but you always found a way to push through without getting a scratch on you. And never once have I seen you follow anyone's orders.
[Luz looked ahead]
Eda: So are you going to stay here and be a lapdog? Or are you going to get a little reckless?
[Luz smiles]
Luz: I would if I could, but I don't know how I could help.
[Alpha reappears]
ALpha: I think I can be of assistance.
[Luz sees Alpha while nobody else can.]
Luz: How can you help?
King: Who's she talking to?
Warlord: The Alpha must be communicating with her.
[King recalls West's mention of Alpha]
Lilith: So do we just watch or
Warlord: Just wait and see what happens.
Luz and Alpha continue their conversation.
If it's a power up you need, then I'll be able to provide assistance. This ability can only be used as a last resort and might be able to take out both the one and the asteroid.
Luz: What's this ability?
It's called the Aura Burst, and once activated, it will release every ounce of energy lying in your body. You'll be able to use all the attacks you've learned in the mind share, and become unstoppable for about five minutes.
[Luz smiles but then realizes something].
Luz: There's a catch to this, isn't there? There's always something bad about powers like this.
Alpha: You got me.
[Alpha sighs]
Once the aura burst time limit is up, your body will be depleted of energy, you won't be able to use your glyphs, you won't be able to activate your spirit power, and since it's your first time, there is a chance you'll lose an arm or leg.
[Luz thinks about the risks of performing this]
Luz: But it will save everyone, right?
If used correctly, then yes.
[Luz takes a deep breath and opens her eyes with conviction]
Luz: Then let's do it!
Alpha: Are you sure?
Luz: If it means saving the multiverse, then what have I got to lose?
[Alpha smiles]
Alpha: Very well, then. Aura Burst is now active!
[Luz powers down, then feels a pain in her chest].
Luz: What the hell?!
[She looks into her jacket and notices a white diamond popping itself out of her torso].
Luz: Okay, that's weird.
[Luz suddenly feels a massive amount of spiritual energy entering her body].
Eda: WHOA! Now that's new!
[Eda notices Luz's white hair]
[Luz looks towards One and notices him squaring off against the trio].
[Luz Superman jumps off the top and flies towards them]
GO GET EM LUZ, KING!
[Eda begins to become worried]
[One punches Arthur in the face and Amity in the stomach; both fall to the ground].
One: Now it's just you and me, Percival!
[Ronin's knuckles crack]
Ronin: Please, you can finish me off! (I still have three minutes till he hits his limit!) [Must make it count!]
[All of a sudden, a huge wave of energy can be sensed from behind Ronin. She looks back and sees Luz in her Aura Burst form].
Ronin: WHAT?!
[Luz grabs Amity and Arthur and hands them over to Ronin]
Ronin: Luz, you moron!What are you doing?
[Luz summons her staff]
Luz: I'm getting a little reckless now!
Ronin: That's not the point!
Luz: Look, I don't know who you are and how you know me, but right now I need you to protect them and stay back! I can handle this!
[Ronin groans]
Ronin: Doesn't anyone stick to the plan from the Isles?
[Ronin teleports all three of them to the top of the tower].
[Amity wakes up and sees Luz fighting in her new form].
Amity: Is that Luz?!
Arthur: She activated the aura burst!
A and E: Wait, what?!
Arthur: You're both in for a wild ride when you hear this!
[The others on the ground look up to see Luz and One].
Kotoha: No way! Is that Luz?!
Viney: Dang, I knew she was cool, but not this cool!
[Boscha wakes up and notices them as well]
Boscha: That's a human?!
Skara: Boscha, you're awake!
[Skara hugs her friend].
Jerbo: Oh, we're in for a world-ending fight! Go get 'em Luz!
[West looks up and observes the outcome].
[Luz and One are finally getting ready]
One: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! THIS! THIS! This is what I've been waiting for! I CAN FINALLY FEEL THE FULL IMPACT OF YOUR FORCE! To think you had it in you all along! What a great opponent to put my armor up against!
[Luz spins her whip]
Luz: Have as much fun as you want!But this ends here!
One: "Big talk coming from a child! Let's see if I can make you eat those words!
[Luz and One drop their weapons and charge ahead]
Alpha: Five minutes. Luz! Make it count!
[Luz and One clash; not only do they clash, but the force of their auras creates a huge wave of energy between the two, strong enough to split the clouds.]
[Raymond looks up in awe from below]
Raymond: This has to be the most anime thing I've ever seen!
A.X.E.L.: She's even powerful enough to create a Conqueror's Clash with that monster! This will be a good climax, that's for sure!
[Luz and One continue to push each other to the limit in the Conqueror's clash]
(All right, Luz!) Time to make it count!)
