New chapter finally here~
Things have been a bit busier for me during life, but I have some chapters in the back so I'm prepared for next update like today. Like I mentioned when I released the Halloween Special, I will try to upload at least every weekend so if I'm not uploading in the weekends, I'm just too busy planning my future path ahead or writing new chapters for this story. Although with that said, thank you for continuing to read "Magic, Love and Quints" and I hope this one would be a good chapter to read!

Last time, Fuutarou, Raiha and Itsuki went to the mall so Fuutarou could get himself a kimono for the fireworks festival. Raiha also got to meet the rest of the quintuplets along the way!
It's now Sunday, meaning it's the fireworks festival! Let's hope Fuutarou is ready for what that awaits him.
With that said, on to the story!

"Are you almost ready onii-chan?" Raiha asked Fuutarou.
Fuutarou was changing to his newly bought kimono, which took longer than expected, much to his amusement. He was fixing his golden hair, making it more clean and adjusted his kimono a little before finally getting out of the bathroom and getting to where Raiha stood, near the entrance.
"You took a long time than usual, onii-chan! Are you perhaps trying to impress Itsuki-san and her sisters~?" Raiha teased him, unintentionally making the young man blush upon hearing Itsuki's name.
"No, nothing like that… I wanted to make sure that I look more stylish than usual," Fuutarou told Raiha.
"This new kimono is really fashionable, so I want to make sure I was a bit more fashionable for this festival," Fuutarou explained further.
Raiha simply nodded, getting excited to exit their home and going to the festival. Of course, Fuutarou kept good eye on her while getting to their destination.
"It's really a beautiful evening, don't you agree onii-chan?" Raiha exclaimed, getting a nod from her brother while they were enjoying their evening walk to the festival.
Then suddenly, the witch appeared on his right shoulder, which caused Fuutarou to notice Kanna as she sat down on his shoulder.
"I agree with your sister, Fuu-chan! It sure is a beautiful night!" Kanna commented while lying down in a lazy pose.
"H-hey! Raiha could see you!" Fuutarou whispered to her.
"Hey, I told you that only you can see me, smartie pants~" Kanna reassured him with a sly smile.
Fuutarou sighed, wondering why Kanna would appear so suddenly when they were on their way to the festival.
"Why are you here anyway?" Fuutarou whispered to her once more, making sure Raiha doesn't hear anything so she wouldn't think he was talking to himself.
"Just making sure that my subject is doing well!" Kanna replied.
She started yawning while looking at the road ahead while continuing to talk.
"The fireworks festival, huh? Seems like a perfect moment to kiss one of the Nakano quintuplets, don't you agree, Fuu-chan~?" Kanna said with a small tease. It made Fuutarou blush heavily, but luckily Raiha was too excited to notice while she and Fuutarou were walking.
"W-what?" Fuutarou whispered in a shocking tone.
Kanna chuckled, showing Fuutarou a simple spell that revealed what the quintuplets needed to do to make him comfortable around them in the future.
"Y-yeah, I know that!" Fuutarou whispered, annoyed at the witch.
"Come on, smartie pants~ I know deep down you will thank me for this! You better not waste the opportunity!" Kanna exclaimed.
"Hmph, I'm not thanking you since this curse is really annoying to deal with!" Fuutarou replied back in a low tone, making Kanna frown.
"Well maybe not now, but you will thank me eventually~" Kanna told him.
"Whatever, but not today… Could you scram before Raiha thinks I'm someone who's talking to myself?" Fuutarou said to her in a low tone.
Kanna shrugged and smiled at the young man as she stood up from his shoulder.
"Fine, fine… Don't have too much fun at the festival, Fuu-chan~" Kanna teased him and winked at him before disappearing, much to Fuutarou's amusement.
As soon as she disappeared, Fuutarou noticed that he and Raiha arrived at the entrance of the festival. From there, they saw a large amount of stands that featured fireworks to buy and a variety of games. Raiha noticed a building where they could watch the fireworks with good view.
"Hey onii-chan! Do you think we would be able to watch the fireworks from the top of that building?" Raiha asked him in excitement.
Fuutarou sighed, breaking the bad news early.
"I'm sorry Raiha, but we need to have a ticket for that so we could have permission to watch from the top view and I couldn't get one unfortunately…" Fuutarou told her sadly. Raiha made a small frown for a brief moment before looking up to him with a smile.
"That's alright, I'm just glad you agreed to take me to the festival!" Raiha told him.
Fuutarou headpatted her and gave her a smile in return.
"Of course Raiha, I just hope I don't look too silly in the kimono I bought," Fuutarou said awkwardly.
"You're fine, don't have any second thoughts! I know it looks amazing on you and if Itsuki-san told you that it looks good on you, then you're going to be fine!" Raiha reassured him, earning another headpat from Fuutarou.
"If you say so, Raiha," Fuutarou sighed in relief.
As soon as they entered the festival, they could hear a loud voice coming from their direction.
"Oii! Uesugi-san~! Raiha-chan~!" Yotsuba called out to the two while she was running to them.
"Ah, Yotsuba-san!" Raiha noticed Yotsuba coming as the two hugged each other.
"I'm glad you two made it! Let's go and try out all the games they have there before we watch the fireworks!" Yotsuba exclaimed excitingly.
Although, Fuutarou was distracted for a bit while taking a good look at Yotsuba's yukata. She wore a stylish green yukata with a green belt. Fuutarou could admit that her yukata fit her very well and tried to resist blurting out sudden compliments to the girl. Soon after, the four other girls were headed towards them.
"Yotsuba, you need to stop wandering off on your own and stick with us! You know we would find Uesugi-kun sooner or later before the fireworks started!" Itsuki said to her upon arrival.
"I'm glad you came, Fuu-kun~ Take a look at my yukata! Does it look good on me~?" Nino said as she spun around once in a stylish way for Fuutarou to take a good look, making the young man blush.
"Beautiful…" Fuutarou blurted out, making him cover his mouth in embarrassment and in annoyance. Nino smiled upon hearing his compliment as she grabbed his arm and linked her arm around his arm. It made Fuutarou's heartbeat go twice as fast.
"Thank you for joining us to the festival, Fuutarou~" Miku said with a small smile she formed.
"N-no p-problem… M-Miku…" Fuutarou muttered out, stuttering.
Ichika simply chuckled as she saw how much her sisters were getting close to Fuutarou.
After meeting up, they wondered off and explored around and checking out different stands featuring lots of games and food. A while later, Fuutarou somehow managed to get separated from Raiha and the quintuplets due to massive crowd in the festival, making him worried.
"W-we were just talking a moment ago, how did we lose each other so quickly…" Fuutarou panicked and backtracked to think where he could find them.
After backtracking a few steps, he managed to notice Miku who could barely stand up.
"M-Miku!" Fuutarou called out to her. The girl noticed him as she waved at him, making it easier for Fuutarou to reach her.
"A-are y-you alright?" Fuutarou stuttered as soon he reached her. Miku blushed as well before looking at her ankle.
"I s-sprained my ankle…" Miku told him.
Fuutarou had one idea, but it was something that would make him flustered for weeks, but he didn't seem to have any other options. At instinct, he carried Miku on his back.
"I-It's a b-bit e-embarrassing to m-me, b-but I c-can't l-leave y-you like t-this… I'll j-just c-carry y-you t-to a n-nearby bench s-so w-we c-could regroup… H-hang on t-tight…" Fuutarou told her, blushing heavily as he started moving. Miku blushed heavily as well, but held him tight so she wouldn't let go.
"Fuutarou…" Miku muttered out.
For some odd reason, it made Miku really happy that he would get out of his comfort zone to get her to safety.
"Thank you…"
Fuutarou carried Miku for minutes now and managed to notice Yotsuba, Itsuki and Raiha. He noticed that they were eating candies while he called out for them.
"U-Uesugi-san?! M-Miku?! Where were you two and what happened?" Yotsuba instantly went to them.
"M-Miku s-sprained h-her ankle, s-so I n-needed t-to c-carry h-her… I'm s-sorry, b-but c-could y-you take o-over, Yotsuba?" Fuutarou explained as he let Miku down and Yotsuba supported Miku by holding her around herself. Upon release, Miku made a small frown when she didn't get to ride his back anymore.
"I'm glad you two are alright, Uesugi-kun!" Itsuki said with worry.
"Yeah… I-I'm g-glad you t-two t-took c-care o-of Raiha d-during m-my a-absence…" Fuutarou said while looking at Raiha.
"It's a good thing you stayed with Yotsuba and Itsuki… Otherwise I wouldn't know what I would do…" Fuutarou said as he turned over to Raiha.
Raiha smiled at him, reassuring him that they took good care of her while they were playing games.
"That's g-good t-to hear," Fuutarou said before turning to Itsuki, blushing and stuttering.
"D-do y-you k-know w-where Ichika or Nino w-went?" Fuutarou asked Itsuki.
"I heard Nino was trying to stop Ichika from going with someone…" Itsuki told him.
"If you want to know where they went, they're at the entrance of that building over there."
Itsuki pointed at the building where Fuutarou and Raiha saw earlier, thanking Itsuki and went to the building to find the two older quintuplets. Itsuki could only look at his direction and sighed, hoping Fuutarou could convince Ichika to stay.
A while later, Fuutarou manages to reach the building and noticed Nino and Ichika having an argument.
"We promised that we would watch the fireworks together! Are you just going with your manager for the job?!" Nino angrily asked Ichika.
Ichika could only look down, wondering what she could say to Nino.
"G-girls… I'm g-glad y-you girls a-are s-safe…" Fuutarou stuttered upon arrival.
"Fuu-kun…" Nino muttered out once she noticed him.
"I-Ichika… I h-heard f-from I-Itsuki that y-you w-were g-going to l-leave your s-sisters…" Fuutarou said to her from what Itsuki told him.
Ichika faced him with a small smile, making Fuutarou blush. However, the smile Fuutarou saw was rather sad as he kept explaining.
"I d-don't k-know what m-made y-you c-choose t-that d-decision, but l-let m-me t-tell you t-this o-once… I-If y-your s-sisters a-are important to y-you than a-anything e-else, you w-would s-stay and w-watch t-the fireworks w-with them," Fuutarou told her. Hearing what he said touched Nino's heart as she hoped he could convince Ichika to stay.
"B-Because… Y-you m-might n-not be a-able to h-have a-another moment l-like this with y-your s-sisters…" Fuutarou added later on, causing Ichika to leave a single tear as it touched her heart as well.
Fuutarou sighed, trying to continue while trying to fight the unending blush he has on both cheeks.
"I p-probably c-can't s-stop y-you… b-but p-please reconsider s-staying w-with t-them…" Fuutarou said before leaving to get the other sisters.
Before he could do so, Ichika grabbed his arm and called someone.
"I-Ichika… W-what a-are y-you-?" Fuutarou managed to mutter out before getting interrupted by the phone call Ichika made.
"H-hey… I wanted to say that I'm going to stay with my sisters after all, would it be alright if we could have the photoshoot another time?" Ichika said through her phone.
From the other side of the phone, a female voice could be heard while she sighed.
"Alright, Ichika-san… But next time, you need to tell me earlier if you wanted to go with your sisters to the festival. I'll tell them you got sick and couldn't make it and reschedule your photoshoot, alright dear?" she told her through the other side of the line.
"Thank you, manager…" Ichika told her with a smile as she hung up the phone. She then hugged Fuutarou and smiled.
"I'm sorry for worrying you and my sisters, Fuutarou-kun~" Ichika said in a flirty tone, yet it felt sincere as Fuutarou blushed.
"Honestly, I d-didn't t-think I c-could c-convince you… I-Ichika…" Fuutarou awkwardly admitted.
After patching up, the quintuplets, Fuutarou and Raiha reunited again as they met up in the same building Fuutarou found the two oldest quintuplets. From there, Nino showed the guard her ticket to get to the top of the building. The guard allowed them to go as the quintuplets and the Uesugis went to the top.
"Wow, it's even beautiful at the top!" Raiha exclaimed as she went to the quintuplets to enjoy the fireworks popping up very soon.
Fuutarou went over to the nearest bench as he began to sit while thinking for a bit. Meanwhile, the quintuplets and Raiha were preparing their own by lighting up their mini fireworks and stretched them as far away as possible to celebrate.
Fuutarou looked over at the fireworks popping up as he admired them. He sighed and put a smile as he wished that his mother could be there watching with him.
After looking at the fireworks for minutes, he looked at the quintuplets from a distance, blushing again. For a while, the quintuplets didn't seem to notice as they were too busy holding their mini fireworks. However, Itsuki managed to notice him, meeting his eyes and walk over to him.
"Uesugi-kun~! Why don't you join us while we were preparing our own fireworks out there?" Itsuki asked him with a polite smile.
Fuutarou got flustered even more as Itsuki walked closer to him.
"Y-you girls c-can go a-ahead, I'm j-just going t-to stay h-here and w-watch f-from this v-view," Fuutarou told her, making the star pins girl worried.
"Uesugi-kun…" Itsuki muttered out
"I'm s-sorry Itsuki… I j-just don't f-feel l-like lighting u-up f-fireworks today…" Fuutarou told her, making Itsuki worry for him even more as she walked even closer to him.
"It's alright Uesugi-kun! If you don't feel like lighting up the fireworks with us, then I'll just stay with you," Itsuki said, causing Fuutarou to blush more.
"N-No, that's o-okay! Y-you d-don't have t-to-" Fuutarou managed to say as he got interrupted when Itsuki sat next to him and put her head on his shoulder.
"Is it okay that I stay like this? We can just watch the fireworks together, okay?" Itsuki asked him, looking at his eyes.
From there, Fuutarou could only give in as he nodded and looked over to the fireworks popping up more and more.
"I'm glad you could convince Ichika to stay, Uesugi-kun~ Thank you for getting all of us together to watch the fireworks in time~" Itsuki said and smiled as she closed her eyes while enjoying to get closer to him.
"O-oh… I d-didn't really d-do m-much… B-but I a-am g-glad y-you g-girls got t-together to c-celebrate the f-festival," Fuutarou replied.
Looking at the girl's yukata, he tried to resist again blurting out sudden compliments, but managed to slip out anyway.
"By the way… You look extremely beautiful and stunning in the yukata, Itsuki-chan," Fuutarou blurted out, covering his mouth in embarrassment. Itsuki blushed and giggled sweetly as she looked at him.
"You're always so sweet Uesugi-kun, I'm glad you like my yukata, thank you~" Itsuki told him happily.
After looking at each other for a moment, Itsuki then did the unthinkable and leaned in closer to his left cheek, kissing him there softly. This caused Fuutarou to almost jaw drop as he got surprised by her sudden action as he looked at her after she moved away from his cheek and smiled at him.
"Another thank you, for being thoughtful and caring~" Itsuki told him, slightly in a flirty tone as she leaned towards his shoulder again and closed her eyes with a bright smile.
When she complimented him and leaned towards his shoulder, Fuutarou did blush as usual, but to his surprise, he managed to finally control his unending blush, making it less visible than before.

Does this mean that he's less nervous around Itsuki?
"Hey, Uesugi-kun?" Itsuki called out to him as he listened to her.
"I would like to come back to the festival again, just you and me next time~ Is it okay~?" Itsuki asked him.
Fuutarou smiled and nodded. While he still was blushing, he could keep it in control while being able to answer her without stuttering or being awkward around the girl.
"I would like to go to the next festival with you next time as well, Itsuki-chan~" Fuutarou said, making Itsuki smile as she wanted to look at him again. Noticing that he's feeling less flustered, Itsuki got surprised.
"E-ehh?!" Itsuki screamed.
"Your cheeks aren't red anymore! Could it mean that… You're comfortable around me?" Itsuki asked him.
"A-ahaha… Yeah, I'm comfortable around you…" Fuutarou said while feeling happy that he could talk to Itsuki without stuttering. Itsuki then gave the biggest smile she could form and hugged him tightly.
"I-I'm so happy, but how?! You could barely talk to me during our sessions!" Itsuki asked, wondering what caused him to feel more comfortable around her.
Fuutarou smiled and gave her a headpat, thinking about the kiss on the cheek Itsuki gave him not too long ago.
"I think when you kissed me on the cheek so suddenly managed to make me feel less nervous around you, Itsuki…" Fuutarou told her, making her blush and giggle.
Of course he knew that the quintuplets had to kiss him so he would feel more comfortable around them, but he didn't want Itsuki to know that and he didn't want to force them just to get it over with.
"Hehe, if that's the case then I'm glad it helped you feel less nervous around me!" Itsuki assured him, feeling happier that she made him feel less nervous around her.
"I'm happy too, Itsuki-chan… I'm glad to be less nervous around a beautiful woman like you," Fuutarou blurted out, causing him to cover his mouth again, but he chuckled.
"S-sorry, I guess I'm still blurting out sudden compliments to you," Fuutarou said shyly, but managed to get over his shyness quickly and smiled.
Itsuki covered her mouth with both her hands and giggled as they continued to watch the fireworks. She leaned her head towards his shoulder again while Fuutarou stroked her hair gently, which made Itsuki very happy.
"Thank you, Itsuki… I'm glad I can finally speak to you without feeling nervous around you, but I'm still nervous around your sisters… I wonder how this will go now that I can rely on you?" Fuutarou thought, thinking about the future tutoring sessions…
Hehehe, Fuutarou can finally talk to Itsuki without feeling nervous now! However, did you notice he called her a woman when he randomly blurted out that sudden compliment?
Wonder why he called her a woman? Don't worry, we will find out in the future! For now, we should be happy that Fuutarou is feeling comfortable around Itsuki!
Interestingly, Fuutarou didn't ask about at some situations like he couldn't get out of Itsuki's grip for example. Seemed like he was too busy getting her off his sight since Raiha was nearby at the time. Don't worry, he will ask about the additional effects about the love spell. I haven't forgotten~
