Chapter 50: Thankful

How many hours they had slept? They didn't know. When they woke up in the morning, sun was already up in the sky. He grabbed his phone on the nightstand to check on the time. It was only 11AM. Lunch was only at 1PM. They had time to emerge from sleeping.

Chris moved slowly, rubbing her eyes and finally turned to face him.

"Oops, I think I may have fallen asleep last night… Sorry…"

"You'll be sentenced for this, hope you know that!"

"Wouldn't have happened if you had listened to my warnings. You'd rather talk about sports than coming to your tired wife. And you missed it all…."

She pushed the blanket a little to let her red lace body appear. "Too bad for you… I should be the one sentencing you, now. I really felt betrayed last night, still am…"

He started to laugh. She was so good at shaming him. He liked how she was so playful and naughty from early morning.

"Maybe I could make amends… You know for making you feel so bad."

"That's an idea, man."

He was surprised by the intonation she used to pronounce "man" making him laugh even harder. "So woman, tell me what I can do to win your graces again…"

He started kissing her in the neck. She shivered under his lips. Loving the contact between them and her skin, as it was the perfect place for them to be. She let him take the lead and enjoyed feeling him becoming more and more impatient while she was doing her best not to yield under his numerous requests to go further. Not that she didn't want to but she didn't want to give in too easily. Not after what he did to her last night. He needed to feel the pain too.

His kisses became more pressing, pushing her in her last own corners. She let out a sigh. He was winning but he was so good at teasing her with his tongue. He bit her ear. She couldn't restrain her body to curve. He knew he was on the verge of making her yield. He intensified his kisses, slowly reaching her breasts and staying here for a while. He loved this place. He eventually placed each of his hands on each of her breasts and continued his road to her belly, her groins till arrived to the promised land.

She moaned. She couldn't hold herself back now. Her body couldn't resist anymore. She made him drag on for so long now. She grabbed his head to be able to kiss him properly on the mouth. She bit his lower lip before letting her tongue coming in his mouth. He giggled.

"You're very one of a kind."

"Not now, Long Beach, you need to make you forgive, remember."

"Haven't had already?"

"Just the beginning, you need to be more persuasive."

He pushed her on the mattress, getting rid of the blanket once for good so he could keep her at his mercy. She didn't need to be asked twice and followed Jim's moves. He was so good when he was taking the lead. She looked at him in the eyes before kissing him again, this time with more wilderness. Him letting his hands running over her body added urgency in her kisses. She wanted this man, she needed this man.

He stopped for a while to look at her and finally sat astride her. She was ready, she let him removing what was left of her read lace body and enjoyed one more time his hands all over her body. When his skin touched hers, it was as if an electric discharge ran through her body. She could tell by Jim's smile he was as pleased as she was.

As he entered her, she lost count of the time, the date and the place they were. She just enjoyed the moment. She loved feeling him so close to her, so intimate, so deep. She let him drive. She didn't want to interfere with his vibes. She just followed his rhythm and moaned to let him know it was on the right path.

When he reached her ultimate level of pleasure, she tried to retain her moans, biting her lower lip as hard as she could. She could feel her breast becoming harder as he intensified the moves. He quickly felt her troubles to remain silent and invaded her mouth with tongue, allowing her to use all the bliss she was feeling through this wild, crazy, soft kiss.

He let his hands run over her body, first stroking her hard breasts, then along her legs, which were embracing him. He appreciated that she was holding him tighter and tighter, not wanting to let him go away from her. He took his time to kiss vigorously her breasts, getting up to her neck where he finally cuddled his head.

When he was done, all sweaty, she refused to let him go, hugging him as strong as she could. She didn't want his body to leave hers. The bliss surrounding them was so appeasing, so relaxing, she didn't want to leave this place. He must have felt the same way because he nestled his head in her neck and seemed not to be willing to go anywhere.

As a noise came from the other side of the door, they both jumped. Surprised while they were stuck in their blissful bubble.

"Get out, lover birds, people wait for you for lunch." Tan told as he was knocking at the door. "Time to get up and get dressed…"

They heard him snickering on the other side of the door.

"Almost ready, will be there in 10 minutes."

"Yeah, almost…" And they heard Tan walking away from their safe spot, still giggling.

"How could we have missed the hour?!" Chris jumped from the bed as she saw the hours on her phone. "12:30PM!"

Jim jumped at his turn from the bed and they ran to the bathroom, one taking a quick shower one after the other and getting dressed in the blink of an eye. Ten minutes later, they were outside, on their way to Deac and Annie's house.

"Hey, look who's there!" Thomas was the first one to see them arrive.

"You look radiant, lovebirds!" Diego added, with a mischievous smile.

"Crazy what a good night sleep can do. " Bonnie came to their rescue, winking at them in secret.

"Heyyy, you're here." Deac irrupted from the kitchen with a lot of plates, all full of food.

"Hira! Hiro!" Sarzo was just behind him, followed by Elena, wearing her apron.

"Auntie, you're not cooking again?"

"No." Chris gave her the rolling eyes. "Ok, I may have prepared some little extras but it makes you happy to cook for all of you!"

Luca finally came. He was late. He apologized, he had not heard the alarm clock. Nora didn't miss the chance to tease him before going to take a look over the kids who were playing in the garden. Hondo and Nichelle soon arrived, right in time. They came to greet Chris and Street and gave discreetly a bag to Victor who hid it in the kitchen with Annie's help.

"Time to eat!" Elena and Annie called everyone.

They all joined the table the two women had laid earlier and sat round, letting Chris and Jim occupied the central places. Surrounded by their friends, their family, they were happy. Sarzo and Elena shared some anecdotes about Chris as a kid. Deac and Annie teased Bonnie and Victor about their daughter to come, Hondo told again and again how Street was a brat when he came to SWAT, believing he knew anything when in fact he barely knew his name.

Buck enjoyed the moment to tell everyone how Street was such a go-getter as a kid that when he played football at school he often ended up off field or fighting with adverse team.

"Hey, I don't want to lose!" Street counterattacked. "Not my fault the others didn't accept my supremacy."

"It's alright? You're not getting too big for your boots, Street?" Tan asked, while laughing.

"Don't go there, bro. You and me are the same!"

"He's not wrong." Bonnie added, with a mischievous tone.

"You see! Look how I struggled to win this perfect creature, but I did."

"And I pay the price every day!" Chris tackled Jim as she heard him talk about her while she was speaking with Deac and Annie about the delicious pies they were eating.

"You didn't think we were gonna get from here so easily!" Hondo irrupted from behind them, overjoyed. "Listen up people! "

"Damn we should have played Hondo bingo!" Luca mumbled to Deac, sat just next to him.

"What's Hondo bingo?" Nora asked very softly. She was intrigued by this.

Luca sighed. He didn't speak as low-voiced as he thought. He turned to Nora who was seated on his left.

"First you must promise, we'll never talk about this except with the original 20-Squad, being Tan, Deac, Chris, Street and me. You promise?"

"Of course, of course!" She answered in a hurry. "Won't say a word to anyone."

"Ok, so it's a game we play. We bet on Hondo saying his fav ripostes for a shift and the one who loses invites the others for a BBQ!"

"Sounds really cool!"

"It is, except when the kid over there" He showed Street. "Gets us all busted." Nora tried to restrain a laugh.

"Ok, ok, promise, I won't do this! Tell me next time you play, would like to try!"

"So it's a deal!" Nora nodded at Luca before focusing on what Hondo was telling to the people around the table.

"Street and Chris don't believe your SWAT family had forgotten to bring you a gift !"

"But…" Chris had no time to keep talking as Hondo spoke again.

"We know you're not the material kind. And to be honest, you've already had a lot in your apartment! So we found another idea. Thanks to King Luca who came with the idea and talked about it with all of us!"

He rummaged in his pocket and go an envelope out of it. Victor and Bonnie, seated just in front of them, handed them a big "congratulations" card.

"For after… When you'll have some time to read tonight, we all have written some words for you inside." Bonnie told.

"Yeah, don't get emotional here, guys!" Tan told to have the last word over his best friend.

"And now, open it!" Hondo ordered Chris and Street before he gave them the envelop.

"But guys, you shouldn't have…" Street started.

"Yeah, you've already done so much. With the ceremony, the food… Helping us to choose our clothes, bearing us as we were stressing over the organization…"

"Chris, for once, stop talking and open this damned envelop!" Deac ordered her.

Chris took the envelop on the table and opened it. Street was looking at her with attention. She got a piece of paper from it and started to read. After a few seconds, she gave the paper to Street.

"No, you don't…" She couldn't believe her eyes. What she had read was so unbelievable.

Street slowly raised his head from the same piece of paper and looked stunned. "Guys, this is…"

"Hey, hey, hey, note to ourselves, guys, we manage to make Street speechless!" Luca joked.

"Unbelievable!" Tan added. "Who could have believed this could happen?"

"Certainly not me!" Deac ended, snickering.

"So happy?" Hondo asked to the just married.

"But we can't accept this…" Chris started.

"This is too much…" Street completed.

"You will and there's no other choice! This is a gift from your SWAT Fam. You can't refuse it and Hicks is Ok, anyway. He even participated!" Hondo proudly confessed.

Chris and Jim couldn't believe what their friends, their family had done. They offered them some of their days off so they could go on holidays a little longer, enjoying their life as newlyweds, away from daily routine.

"Seriously guys, we don't know how to thank you for this…" Street finally told. He was still astounded by the news.

"Just be happy and send us pics!" Deac asked.

"We can do this… But once again, thank you, really from the bottom of our heart." Jim was the talkative one, again. Things had become normal again.

They both stood up and went to hug their teammates for the amazing gift they had just offered them.

"This is what family is for!" Hondo told both of them as they kept thanking everyone.

"And you have any idea where you want to go?" Annie asked after everyone was seated at table again.

"I may have an idea…" Chris answered with a little shrewd faint smile.
