Eli knocked on the Wanda/Vision household (Was he not asleep just a moment ago?). Even behind the closed door, he could hear the cries of a baby.
Did he even cry this much when he was a baby?
Mrs. Wanda opened her door and for a second there was another woman standing at the door, with red eyes and long hair. That was not Mrs. Wanda.
" Hi, Mrs. Wanda. Auntie Agnes said you weren't doing very well so I brought some food for you and Mr.Vision." He held up the crock pot.
"That's so sweet, honey." She looked at the content of the pot. "But, uh what is it?"
"It's rice porridge with eggs, my grandma used to make it every time...I…was...sick…" He trailed off. His grandma was kind, she loved gardening (and she would make him Duel Fuel when he got better. Where was sh-)
" Why don't you come in?" Mrs. Wanda offered.
"Thanks Mrs. Wanda."
He waved to Mr. Vision as he walked past the man and set the pot down on the counter.
Little master…..beware…..the Witch…..
Eli turned around, only to see Mrs. Wanda look at him while Mr.Vision continued to play with the baby.
"What's their name?" Eli asked. ('What did you do?' He didn't say)
"This is Tommy." Mr. Vision answered, rocking his son. " And the little guy in the crib is Billy."
"May I?" At the couple nod, Eli looked down at the crying baby. He looked exactly like his brother and already Eli couldn't tell the two boys apart. Billy cried as laid in his crib and, boy, was he loud. Did all babies cry this hard? (Akari use to say when he was small only a stuffed Pinecono could get him to stop crying )
" Hey buddy, you're afraid right? That's why you're crying." Yuma pushed himself forward, through the scarlet bindings of grief and sorrow and pain. Yuma took in the Chaos surrounding him. And not for the first time, he created.
"This is [Scarlet Weid," He said as he placed the card into the baby's hand. "They'll protect you when you go to dreamland."
Mrs.Wanda was about to say something but stopped when she noticed Billy had ceased his crying. The boy tilted his head curiously as he looked at the card, and faintly above him a tiny wizard with a body made out of stars and a red cape looked over him. The spirit hummed a song Eli didn't know but Yuma was familiar with.
Before all of the misery could pull Yuma's back, he turned to Tommy. Another card appeared in his hand. " And this is [Silver Weid, they're friendly I promised."
The moment Tommy grabbed hold of the card, Eli was there again crying on the inside.
"How did you do that?" Mr. Vision asked slowly.
"It's just a little close up magic trick, sir." Eli replied good naturedly. "Oh, hey, they stop crying."
"Isn't that great, dear?" Mrs. Wanda cut in. "Now all we have to do is get them to go to bed."
Getting the cue, Eli took his leave.
