Hello everybody, I am back at it again with another chapter for-
( suddenly someone barges into my room, it was Jewel as she flies in with an angry look on her face )
Jewel, "WHAT THE *&*% ISAIAH?! WHY ARE YOU TAKING SO LONG?!"
Jewel what the heck?! why are you in my room?!
Jewel, "Don't avoid my questions! I need to know why did it take you so long to post this chapter! it should've taken you a few days to write it not an entire freaking 4 weeks to do it!"
Well I was busy with other things, I'm in College now and I have a Job
Jewel, "BULLCRAP! you have plenty of time on your hands to write your chapters, but instead you put your time into playing video games and watching youtube videos! I literally saw you playing that Fall: Las Vegas game"
It's Fallout: New Vegas, Jewel
Jewel, "I don't care! you need to get your priorites straight and quit procrastinating! Rio 3 will probably be out on DVD and video by the time your done with this trilogy! Have you even finished the homework assignments you were given this break-"
( Jewel keeps on yammering on and on as she starts to sound like the adults from "Charlie Brown", I just look at you my readers with a tired gaze )
this is gonna take awhile, so let's just get this over with, also a heads up this is the final chapter for Act 1, after this chapter we'll be heading into act 2, so here we go.
Meanwhile
Inside the glass box where Ethan, Mia, and Isaac were waiting for Isaiah and David as they were sitting down with Ethan's jacket covering Isaac's middle part, suddenly the mirrors around David begin to disappear with both him and Isaiah landing on the ground, the others began to get up with Isaac tying Ethan's jacket around his waist as they go over to them.
"Good job Isaiah, you managed to bring him back" said Ethan
But Isaiah didn't look all that pleased if anything he looked distressed, the others looked concerned about his expression.
"Isaiah what's wrong?" Mia asks
Isaiah takes a moment to collect his thoughts, as he faces down in shame.
"I wasn't able to exactly free him back there, as it turns out the old man was just letting me free you guys the whole time, he tightened his grip on me and he just let me and David go when he was done looking at David's memories" said Isaiah
Everybody looked surprised at this new information.
"Oh crap! This can't be good" said Ethan
David begins to groan a bit as he struggles to get up from the ground,everybody looked a bit worried for him as Isaiah and Ethan help him up.
"Take it easy now, no need to force your body like this" said Ethan
Isaiah asks, "Are you alright David?"
David replies, "...Yeah I'm fine, my head feels like it's about to explode...I haven't felt pain like this in years"
Isaac says, "I got him guys, lend him to me"
Both Isaiah and Ethan let go of him as Isaac puts David's right arm around his shoulder, David finally opens his eyes with Isaac giving him a reassuring smile.
"Isaac...Why are you half naked?" David asks in a curious tone
Isaac looks down, he then looks up at David although Embarrassed he puts up a tough guy demeanor.
"That's not important right now, you just rest now and let us handle the rest" said Isaac in a calm tone
Isaiah seething with frustration, he over towards Blu and Jewel still in their unconscious state, he began walking over towards them, Mia looks over to Isaiah, she knew immediately where he was heading towards
"Wait a sec Isaiah, you're not planning to try and free Blu and Jewel are you?" Mia asks in a precautious tone
Isaiah replies, "I am"
Ethan says, "Isaiah you said that the old man was letting you free us from captivity, don't be reckless by going back in their"
Isaiah says, "I have to try, whatever memories the old man is plucking from them has to end now, even if it means I get stuck in there for eternity"
Isaac says, "listen to them, you won't be helping anyone if you get caught again, if he has complete control over this environment as well as our memories then there's nothing we can do about it"
Isaiah looks over to the group with fire in his eyes.
"I have God on my side, each and everyone of us do, don't lose sight of that, nothing is impossible with his power" said Isaiah
Ethan says, "we know Isaiah, all we're just saying is to wait, I have a feeling that things won't turn out the way we want it if we try to force the situation in our hand"
Mia walks over as she grabs onto his right arm to prevent him from going any further.
"Please just trust us, trust in your own words and wait for a moment don't do this" said Mia
Isaiah then looks into Mia's eyes seeing " said Mia
Although Isaiah was determined to see it through, he looks at his friend and sees the fear in her eyes, those feelings of frustration and determination fade away and he calmed himself down, suddenly without warning the mirrors around Blu and Jewel began to disappear, the two adult birds began falling but before they could even hit the floor, Isaiah catches them at lightning speed with his hands, but even so everyone were extremely surprised by this turn of events except for David as he seemed unphased by it.
"Well this takes good things happen to those who wait on a new level" said Ethan
( Author's notes: So in the original story Blu and Jewel did have a chapter set around them which acted as a recap of their own story, So yeah I'm gonna remove it seeing as it's totally pointless and I'm too lazy lol
Jewel shouts, "HEY ARE WE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?!"
So just go watch the movies Rio 1 and 2 and that'll pretty much cover it
"STOP IGNORING ME YOU SON OF A- )
Chapter 9: The Long Road begins
Everything was pitched black within the moment, Blu began to wake up in that darkness, all was quiet and still for him, he looked scared in that moment with a familiar fear rising up within him.
"Where, Where am I? What is this place?" Blu asks himself
He began to look around the vast darkness.
"Jewel? Kids? Anyone?" Blu asks
But no answer, there was only silence, but then whisperers broke that silence which startled Blu, he turns around to see a giant multicolor orb behind him, that orb had multiple voices coming from it, those whispers sounding very familiar to him, Blu didn't seem at all frightened by this orb but looked at it like a curious child, he looks at it as he almost recognizes the orb, he then extends his wings towards it, but just as he was about to touch it with the tip of his feathers…
"BLU!" a voice shouts
Blu immediately wakes up afterward with him laying on the ground, although his vision was hazy at first but it soon got a lot more clearer, he first sees Isaiah looming over his head to what appears that he was healing him as Isaiah looked really happy and relieved to see him.
"Hey Tyler, hey Jewel, welcome back to the world of the awake" said Isaiah
Blu immediately sits up without feeling any fatigue along with his mate Jewel, they see the children within the glass box with David no longer in pain.
"Oh uh hey kids, did we miss something?" Blu asks
Ethan replies, "don't worry about, we'll catch you up to speed"
Blu asks, "good, first question, where are we and what just happened?"
Ethan replies, "well to be put it shortly, the old man placed us here in this glass box and decided to probe us of our memories"
Jewel asks, "alright, where are the rest of you guys? And more importantly where are our kids?"
David replies, "They went M.I.A"
Blu asks, "alright then, why was Isaiah healing us and why is Isaac half naked?"
Isaac seemed irritated by that question.
"Why does everyone keep asking that?" Isaac thought to himself
Isaiah replies, "well I was healing you to relieve the pain you both were in right after I healed David, and as for Isaac he decided to use his strongest attack on the prison which didn't work with him burning his clothes, oh right by the way I'm sorry to you David for not healing you first and I'm sorry to you Isaac for revealing something like that"
"Your fine" said both David and Isaac in sync
Jewel looks really grateful at Isaiah with her having a big smile and an aura that outshines the sun.
"Well thank you, you're a sweet kid, now one last question…"
Without warning Jewel gives Isaiah the death glare as her aura was now menacing.
"...Where is that cabra velha who touched my babies?!" Jewel asks in a calm yet menacing tone
Isaiah looked terrified of her.
"Uhh, we don't exactly know where he is" said Isaiah
"You have no need to worry over your children, I can assure you that they are safe" an echo of the old man's voice occurs
Both the children and the birds were alarmed by this voice, they looked around with cautiousness with Isaiah standing back up, Blu felt uneasy while Jewel just looked very angry.
"Come on out! Hiding from us is pointless" said David
Within a second, glass shards begin to assemble, these glass shards started to form the feet and the legs with them having boots and slacks being white as snow, the glass begins to form the upper part of the body with the torso and the torso and the arms the torso has a white collar shirt and a white vest with the vest having glittering lines forming across there was also a red satin puff tie on the white collar shirt, the torso had a white plague doctor coat from the 1800s as the hands had white leather gloves and the torso having a white silk cape around it, finally the glass shards form the head, the old man had a white opera on him that covers only the top part of his face with the mask having glittered lines it as he also has a fedora on his head, his beard was neatly trimmed and his light brown hair long and groomed, the old man opens his eyes as they were blue with him manipulating the glass shards to create his own cane.
All of them looked angry at him with Blu being slightly impressed by his choice of fashion.
"Huh, I will admit your outfit does look a bit snazzy" said Blu
Ethan says, "yeah, really trying to sell the villain look"
Jewel asks, "I'm only gonna say this once seu filho da #^%*, where are my kids?!"
The old man looks over to Jewel with a calm and poised expression on his face.
"I already told you, they are safe where they are at, no need to worry about them" said the old man
Isaac says, "that still doesn't give you leeway to what you are doing, kidnapping us and resurfacing our memories that's best to keep deep within ourselves, give me 1 good reason why I shouldn't turn you into a pile of shattered bones"
The old man says, "may I remind you that the last time you attempted to do that you nearly broke your arm, so I suggest that you refrain yourself from attacking any further or the consequences will be severe"
Although the children kept their composure, they were clearly surprised by this sudden change in behavior.
"He was acting regretful a moment ago and now this? What the heck?!" Isaiah thought
David thought, "From remorse to resolve, he was either feeling conflicted about what he was doing and somehow managed to pull himself together or that was just an act to catch us off guard, well it doesn't matter now I suppose"
David walks a bit closer towards the old man with no hesitation.
"Hey pops, there are a few things that I would like to know, for starters your name and what sort of experiment you have in mind for us? You mentioned it in that apology letter you wrote" David asks with a serious tone
The old man replies, "Very well then, for now you may refer to me as the Phantom Menace..."
Both Isaiah and Ethan looked dumbfounded.
"Really? That's the best name he can come up with? Could he at least be a little bit original?" Ethan thought
Isaiah thought, "Not gonna lie, it's good to know that he's a Star Wars fan"
"...And as for the experiment I cannot say much of what it's purpose is for, all I can say that it directly involves with your friend, Tyler Blu Gunderson"
Blu is surprised by this, he did not understand why of all the people in that very room, why him, even the others seemed surprised by this with David just giving a deadpan look.
"That's weird, if you just wanted him then why went through all this trouble to get us?" Mia asks
The Phantom Menace replies, "Well it's because I believe there's a connection between you and the bird"
Now they were even more confused than before.
"A connection?! What on earth are you babbling about, old man?!" Isaac asks
The Phantom Menace replies, "I know it looks as though I am speaking like a mad man but in due time, it will all make sense"
Ethan says, "Uhh we already figured you were a mad man when you know...kidnapped us and apologized for it"
"Fair point"
The Phantom Menace then manipulates the glass that is around them, the glass box then shatters and turns into shards, the shards then rearrange to form a giant rainforest, the structure was highly detailed down to the bone with there being trees everywhere, a giant river flowing across the rainforest, and even birds flying through the sky looked extremely real, they were standing on top of a glass platform floating over the rainforest, both Blu and Jewel were surprised as to what the Phantom Menace has created.
"The Amazon?" both Blu and Jewel said with dismay
The Phantom Menace says, "here we will begin your experiment, you must fight and survive through the rainforest in order to complete the first experiment, after that we shall move onto the next one"
Isaac says, "and what makes you say that we would oblige to this? But you've seen our memories, then you know you can't keep us down"
"Maybe so, but remember when I said that your friends are safe for now?"
The children and the two birds already knew where this was going.
"So you're threatening a girl who is a survivalist, a boy who can summon and wield any weapon in existence, and a gentleman who can manipulate the fabric of space? As well as birds who know these parts better than most of us that could also fly? If so then you really did a sloppy job on your plan" said David
The Phantom Menace says, "true, but I am referring to the ones that don't know my existence yet, the ones who are more vulnerable"
The Phantom Menace then creates glass fragments from his hands and manipulates them to form small glass sculptures of Tiffany, Father Abraham, Carolina, Linda, Tulio, and so many others of their friends and family, all of them remaining silent as they just stare at the sculptures.
"Okay, that actually makes sense" said David
Jewel couldn't handle her anger as she began flying towards him at a fast pace.
"LEAVE THEM OUT OF THIS!" Jewel shouts
Blu shouts, "Jewel wait!"
Isaiah shouts, "Don't do it!"
As Jewel was about to claw his face, her claws go through him with the glass fragments moving away from the attack, his body turns into several glass fragments and reforms behind them.
"Attacking me is pointless, your only exhausting yourself, you should be more focused on saving your loved ones" said the Phantom Menace in a calm tone
Jewel shouts, "How dare you say that! Not only do you drag us into your crap but you also just had to drag innocent people as well?! What's so &*^% important about this experiment that you involve them in this?! HUH TELL ME!"
Blu gets in front of his mate.
"Honey calm down, there's nothing we can do about it" said Blu in a calm demeanor
Jewel shouts, "NO Blu! This &**%^%$ has gone too far and he needs to pay for it!"
Jewel was about to charge at him once more but Blu wraps his wings around her to stop her.
"Honey please stop, I know your angry but please don't anger him, we don't know what he could do to you" said Blu
Although Jewel was still furious, she began to regain her cool as she just let her mate hold her so, Jewel held back her tears as Blu comforted her, the children looked angry at him.
"So that's how it's gonna be then? Your a despicable coward" said Isaac
The Phantom Menace says, "I am not proud of it, but it has to be done, now do you have what it takes to do what needs to be done?"
All of them knew what to do, each and every one of them was filled with determination and hope, without words to express their emotions Isaiah, Ethan, and Mia summoned their weapons with Isaac igniting his fist with his own fire, the Phantom Menace seemed a bit pleased by this.
"Good, glad to see that we're on the same page, but before you go, I would like to give something to David and Isaac" said the Phantom Menace
The Phantom Menace then manipulates the glass fragments around him, the glass fragments begin to form around Isaac first as he now has a new set of clothes, his clothes was a long sleeved white shirt with strings on the front to tighten it, white pants with strings and leathered fisherman sandals.
David receives his desert eagle in his right hand and his combat knife on his left hand as he also receives a gun holster on his right hip and a sheath on his left hip.
"Your going to need those weapons David, after looking into your memories I noticed that this was your preferences when engaging in combat, so make as much use of it as you can, and don't worry, you need not worry about reloading the gun, and as for Isaac...It's kinda self explanatory" said the Phantom Menace
Isaac says, "whelp, I guess you can have your jacket back"
Ethan says, "Yes thank you"
As Isaac hands Ethan his jacket back, David aims the gun at the Phantom Menace and starts firing it, everybody covers their ears as he fires it 10 times with all the bullets going through the Phantom Menace, the Phantom Menace looks at David with his right eyebrow raised.
"Was that really necessary?" the Phantom Menace asks
David lowers the gun.
"I was just making sure if you were telling the truth, this is after all a .44 Magnum caliber, a normal gun fires only 8 rounds per magazine, but I just fired an additional 2 bullets out of it, I guess you weren't lying" said David
The Phantom Menace now looked annoyed by them.
"Whelp I've done my part, It's time for the experiment to take place, good luck and Godspeed" said the Phantom Menace
And just like that the Phantom Menace leaves them be as his glass shards, suddenly the glass platform began to move down into the rainforest, the platform sank into the ground, Isaiah puts his sword down and pulls out his black gloves from his jacket pockets and puts them on his hands, Ethan puts down his hammer and pulls out his black fingerless gloves from the pockets of his pants and puts them on.
"So, what do we do now?" Mia asks
Isaac replies, "well the so called 'Phantom Menace' wasn't really specific on what we should do or where to go, he practically wants us to wander aimlessly in this giant behemoth of a rainforest"
Jewel wipes away the tears as she flies on David's shoulder, she looks fierce and determined.
"We should try to go to my father's tribe, if the Phantom Menace is planning to capture those we care about, then he'll most likely do it in an area where were most familiar with, so we should head there" said Jewel
David says, "let's not jump to conclusions on that, we're not entirely sure if he'll even do it, but at least it's something, so lead the way Jewel"
And So Jewel and Blu fly as fast as they can where they start heading north, the children begin running as Isaiah puts on his hood and he, Ethan, and Mia de summon their weapons. the sun was shining through the trees as shadows cast on the ground, they continued on running through with no stopping.
Isaiah thought, "Blu, Jewel, I promise you that no one will die during this endeavor, things won't be like before...We're not the same helpless little kids that couldn't do a thing back...Now we have the power to face the future"
Well I think it's safe to say this is will conclude Act 1, thank God for that.
( Jewel is violently banging on my door as she was "Demanding to open the door" )
oh don't worry about her, I'll let her in once she cools down and doesn't want to slit my throat with her talons, anyways I have some news guys, I won't be posting another chapter to this story until next year, and here are my reasons.
1. I'm gonna go back into previous chapters such as this one and use the power of "Grammarly" to fix the grammar so that way people won't go "the Grammar in this needs to be fixed" a million times over because it just gets annoying, I want people to judge my storytelling and not my 5th grade writing level ( I'm just exaggerating a bit )
2. This year a friend of mine who is referred to as "T8ECR34TOR" ( it's a long name I know ), is returning after his 2 year mission trip so I'm planning on writing a small christmas story just for him
3. since I never been able to post any stories that relates to the holidays due to my story, well I'm planning on writing my own original christmas stories on Fictionpress ( sorry If I won't be able to post it here since this place is so freaking strict ), but I hope you can come over and read it as it will be a nice change of pace than what I usually write, so I hope you guys can come over and enjoy some good ol tales with me.
