95. Sparkle
Chase stared with curiosity as Jack blinked or looked down. He couldn't understand what he was seeing, every time Jack blinked, Jack's eyes shimmered and sparkled in the light. His lover was merely reading on the couch with him, Chase had just come back from training and wanted to be close to his mate. They weren't doing anything particular that day. There were no showdowns, Chase had no spells to create or study, Jack had to wait until his metal arrived before he could finish his project.
Don't get Chase wrong, he knew about make up but seeing Jack in something so different from his usual mascara/eyeliner combo was baffling to Chase. It was like Jack was a different person. Today Jack as wearing a shimmer-like eye shadow that almost resembled glitter. It was blended in with a darker shadow at the sides, almost giving it a smoky look. He was wearing his eyeliner different; it was thicker; bolder. It had more of a flick at the outer corner like a cat's eye. His eyebrows were more shaped and defined. His cheek bones were more accentuated by a slightly darker shade of something he couldn't remember the name of. The very top of his cheeks just where it lie underneath his eyes and near his temples, were like a highlighted type of effect added to them. Chase let his eyes wander over his lover's new look and landed on his plump lips. Lips that he loved to lick, suck and bite during their nightly play. Lips that were currently covered in a dark brownish-red colour completely making Chase want to kiss him.
Basically, Jack Spicer looked delicious and Chase was getting hungry. Chase always thought that Jack looked gorgeous but right now Jack looked really edible and as a model right now. Chase thought Jack looked so good, he wanted to mess up Jack's new look. The thought made him grin with desire.
"What's the occasion for the new look, Spicer?" Chase purred in an octave that never fails to make Jack shiver with anticipation. Jack paused in his reading and Chase smirked as Jack shivered and his white skin gave way to goosebumps. Chase's smirk turned into a smug grin as he saw the very reaction that he knew would happen. Jack cleared his throat gently.
"J-just wanted to try something new. Do you like it?" Chase's grin dropped off slowly and he almost growled in possessiveness at the sight. Jack had looked up at Chase with ruby-wine seductive eyes that seem to sparkle with the tingle of promise; his voice may have portrayed nervousness but Jack knew what he was doing. He always did. Chase felt his body react to his mate's hungry gaze.
"Like it? It's certainly something different, my Jack. But we both know that your answer wasn't what I was looking for." Jack smirked which made Chase growl lowly.
"You mean you wanted me to say 'I wanted to try something new so I could seduce you.'?" Jack giggled as Chase's seductive growling began to get louder, with a smirk in tow. Chase pulled the book away and dropped it to the floor, not caring where Jack's place was. He'll probably remember it anyway. Chase pulled the beauty on to his lap causing Jack to giggle again with mirth. Jack allowed himself to be pulled into Chase's arms and lap.
"Exactly, so now you have my complete and undivided attention. So do tell, what did you have in mind?" Chase whispered as he shifted the goth about so both of his legs were positioned on either side of Chase's hips and thighs. Jack grinned and settled comfortably, placing his hands on Chase's bare chest. Oh yeah, when Chase didn't have to be any where he went shirtless most of the time at home and with no armour. So had the pleasure of seeing his sexy boyfriend with no hindrances or barriers to stop his play. Chase certainly didn't mind when Jack's white fingers started to trace and glide over his pectorals and six-pack. Chase glided his own hands over Jack's plump but firm thighs and round backside. Jack smiled darkly and lowered his eyelids in a challenge to his master, which stirred something inside of Chase, making him almost impatient to start already, to have Jack Spicer underneath him moaning and writhing in pleasure. Jack was breathtaking when he allowed Chase to take over.
"I have something in mind but I'm not too sure you want to try it..." Although Jack was VERY much in the mood, there was a quiver of nervousness in his voice. This time it was quite genuine which meant that Jack wanted to try something that Chase may not like. Chase was quite versatile with kinks, however he was against hurting his mate. It wasn't like he couldn't participate in BDSM but it refused to allow it to go too far. There was a time that Jack enjoyed Chase spanking him but when he had asked Chase to hit him in the face; it got too much for the warlord. So there was a line he didn't cross, which meant that if Jack got hurt for no reason (sexual or otherwise) at all then he wouldn't do it. He refused to do anything too drastic. Some role play is good as well but role play could be taken too far as well, even become a bit too weird. So maybe this may have been one of them perhaps?
Hm...
"Tell me and we shall see..." Chase smiled as he stroked Jack's thighs gently, trying to comfort Jack into opening up. Jack bit his wine coloured bottom lip and then climbed off Chase lap. Chase didn't pout and look slightly put off by Jack's behaviour, in fact he only just barely hid it as he didn't want to upset Jack into hiding his new secret. Jack then smiled and winked, and then jogged out of the room with a skip almost.
"I'll be back in 5 minutes, okay?" Now that caused Chase to sit up and catch his attention fast. Oh, what did Jack have in mind? His mind started to come up with dirty ideas as to what Jack had planned.
Maybe it was a costume. He started to picture Jack in a maid costume, a leather cat-suit, Jack in a lacy number perhaps...
Chase growled in arousal and thank heavens that he hadn't caught himself drooling on himself. He grew completely impatient for Jack's return, he had to force himself to calm down a little as this was something that was new for Jack and he wanted to share it with him. The aroused warlord decided to open up his ears and listen for any movement in the direction Jack had left in. He could hear rustling of cloth which meant that Jack did indeed choose an outfit or costume, and was changing his clothing. Chase grinned and wondered what his mate had chosen.
Chase sat up straight and listened as he heard heels clicking on the marble flooring Chase had in his citadel a little bit later on. Chase turned his head towards the doorway where Jack had disappeared down.
Suddenly a red headed woman poked her head around the door frame. Chase's eyes widened. Her collar bones were on show as her off the shoulder crop top displayed her taut and slim stomach. Her legs were white and smooth skin was visible as her legs were displayed and went up to her very short mini-skirt which was black. It went well with her sky blue crop top. On her feet were black stilettos, the straps wound around her ankles delicately. Chase pushed his eyes up to her face and hair. Her long red locks fell to her waist in the long wavy locks bounced every time she moved from one foot to the other. She brought her hand up to her cheek and looked at Chase through her long black eyelashes, her sparkling ruby eyes catching his ember ones and keeping him in his spot.
Wait, ruby eyes?
"I've been a bad girl Daddy..." The feminine voice that came from the gorgeous woman threw Chase off a bit.
"Spicer?" The woman smirked and Chase saw his lover through the costume. Oh wow...
"I almost didn't recognise you... you actually worried me for a moment." Jack giggled and made his way over, purposely swinging his hips making his skirt lift and making Chase catch a glance at the ruby red thong underneath. The redhead took his previous seat in Chase's lap and got comfortable again. Chase had to commend Jack on his acting skills.
"You going to punish me, Daddy?" Chase grinned like a dirty old man, grabbing a handful of Jack's backside and his neck in a tight but not too tight grip.
"You've been a bad girl... and bad girls need to be punished... but if you do as you are told, good girls get treats." Chase watched Jack light up, clearly grateful that Chase was humouring him in his fantasy, Chase was very happy to oblige, if the hardness underneath Jack's bottom was anything to go by.
"What do you have in mind, Daddy?" Jack asked in his fake falsetto voice, grinned madly at the warlord. Chase chuckled at the possibilities.
"Oh, you will see."
96. Daddy
Jack groaned in pain and his back was killing him from carrying the weight. Not once had he complained about the children with in him but the little bastards were heavy!
Ah, yes you are probably wondering how Jack could be pregnant. Turns out that there was a spell that could allow two same sex couples to breed. However, there was a problem with that. The 'mother' had to sacrifice something of theirs, Jack chose his legs as he could easily build a bot or use a wheel chair to get around or whatever. It made things difficult but they would be given back once the babies were born and the make shift uterus had gone. It was a sacrifice Jack was happy to take.
Chase, from the other side of the room, watched his mate with a curious yet watchful gaze. Seeing Jack with such a rotund belly full of his sired children; gave Chase a bout of pride. Jack looked over from his spot in Chase's citadel garden and saw his dragon, waving him over to join him. Jack smiled as Chase humoured him and made his way over to him, kneeling down and instantly settling a hand onto Jack's stomach.
"How are you, love?" Jack smiled and rested his hand on top of Chase's.
"I'm fine babe, just tired and have a sore back." Chase hummed and pressed his other hand against the small of Jack's lower back. Jack would have jumped if he didn't know his lover and Master by now. Jack felt himself be soothed by a warm magic that seeped through Chase's hand.
"Better?" Jack sighed happily and nodded.
"Much better, thank you." Chase smiled as he felt his young beneath his hand.
"Can you believe we are going to be parents, Chase?" Jack whispered softly as Chase sat behind Jack gently, Chase's front flat against Jack's back and now both hands against their unborn children.
"Hm, seems unreal." Jack grinned and leant back against his mate.
"I'm so glad you found that spell." Chase then moved and sat beside Jack so he could see his mate's face as he spoke. They both lay back against the grass underneath them.
"I wish I could walk but I know I can't because of the babies." Chase smiled and reached out to pull his mate closer, back into an embrace.
"Don't worry, my Jack. We will manage." Jack sighed comfortably by Chase side and rested his head on Chase's shoulder.
"I hope I get my legs back..." Jack looked down at his stomach and smiled evilly.
"Otherwise, Daddy isn't having any fun for a while..." Chase chuckled at the taunt.
"Is that so, Spicer? You and I both know your drive is more demanding than mine. I did use to be a monk, do not forget that. I do not need sex, you do however." Jack pouted cutely.
"Screw you, dragon man." Was the blunt response and it made Chase laugh out loud.
"But recently, since you have been around I have been craving it more than I have been in a long time." Jack smirked realising that Chase revealed a little too much.
"That included blowjobs, Chase..." Chase's smirk dropped and his face paled comically.
"Shit..." Jack laughed wickedly at Chase's reaction.
"Yup! So you better make sure I can walk when this is over." Chase glared at his mate sourly.
"Humph." Chase sneered and turned his head away from the ruby gaze looking at him with mirth.
"Aw, hey babies? Daddy's sulking!"
"I do not sulk!" Chase retorted quickly, making Jack snicker and sat up slowly, making Chase very aware of his mate's movements.
"Do you wish to get up?" Jack smiled discretely, regardless of the banter-esque fights they have now and since Jack was able to carry young, Chase constantly doted on Jack hand and foot. It was hilarious. Jack tried to get Denahi to help sometimes to avoid any problems with Chase and his slowly dwindling sleep schedule. (It didn't help that Jack had trouble sleeping or had cravings in the middle of the night. On several occasions he tried to get help from Denahi but Chase always awoke and chose to do it instead.).
"I can ask Denahi to-" A growl resounded beside him and slightly echoed.
"What? Don't tell me you are jealous Chase..." Jack watched as Chase refused to look at him.
"Seriously, you are acting so childishly right now. First, I ask Denahi to help because you are struggling to sleep at night as it is, regardless of your monk-training-getting-up-at-the-crack-of-dawn thing. You need to rest Chase. If you burn yourself out, how are you going to protect us?" Chase looked at Jack blankly and blinked, then laughed. Jack looked at him like he went crazy.
"Spicer, I know. I was playing along with you. It seems like you are still not quite familiar with my sense of humour. As for the lack of sleep, you make a good point. However, I want to be there every step of the way, Jack. It's my job as the Father. I want nothing to go wrong. I'm paranoid, Spicer, humour me." Jack pouted sadly, not realising that Chase was being playful. He didn't know that Chase could be playful...
"Sorry... but isn't that why you assigned Denahi to me? To make sure nothing goes wrong? You still need to think of yourself Chase. I'm not going to break easily." Jack sighed, trying to get through to his lover. "I just want you to be able to hold our little ones, not pass out from exhaustion" Jack pointed out firmly. Chase smiled at his mate; Jack believed he knew that he was now being heard.
"I know Jack, you do not understand how impatient I am to meet them. But I will be fine." Jack slumped, okay maybe not.
"I do want to get up though-urk!" Chase had stood up in a flash and picked Jack up from the ground in a bridal hold, then placing him in his custom wheelchair.
"I'm feeling hungry, what do you want, Chase? My treat!" Jack asked happily as Chase helped to strap Jack in to make sure the goth didn't fall out of his creation. Gotta protect the little ones!
"Surprise me." Chase simply said as he stood next to Jack, straightening up into his usual posture. Jack played with the controls and they made their way down the path and to the citadels entrance inside. Jack giggled as his brain started to come up with silly ideas. Jack made noises like he was shooting lasers. Chase snorted at Jack's behaviour.
"What are you doing?" Chase asked almost baffled at Jack's random behaviour but simultaneously finding it mildly entertaining.
"What's in a wheelchair and evil?"
"Your Grandmother?"
"Well, Granny too... but I was thinking more on the lines of a Dalek!" Jack laughed and Chase nearly face palmed.
The day in the life of the Youngs was good, slightly unbearable at times but worth it.
97. Insult
"Look at the freak with white skin... who on earth would paint their skin that pale?"
Breathe.
"Who wears red contacts on a normal day? Does he cosplay 24/7?"
Clench teeth.
"Is he meant to be a goth? His clothes are just all black... The only colour on him is his eyes and hair."
"Who's the hottie with him? He's gorgeous!"
"He's so built too... Imagine those arms wrapped around you at night..."
"He deserves better than that freak... Why do the really hot guys go for the weirdoes?"
"Just look at those long locks of hair... I wish I could run my hands through it and brush it..."
Tense
"Chase? Babe, ignore them. I do, I have to. I'm used to it."
"How can you stand there and allow them to degrade you like that?" Jack smiled sadly looking at his lover.
"I have to because if I don't then I will break down." Chase growled angrily, but couldn't do anything. He himself had insulted Jack in the past. It wasn't fair and it was hypocritical of Chase if he did anything.
"It's alright for you though, isn't it? To know you are desired, attractive, aesthetically pleasing to others. Didn't you hear them?" Chase calmed down and turned to look at his consort.
"It gets boring, to be honest. It's almost like an insult now. I have heard multiple times how desirable I am. But they do not know me and who I am. You are one end of the spectrum Spicer, and I the other."
Jack leant against the shop wall they were stood next to, outside. They had gone out and took a trip into the nearest town and dressed the part of civilians. They were just shopping, not for anything in particular but they just wanted to spend time with each other. Jack was quiet when Chase spoke.
"I am not made of stone, Spicer. As much as others like to think I am. I may have no soul but I still have feelings. I'm sure you view me as someone who should not have insecurities?" The tone was soft so Jack knew it was just a general question and not an angry jab.
"You're Chase Young, you're perfect." Jack muttered honestly and confidently, hoping to make sure that he didn't insult Chase. Chase chuckled quietly.
"Chase Young is but an alias, a name. A reputation I have created and acquired over the centuries to strike fear." Jack paused Chase for a moment.
"Wait, you were Chase Young when you were a Xiaolin Monk. You're speaking as if Chase Young isn't your real name..." Chase snorted at his lover's testing.
"Come on, Spicer. I am a Chinese 1596 year old man and my name is Chase Young. Chase Young that chases youth, sounds a bit strange does it not?" Jack gawked at the realisation.
"Oh my God, that makes perfect sense... but during your Xiaolin days?"
"A shared goal between Guan and myself, I 'chose' the wrong path." Jack nodded understanding. He thought he knew Chase better than he believed. Turns out he didn't know everything.
"I'm sorry, I guess I'm not really your number one fan then..." Jack chuckled quietly trying to bring humour in the conversation, but sad at the words he spoke.
"Don't be, it's not something I openly discuss out loud, intimate knowledge about myself." Chase gave a small smile to Jack who smiled back, understanding. Jack knew Chase was a very private person and very rarely spoken to others about himself, only a select few were allowed to know. Apparently, Jack was one of them, which warmed him up on the inside.
"So what is your real name then?" Chase didn't answer and started to pick up their belonging and dragged Jack to alleyway nearby. They were teleported back home to the citadel, courtesy of Chase of course.
"Maybe another time, Spicer." Jack pouted but didn't push it. Chase maybe patient but his temper had a short fuse if you knew which buttons to press.
"Okay, sorry if I made you uncomfortable..." Chase placed his hand on his lover's cheek gently and stroked it with his thumb.
"I would have not conversed with you if I had been uncomfortable, Spicer." Jack blushed at the touch but confident in his next statement.
"If you don't want to tell me your real name, that's fine. I'm going to hate not knowing but... I just want you to know that I won't force you. Tell me when you're ready. It's different than the other stuff you've spoken to me about. This is more personal..." Chase smiled more like himself, gratefully pulling Jack to him and wrapping his arms around him.
"Thank you."
Chase then pulled away and picked up their belongings and started to walk away to put them away, taking a few cats with him to help. Soon Jack was left by himself in the main hall with some cats and their kittens dotted about.
"Master's real name is Weisheng Long; however the name brings him dishonour. Some things are better left unsaid but I will not divulge any more information... that is for Master to tell you. It would be best if it came from him." Jack turned to the black panther that had padded up to him, and listened to the voice that entered his head.
"Is that why he changed it to Chase Young?" Jack whispered, not wanting to upset Chase should he be in earshot.
"Partly, but as I said, I will leave it as it is and let Master tell you the rest. That is all I am willing to share without getting punished for it." Jack nodded and bid the panther farewell, not wanting to get the warrior into trouble. Jack yawned and left the room to go have a nap.

True to his unspoken word to Denahi and promise to Chase, Jack didn't pester Chase for not searching up for the new information. It was hard as Jack really wanted to know but didn't want to cause arguments should Chase have found out. It had been a week and Chase hadn't said a word regarding it.
Chase had become withdrawn and began avoiding Jack to the extent that made Jack worried. Whether it was to do with his conversation he had with Denahi and Chase had found out or not. Jack tried to keep himself busy throughout the following days as they passed but the need to see Chase outweighed his patience and need to focus on his work. After five more days and still no sign of Chase (including bedtime!), Jack decided to drop everything and go search for his husband.
Searching through the citadel he found that Chase wasn't even home. It was as if he vanished. It had been known for Chase to sometimes 'disappear' for days and not be seen, so Jack wouldn't have been too worried if it weren't for the conversation regarding Chase's real name. Jack just wanted to know if Chase was alright.
He ventured out himself and grabbed his helipack as he left and flew around. He checked fields nearby and ended up at the Xiaolin temple, of all the places. He didn't usually just go over there for a visit but this time was different. Jack felt like he needed to be there.
He touched down in the grounds and was spotted by Master Fung as he came out of the temple.
"Hello, Spicer. I see you chose well to come here when the monks are not here." Jack smiled and chuckled openly at him. Shame he wasn't there to have some fun.
"Actually, Old Man, I'm not here to play. I'm actually here looking for Chase. He's not been home for almost two weeks. I know he's known for leaving at days at a time so I wasn't initially worried, but after a conversation I had with him regarding his past, he's been distant with me. He usually tells me where he's going and how long but he's not told me." Jack actually looked worried and Master Fung had been happy to help as he usually would in a crisis. He walked over to Jack and placed a hand on the goth's shoulder.
"That does seem strange, why did you feel the need to come here however?" Jack shrugged at the question.
"I felt like I was being drawn here, I can't explain it. I honestly don't know why I'm here." Fung hummed in thought. Suddenly, there was a gust of wind and the monks arrived on Dojo.
"Jack Spicer!" They called out with venom in their tones, it made Jack smile a little.
"Now now, monks, Jack isn't here to cause any trouble for once." Omi smiled as an apology.
"Have you decided to be good this time?" Jack snorted and shook his head in the negative.
"Oh hell no, Chrome dome, I'm staying Heylin. No change in that!" Omi slouched and pouted.
"So why'd you come here, partner?" Clay asked, all the monks climbed off Dojo and joined Fung and Jack.
"It sounds stupid... but I felt drawn here by some force. Chase has been missing for almost two weeks and I went looking for him. By the way, don't bother hitting the Citadel. I have a killer 'alarm' system in place, consisting of robots, guns and warrior cats. I thought of everything before I left." The monks laughed in jest but told him they weren't going to be breaking in.
"Easy Jack! We get it, so Chase is missing, you say?" Kimiko asked with a smile, face full of understanding.
"Yeah, I'm really worried..."
"So you came here, because of a pull. Why did you think he came here?" Jack shrugged and didn't know.
"I figured someone had seen him, you guys being the most probable. I've seen that the Wu detector had gone off but didn't bother going as I had other stuff to do." Raimundo hummed as he thought.
"Sorry partner, haven't seen him." Jack sighed and slouched at Clay's negative response.
"No one going to ask the dragon that knew Chase all the way back when he was a monk?" Dojo asked as he slithered. Jack knelt to speak to him.
"What do you mean?" Jack asked.
"You said Chase has been off since a conversation you both had regarding him. Chase is rather private even when he was a monk." Fung mentioned and Dojo agreed.
"He was very proud of his accomplishments, but never boasted. Except there was one story he refused to tell, he did tell Dashi. If it is what I believe it to be, I suggest going to the mountains, Jack. I'll take you there myself." The monks agreed and went to wait to board Dojo and the dragon stopped them.
"No guys, just Jack. I didn't just make a promise to Chase back then, but to Dashi as well. I am, under no circumstances, to tell anyone about what Chase is going through." Raimundo complained at the refusal.
"So why is Jack allowed to know and not us?"
"Chase and Jack are married, so that is point one, the other point is that Chase trusts Jack. So Jack will find out sooner or later. If Chase wants to tell him that is. But Jack just wants to check up on him to see if he is alright. I'm sure Jack hasn't pestered him about it, but I will say that Chase will come home when he's ready though. He wouldn't keep you in the dark for long." Jack smirked as the monks clearly didn't like been kept in the dark and sulked, but they respected what they were told and stayed put.
Dojo grew in size again and Jack climbed on his back. The two took off in the direction to the mountains and got a bit closer to Chase Young.
XS
Jack held on to the hair on the back of Dojo while he contemplated as they flew to the mountains. Luckily, it was a very warm day and Jack wouldn't have to worry about the temperature. Jack started to wonder what it could possibly be that had caused Chase to disappear. Denahi mentioned that his name caused him dishonour and shame. Why? Was it a family matter or a moment of sacrifice that was ill performed? Money? Class? Love maybe?
Jack was unsure, he wanted to ask Dojo for some information but he knew Chase would be mad if he asked. Jack decided to ask generic questions instead, this way he knew the form of nature it would be and yet be in the dark of what it was.
"Hey Dojo? What was the base for this dishonour? Was it familial or something else? I don't want details as that's for Chase to tell me. I just want to know so I can be ready when he is." Dojo was quiet for a moment which made Jack wonder if the dragon even heard him over the wind. Or maybe he did and was just choosing to avoid Jack's questions.
"It's best if you just wait for Chase to tell you, Jack. I understand what you want to know and why but again, a promise is a promise. I can't tell you, I'm sorry." Jack huffed at the dragon and then sighed in defeat. Fine, he tried but left it as it was.
They arrived within minutes and Jack saw a village, or what was left of it. The houses or buildings were ruins barely recognisable. Some walls were still intact but that's all they were, there weren't any old furniture or anything with in the ruins. It was as if it was desolate and decayed. It was like it was an archaeologist's site. Jack jumped down from Dojo and the dragon shrunk in size.
"I will stay with you until you find Chase then once the two of you are reunited, I will take my leave. Chase can take you home through a portal if need be. I hope you find the answers you want answered soon. Hopefully, Chase will tell you sooner rather than later." Jack agreed with a hum and held his hand out for the dragon to hop on and then allowed the dragon to hop onto his shoulder for a brief ride around the village.
They wandered around for a while and didn't find a lot other than an old temple that was still standing. It was quite a sight to behold to be honest, which was saying something considering that whilst it was standing proudly, you can see that it was very clearly worn by time. Jack walked towards the temples entrance, moving aside the old ripped dangling cloth, and waved away any spider webs and dust that appeared in front of him.
"It's been a long time since I've been here, you should have seen it when it was standing proudly in it's heyday. It was a beautiful piece of architecture; many came here to pray to Buddha and the like. Many asked for good crops and good luck for family, marriages and health." Dojo explained quietly as Jack took in the room that they just entered. A lot of people came here apparently and chose this building to be their choice of worship. Jack always loved history, well if it concerned Chase of course it did, but this was different. He felt much closer to Chase without even knowing why.
"What was this room for? Praying?" Jack asked Dojo quietly and the dragon shook his head. The room in question was large with a shelf with a few old non-circular bronze plates.
"No this was the temples offerings room. It's kind of like church donations, to help with the up keep of the temple." Jack nodded, understanding more. So this temple was the equivalent to a church. He only went to a church with his Grandfather Michael. Jack and his Granny Gwendolyn weren't religious at all but because of his Grandfather, they went in respect of his right to believe. Jack didn't pay much attention other than there was some dude named Jesus and his Father did some good some 2000 years ago. He knew the stories but didn't care much for them.
"Did Chase come here when he was Xiaolin?" Dojo nodded and smiled.
"Yes Chase came here daily to pray for good luck in his training and worked here to keep himself and his mother off the streets- ah! Uhhh... oops... Sorry you weren't meant to know that..." Jack smiled sadly.
"Considering Chase was a monk, religion was everything back then. Not all people did come from happy and wealthy upbringings and such. Some came from horrible backgrounds and came to temples for clarity and safety, for a home to live in. Hearing something that Chase may have gone through, throughout the years... it's sad yes but look at what he achieved because he didn't give up. That man has so much respect from me and from others, not just the Heylin but from Xiaolin alike. He's amazing. Why'd you think I married him?" Jack mentioned, Dojo smiled knowing that, although Heylin, Chase picked someone who truly loved him for who he was and would stand by him.
"Chase is lucky to have someone who cares deeply for him, like you do." Dojo said sweetly. Jack jokingly gagged.
"You know I'm only with him because of the sex right?" Dojo laughed at Jack's humour.
"Suuuure, of course." Jack giggled and carried on looking around. They walked through the room a bit, and forward to find a corridor which was starting to get darker. Jack luckily had a torch attached to his helipack. He activated it and lit up his and Dojo's way.
Jack then noticed a far ways in that there was fire lit torches on the walls. This meant that someone was here. Jack turned off the torch in case it was an intruder and not Chase. They gently tiptoed down the corridor further and came to what looked like a tomb.
"It looks like 'The Mummy: The Dragon Emperor's tomb." Jack whispered gobsmacked at the sheer size of the place. There was a stone army of soldiers surrounding a stone box in the middle of it which was carved with a rather large dusty gold dragon on top with emerald eyes.
Dojo nodded.
"You could say that..." The dragon whispered back, "It is a tomb, you're right." Jack turned and looked at the dragon.
"Belonging to whom?"
"My Father."
The sheer disgust and distain in the voice that echoed around them made them both shiver in fear, but luckily the voice made Jack smile slightly because it was Chase's voice that spoke.
"Chase, thank god you are okay! I seriously thought something happened to you. I'm sorry for looking for you but-", Jack stopped as Chase zeroed in on the green dragon on his mates shoulder.
"Don't worry, I didn't say anything. It's your business, Chase. A promise is a promise." Dojo then looked up to the ceiling and saw a long tunnel.
"Ah my way out. Good luck, Jack, and glad to see you alive, Chase. Will see you in the next showdown I'm sure! Ahaha!" With that the cowardly green dragon leapt in the air and flew through the ceiling and left them both alone. Jack felt unsure if his presence was unwelcome, normally he felt at ease with Chase but this time felt tense as it used it to before they got together. Jack was sure he crossed a line now that he was here.
"Why are you here, Spicer?" Uh oh.. last name meant he was angry. No point in lying...
"You were gone for weeks... normally a few days is normal as you've told me in the past that that's normal for you. But it's been 2 weeks and you normally give me a heads up if you are staying away longer. I thought you were hurt or worse dead... not that I doubt your abilities or anything! I just wanted to know if you were okay..." Chase was glaring, staring unblinking into Jack's eyes. "I left to see if I could find you nearby and for some reason I felt drawn to the temple. Dojo reckoned he knew where you might have gone due to the time of year it was. I asked him what that was but he refused to tell me and told me that it w-was your business t-to tell me-I'M SORRY STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!"
Chase growled and looked away, a portal opened up and then Chase spoke.
"Go home." Jack opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out of his mouth.
"I just wanted to know if you were okay. I'm sorry if you feel like I disobeyed you or some-", Chase interrupted again.
"I said go home, Spicer. Now." Jack sniffed as he felt his eyes water with tears. He's really gone and done it now. Chase was livid. Jack was a failure again. Jack moved to the portal and wiped his eyes on his sleeve and stepped through it.
Jack found himself in the citadel's foyer and looked behind him to watch the portal close. That's when Jack fully burst into tears and ran to his lab. He often slept in there to avoid upsetting Chase during the early hours. So Jack threw himself on the bed in there and cried himself to sleep.

Jack woke up to someone stroking his hair softly. Jack opened his dry and tried eyes and looked up to see Chase sat beside him. Jack's head was pounding from crying so much, he was sure he had severe panda eyes from crying so hard. Jack took in Chase and saw that he was mostly normal, armour and all. Save for the Warlord's hands. He saw they were cut up and bruised.
When he left Chase took his anger out on something. It worried Jack.
"I'm sorry..." Felt his eyes tear up again, Chase then hushed Jack gently and whispered it was okay.
"Come to bed, Jack. We'll talk in the morning. Come." Jack was happy enough that Chase still wanted him around and near him. Jack got up, removed his coat and helipack and followed his husband, to their bedroom.
Jack cautiously followed and Chase didn't like that. They suddenly stopped and he pulled Jack to him and held the redhead, kissing his head softly. Looking bewildered, Jack pulled back out of the embrace and look directly into ember eyes.
"I thought you were mad at me?" he whispered meekly, not wanting to anger his lover further.
"Not at you, Jack. I fully understand why you went looking for me and why Dojo told you to go to the mountains. But I wasn't ready to tell you anything. I'm rather horrid when it comes to that place." Jack embraced Chase again, holding him close again.
"I'm sorry but we are married we should be able to speak to each other about this sort of stuff. But as I said, I'm not going to force you, babe, but I'm here." Chase hummed and agreed.
"I know, Spicer. Please, do not cry any more. I'm sorry for causing your tears. I just didn't wish to talk about it at the time. Let us sleep and we can go from there, alright?" Chase asked gently, pulling Jack with him down the corridor and towards their bedroom. Jack smiled and allowed Chase to guide him.
There were no other words spoken between them, other than 'I love you's' and 'goodnight's', and they drifted off to sleep in each other's arms. Jack felt somewhat okay not knowing something about Chase. It was as long as Chase was okay first. At least Chase had apologised for his outburst, but still Jack felt at fault by it all. Oh well, until morning.

Jack woke up to a tickle on his arm which he instantly chalked it down to Chase tailing his fingertips up and down. Jack hummed happily and sighed at how comfortable he was. The red head opened his eyes and when he heard his husband's chuckles rumble underneath his head. The younger moved slightly to look up to Chase and he smiled lazily when ember met ruby.
"Morning Sexy..." Jack groggily flirted, making Chase smirk and chuckle.
"Morning to you, too, Spicer. How did you sleep?"
"Very well, but I kept dreaming that you didn't want me any more-" Chase unexpectedly moved and caught Jack off guard with a kiss that could melt anyone.
"I never want to hear such nonsense to ever escape your lips again, Jack Spicer." Jack grinned and leaned up to connect their lips again for another kiss for a moment or two.
"But because you have been so patient with me so far, I am happy to divulge with you now." Jack's eyes widened at Chase's declaration.
"Really? You don't have to!"
"I do, Spicer, as you said you do not wish to force me. Well I am not being forced, I want to tell you. You deserve to know." Jack smiled in appreciation. "No secrets, we both vowed, yes?" Chase ended it with, which caused Jack to kiss him again happily. Jack then sat up in bed and awaited Chase to start the story. Chase then sighed.
"Where do I start?" Jack looked like he had an epiphany.
"Do you want me to just ask a question and then go from there?" Chase chuckled humourlessly.
"Fine, we can do that."
"What's your real name?" Even thought Denahi had already told him that, he had to ask to save his hide.
"I already know you know that one... I overheard that conversation..." Jack smiled sheepishly.
"Sorry, I didn't want to know but he just told me anyway. But to be honest it was nice to know something new... but I rather you tell me about it." Chase chuckled and Jack knew instantly that he wasn't in trouble.
"I know, Spicer." Jack nodded and asked another question.
"So... who are you really?" Chase frowned and growled a little.
"I am an Ancient Chinese prince, and my Father was the Jade Emperor." Jack was startled a bit and his mouth opened in shock.
"But I thought that was a myth?!" Chase chuckled. "After everything you've seen?" Jack paused then nodded.
"Touché, you have a point. But the Jade Emperor never had a son? Only his wife had a kid but she asked a deity to bestow it to her. I swear she's the same woman who became the guardian of the moon..." Chase smirked.
"So you know that version."
"There's a different version?" Chase looked away, he looked really agitated but chose to carry on none the less.
"My Mother was a simple beggar in the streets. She sold herself to several men to be able to feed herself and to keep a roof over her head. My Father often came strolling through the village, parading around with his men; soldiers and advisers and so on. He came across that temple as it was known for its medicinal baths. He wanted to try them. My Mother often went because she was sore from her... escapades which most men left her in." Jack frowned but left Chase to continue.
"You had to pay to use the baths though... Mother often paid by cleaning them. The monks there allowed her. The day my Father saw my Mother, she was getting out of one of the baths and he had caught her in all her glory. She had received a lot of abuse the night before which she often got from one of her clients. She always asked them not to finish inside of her to which they agreed to but they always beat her for it instead. She never once complained when they chose... anally but she kept going, hence the baths she had. But Father didn't care for that, hence how I came to be. He... used her." Chase growled angrily.
"Once I was born he told her I would inherit his throne and she would be his consort."
Jack whispered, "What about his current Queen?"
"The Luna Queen, Hou Yi? She felt betrayed by him and wanted to kill my mother." Jack looked into his lap.
"I'm sorry..." Chase hummed in acknowledgement.
"She cursed my mother when I turned 16 and I was hidden away from society, I didn't know about the death of my Mother until a bit later... My Father- Long story short, he ended up being the one to murder my Mother and escaped his clutches, I disowned him and his throne to work at the temple instead. I felt insulted by him wanting me to take over his blood kingdom. But I joined the Xiaolin temple not long after, once I noticed my affinity with fire."
Jack lay down to hug his husband tightly.
"I'm so sorry... how come you still visit him?" Chase glared darkly.
"To stop anyone from taking anything from there or to awaken him from his deathly slumber. Hannibal would have a field day if he knew anything about the tomb... Dojo, Guan and Fung of course helped me keep the tomb hidden." Jack's eyes widened.
"Not trying to be disrespectful or anything? But... can you not destroy it?" Chase sighed and shook his head.
"There is a shield over the temple to stop any one from destroying it. Plus, he purposely built it here because it was my Mother's favourite place. He thought this through very carefully..." Jack scoffed angrily.
"Terracotta army vibe, much?" Chase chuckled.
"Something like that."
"I'm sorry baby, I didn't realise how much that place meant to you and yet how much you hated it..." Chase nodded.
"Now you know..." Jack nodded and they were quiet for a while. They both laid there until Jack started giggling.
"What? What is so funny?" The red head sat up.
" Why change your name to Chase Young... Chasing Youth?" Chase snorted.
"No idea, sounded good at the time." Jack then smiled.
"Well, it's an awesome name to me. As long as you stay Chase Young to me." Chase smiled with love to his bed partner.
"That I can promise."
