CHAPTER 6

The pain was instant and excruciating. My heart rate spiked instantly as my body felt like it was burning but as quick as the pain came, it was gone and I was left gasping for breath and clutching onto the gorgeous male to keep myself up right. The gorgeous male helped hold me up by wrapping an arm around my waist. I could feel myself shaking, in fear or something else, I did not know.

"What do we do with you now?"

For the first time since we arrived one of the other 'kings' spoke up, the hunched over burnett spoke first, followed by the blonde.

"You already know what you are going to do, Aro."

"She knows too much. She is a liability."

Getting my breathing and shaking under control I put some distance between me and the gorgeous male but he just closed the space again, not letting me go. I tried to ignore it as I focused on Aro.

"I don't suppose there's any chance that you've changed your mind? Your talent would be an excellent addition to our little company."

Aro seemed hopeful as he asked Edward one more time before calling for his execution.

"I'd rather no."

"Alice? Would you perhaps be interested in joining us?"

"No, thank you."

Aro didn't seem deterred as he raised his eyebrows at Bella.

"And you, Bella?"

"No, thank you."

Bella copied Alice's answer, typical. Aro's shoulders sank a little at being rejected by everyone.

"Little Cecilia. I do have to ask. If you were in my position. Would you allow them to leave? And don't lie. I will know."

I frowned. I was not expecting that.

"I um…"

I sighed heavily. I knew what my answer was and I knew Bella, Edward and Alice would hate it.

"I would not let them leave unless Bella was changed or killed."

I could hear Bella gasp at my harsh words, making me feel I owed her an explanation.

"I don't want my sister to die but Edward and Alice knew the consequences of their actions by leaving Bella human and not having any plan to turn her."

Aro gave me a smile at my response, seemingly pleased.

"Oh, little Cecilia. You are just perfect for our Alec."

Seeing my clear confusion he gave me an explanation.

"Marcus can see relationships and I saw your connection with our Alec through Edward's thoughts. I know you have already started to feel the effects but it will only get stronger. Felix."

The conversation was over as everything moved in a blur. The gorgeous male, Alec, quickly moved back over to his sister with me still in his arms. Leaving Bella in the middle of the room as the sasquatch, Felix started advancing on her but was luckily cut off by Edward tackling him. Alice has already been grabbed by the other vampire who brought us down here, leaving Edward to fight the sasquatch alone. Edward and sasquatch moved too fast for me to keep up but soon Edward was slammed into the marble floor. Seeing Edward not move and Felix advancing on Bella I started to panic and start thrashing, trying to break free of Alec's hold to run to Bella.

"Leave her alone! Bella!"

I tried to punch Alec in the face but he only wrapped both his arms around me and pinned my arms by my side. I was helpless as I was forced to watch my sister die but luckily Edward recovered and was up, blocking Felix from Bella and setting them off on another fight but this didn't last long until Edward was forced onto his knees but Felix. Bella was now frantically screaming for Aro to kill her instead which drew Aro's attention long enough for Alice to sweep in and save the day.

"Bella will be one of us. I've seen it. I'll change her myself."

Wanting proof of Alice's visions Aro eagerly took her hand.

"Mesmerizing, to see what you have seen even before it has happened."

Looking at Bella, Aro seemed excited.

"You will make for an intriguing immortal. Go now. Make your preparations."

Edward was let up and went straight to Bella as Aro went back to his throne. I thought I would be let go but Alec had refused to let me leave his arm, drawing Aro's attention as Edward, Bella and Alice hesitated by the doors.

"Alec, you need to let Cecilia go. She should not be here when Heidi comes back."

Alec tightened his hold on me before dropping his arms and I all but ran to Bella as Alice wrapped an arm around my back and led me from the room, following behind Edward and Bella. As we walked down the hall, we saw a woman dressed in a pretty red dress being followed by a group of what looked like tourists. The woman seemed quite pleased with herself as the man who was called Demetri by the women, praised her for her excellent fishing. The sound of screams was cut short by the heavy door in the reception area being closed and Demetri speeding off back to the throne room but not before telling us we needed to stay here until dark.
