CHAPTER 8

I was slammed against the counter by Alec, who had an angry look on his face and his hand squeezed my throat threateningly.

"You need to stop picking fights with people bigger and stronger than you."

I silently glared at him, which did not please him.

"Do you understand?"

"Yes."

"Yes what?"

I thought for a minute on what he wanted then came to a conclusion. All those romance novels I've read have prepared me for this moment.

"Yes, Daddy."

That seemed to surprise Alec as his eyes widened a little before he got an arrogant smirk on his face.

"I was looking for yes sir but I'll take it. Princess."

I grew red with embarrassment and went to push past him but Alec wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. Still burning with embarrassment and anger I tried to push him away but Alec seemed to have something else in mind as he lowered his head down so our foreheads were touching which sent my heart rate hammering. His smirk only grew at the blush on my face and my erratic heart rate, before I could protest Alec kissed me. His cold lips molded into my warm ones and it was amazing, I could feel the fireworks exploding inside of me.

I should have pushed him away, but instead, I ran my hands up his chest and around his neck, gripping the hair that brushed his collar and gently pulled on the fist full I grabbed. Alec let out a growl as he tightened his hold on me, running one of his hands up my back to grip a first of my hair. Jerking my head to the side, breaking the kiss as he laid wet kisses along my neck, nipping my flesh every now and then. I was at Alec's mercy and I was quickly growing aroused by it, I couldn't stop the breathy moans that fell from my parted lips.

"Am I interrupting something?"

Alec pulled away from me, standing up straight as he turned to his sister, Jane, who stood in the doorway with a knowing smirk on her face. Jane seemed to wait, maybe wanting Alec to talk first but when he didn't offer anything she finally spoke up.

"The sun has set and the others are ready to leave."

I didn't really want to leave yet, I was enjoying… whatever it is that we were doing. I moved to walk around the island in the kitchen but was stopped by Alec who pulled me to him again.

"Now. Alec. The human can't stay here."

Deciding to listen, Alec pulled me along as we left the kitchen. We walked in silence, with Alec's arm wrapped around me, he seemed to like touching me. We walked up several flights of stairs and down different corridors as my mind started to wander, going over everything that had happened in my head and I just didn't understand how I was still alive.

"Why am I still alive?"

"I saved you. You're welcome, by the way."

I rolled my eyes at his comment. That did not answer my question at all.

"Why did you save me?"

I found myself pushed back against the wall with Alec trapping me between his arms.

"I saved you because you now belong to me."
