CHAPTER 27
Being back in America felt weird, I didn't feel any different, I don't really know what I was expecting to feel. I had remind silent through our plane ride and even on the car ride to the hotel. Once I was settled the queens and all of the guards, save for two, left. The two guards that remained stayed outside of the room, leaving me to explore the hotel suite by myself, which only took about an hour. I tried to entertain myself by taking a shower, eating some ice cream that I ordered from room service and even watched a movie that I didn't even remember the name of. I was growing tired and got up to go to my room when I heard commotion outside of the door. Hearing the door unlock I started to panic, something was telling me that I was in danger. I had ran back to the living room before I was tackled to the ground and flipped over so I was only back. A pale man with red eyes and snow white hair had me pined while a similar looking man but with black hair leaned over his shoulder.
"Well, Vladimir? Is she pregnant?"
"P-pregnant? I'm not pregnant! Thats impossible!"
Vladimir, the vampire that had me pined lifted my shirt to expose my belly, causing me to squirm but that did little as he easily overpowered me with just one hand while his other laid across my stomach, feeling for something. Jerking back after something moved, even i could feel it.
"W-what was that! What are you doing to me?"
"We did nothing. Your witch twin did something we all thought impossible. Congratulations human. You're pregnant with a hybrid."
I felt like I was going to pass out. I could not be pregnant. I only just turned 17 and Alec… well he was thousands of years old but I doubt even he would be ready to be a parent. I didn't even know if Alec liked kids! The only time he ever talked about kids was when he explained immortal children. Would this baby be considered an immortal child? How would this whole pregnancy work? Would I even survive this encounter with these two vampires to find the answer to any of my questions?
"Are you going to kill me?"
"Oh, no. We need you alive. Until you birth the little hybrid."
Pulling me up I was thrown over Vladimir's shoulder as we left the hotel, I only started struggling when I saw the two guards who had been tasked with protecting me, decapitated, their bodies laying on the floor with their head somewhere else, probably thrown down the hallway. My struggling only hurt me so I started yelling, but I was knocked out before i could really yell for help.
ALEC'S POV
I pushed myself to run as fast as I could, only one thing on my mind. I had to get to the hotel. I had to protect my mate. In the back of my mind, I couldn't help but to replay what had happened in the field. Alice had been so sure of herself when she spoke of Cecilia being pregnant, even Athenadora came forward to tell of the strange thumping sound which we now know was my unborn child's heartbeat.
Taking the emergency stairway I didn't slow my run until I had ripped the door off the hinges leading to the hallway. I saw the bodies of the two guards, dread was already building in me as I stepped over them and entered the suite. I could smell them. Those vile Romanians. My mate's fear was still in the air but growing stale as Demetri and Felix showed up a few seconds later.
"Find her Demetri. Find my mate NOW!"
"I can't. I don't know for how long I haven't been able to track her. Aro thinks it may be the baby or…"
"Or she is already dead."
I lashed out. Destroying anything in sight. I was blind with rage, my whole being ached and burned as it did during my last few minutes of my human life. I felt something wet on my face I continued to destroy everything. Taking a second I felt venom tears coming out of my eyes. I didn't even know vampires could cry.
