Paradise Chapter 17-Earthquake

9:09 A.M

Wakko was watching TikTok on his phone when he was in Ms. North's class. His friends were on their phones and some even on their laptops. Then an announcement came on "Attention students of citizens of the world charter school. We are experiencing an earthquake at a magnitude seven."

it all happened so fast.

The building was swaying side to side. "Drop cover and roll!" Miss. North said. Wakko dropped to the floor and went under his desk. The middle Warner covered his head and neck. The building shook. He did as told. He learned all the procedures by Yakko and they also did a segment about earthquakes on the show when it aired. And He was a 'Toon but. He was still following the procedures. He avoided windows. Thankfully his desk was in the middle of the classroom.

Dot surprisingly handled it well. She was in the same position. She was under the teacher's desk. Dot was worried about Yakko. She hoped he was alright. The ground stopped shaking and everyone had to stay under their desks just in case an aftershock came. Dot didn't know what to do, she wasn't prepared for this!

Yakko was still at home. He was hiding under his desk that was in his bedroom. He was just on his laptop watching BENOFTHEWEEK, then all of a sudden. He felt shaking. His sibs weren't home. He wished they were and his guardians, they were at work. He searched up how to stay safe, The Warner Brothers and sister didn't have an earthquake in twenty years and that was in west Hollywood.

After that, Yakko texted Wakko and Dot to male sure they're okay.

Wakko got a buzz on his phone and he looked at the notification in white. It said,

Yakko

Hey, are you okay?

Wakko opened the notification and texted him back. He typed on the keyboard. Soft clicking noises coming out of the speakers of his iPhone and he hit send it made a whoop sound as it sent, the message read in blue on his end.

Wakko

Yeah. Everyone's fine in my class. But I'm not sure about Dot.

Yakko got the message and went to Dot's contact and sent her a text message.

Yakko

Dot, Are you okay?

He hits send. She read it.

Dot

I'm okay. I'm hiding under my teacher's desk

Yakko smiled in relief as he put his phone next to him and sat under his desk.

Yakko then got a text from Channing.

Channing

Are you okay?

Yakko

Yeah, are you

Channing

Everyone in the studio is fine. How about you?

Yakko

I'm okay and I already texted Wakko and Dot and they said they are both okay.

Channing

Okay. i'm going to text them then come to pull them out of school

Yakko read the text on his phone and he nodded. Yakko got up from under his desk as he sat down in his desk chair and leaned back.

Wakko was still shaken up from the earthquake. Everyone was outside on the playground. Dot was holding onto her brother. Kids were sittig, calling their parents, some kids were texting them. Wakko was sitting with Dot. She got a call from Scott. "Hello?" she said. "Dot, are you and Wakko okay?" he asked. "Yeah, we're fine." She said, "Where's Wakko?" he asked. "He's with me. We're at the playground in the basketball court with the other students." she said, still holding the phone in her right hand.

Wakko's hands were now shaking. Dot took a glance at her older brother. "Wakko?" she asked "I-i'm freaking out! We hadn't had an earthquake since twenty years ago! And we weren't alive for that!" Wakko said, It was true, he was born in 2009!

So this was his first earthquake out of the water tower. And that was bad. Very bad. Plotz didn't even let them out. Which is illegal! Well, good for him! That will add up to his long list of crimes against them! Wakko thinks he'll have twenty-five to life in prison for doing all those crimes! Wakko shook his head as his friend Nick sat next to him on the warm ground.

Wakko thinks that they will be out of school for a few weeks because of the damages.

Then, Scott came to pick them up. "Hey guys." Scott said as Wakko, Dot and Luisa all climbed in. "Hey, dad." Luisa said. "Hey Scott." Wakko said, leaning back in his seat. They drove to the house. Eden was in the back with them in her car seat.

Wakko saw most buildings collapsed from it. He took pictures to show Yakko Wakko didn't want to see it anymore as he went on his phone and went on his TikTok. People on his FYP were full of story times and other stuff like that.

Channing actually filled out cards for them when she enrolled them into the school for earthquakes such as today.

Wakko realized that he had his emergency card with him. Hanging on a yellow Pokachu lanyard, he slipped it over his head and put it in his backpack. It said his name in the front and in the back it had information for the parents. So did Yakko and Dot

Once they got home. Wakko smiled as they saw their house come into view, Dot smiled too. But her smile faded as she knew her older brother was in his bedroom. Yakko must have been terrified in there! Wakko and Dot both ran into the house, Channing was behind them.

"Yakko, are you okay?" Dot asked as she saw her brother still under his desk "I'm fine…" Yakko managed a smile. Dot helped him up. She pulled his hand to lift him up as she lifted him. He smiled as he got up, and Yakko sat down. Dot was now angry at her brother for doing something so…. So dumb!

"What the HECK YAKKO! What were you doing upstairs!" Dot yelled "Boi! You could've gotten hurt if it Wasn't a magnute seven, bruh!" Dot said "Dude! The ceiling would've fallen on top of you or something man! Idiot…" She said the final part under her breath. "Well, I didn't KNOW you dork!" Yakko shot back at her sister. "Girl, look at me, I have a broken foot-!" he said, pointing to his cast before continuing "-How in the HECK am i supposed to walk downstairs and find cover! At least I had cover to protect me!" Dot said. "What the heck, Dot I had cover!" Yakko said

"Guys chill out." Wakko said. "Butt out, Wakko!" Yakko and Dot both shot back, Wakko backed up, with his hands up in defense.

"I'm home!" Scott announced. Wakko was downstairs. Dot and Yakko were playing on their switches. Yakko across the living room and Dot on the floor. Scott saw the awkward silence between the three Warner children.

"What happened?" Scott asked. "Ask this dweeb!" Dot Glared at her older brother. "Okay, Yakko. What's up?" he asked. "Well. in the earthquake that we had a few hours ago. I obviously forgot to tell someone to take me downstairs. But I couldn't because my foot was broken." Yakko said—his normally happy and upbeat attitude replaced with a sour one "And Dottie over here. Blew up on me because of it!" Yakko said, regretting that he just called her Dottie.

"You want me to beat you?! You want some of THESE HANDS BOI?!" Dot said. Throwing her switch on a chair as she got up, she was clearly about to fight Yakko and throw some hands at her older brother. "Guys, Chill out!" Wakko told his sibs again before a full-on Pokèmon battle was going to happen right in the living room. Dot glared at Yakko. What a butthole… Yakko thought.

After they cleaned up a little. They had dinner in the house because after the Earthquake most places will be closed. Yakko and Wakko remembered that it was Dot's birthday tomorrow. Channing thought of getting her a skateboard or Vans. she might like that. Yakko thought of getting her an AirPods case or a mini Pokémon backpack with Eevee with the Eeveelutions. Channing just remembered that Zurhi's Birthday is tomorrow too. She made a note to buy her a card with twenty bucks in it.

Once the kids were done with dinner they all went to bed. Channing went to check Yakko's temperature again. She put the back of her hand on his furred head. His fever was still a bit high, so she went into her room and grabbed two tablets of NyQuil. Yakko saw her come back ewit the medicine, he had a bottle of water on his bedside table. He took it. "Thanks." he took them and drank the water.

"Thanks, Channing." she said as she went to sleep.
