NOTE: Emi's thing needs a bit more time to figure out the kinks with. So, here's a short interlude in the meantime.
Interlude 3: Jillian's Storm
Jillian Chen stood over the unconscious body of Toshiki Kai. The blue haired woman had come out to check on him by request of Leon. She didn't expect to find the Kagero user unmoving on the grass.
She lightly kicked his body to see if he was dead. There was a soft groaning that escaped from his lips, signaling that he wasn't dead. Sighing in relief Jillian kicked his body harder this time. "That's for being disrespectful to Master Leon," Jillian huffed. Her yellow orbs scanning the young man's body. Not knowing what had exactly put him into this state, but knew that she couldn't exactly leave him there on the uncomfortable ground.
Huffing in annoyance, Jillian tried to pick up Kai. A ragged breath escaped her lips as she struggled to hold him upright. Jillian was by no means weak and Kai was fit for a man his age, but damn he was putting all of his weight onto her.
Pushing on his back, the water girl slowly turned Kai's body to face her. Then, turned herself around to pick Kai up on her back. Lifting the taller teen onto her back, the water girl made her way back to the Soryu home.
If Leon expected anything when Jillian came back from checking up on Kai it wasn't his childhood friend carrying the larger teen on her back. He stifled a laugh at the comical scene in front of him. Jillian's tired and sweat covered face scowling from the weight of Kai.
"Please get him off of me, Master Leon," Jillian pleaded. Leon answered her prayers and helped Jillian place Kai in one of their spare bedrooms. Still breathing from exhaustion, Jillain turned to Leon.
"Do you know what happened to him, Master Leon?"
"I have a guess, and considering the choices that Toshiki Kai makes he'll either wake up with his rejuvenated wind or a frozen ocean," Leon answered, mysteriously. Jillian shook her head at Leon's usual answers to things. She walked away with a storm brewing in her head at the revenge she planned against Toshiki Kai.
When Kai awoke he found himself on a soft bed in a dark room. Guessing that Leon must've found him outside and brought him back in, Kai got out of the bed and opened the door.
CLANK! SPLASH!
Kai grunted in pain as a bucket of icy water was dumped onto his head, the Kagero user fell on his rear from the unexpected attack. He glared underneath the metal at the sound of Jillian's laughter and Leon's soft chuckles.
Lifting the bucket off his head he glared irritably at the two Aqua Force users. He chucked the bucket at Leon, which Leon dodged easily. "Easy, Toshiki Kai, it's just a joke. Though that should show you not to get on Jillian's bad side."
Kai stared at Leon confused and shifted his gaze at Jillian. The Aqua woman was smirking maliciously as she grabbed a mop to clean up the spilt water on the floor. Kai didn't know what he had done to piss her off, but he swore to avoid doing so in the future.
