Me with 18 days till my birthday: hello ppl! :D
Yes I'm still alive, and I'm hopefully going to be back to my writing schedule. But I haven't seen my laptop since December so I've gotta get back to writing.
(I say as I have over 400 emails XD)
Anyways, enjoy the chapter(While I line up how the rest are going to go lol)
The siblings continued searching for the portal in the rubble of what was once a beautiful Japanese town. Smoke surrounded the majority of the buildings and a lot of other areas, and it was getting harder for them to see in the haze that surrounded pretty much everything.
After a while, they reached the riverbank, still searching for the portal. "The Motoyasu-gawa river. This means we're near bridge 22." Ashley said, looking at the river. "How in the world do you know so much about these disasters?!" Petey asked in confusion. "I did some research on a bunch of historical disasters for a 6th grade history project, for one. Another thing...DUCK AND COVER!" Ashley exclaimed.
An enormous rumble engulfed the riverbank. "Little sis, what's the probability that what just happened is another nuclear bomb?" Petey asked. "100%. AHORA CORRE POR ELLO!" Ashley screamed, snatching her brother's wrist and racing down the riverbank.
The duo ducked in a hollow tree just as it began raining. They had already been in Hiroshima a couple hours, and the entire day had already been a complete disaster in itself. But they still had three more to go.
"Eso estuvo cerca. Pero todavía tenemos un portal para encontrar. mejor nos vamos." Ashley said, stepping out of the hollow tree and pulling up her sweater hoodie. "How much longer do we have in this place?!" Petey whined as they began walking through the woods. " I don't know. All we can do is go with the flow and hope we don't die in the last three events we have to go through." Ashley said, looking up in the sky.
"Hey look! Isn't that the portal?" Petey asked, pointing at the certain hole in the sky. Upon closer inspection from the teenaged girl, it indeed was the portal, and their ticket out of there!
"Yep! That's our cue. Now we better get outta here before we die at the hands at yet another atomic bomb!" Ashley said, racing towards the portal with her brother close behind.
Sure enough, another atomic bomb began falling towards the city, and just as it hit the ground, the portal began opening in the mud just ahead, and the siblings had the choice of die, or slam themselves into the portal before the entire forest was blown up.
Fortunatley, the siblings chose the latter, and used their last ounces of strength and energy to basically slam themselves into the portal, just as the forest exploded.
Meanwhile, in the 21st century...
"I am this close. Now that those two idiots are out of my way, your leader can't use her powers and STOP ME!" Janna exclaimed, as the younger kids and teenagers watched her. She had pacing the auditorium stage for hours now, and Gavin was getting annoyed.
"Janna, we got a problem." One of her friends said, loading up the camera. Janna looked at it, and instantly knew she had a pretty big issue on her hands.
"Oh, fudgecakes." Janna muttered.
FINALLY! I FINISHED AN ACTUAL CHAPTER!
Alright, now I gotta be in bed in 5 minutes so Imma just post this ASAP!
