*Walks in singing random songs from Hamilton* Oh hi guys!
(I love Hamilton XD)
Sorry for the late update my physical health took a plunge and I was unable to get myself to sit at my laptop desk to write
(I got a pretty big fever, to put it lightly XD)
I'm still a little sick but Im good enough to where I can go to school/write my stories.
We're almost at the end of the fanfiction finally! :D
Enjoy chapter seven!
Warning: Mild language
January 28th, 1986
Ashley woke up in what she thought was one of the two rocket boosters, but wasn't quite sure.
(Yes, I did science for this episode XD)
She continued to examine her surroundings, before determining they were in the orbiter part of whatever they were in.
"Doesn't the orbiter mean we're on a spaceship?" Petey asked. "Yeah. Oh no," Ashley muttered. "What?" Her brother asked.
"We're on the challenger," Ashley muttered. She checked her phone. only about a minute after launch. Oh no...she knew what came next
"Which means?" Her brother asked silently.
"RUN!" Ashley screamed, scrambling to get them both up as the explosion began taking the ship out bit by bit. The duo slammed themselves into the orbiter wall as hard as they could, but it was no use.
73 seconds after liftoff, the Challenger Space Shuttle exploded, with everyone still on it.
Everyone besides Ashley and Petey, who managed to plummet out of the space shuttle and escape, landing in the warm waters around Cape Canaveral. Luckily, they landed on a stable part of the wing as it crashed into the ocean.
"Crap," Ashley muttered, holding her breath for whatever came next.
April 1986(Yes, I'm adding both the 1986 disasters in this story)
Ashley awoke, and almost immediately regretted it. Her head pounded from the amount of head trauma she had gone through that day, and she smelled something that seemed like it'd be radioactive.
"Chernobyl," She muttered. "The hells Chernobyl?" Her brother asked. "One of the worst nuclear disasters in history. It cleared out a good chunk of this city," Ashley explained. She checked her phone. 1:23 AM.
"Oh shit," She mumbled, making sure the buildings windows were shut and locked. Suddenly, a huge boom was heard, followed by a flashing light like thunder, and then silence and darkness.
"That didn't sound good," Petey said. "Hey, at least we didn't suffer anything! Worst case scenario, we would've returned with radioactive poisoning," Ashley replied. "True," Her brother said. The smell of smoke suddenly filled the air, and their hearts dropped.
They raced downstairs, and noticed the damage. The entire outdoor setting around the building was covered in smoke. Petey stood, starstruck, while Ashley dug around for anything that could block out the smoke, ash, and radioactive oxygen.
"If we're getting out of here alive, we're gonna have to go out there and search for the portal. That way, we'll get to 2001, and blast ourselves back to our time period, and then pretend this never happened," Ashley said. "How much radiation do you think is out there?" Her brother asked, grabbing a mask from the table.
"Well, according to the research that won't help us now, there was at least 20,000 roentgens per hour, what that stuff means. Meaning, if we breathe that stuff in, we're dead with three weeks," Ashley explained.
She opened the door, and felt around for anything that was a sign of help. But then she noticed the ground that wasn't there. Carefully, she looked down, and lit up with hope.
"The portal!" The siblings exclaimed. Without thinking, Ashley jumped in, with her brother close behind.
Alright, we're almost at the climax. The duo just need to survive the 9/11 attacks, and they'll be fine!
9/11 is most likely going to be out either not long either before or after my birthday, so expect it soon. It depends on the research I need done before I write it out, so it's going to be a little while.
See y'all later! :) Luv y'all, and stay safe(Mostly to my Ukraine readers) :)
