On a sunny Thursday afternoon, the Cherrys were staying at Uncle Lionel's home in Virginia Beach. Kiki and Daniel came along too, because Kiki's parents are going to their timeshare in Orlando they go to every year and Daniel had the option joining his best friends to Virginia Beach or help his grandfather repaint the house. Knowing from his past experience in paint, he hates the kind with stains hard to come out.
At a lovely home, they parked outside and jumped out of the car, "Just what we needed," Aunt Davina said. "A long leg stretch after hours in our van."
"And a tuning of my guitar," replied Bennie.
"Kiki," Candy said to her friend, "how come your not going to Orlando like you did with your parents over the past 10 years?"
"Because I want to be with you guys," Kiki answered. "Someone has to keep your imagination under control."
"You're right," Candy replied. "Plus you told me that the kids at the timeshare you go to lack in art talent."
At the door, Uncle Lionel greeted his sister, sister-in-law, nieces, nephew, and youngest niece's friends. "How you guys doing?" he greeted. "Guess what I found during my music lessons I teach - a magazine where we see hot pinups."
"Lionel," groaned Principal Cherry, "no one wants to see that stuff."
"Come on, sis," replied Lionel. "It's not that bad. You kissed them too when you were young."
"Only when there fully clothed and wearing swimsuits. Plus they were too skinny for me."
She took Aunt Davina's hand and kissed her on the cheek. "I love it when you kiss her," smiled Lionel.
Just then, a jeep drove up and out came Harper. Ronnie had forgotten to tell her adoptive mothers that she was bringing her boyfriend along to meet her uncle. With a lot of delight, Lionel was pleased to meet Harper.
"As you may know," Lionel replied, "I work at Beach Fiddler Music Shop as a piano teacher. Sometimes I tell my students about mine, Charlie's, and Regina's past, including the Naples Academy of Dance incident."
Petrified, Regina decided to take her children, Candy's friends, and her wife inside before Lionel embarassed her even more.

Inside, Candy and Bennie were going around their uncle's house when Candy spotted a flier on the refrigerator's door.
Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me Surfing Contest
Saturday at Noon.
"About that," replied Lionel. "I've been wanting to do that, but I lack in surfing talent. I remember seeing those surfing simulation videos on Facetube where Bennie did one during."
Bennie remembered going to Cowabunga Coen's surf simulation and wiping out twice. He had a little practice thanks to some books, but was dying to do it for real.
"Maybe Bennie can enter for you," suggested Candy. "This will be a great chance to promote Bennie and the Jets."
"I don't know," Bennie replied nervously. "What if I fall off the board again?"
"Your going to be fine, Bro." assured Candy.
"My niece," smiled Lionel, "always imaginative and optimistic."
This gave Candy an idea. "While Aunt Regina and Aunt Davina go window shopping for the RDA Senior Prom," she suggested, "we can teach Bennie how to surf properly."
"Good idea," agreed Uncle Lionel. "This would also be a good way to spend your spring break. Many kids these days are on their phone and play video games.
"Okay," Harper said in confusion.

The next day at the beach, our heroes were relaxing and having a good time. Candy, Kiki, and Daniel were making sand castles, Harper was collecting shells to give to his family in England, Ronnie was drawing the beaches, and Lionel was showing Bennie how to surf. He was still nervous, but Candy knew that her brother needed confidence adjustments in surfing. So, she decided to use her imagination to help him out, "Let's imagine like we're on 'Gilligan's Island'," smiled Candy, "with shipwrecks, palm trees, and bushes."

Once it was fully imagined, everyone was dressed like characters from 'Gilligan's Island'., "Are we castaways?" asked Uncle Lionel in confusion.
"Of course, Uncle Lionel," answered Candy. "I'm the captain, your the skipper, Daniel is the professor, Harper is the millionaire, Ronnie is his wife, Bennie's the movie star, and Kiki's the farm girl."
"Here's what I learned from 'Survivor' on CBS," recalled Lionel. "We have to make our own fire, shelter, and find food ourselves."
"Not like that Chili's commercial featuring NSYNC*," recalled Bennie. "I remember watching that on Facetube when I saw them having a picnic of ribs. That's no way to survive in the wild. I'm still not sure about this, Candy, I'm growin' tired, and time stands still before me."
"Come on, Bennie," dismissed Candy. "You're nothing like NSYNC*, at least not after Justin went solo."
Bennie was nervous, but decided to work on his surfing. "Although I search myself," Bennie admitted, It's always someone else I see. My sisters and my uncle."
First he did a hang ten, then a hand stance, and he decided to improvise by doing his guitar routine. Feeling so thrilled, he decided to try them out in the water. During the same routine, he saw some dolphins, and one said in Aunt Regina's voice, "Be careful out there, Cadet Bennie."
"Yeah," answered a dolphin in Aunt Davina's voice. "You're going to wipe out."
But he didn't listen and unintentionally wiped out.

Back in reality, Aunt Regina and Aunt Davina were stairing at them, who had bags of goodies for the senior prom-goers.
"Giving Little Spice a surfing lesson?" Davina asked.
"You've been watching?" asked Bennie nervously.
"We have," answered Aunt Davina. "You seem to be getting better at balancing."
"As Elton John once said," said Bennie, "But see me once and see the way I feel."
After Bennie told his adoptive mothers about the contest, they thought it was a good idea for Bennie and the Jets, as long as he didn't wipeout again.
"You got this, Beniamino!" shouted Ronnie.
Candy was confused on why Ronnie called Bennie that, but Ronnie told her that she didn't want to know.

Later at the Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me Surfing Contest, Lionel entered Bennie into it. The mayor knew that Lionel was banned from any town competitions for his annoying teaching antics, but due to the fact that the mayor's secretary saw Bennie and the Jets videos on Facetube, he allowed Bennie in.
Once Bennie entered with the other competitors, he saw Harper next to him. "You surf, Harper?" he asked.
"I've done surfing while I was in Compton Bay," Harper answered. "I figure if I could do it once, I can do it again."
"Hey, look!" shouted a surfer. "It's Lionel Cherry's sour nephew!"
"Yeah!" replied another surfer. "He surfs like a circus clown!"
Instead of getting involved in the argument, Bennie just ignored them and did his surfing routine.
During the next hour, surfers hung loose, ride the waves, and feel the ocean breeze. After Harper was done with his surfing tricks, it was Bennie's turn to be in the competition. However, Bennie won second place, but his family was proud of him.
"You won second place," smiled Davina. "That's not that bad, Little Spice."
"Thanks Aunt Davina," replied Bennie. "I just wanted to impress Uncle Lionel and the Jets."
"What's more important is that you did your best Cadet Bennie," Regina replied. "Plus, the first place prize wasn't worth it."
"I'd just allow a fragment of your life to wander free." continued Davina.
"And get the second place prize," Kiki interrupted. "A gift certificate to The Golden Bomb Bakery, home of the Dynamite Danish. We could really use a real reward, one that's better than money."
"That's the spirit," smiled Lionel. "Plus I know the owners there. Their daughter takes piano lessons at my music shop too."
Candy, Kiki, and Daniel were impressed because he knew the owners. "You guys go on ahead!" shouted Ronnie. "I'm going to catch up with you later!"
"No prob, sis," replied Candy. "And tell Harper congratulations on winning the surfing contest."
Looking through the crowd, Ronnie found Harper interviewing the local reporters for winning the contest for his dance routines on his surfboard. "So you're saying you entered so he can show Ronnie the wonders of the water?"
"I would do anything for Ronnie,"replied Harper, "Even inspire her for a new portrait."
Ronnie smiled at what Harper said about her.
After the interviewers left, Harper found Ronnie waving at him, "You did your best, Harper." commented Ronnie, "Who to thought the judges would be impressed by a British tourist. By the way, what is the first prize."
"Not only an interview with the web show, Mirage Surfer, but a year supplies of beach products." answered Harper, "This will be perfect for the students for the RDA so they can survive the summer."
"That's smashing." answered Ronnie.
Harper and Ronnie looked at each other and blushed. Ronnie took Harper's hand and they walked among the beach.
The End.
