Clancy looked towards his 'roommate' (read, jail cell buddy), who was muttering to himself and writing up a storm in a notebook that was in the cell. The human hybrid looked away from the man and came up to the window of the cell. His wings flickered like mad as he sensed around for bugs. His roommate stopped muttering and began to observe him. Clancy stared out as a few butterflies began to gather at the window.
"Do you know where I am?" Clancy whispered to the quite beautiful butterflies.
The colorful insects waved their antennes around, their own wings deathly still. His own wings flickered as the bugs talked to him.
"Why am I not surprised…" Clancy whispered to himself. He then whispered to the butterflies, "Do any of you happen to know a way out?"
One of the butterflies flew into the cell, the hybrid following its movements. His cellmate pointed all of their attention towards the butterfly as well. The butterfly landed on a chest in the corner of the room, antennes waving around once more. Clancy blinked at the bug before grabbing the chest and pulling it away from the corner. His cellmate raised a brow as the chest moved to reveal a hole dug in the corner of the room.
Clancy smiled. "Why thank you, little one," he said, allowing the bug to land on his hand. It waved its antennes a bit before flying back out and away with the rest of its swarm. He folded his wings to be closer to his body and he jumped into the hole.
He looked around before quickly crawling down it. The hybrid wasn't sure how long it would be until the guards realized he was gone.
"Mind if I join you?"
Clancy turned around, noticing his cellmate crawling behind him. The hybrid shrugged. "I'm not bothering to stop you," Clancy replied as he continued to crawl.
As they crawled, the tunnel became darker and darker. His cellmate (escape-mate?) muttered something under his breath. Clancy blinked a bit before his vision blurred slightly and was tinted with light blue. The hybrid continued, ignoring the other's confused expression on what just happened.
Eventually, the tunnel came to an end. Clancy stopped at the end and looked around. His wings wanted to flicker, but he forced them not to. The hybrid looked towards the other, who had a hand on the ceiling. The other grinned like mad, placed both hands in one place, and pushed up. Something shifted upwards and he made a noise as said thing was pushed out of the way. Clancy tilted his head slightly before the other climbed out through the hole the object hid. He came to the tunnel exit, looked down the way they came, then climbed out as well.
Clancy finally let his wings snap up and allowed them to hover him around as the other replaced what was blocking the exit. He looked up at the night sky. The moon was full and the stars twinkled around it.
"Well, I'll say that was a success," the other said, immediately taking out a device that looked like a sleek metal stick with a light at the end of it. He pressed it and looked at Clancy. "Now excuse me, but I need to find something that can help me with my experiments. Once, of course, my bird gets here."
Clancy blinked at the madman, wings flickering slightly.
The man continued, "Maybe there would be some DNA to take from that Area 51 place, maybe some sort of vault those weird 'Forever Knights' people have. Imagine if there was something out there that held pieces of DNA of everything on this planet…"
Clancy raised a brow at the other's muttering. Then he remembered something. The hybrid said, "Would you settle on alien DNA?"
The man looked weirdly at him. "What makes you say that?"
Clancy landed on the ground, saying, "The town I was in when I was caught. It's full of creatures that are so otherworldly that I wouldn't be surprised if they were all aliens."
"Really? A town of aliens?" the other said, stepping towards him a bit. He nodded. "Consider me intrigued. I am Dr Animo."
"Clancy," the hybrid provided.
A caw caused them to look up, then at a massive, mutated crow as it landed. Clancy openly stared at the bird as Animo climbed onto its back.
"Well. What was this town called?" Animo inquired as he took a helmet from the bird's back and put it on.
Clancy came to the back of the bird and said, "Sparksville." The crow suddenly shot into the air, causing Clancy to squeak.

EightEight stared at the Wyrmlings. Gwen, Ben, and Kevin were with Ani, Beu, and the small mummy-like, the small group playing a card game. Well, the latter three had on ID masks to make them look like normal humans. She did as well. The Sotoraggian leaned back slightly, looking up towards the sky. It was a rather nice day out, all things considered. She glanced back at the six as Ben and Ani both chirped something, the other four reacting to whatever just happened in the card game. Six 'normal' children playing a 'normal' card game. When was things ever normal in Sparksville?
She looked towards the sky again. Then squinted under her mask. There was a black dot in the sky, too small to be a plane yet too big to just be an Earth bird.
Then it shifted to be smaller, but began to grow larger. EightEight stared at it for a moment before putting a hand on the talon she kept with her. As it came closer, it gained the appearance of a giant, mutated Earthen bird made of shiny black feathers and purple near black scales.
The bird suddenly let out a deafen screech, causing the children to flinch as she stood up and twirled the talon in her hand. The six scattered as the bird smashed into the ground. She dashed towards it and swung the talon at its leg. The bird suddenly jumped, making the swing miss as the bird grabbed the Omnitrix. A green crack suddenly sparked as a piece of the Omnitrix broke off and Gwen yelled, "Hey!" A red light behind the Sotoraggian meant Ben transformed as she threw the talon at the bird and Kevin launched a bolt at it.
The shiny black bird dashed into the air with Goowash soon following it. "What is that?!" Ani yelled, leaping towards where the two birds began to fly towards. Beu and the mummy joined him as Gwen activated the Omnitrix.
Goowash screeched, causing one of the people on the back of the bird to look at him. He glared at Clancy as the hybrid seemed to notice the symbol around the Stormslime's neck. The Stormslime stalled, moving a wing back before throwing it at the mutated crow. Clancy said something to the other man and the crow promptly shot upwards, dodging the goo. He cawed at the crow as red energy began to form on the bird back. The energy was shot at him and his eyes widened. It crashed into him, but he felt nothing. He blinked, shaking his head slightly before looking back at the others and flying over.
A green flash surrounded Gwen as EightEight growled. "This isn't Selket," the Omnitrix wielder said, causing her to turn towards her. She paused.
"I'm sorry," EightEight gurgled, baffled. Ani and Beu basically tilted their heads at the same time as Kevin made an odd face and the mummy stared.
Something had gone wrong. In Gwen's place was an odd hybrid between a Kineceleran and a Florauna. The hybrid had the general shape of a Kineceleran, but it had four vine legs and its skin was more akin to a Florauna as well. The Kineceleran claws were replaced with a Winter Florauna's hands and small, thorn-like seeds were growing on her forearms. The Omnitrix symbol still resided on her chest, but instead of its normal hourglass shape, it was more of a crosshair in the shape of diamonds. Her two dark blue eyes blinked before she looked at herself. Her vine tail flicked slightly as her eyes squinted. She then said, "What is this, Nike with Medeina's powers?"
"Nikina?" the mummy suggested.
"I… guess?" the newly named Nikina replied, head tilting slightly.
A few odd seconds of silence passed before Goowash landed nearby and stared at Nikina. The Stormslime looked at Nikina before asking, "Did the crow cause this?"
Nikina shrugged, but the disguised mummy said, "Well, it's the only thing that makes sense."
"Cleo isn't wrong," Kevin added, coming over.
EightEight snapped her fingers, gaining the group's attention, before signing, 'What did the bird take?'
"I… wasn't really paying attention, I think it was just a piece of the Omnitrix," Nikina answered.
Goowash lifted a wing and pressed the Predatrix symbol, the device promptly chirping, "Quick-change is disabled. Early timeout is disabled. Seven Earthen minutes remaining."
The Stormslime looked at EightEight and said, "I can go after the crow to see where they're heading." EightEight nodded and Goowash once again took into the sky, flying off.
EightEight looked at Nikina and signed, 'Tell Crow to stay here. You and I will follow slime eagle.' Nikina tilted her head slightly.
"Kevin, Sister Afri said that you'll stay here," Nikina said, head still tilted.
"What, why?" Kevin chirped. EightEight stared at Kevin. Time seemed to slow as the two stared at each other. After a bit, Kevin took a step back and whispered, "O…k… then…"
EightEight gurgled something in reply. She then started off, motioning Nikina to follow. Nikina looked at the others before going to follow the Sotoraggian.

The crow dove down to a decaying building, flying inside and landing on the ruined ground. Clancy quickly zipped off of the bird, wings flickering as Animo got off much more calmly. Animo retrieved what the bird caught as Clancy settled under a tree that grew into the building. As the hybrid lowered himself to the ground, the mad doctor began to observe the piece they took.
Just as Clancy was about to doze off, Animo commented, "This device piece holds DNA. At least, it has bits of DNA in it. I think it's DNA. Looks too much like DNA for it to not be DNA."
Clancy looked over and asked, "A DNA device?"
"Yes, exactly!" Animo nodded, grinning and holding up the small, hoop-like device. He looked at it more closely and said, "Although… there only seems to be four samples within it at the moment…"
"Mind explaining?" Clancy chirped with a raised brow. Animo hummed.
"Well, in each of these little domes on it is a piece of DNA," Animo started, moving the small hoop-like device around. "There's only four of the domes and each DNA sample looks very different. This one has oddly red DNA, this has an icky white and green, then a somewhat white and scaly one, and the final one has this weird grey frog color. It seems as if it was only made to hold only so many samples…"
As Animo began to ramble, Clancy took another look at the large, mutated crow. On one of its legs was a piece of metal that seemed to act as a brace. Its wings seemed sharper than a normal crow's and there were spikes coming from the joints that connected its wings to its body. Its eyes were glaring at the scientist like its life depended on it.
Animo went over to a wall that held different kinds of blasters, picking one up with his free hand. The scientist continued, "If I can incorporate this device into one of these blasters, there might be a chance it could mutate who it hits. Imagine how this could change things!" He almost seemed to zoom to a table, the crow watching Animo's every move.
Clancy moved closer to the tree, pulling down some of the vines to make a little nest. He moved some of the twigs around before settling down in his nest. His wings tucked into him as Animo began to ramble again.
The crow looked up, staring up at Goowash.
The Stormslime stared down before turning and flying down to the ground. As he touched the ground, the Predatrix beeped and transformed him back to normal. Ben looked around before coming to a hole in the wall, crouching down and looking in. The crow was back to staring at Animo while the scientist worked and Clancy seemed to have settled into a slumber.
"Say, Clancy?" Animo started, turning towards the hybrid. His glance turned into a deadpan stare as he saw Clancy sleeping in a pile of twigs, vines, and moss. He sighed before returning to his work. "If you aren't going to listen, don't ask. Sheesh…"
The crow seemed to laugh.
"Shush, you!" Animo growled, but the crow seemed to laugh louder in response. The mad scientist then whispered, "Stupid bird…" He went back to work as the crow flew up and perched on the massive tree invading the center of the ruined lab.
Ben leaned forward a bit to look up at the mutated bird. The crow shifted, still standing up but seemingly not paying attention to anything. The wielder of the Predatrix backed away, silently leaving the hole. He sat under a bush near the hole and stared down at the currently green watch. He just needed to wait.

EightEight stared, standing on a rock as Nikina popped out of the ground. The hybrid coughed before saying, "Of all the things that Medeina has, it's that there's no need to breathe in that form! But no, this weird hybrid thing can't do that because it said so!"
The Sotoraggian laughed her Cheshire cat laugh, causing Nikina to glare at her. She signed, 'Hilarious.'
Nikina glared at her before a red light detransformed her. Gwen replied, "It wasn't funny!"
EightEight was about to reply when the Omnitrix whined and began to spin. They looked at it before a sudden flash of green took over her.
"Oh what now?!" an odd autotuned voice chirped, almost seeming the original voice was raspy. When the light finally faded, in Gwen's place was a hybrid between a Galvanic Mechamorph and Pyronite. It had the normal shape of a Mechamorph, with a black main body and white torso and legs, but its feet and hands were a pure fiery green. What would normally be code-like lines were now more like the cracks between the different rocks on a Pyronite, the same fiery green as the hands and feet and spreading into the white bits. Her head was surrounded by a green fire and her face was similar to that of a Pyronite just with a Mechamorph's single eye. The Omnitrix laid where it sat on her Mechamorph form, but its symbol had not returned to its normal hourglass shape.
EightEight simply tilted her head at the new transformation. The hybrid between Pele and Theia yelled, "Oh what the hell is this?!"
'Language,' the Sotoraggian signed. Thele glared at her.
"Screw you too," Thele replied. EightEight chuckled, causing Thele to facepalm.
EightEight began to move towards the direction the Predatrix user flew. Thele sighed before following the Sotoraggian.
-(...)-
The device beeped and Ben looked at it. The Predatrix was back to its normal bright red. He activated it and turned the dial until the hologram of Bugcatcher came up. Ben stepped out of the bush before pressing down.

Clancy grumbled slightly, wings flickering as he changed his position. His wings kept flickering, causing him to open his eyes and look around. The hybrid froze, staring into bright purple eyes. He scrambled back as the lizard roared.
Animo blinked at the noise before turning around. He stared as Clancy was chased by a massive white lizard.
"What the hell?!" Animo yelled. "What is that?!"
"You tell me!" Clancy yelled in reply as he flew up. The massive white lizard began to climb up the wall, chasing after the hybrid. Fog bellowed from the lizard's mouth as it climbed.
Animo looked up and yelled, "You stupid crow, get down here!"
The crow didn't move.
The lizard suddenly crashed to the ground, purple eyes staring at Animo. The mad scientist snapped towards its direction as it said, "You're not supposed to be here."
"I'm sorry, IT TALKS?!" Clancy screamed.
Animo quickly zipped over to the weapons rack, the lizard soon following him. The mad scientist ripped one of the guns from the wall, aimed it at the lizard, and shot. The bullet- of course it was a normal gun and not one of the special ones- bounced harmlessly off the massive lizard's scales as it approached.
He dropped the gun and quickly dashed out of the way as the lizard suddenly surged forward, crashing into the wall. The lizard glared at Animo before looking back up to Clancy. The hybrid froze from where he stood on the tree branch, staring back at the lizard. It surged towards the tree, causing Clancy to freak and begin flying higher in the tree.
Animo coughed from the table he was ducking next to. The fog the lizard breathed seemed more like a cloud than anything, especially with it covering the tree, blocking it from view. He squinted at the fog cloud before going back over to his project. Animo picked up the blaster and the small hoop, looking at them. He made sure the hoop went in with the frog colored DNA at the top of the hoop. He replaced the plating and looked up.
A grin came across his face. Finally, the crow was doing something. It flew around the tree, causing the fog to separate and disappear. Clancy stayed near the bird, though he wasn't sure why since the hybrid didn't seem to like the crow. The lizard was perched on a branch before leaping towards them. The crow flew out of the way, Clancy following. The white lizard landed on the wall, claws digging in before it roared.
Animo aimed the altered blaster towards the bird and shot, a green and purple burst being released. It crashed into the bird, causing the lizard and the hybrid to pause. The bird shook its head from the blast, looking around.
"THAT DID NOTHING!" Clancy shouted, looking down at Animo.
"How was I supposed to know that the DNA won't do anything!?" Animo yelled back.
Clancy suddenly yelped as the lizard pounced on him, bringing them both to the ground. The crow did nothing, simply staring at them. Animo pointed the blaster at the lizard and shot at it.
Something on the lizard's neck suddenly let out a crackling bolt of red electricity, which crashed into the green and purple energy blast. The lizard reeled, yelling, "The heck!"
Clancy bolted, wings flickering like there was no tomorrow. His mind was scattered. His unknown side was freaking out, wanting a way to escape, while his human side refused to understand what was going on in general. The lizard showing up, the crow doing absolutely nothing, yelling in freaking general-
Suddenly, there was fire, which was oddly green, but then the fog exploded. It once again reeled, releasing a roar laced with an emotion Clancy's mind refused to pinpoint.
Animo looked towards the fire, his anger boiling. The gun did nothing to his crow, the lizard wasn't even hit in the first place, and now he couldn't get the chance to change which DNA was being used. A black, white, and green figure walked through the fire, the fire marking its entrance.

Thele stared at Clancy and Animo, briefly looking towards Bugcatcher. Bugcatcher smiled at her, fog rolling out from his mouth and nose. She surged forwards, fire spawning in both of her hands, when the Omnitrix freaked out. A green light surrounded her and she changed into something different.
When the light faded, she was floating. EightEight stared through the hole the previous form melted. It appeared to be a hybrid between a Petrosapien and an Ectonurite. Her head was the shape of her Ectonurite form, just with the ponytail being more sharper. The thinner Petrosapien arms had ripped through the Ectonurite sun skin, revealing her crystal body to be a grey purple color. The sun skin was more of a dress, with it fully covering her head, but tearing at the arms and ripped skin forming a skirt that went just under the knees of the hybrid. Its legs seemed like a fusion between the two DNA sources, with it having two legs but them ending in a tail-like point. A single yellow eye looked through the hole in the sun skin, staring at the three of them.
Without its source, the fire died away, allowing EightEight to rush in. She suddenly launched a talon at the device in Animo hands. It crashed into the device, causing the mad scientist to yell at her and Clancy to take into the air.
Kleostyx floated forward before lifting a hand. Crystals form at her hands, herself shaping them to look like little wooden dolls in simple outfits that were fused to their skin. A sudden life came to them and the Ectonurite seemed to smile to herself. In a brief second, the eye flashed purple and her aura revealed complete fear before returning to what it previously was.
Bugcatcher returned to his chase after Clancy as EightEight ran up to Animo. Animo squawked as the Sotoraggian ripped the device from his hands, kicking him back as she did so. She reclaimed her talon and ripped the blaster's plating off. EightEight claimed the dial from the blaster before looking towards the duo.
Bugcatcher kept Clancy under a claw, fog surrounding them. Kleostyx was simply floating there with three puppet-like crystal formations moving around as if controlled by her. The ghostly puppets surged toward Animo, causing the scientist to freak. EightEight looked at the crow, but it was simply standing on the tree, looking down with a blank look.
Bugcatcher grabbed Clancy before coming back to the ground. The human hybrid seemed frozen with fear, body completely stiff. The three puppets held onto Animo, who was thrashing in their grasps. Kleostyx floated over to Animo before lifting a hand and phasing it into his brain. The scientist made an odd noise before becoming silent. She hummed, then floated over to do the same to Clancy. Bugcatcher dropped the passed out bug man before the Predatrix detransformed him. The puppets dumped Animo onto Clancy before returning to Kleostyx. The three gathered back to one spot.
Before any of them could say anything, the crow landed next to them. It looked at them before seemingly bowing towards them. The crow then went over to Animo and Clancy, grabbed them, then promptly flew into the sky, beating its wings.
"That… happened," Ben commented. EightEight held out the dial to Kleostyx and she took it.
"Let's hope this doesn't happen again," Kleostyx stated before putting the dial on the symbol. The Omnitrix beeped and detransformed her. The watch beeped once the light was gone, itself twisting the dial before settling down.
"I don't want to know if that can happen with the Predatrix," EightEight commented before motioning for the two to follow.
Ben replied, "The Predatrix doesn't really have a dial to turn, so I don't think so." The Sotoraggian hummed.
Ushi: In my opinion, the most 'mysterious' alien is Gutrot. I know he's basically a walking talking chemist, but there was a time in OV where he made gas that attracts To'Kustars. What else could Gutrot do if he could do that?
